Periwinkle Room on second floor meant hauling luggage up and down the stairs.
Location and John wa helpful
The whole place seemed very run down
The host met us upon arrival and was very helpful checking us in, the Inn is as nice as it looks with only a 10 minute walk to the lovely town and all of its restaurants, pubs and shops. The breakfast location across the road at the Pillar and Post was included in the price and was amazing! As a visitor from the UK this is how we would think small town Canada would look like -definitely not disappointed.
WeatherPine Inn proved to be the ideal spot to use as my home base during my trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The property is a convenient walking distance to the historic heart of the town, while still offering a feeling of retreat at night. Its proximity to Pillar and Post is such a benefit, too, as I loved walking across the street for a fabulous breakfast buffet every morning!
Personally, I was not bothered by the noise level that is inherent to an old house-- it's to be expected. However, for those who are light sleepers and/or cannot wear earplugs, the walls and windows are definitely not soundproof.
My experience was a total disaster. Booking.com and WeatherPine Inn ripped me off. In March, 2026, six months ago, I put in a request for Bed & Breakfast lodging at WeatherPine for one person, NOT 2 people ( Pin 4126 / #5999535541 ). Booking.com sent me an E-mail saying my booking was confirmed. Then 3 hours later, with no explanation, I received another E-mail saying my confirmation was revoked. I tried to book again ( Pin 3694 / #6630517593 ). But, for the second time, exactly as on the 1st occasion, I was refused a confirmation. I tried to telephone both parties to find out what was going on. But on both websites, phone numbers weren't available, and a location from which to send an E-mail was practically non existent, impossible to find. In any case I did eventually manage to send an E-mail, but to no purpose because my inquiry was never answered. Then, getting lucky, I somehow found a phone number connected to the front desk at WeatherPine. I asked the clerk to look up the WeathPine files to see if any record of my two applications had been received. A minute later, I was told that no record existed. Consequently, having now no confirmed reservation at WeatherPine, and being unable to successfully communicate with anyone at either place either by phone or E-mail, I booked myself at another Bed & Breakfast location, where 6 months later, Sept. 11, 2026, I spent time at Niagara-On-The-Lake. During the 6 months between March and September, neither Booking.com nor WeatherPine ever once got in touch with me. Then suddenly, 3 days before my vacation date, WeatherPine contacted me saying I now had a reservation, "and you better attend or you'll be penalized the booking price for your non appearance." So, here I was, double-booked in 2 places, and facing a penalty in excess of $250.00. So tell me, what do I do? Fight, or pay up?
I didn't like anything at Booking.com or WeatherPine Inn. I especially dislike the nasty threats, and "pay up or else," contrivances of both of these supposed businesses. I also spoke to several people at other Bed & Breakfast Inns, and discovered that they too are familiar with all the shenanigans going on with Booking.com. I MAY VERY WELL GET IN TOUCH WITH THE PROVINCIAL AUTHORITIES WHO GOVERN THE BEHAVIOR OF PEOPLE CONNECTED TO THE BED & BREAKFAST VACATION INDUSTRY !!!!!
Booked a king room and received a queen. Breakfast was at a different location not at the property. Some pics on the website show the Pillar and Post not Weatherpine. Deceptive! Outdated decor, overgrown gardens. Would never stay again
Clean. Well appointed. Friendly owner / manager. Breakfasts at nearby restaurant very good and included .
Long walk to shopping area.
Good location, nice breakfast across the street at Pillar and Post. Nice porch also. Nice staff, good communication about parking.
Bathroom needs updating. Tape was peeling from the sink counter. Shower was out of body wash.
I liked the big porch
A little old
Location great, good size room and very comfortable bed, nice quiet location, good coffee and host provide soft drinks and water. The host was very welcoming.
Nothing to dislike
Very nice and quiet location with short walk to main area.
Location. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Complimentary coffee, water and pop. Free parking.
No breakfast on site. Outside gardens and pathway totally neglected. Made the place look rundown and maybe that the owner didn’t care about the place.
Great location and quirky building
Check in was slightly tricky and took forever to work out key codes system
Wakability to events. Cleanliness! Hot showers.
Price could always be better... we would have booked more nights.
All was great
Everything
Good location, nice and quiet but a walkable distance to the restaurants and pubs nearby. Room was comfortable and well appointed.
Good location. Liked outside access to the room. Nice breakfast.
Property looking a little tired. I.e. gardens getting weedy.
Bellissima zona, vicino alle cascate ma molto tranquilla, parcheggio a disposizione e colazione molto buona. Senza auto mi sembra complicato
Niente da ridire, abbiamo anche avuto un problema velocemente risolto.
Relatively close to the downtown area, about a 15min walk. Would have been less than that but a road closure made it longer. Of course that kind of thing is not in anyone’s control
The mattress was very uncomfortable. It needs replacing. We were told to be gentle with the blinds as they were broken. Why not just fix them? One fell off its holder as soon as we touched it and would not go back on for us
Great location to enjoy walking to main avenues. Great breakfast.
Tot.
It was a pretty close walk into town and some of the winery’s. There was parking available which was nice as well!
It was very clear if we were allowed anywhere in the in but our room and the porch.
Porch, cozy, not needing a key
Fridge didn't work, cold shower
The ambience
La proximité, et c’était propre, lit confortable
Chambre un peut petite
John was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Great value for being so close to town. Comfortable large bed and a great sleep!

The host was super friendly and helpful. Location exceptional
Good location.
Dark, cramped room.
LOVED the porch! Our room was clean and well appointed. Really enjoyed our stay here and the breakfast next door.
Just be aware if have mobility issues you do have stairs to contend with but it was so worth lugging our luggage upstairs to sit on the porch and enjoy the evening.
The location was great, easy walk to town and good parking. The room was clean and the breakfast across the road at Pillar and Post was good.
I think when you walk in to a property and they still have Christmas decorations up in July, and the outside is looking pretty tied, you know the place is not at its best. The whole place is looked tied and the decor is very dated.
the inn had a lot of atmosphere, both in loation and set up of room
Th outside was not as well kept up as the inside, which was exactly what one expected.
Convenient location and breakfast vouchers for the Pillar and Post buffet. Room was relatively clean though, except for the ceiling fan, though did find large ant on the bed.
Bed was not a queen as advertised. It was only a full-size bed. Mattress was small and very hard. Made for a difficult and painful night. Some of the Furniture in the room is not in good condition. There is no adjustable room AC. There is only central air for the entire facility and you have to text the owner to change the setting. The facility is pretty rundown on the exterior and the handrails on the stairs to the second floor are partially rotted and loose. Very poor maintenance of the vegetation around the Inn as well. The manager was very nice but I would never go back.
Lovely and quaint hotel - just like we imagined it should be
Eigene Veranda vor dem Zimmer.
Excellent location
Leuk dat de gastheer uitleg gaf over de bezienswaardigheden. Mooi verzorgde uitstraling van het hele gebouw.
Niets
The location was perfect!! The host John was great and was able to help us out when the TV remote was missing from our room. Easy to get in touch with if you needed anything.
Wished there was somewhere to get ice for drinks onsite.
John, the owner, was a nice man who gave us helpful information.
The feeling of comfort and peacefulness.
The bed was a bit saggy
great
It was quiet, well equipped and very quaint
I had to climb stairs
Die Lage
The location to the main tourist street was only a 15 min walk. The marathon race was only 400 meters away. Beautiful tree lined streets. The steam shower was a pleasant surprise. The front porch was a wonderful place to relax. The breakfast, if you purchased it was served at the Pillar and Post resort across the street.
There is no ramp to help you get your luggage up the stairs.
Breakfast voucher for Pillar and Post was good.
The room was cold - needed extra heater for the room also extra blanket for bed.. The windows had been wide open so room was cool, they could haae been shut.
Lovely place
Everything is within walking distance. The inn was very charming and room was clean and comfortable. Love the chairs on the porch!

Great last minute booking
It was difficult connecting with owner / staff to pay. He wasn’t available when we were and vice versa
Parking the car wasn’t easy
Great location only ten minutes walk to town beautiful inn very clean amazing place
No complaints everything is wonderful
Beautiful property and great location
Nice location and atmosphere
Ihana, idyllinen paikka. Aamiainen oli erinomainen!
Quirky room with plenty of character . Very clean and comfortable. 10 minute walk to Main Street along quiet residential street . Breakfast at the Pillar and Post was amazing and it’s literally across the road and we were welcomed in the same as other guests. Would stay here again. Niagara on the Lake has a lot of lovely restaurants and is so much nicer than Niagara Falls
-
Very pretty building, lovely area outside on the porch was a fan and light in nice location . Very nice breakfast next door at the Pillar and Post.
Toilet needed a long time to refil and be used again. Although nice of staff to leave water bottles in the fridge one was half empty and previously used. Only one black tea bag the rest were green tea and no decaf coffee. But overall nice and will likely use again.
Great location
Dated facilities. TV smaller than my computer monitor. No onsite manager. Funky/Fabreeze type smell in linens.
We liked the location, although not as close to "town" as expected. It was quiet.
The building is rundown. Christmas decorations were still up in May. The bathroom is in need of a makeover. The room was dark. The bed was comfortable, but the dust ruffle almost killed me because my feet got caught in it many times.
I would definitely stay at Weather Pine Inn again but simple things could be improved: - no one was there when we checked in and we had to wait for person to arrive from offsite - the check-in gal was uninformed and had to call owner even though I had email stating breakfast was included. After a long discussion she finally realized it was printed on her paperwork 😶 - again, while check-in gal was pleasant she told us the Pillar and Post didn’t have a bar restaurant and only had an outdoor wine bar in the garden across the street. The garden is a great place to hang but no food. Luckily we looked at Pillar and Post’s website and they have 2 restaurants and a bar. Being across the street from the hotel is a HUGE perk!!! The owner needs to give his employees their pamphlet, it’s ridiculous she lived there and didn’t even know. - the breakfast at Pillar and Post was fabulous 🤗 - my only big complaint was drain in bathtub didn’t work and backed up. We stayed in the Forest Room and I’m trying to contact management so they can fix. Last, coffee machine was not clean and unplugged (I had to get on hands and knees to reach under table).
See above. Sorry 😕
Location
In need of a face lift.
Great location, easy walk into town. Very clean and comfortable, quirky property with friendly and accommodating staff. Loved it
Nothing
A good location close to downtown. Unique, large, and nice-looking building. Friendly staff accommodated adding kids to our one night stay at the last minute.
Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in there was a terrible smell in our room (Garden Room) that did not go away and made us feel nauseous, even with open windows and after several hours. Not sure what the source was, but it was definitely interior not outside (musty carpet or rodent in wall?). We had to leave. It's lovely building so hopefully something they can address!
Beautiful property & very well located. Parking available onsite …
Steps outside to rooms upstairs a little slippery … otherwise fabulous!
very charming
The property was clean and comfortable and the outside was decorated nicely for Christmas.
The only issue we had was our room was a little warm for our liking and the bed was on the firmer side. But overall extremely happy with our stay! Great host:)
Friendly staff good location
Room very dark with dated furniture.
Location and on-site parking was excellent. The room was comfy and clean. The breakfast was served in the Pillar & Post during our stay - it was very good.
The room upstairs slept all night with some form of extractor fan on and this could be heard quite loudly during the night in our room. Our bedroom could have done with a bedside table on each side of the bed - the bed was very high, so putting a glass of water on the floor was not really an option.
I liked that the B&B was across the road from the Pillar & Post, which is where our dinner reservation was. I liked that the building had a wraparound porch on each level with comfortable chairs. The room was clean but small. A small fridge was in the room with 2 cans of pop and 2 bottles of water in it so that was nice.
I really hated that they were advertised as a Bed & Breakfast but they didn't serve breakfast! If I had known they didn't serve breakfast, I wouldn't have booked there. What's the point of a Bed & Breakfast without breakfast? Our room was on the second floor, up a very steep set of stairs. Fortunately, the owner carried our bags up for us but we ended up carrying them back down, which was somewhat difficult. The owner had said he would come back to help if we just let him know. The pillows were flat and I woke up with a backache.
Breakfast was not included. We had to pay an extra 20 per person to go across the street. The place was clean.
Staff was not on site when we arrived. Nobody answered the phone or door for 15 minutes. Would have liked more complementary items. Got one pop and one water each. Coffee with expired cream.
We ate breakfast at a local diner, opting out of the WeatherPine’s breakfast.
There was nothing we didn’t like about this Inn.
We skipped the breakfast. The location was great for dining and shopping in the Queen Street area. John, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well-furnished, and had a mini-fridge with two waters ad two sodas for us. Would recommend!
Did not have breakfast
I booked a ground floor room for my elderly parents. They were very comfortable and well taken care of
Excellent breakfast.

NOTL can be a very expensive town to visit, and the surrounding hotels, while lovely, are also quite pricey, especially during peak season. Weatherpine is a more financially reasonable alternative, which allows you to visit and enjoy the town without having to bust your budget.
Location. Quiet. Very comfortable room.
The property was nice as seen in pics
Unfortunately it was so slippery, no walk ways were shoveled minimal salt was put down. Having to go up steep stairs to a room with no access to the house would have been nice for the steps to be cleaned off. A B&B is usually more then a hotel stay. Don’t be fooled into thinking you will have access to more then a room. We do B&B’s yearly where you have a nice common area, library or fire place, a home cooked breakfast as well. Here your sent across the street to a restaurant, definitely not your topical B&B. Maybe the add should be changed to a motel rather then B&B
Rooms comfy and large. We were upgraded as a larger room was available. Breakfast vouchers for Pillar & Post was much appreciated.
No complaints.
It was beautiful, it was like going back 50 yrs really tastefully done.
Getting the luggage up to the top floor. But hey it was an old building and boy was it worth it.
Very quaint and comfy. Friendly greeting.
The room had a smell like a stale cigarette smell or like a cigar shop.
Super cute Inn, the place was lovely.
If you want to sleep on your vacation this is not the place for you! The walls are paper thin. We could hear the people above our room snoring in the night. It was not a good place to rest, but if that’s not the point of your trip then no worries. Also the WIFI didn’t work and it was a hot box, we had no control over the heat and basically walked around naked because we were sweating.
Lovely building, room and location was a short walk to the main street. Friendly and helpful staff made it so easy. Enjoyed our stay!
We appreciated our friendly and helpful host John. The accommodation was cute, nicely furnished and very comfortable. the location was very convenient and we could easyly explore the village by foot.
The location was relatively close to town
When I made the reservation I didn't realize I was booking a room only. We entered the room off the upstairs balcony. When investigating the room we opened the door that lead to the rest of the inn, from our room, and were immediately told we were not allowed in that area and to close the door. No breakfast.
The location.
The facility was very outdated and rustic.
Everything was great! No complaints!
L’allure de l’établissement.
Le manque d’un petit espace d’accueil et de lobby. Le langues de salle à manger sur place
