We asked for a handicap room it was so steep could not get into room, there were no other rooms available, so you sent a message saying we would not be charged for not showing up, we did come and could not get another room, the error was at your end. Never said sorry just refunded my cc and walked away, we will never be booking there again. Not good customer service at all. Disappointed 😞

Apology and better customer service is important, customer should not be blamed when your company was the one who made the error, and we have stayed here previous times, and we will not recommend friends to go there.

One can park the car right in front of the room. It has a small dining table plus a writing desk as well. The room and bathroom are clean. Coffee maker and microwave also very clean. Close by within walking distance is A&W and Save-On Foods. The view from the parking lot looking out is very beautiful too.

Not enough lighting for reading in bed, although the entrance and wash basin area has 2 bright enough lights for reading, if you don’t mind sitting near the door. Window pane and floor boards needs new paint.

There was a breakfast? None that I know of.

We have stayed there everytime we come to Creston and we feel we get the best price for what we would call a 3.5 star hotel. The cleanliness is good and staff very accomodating.T

Very dirty & run down, dingy. Floor was dirty, behind the bed was gross, mold in the shower. Did not feel comfortable as a result. One cup only available to use for coffee though there were 2 of us.

Nothing, very disappointed. Entire property and our room is extremely run down.

Lack of basic facilities in the unit, we had a micowave but no dishes to heat anything up. Two of us in the unit and only two paper cups, had to rinse and reuse. The entire unit was very run down and in need of a full makeover. Our confirmation said we had a garden view, all the gardens are dead, lack of water, but all brown dead plants still in the garden. If the owners think this is how you run an accommodation facilities, then think again.

Room was badly in need of renovation, dealing wall paper in the bathroom, caulking on the tub needs redoing and bathroom floor in dire need of replacement.

It was my second stay after Shambhala. I mean its a bit old and run down but that adds to the charm. Perfect old school motel.

It was easy to locate and had lots of parking with an outdoor sitting area.

The incorrect room was given at check-in. Had to show reservation confirmation to get correct room. Incorrect room was given because the price of room had increased since I reserved so a lower priced room was initially given. We did end up with the correct room. We were offered a 10% discount in the hotel restaurant if we showed the room key. They only had 1 key so when shown that at the restaurant, they only discounted 1 meal, instead of both of our meals. As well, the woman at check-in was also in the restaurant which had terrible service. Quality of food was very questionable.

The comfort of the mattress was passable.

This is not a hotel. It's a motel. There is mold in the shower. The couch was old, dirty and had no feet. The mattress fell off of it's foundation support and we had to re position it. There are not enough wall plugs. We had to unplug the micro wave to charge the phone A plug behind the couch had a broken plastic cover but was usable. At $125 per night it is way overpriced. The pictures online are misleading. This place is very low end.

Floor in bathroom rotton and crumbling

My son and I were on a motorcycle trip and had mechanical problems that put us way behind schedule. I called the motel from the Balfour Landing and requested a late check-in time. They met use at the front door at 11:30 P.M. to ckeck us in. Exceptional!

The little zen area in the middle was great. So relaxing.

Location was good even being right next to busy Hiway it was not noisy.

We were there in very warm weather, the AC would not cool the bedroom. It had a very low couch to sit on, very uncomfortable and hard for seniors to get up from. Needs some comfy chairs. Need to supply a better brand of coffee, The coffee was horrible. Could not get a King bed.

First it says its pet friendly, after booking it turns out its only DOG friendly. Luckily for me I had no need for pet friendly Second this place is dirty… and if not dirty, its dirty looking. Stains on the box spring covers, some staining on the bedding. The floor is warped and they have tried to nail it down but other sections are not so be careful with your bare feet as you could pinch or cut them….. oh and we are nonsmokers, this room smells like smoke and its musty and damp smelling Now lastly lets talk about the bugs… when I moved one pillow on the bed I found a spider, he was little and lets be honest spiders don’t bother me but if they do you.. well it would have been a terrifying surprise… then we find a dead moth on the floor.. lay down on the bed and look up to find a massive spider on the roof :/ so I kiddingly kept telling my self and others when asked about the accommodations “at least there is no bed bugs, no roaches and no rats” but the reason why there are so many insects is because the door is not properly sealed… when we left we found another dead spider So with all of this the price of the room was not a good value

Room was clean. We were with a group, so the outdoor common area was awesome!

The worst part was the smell outside. The garbage bins are located close to the road as you drive in. The terrible smell wafts all around, including the common area, and it is very unpleasant.

The couch in the room needs to be replaced and the sink was very slow to drain. There really no extra sockets unused or easy to access to charge your phone.

The room was covered in big huge spiders, we killed 10. It smelled quite moldy and musty and we struggled opening the windows to get some air in there. The beds were very uncomfortable as well.

The bathroom sub floor is rotten. Thus the planking is broken up. A foot and a half by 8 inch wall plaster is completely broken off above the heater in the bathroom. Also more plaster is broken off behind the toilet tank. There is mold on the ceiling above the tub and in the caulking around the tub. All baseboards and wood trim are badly chipped and the front door has a one inch gap under it. Pictures of the motel are very misleading. By definition this is not a hotel - it is a motel.

Location is excellent I will say that. Rooms are stinky and dirty ,gapping holes in between door and door jam with water damage/ mold , windows are locked by a piece of 2”x2” board , stench from Garbage bins is horrible and grease bin from restaurant is right beside lobby. Not recommended we packed up and left after first night . We were only given 2 towels and roll of toilet paper for our family. Dude needs to spend some cash on this place , photos online are not updated does not represent Motel Not Recommended!!

The unit needed a good clean up. There was dust and debris on the floor that could be swept up with a good vacuuming.

nice folks at front desk. Very disorganized, when shown email confirmation regarding rooms with single or rooms with two beds was not in their system, although email confirmation stated such.

Staff struggled communicating in English. When shown email confirmation of room reservation or online changes in regards with two queen beds reservations had not been changed from room with single bed. Staff accomidated and made it work. In the rooms Washroom chrome had been wiped, but urine stains on the floor and yellow around the toilet we're not clean. Mold around tub / shower was clear siliconed over ... again. The kitchenette area floor had not been cleaned mopped or vacuumed. Food debris from past clients was on the floor in corners and along base boards. The cupboards look like they've been supplied from a rummage sale. The air conditioning had a horrible musty smell. Upon inspection of the washable filters, absolutely plugged with a gross lint that was easily washable. sprayed them off in shower. Travelled with six rooms booked. All six rooms experience the same. There seems to be no pride of ownership at this facility. It's literally falling apart. if you have low expectations and just need to crash at a low budget for the area in high season go for it.

They need to do a complete renovation, it’s old, window tracts are grossly dirty, floors weren’t clean or swept. There’s no place to put hair dryer/curling iron in the bathroom to do your hair, they could have a shelf in there for that. Room lighting was very poor and lacking, couldn’t read a book in there it was so bad. Everything’s an add on to try make it upgraded but it failed. I would be embarrassed to even open the doors.

Was great experience as usual! Clean and affordable and located in a quiet place in Creston.

Had to pay at time of check in and discovered the room was unsanitary with black mold and stained linen. Smells bad and there is no real TLC from the owners…

Sheets were clean, staff at front desk smiled, restaurant was good.

Floor was dirty, a used washcloth was on the shower curtain. Cigarette butts all around the door entrance, bugs in the bathtub, cobwebs in the corners, mold on the bathtub caulking, caulking damaged, moisture in the coffee maker filter, manager was absent.

Easy to find. Discovered we had stayed there maybe 20 years prior.

I couldn't put a date on the facility but it has seen better days. Everything was very old. Mattresses were comfortable but beds were 6 inches higher than we like. Hard to sit on. Very small, low toilet. Weather was cool so we didn't use either the heater or A/C. At one time there was a restaurant that is not open any more. (sign was still up tho) Lack of a clock in the room and very few accesible receptacles. Just mostly well past it's prime.

I make a solo trip through BC each June by motorcycle, i always stay here, the staff are incredibly friendly, the location is perfect, and the room are just what a person needs at the end of the day. I cant recommend this place strong enough, I have recommended the magnuson to friends who also travel by motorcycle, and they also have made it their preference motel 5 stars everywhere Ill be back through in sept with my wife on our anniversary ride

The Vietnamese restaurant was convenient and had good food and pleasant staff. The hotel is right next to a supermarket and small shopping center if you need anything. Large room at good value.

Strong chemical smell in room. The microwave didn’t work correctly. The mini fridge froze my food. And, I was awoken at 4:30 in the morning by the person in the next room over. It seemed like we were in the same room together, because the sound carried.

The room charge did not include breakfast, as far as I am aware. There are 2 Asian restaurants in the main building, and I was told that I could receive a discount for any purchase.

I don't need a King Size bed, but, like many hotels and motels, this is what they provided. The location is a bit distant from downtown Creston.

general proximity to food was good and though I didn't try the restaurants, locals agree them to be good. Check in was easy and the desk staff were very nice.

Given it was a long weekend, there were not many alternatives in Creston and price was higher than typical. As a motel, one expects some noise and on this front, room was relatively quiet. However, the standard of housekeeping and general maintenance was sub-par...light bulbs out, door handle lock out of whack and hairy tub etc. The Wifi was spotty to non-existant.

The cup for the coffee and in the bathroom? The unit was rented for 2 people but these were provisioned for one. And definitely there were not enough electrical outlets - eveen for the items they supplied. The microwave was plugged in. The refrigerator was plugged in. There was no plug for the coffee maker. Any electronics (including my breathing apparatus) of ours reqyuredmoving furniture and still there weren't enough plugs available.

It was filthy and when I booked the room it said pets were welcome, including cats and when we arrived we were told cats were not allowed and we had to tell them that is not what it says online and I also msg’d to confirm and it was confirmed that we could bring our cats. They put us in a room where we could have the cats, which is probably why we were put into a really filthy room.

A comfy sitting chair in the empty corner of the room would have been nice. The front desk lady didn’t seem to know much about the town and couldn’t make any recommendations for us as far as what to do and places to eat (aside from the on site restaurant).

The staff are really friendly and helpful and even offered to help us park our truck and trailer. We accidentally put our shed keys in the key box and took the room key home. they are sending us our key by courier. Very thankful !!
