Loved the friendly owner who warmly greeted us and showed us to our room. The veiw from the room was spectacular

Host was welcoming and friendly. Took the time to show us to our chalet and showed us our amenities etc. Wonderful views and lovely and quiet. Great place to relax. Beds comfy,plenty of hot water. Fabulous place.

We love the island vibe at Grafton Cottages 🥰. Each cottage has its own distinct character and adds personal touches like milk and cookies in the fridge. The beds are good quality and each suite contains all the amenities you need. Each cottage has massive windows and a deck with spectacular view! We have stayed here several times and love the tranquility.

The only thing I would like to change is maybe a bit of space in the bathroom for toiletries. And bigger towels?

Great views over the town and bay. Cosy, well set up room studio cabin in a quiet location. Our host Alby was helpful and friendly.

Note that the bathroom in the cottage we booked, Rose Cottage, is only separated from the living/bedroom area by a partition wall, so there is no acoustic privacy.

Fab location! Views from all angles of the room. The garden is Stunning! Well appointed, great amenities,beautifully decorated and comfy bed. The host we met Alby was very friendly and generally a down to earth guy with a fun sense of humour. Highly recommend and we will return 😊

Pool was not much clean specially hot pool

Being honest, it was not what we expected based on the photos on Booking.com. Overall, the property and our cottage were clean, but it still needs more attention to detail.

The views were wonderful. The owners just the nicest people you could meet. A comfortable stay in a nice location.

The view was awesome, big view point, location was high, lots of steps to get to the room. The room was a bit small, my partner hit head on a low bearing beam beside the bed in the middle of the night so he was not very impressed!

Wonderful host, beautiful garden and view of Thames and water. Stayed here during the vaianu cyclone and felt so at home. Loved the welcome chocolate cookies with milk ❤️

Der Ausblick ist sehr gut. Der Gastgeber ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es wurden jeden Tag die Handtücher gewechselt und der Müll geleert.

Das Schlafzimmer direkt unter dem Dach war selbst jetzt im Herbst sehr warm und der Ventilator nur eine Notlösung. Für Selbstversorger wie uns war die superkleine Küchennische nicht geeignet, auch für die Zubereitung vom Frühstück war es sehr umständlich. Die Bilder im Booking hier sind laut Zeitstempel von 2014. Genauso ist es auch jetzt noch, nur eben älter und vor allem im Bad inzwischen renovierungsbedürftig.

Das Frühstück wurde kurzfristig dazugebucht und war sehr vielseitig und schmeckte gut. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer über die gesamte Bucht von Thames inklusive Sonnenuntergang war fantastisch.

The view was amazing and the sunsets were glorious. We had a relaxing time, it was quiet, and the chalet had everything we needed.

Grafton Cottage and Chalets was a good place to stay in Thames. The room was clean and comfortable and the host, Albie, was very friendly and helpful. There was a pool and a spa on site and the view was lovely. The location was a short drive from the downtown area and it was beautiful and quiet.

Amazing friendly Staff! We came really late after issues with our car rental. When we got there he provided some food for our daughters that was really hungry! We did not realize that everything closed very early. View amazing and great beds!

The view from the chalets over the water were stunning.

There are several rickety stairs to negotiate to get to the chalet, which meant getting our baggage in was a bit of a challenge.

It is a very cozy accommodation with excellent (sunset) views, private balcony and a lovely garden. Clean, good shower, good bed, air-con, welcome cookie, luxury toiletries, friendly staff, closely located to Pinnacles Hike.

Virtually nothing, as this was one of our best stays in NZ. If I should name only one thing it would be the size of the room… 15 m2 is indeed small of you carry some luggage.

Excellent view from the cottages and the owner was lovely. Lots of flowers and fruit trees on the property.

Alby very kindly helped carry some of our heavier bags up to our chalet. They happily accommodated our small dog for an extra $25. Amazing views, especially at sunset. Quiet neighbourhood. Good walks around, although steep. Short drive down the hill and along to Thames township.

The number of stairs to climb from the sole carpark at the bottom of the hillside to top chalet proved a challenge when travelling with heavy/multiple bags. Expected privacy in the top chalet, as travelling with a dog and didn't want to disturb neighbours and vice versa, but was surprised to see there was another chalet attached to ours, meaning the occupants walked past our door and had a balcony above the bottom room of our chalet. Furnishings were a bit tired. Also, no baby safety gates provided to block off balcony.

Secluded, peaceful setting with lovely gardens. Well designed rooms inside. Really good size and v well equipped kitchen area. Great corner windows with breathtaking sea views and a fab sunset. Nice to be able to sit outside.

The property was let down by the run down state of the decking and the pool / hot tub

Amazing views, good facilities, and the hosts accommodated our needs with a cot for our baby.

The chalets, the walkways outside the chalets, and some pieces of furniture seemed a bit tired and the pool didn't look very inviting.

It's quite a distance from the city centre and very rustic.

The dining table of our cottage has a superb view of west of central Thames . Easy drive to car park 🅿️ for visitors centre and Pinnacles Walk .

Host was very kind and polite. Room was ready early, it was in convenient location and was clean. The entire property was so charming! The views were stunning even with the torrential rains. Loved the openness and the coziness! Wish we could have stayed longer! The toiletries with Manuka honey smelled wonderful too.

Quirky and cute.

De locatie en het uitzicht was prachtig. Een paradijselijk rustige omgeving. De chalet is zo gebouwd dat je zowel bij koud als warm weer van de omgeving kan genieten. Er was ook lekker (weliswaar extra betalend) drinken voorzien in de ijskast.

Well set out. Happy tropical feel about it.Clean, tidy environment.It was different to other accommodations as it had an island ambiance.

It was a little bit hard to find in the dark.

Cottage was clean, modern and comfortable. Host Alby was friendly and helpful. Great thanks for returning the hair straightener we left behind!

View fantastic. Our host Albey was excellent. Layout and acess to room was unique and enjoyable but it may prove challenging to someone with physical limitations.

We loved every aspect of our stay in Grafton cottage, the hospitality the place and location, the views, the bed were extremely comfortable, all the facilities you can hope for.

Amazing views over the town and landscape, best enjoyed in the sunshine on the balcony. Alby was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. Well equipped kitchenette.

Alby was a fantastic host and the room was amazing. Fabulous views from the balcony and room. The room was very spacious and in great condition with everything there that we needed. I even used the pool which had a great setting for outdoor eating.

Great welcome by the host who explained all the facilities of the property, nothing was too much bother. Room was perfect for me, clean, quiet, everything I needed and the view was outstanding.

The location was perfect, the cottage was very comfortable and warm, my children loved it, and despite the rain, they still enjoyed playing in the pool

Chalet en bois mal insonorisé, on entend les voix et le bruit du chalet voisin. Dommage que le chalet manque d’entretien (gouttières non nettoyées, baies vitrées avec traces de doigts, deck de la terrasse à entretenir)

Our teenage girls loved these cute little chalets. They are rustic and surrounded with native bush and have a lovely view. Saw tuis and woke up to birdsong. We all enjoyed a cozy escape.

We hadden een hele ruime studio met een groot bed. Het uitzicht was prachtig! Alles was goed onderhouden. We konden gebruik maken van het zwembad en hottub. Alby was erg vriendelijk! Ook heel fijn dat elke dag de handdoeken verschoond werden en dat de afwas werd gedaan! Dat hadden we niet verwacht.

De oprit was erg steil, dit zijn wij als Nederlanders niet gewend dus dit was wel spannend.
