The underbed lockers are huge, close the path between beds. No option to put in or get smth out without "notifying" the whole room. Would be nice to have some small shelfs next to each bed - to put sunglasses, a tooth brush, or some small items and easy to reach it. Upper beds has a net pocket and sockets far away from ladder. Not enough hooks for clothes and towels. The room is shaking with every step.

Our private room was in a different location which was ok but the single twin beds were so small I felt like I was going to fall out.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Location is absolutely fantastic (both for transportation and tourist spots). Staff very friendly and helpful. Cute interior and clean environment. Air-cond is an absolute bonus in the summer heat. I like that each bunk has their own lamp and usb socket.
My bed was in the corner, hence could barely connect to the wifi. Toilet smells a bit weird, though it's visibly well cleaned and probably not something easily fixed (maybe the pipes).

За время своего проживания я неоднократно сталкивалась с неприятными ситуациями, начиная от того, что меня переселили из одного номера в другой, потому что я моем номере не открывался шкафчик для багажа и персонал НЕ предпринял никаких попыток мне с ним в номере помочь, вместо этого заселил меня в номер хуже по качеству, но с открывающимся шкафчиком. Затем мои вещи трогали другие постояльцы-девушки, сбросили с моей кровати в новом номере и вытащили мои чемоданы, поставив свои. Когда я рассказала об этом на ресепшн, девушка лишь грустно вздохнула. Позже она дала мне замок, чтобы я могла закрывать свой шкаф и мои вещи не трогали, но лучше бы она дала мне замок заранее, чтобы такой ситуации вообще не было. Мои соседки в первую ночь (8 местный женский номер) - 7 девушек встали на следующий день в 5 утра и 2 часа собирались, не дав мне нормально поспать. Тут нет вины хостела, это больше про минусы жизни в таких условиях. Последняя грустная ситуация в данном хостеле: я столкнулась с проблемой оплаты автобуса по маршруту из Порту в Лиссабон и просила персонал помочь мне приобрести билет, чтобы потом отдать им сумму наличными. По итогу сотрудники по очереди перекидывали меня один к другому, билет мне помогла купить девушка из другого номера.

There was an intense and unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom that lasted for the entire stay. The room had a lot of dust. And we saw a big cockroach in the lobby.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026A limpeza, cordialidade e profissionalismo dos colaboradores são excelentes. Já conhecia a unidade Cats de San Sebastian, e, mais uma vez, tive uma boa experiência. Desta vez, levei comigo minha irmã que também apreciou bastante.
A localização próxima da Estação São Bento, da Praça dos Aliados e Sé do Porto é espetacular, entretanto, a vizinhança do hostel é um tanto atípica, como homens a beber nas calçadas/passeios até tarde, e a espalhar lixo pela rua. Da janela eu via cenas desagradáveis.

Si bien fui en una época d mucho calor, el aire acondicionado de la habitación no andaba y los ventiladores chiquitos que habia en las camas no ayudaban mucho. El de mi cama tiraba el aire p cualq lado y no pude acomodarlo.

Um agradecimento especial a Cristina, pois esqueci duas bobagens la, mas que me ajudam na viagem, mandei msg 2 dias depois que ja tinha feito check-out e minhas coisas la estavam, passei e resgatei meus pertences. Obrigada ❤️ espero nao ter errado o nome😊
Pra achar um defeito...Bom a cortina do banheiro grande do quarto feminino poderia ser mais comprida pra nao molhar muito o resto do banheiro. Me esforcei!

The main building where check-in takes place has slightly older beds—they’re metal frames, and my bed base was a bit sunken. I weigh around 50 kg, but it still made some noise when I turned or moved. The room was quite dim, and even with the lights on, it didn’t improve much. It also seems like there’s a rooftop party about once a week, which can get very loud, so it’s something to be prepared for.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer im Nebengebäude. Das Zimmer war leider ziemlich abgewohnt. Besonders ärgerlich: Es gab kein Toilettenpapier auf dem Zimmer. Obwohl wir direkt nach dem Check-in an der Rezeption bescheid gesagt haben, wurde leider keins gebracht.

Dormi duas noites com os sensores da área do banheiro sem funcionar. As luzes - todas elas - acendiam e apagavam sem parar. Um homem foi olhar e não resolveu. Se as camas tivessem cortinas, ajudava bastante, além de aumentar nossa privacidade.

同室の宿泊者がほぼ全員深夜まで起きていてずっと話しているので、ゆっくり眠ることができませんでした。 挙句の果てには私が寝ていると思って悪口だったり私の有る事無い事話始めるので、今までホステルを利用した中でも最悪の宿泊体験でした。 睡眠より人と会話し続けたい人にはいい体験になるかもしれませんね。

No funcionaba la cocina, ni microondas, ni pava eléctrica, para lavar no había. Caro en relación a los servicios. Dos noches 70 E persona ( 10 E más te pagas un hotel)
Desayuno no incluido te cobran extra, no funcionaba ni el ascensor, ni el aire acondicionado, nadie contro la a nada en el edificio de al lado. Based on reviews I was expecting this to be a much more social/party hostel than it was. Didn’t have a great atmosphere and it was challenging to meet people. Also lacked curtains on the beds.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Great location, comfy beds. When I first checked in the room I was allocated did not have working air conditioning. Given there was a heatwave I asked staff to switch rooms in which they did and put me in another room where the aircon worked great, this was really appreciated.
The bathrooms in the room smell a lot, a mould/damp smell which is off putting. Other than that it was great.

Очень тесные комнаты, 8 человек и все как будто друг на друге сидят. Нет полотенец, они за доплату. Нет замков на ящики, тоже за доп плату. Везде плати. Специально выбрала этот хостел из-за ящиков с замком, а Оказалось что они без замка и пришлось докупить за 5 евро. Очень неприятное щипачество

The room wasn't really clean. We found a burned cigarette in the window and the walls next to the beds were dirty. Also the room wasn't ready at check in time and we had to wait 30 minutes.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026The social aspect of cats is amazing, the facility’s allow you to socialise with everyone, the bar and rooftop was amazing and the bar was quite cheap, they had loads of social things like pub crawls and group walks, this then allows you to interact with others in the hostel or staying in nearby hostels.
nothing was wrong with the property the location and rooms was fab, the shared bathrooms were great having 2 showers and 2 bathrooms and 2 sinks so there was plenty of room for you and your roommates.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Отличное расположение, рядом самый центр города, много кафе и магазинов рядом. Понравилось, что быстро поменяли кровать с верхней на нижнюю. К работе персонала никаких нареканий. В первый день был концерт трибьют группы, было здорово.
Хостел - это хостел и этим всё сказано. В комнате было 7 человек и всё с разным временем приезда и заезда. Кто-то пытается заснуть, кто-то спешно собирает вещи и выезжает. Поэтому если цель сэкономить деньги - хороший вариант, если хотите тишины и выспаться, то ищете другие варианты. Большой минус - хоть пару стульев в комнате поставьте. Тянуть этот тяжёлый деревянный ящик для вещей, который расположен под кроватями, - это непросто, громко и дико некомфортно. Тем более комната только для женщин. И то же самое можно организовать на балконе - хоть стол и пару стульев.

Didn’t like the extension although it was newly furnished. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all and was too height I slept from the leader and hurt my ribs badly. The light sensors aren’t working properly. Exit sign in the room is centered to the eye of the one sleeping. Absence of curtains. (A room mate sleeps naked and it is uncomfortable to have to see a naked person).

If you love yourself, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I don’t know what the situation is like in the main building of this property, but in the annex building where my friend and I stayed — it was a nightmare! The rooms are far too small to cram 10 beds into them. Every time the door opens, it bangs into the beds behind it. There are also two beds placed directly opposite the bathroom, barely half a meter away, so you get to keep track of everyone’s bowel movements and urination habits. The beds don’t have curtains, so you’re woken up every time someone turns on a light, a lamp, or by the neon green glow of the “Exit” sign. The air conditioner was so loud it felt like a hurricane was raging inside the room. The worst part was a drunk guy who barged into the room in the early morning hours, vomited all he could, and filled the place with horrible smells. After he was done throwing up, he even smuggled a girl into his bed and shamelessly had sex with her. They were panting right above my head while trying — unsuccessfully — to be quiet... A disgusting experience that I want to forget.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026molto pulito e molto belle le stanze, ottimi gli spazi condivisi e la posizione totalmente accanto alla Cattedrale e alla stazione di Sao Bento. C'è anche l'aria condizionata nelle stanze e una bellissima terrazza.
Un pò caro per essere un ostello ma la posizione e la pulizia lo giustificano

Estava muito quente no período em que estive lá. O ar-condicionado do quarto feminino não estava funcionando, então ficou bem desconfortável, principalmente porque estava cheio em alguns dias. Nos dois últimos dias, tivemos que abrir a porta da varanda para o quarto ficar melhor arejado e dormimos com as portas da varanda aberta para aliviar o calor.
