The staff is always professional; this is my go-to hotel w2hen I come to Davao.

This is a good budget hotel for those staying just a night or two in Davao. Bed and pillows are comfy, the room is dark at night thanks to good curtains and pretty clean. It's basic, so nothing fancy here. There is a hot water carafe, cable TV and good Wifi. They have a small parking lot, but it's tight. The area around the hotel has a Robinsons ( 1 min. walk) a good pizzeria, 7-11, etc. The location is very good. I'll stay here again.

Modern and clean. Nice hotel to recover from airline flight to Davao. We came in at 3am and check in was quick. Thank you.

Affordable. Just like any Red Planet hotels this is only meant for a sleep and shower. If you are staying in your room most of the time, then this is not the hotel for you.

Place is very clean. The staff can be a little more friendlier. But the bell boy / security guard was very accommodating.

Hot water and aircon is cold. But need to put bottle water in room.

The staff were polite abd professional.

Room is quite small considering it can sleep to 4 but I think it's just reasonable and just proportionate to their rate.

It was a clean and quiet room with a more US style shower in the bathroom.

This hotel should not even passed sanitation. It day room was so stinky we were moved to another room but the toilet starts to leak then it smells like sewage, moved again to another room then the brownout, no back up generator had to go up by steps till the 7th floors. We had a very bad experience with this hotel. Still waiting for the refund they promised, will not recommend this hotel👎

Pleasant stay but i wish there are enough parking space

The staff were courteous, friendly, and very polite. There’s however, an issue with maintenance and cleanliness. The grout between the tiles on the floor and the shower walls look dirty and moldy especially the soap holder inside the shower. At first glance your first comment will be “ewe” instead of nice or wow! The simple remedy would be to clean the grout with toothbrush and bleach! It’s very simple yet effective.

Overall thumbs up 3/5. Except for, the receptionist told me that the last night I didn’t use would be refundable, and still hasn’t refunded me. Since I had to check out 1 day early. You should do what you tell your customer.

Not sure what was needed to get cleaner to clean room . The new cleaner was better then last time stay month prior.

I frequently go on business trips. I get budget friendly hotels if i need to stay for just a while. The location is near Sm Lanang making it accessible to dining and shopping. Checking in was also fast as i came in late at night. However everything was downhill from there. The most important for me is a good nights sleep as im leaving early for meetings the next day, as i was getting ready to sleep the aircon suddenly stopped. I tried to do reset by removing the keycard. I did this for at least 3 times because i thought it was just setting problem. I also felt that the room had a very damp and mouldy feeling. Eventually i gave up and notices that there was no phone i can call the front desk. So i got out of my room and went downstairs to complain. At the same time I asked to buy water, they had none. When i went back up, they told me there was no maintenance and i had to transfer rooms. So i packed up near midnight and trasferred. Good thing one of the front desk just gave me a bottle of drinking water for their coming event. A good consolation. But Red Planet never again.

There’s no complimentary water or coffee inside the room. I guess the hotel does not want to attract good paying customers. A 3 in 1 coffee pack cost less that 100 pesos wholesale but will be a good convenient offering to patrons… just a thought.

Aircon barely worked. Not a nice room at all. Definitely spend a little more and go somewhere else.

The rooms are awefull and due to a big event we were shoved on the 5th floor that is being renovated in two very small rooms. They told me that that’s all they had when I had booked this hotel weeks in advance from Canada. Disappointed with the staff (except security) who did not show a sign of care. My family and I will not be back to this hotel anymore.

I love that the shopping mall is really nearby.

The staff were very good. For an older person the entry door handles are very hard to open, and there isn’t enough plugs to charge devices.

This place is unsafe to stay cracked on the floor and walls are visible. Very noisy construction inside and outside of the building.

We had trouble opening our door-it was simple but unusual. just push Elevator did not work Wifi password did not work Phone did not work We were walking down the long hall to stairs then to front desk

No cabinets in room

I stayed for 6 days. The good - The staff was awesome! Very friendly, were there to answer questions and to advise me on local events. Everyone spoke english well. The hotel and the room were clean. The not so good - The rooms are fairly small. Like they are really just for sleeping. If you want to do anything besides shower and sleep.. you're going to find it challenging. A few days I had to do remote work from the room and it wasnt very suitable. There is no table or chairs .. just the bed. the only other thing...I saw someone else mentioned this .. the shower tiles were squishy like they had standing water under them...and no shower door so the water from the shower goes all over the bathroom floor. Oh and the honking from the traffic .. wait at 3 am there was no traffic...but still the honking.

Small rooms, not A/C controls, no door to shower so water gets everywhere. Price does not match what you get elsewhere.

It was very convenient to mall and shopping venues

They gave us a card to use the elevator and room only one card shut off everything in the room my wife and i had to leave together and return together otherwise no ac or lights also no eating in the room then the earthquake and we were stuck on the 8th floor i wont go back

The room is a typical size for a budget hotel in Europe or the US and for the price and location near a mall, convience store, and a pizza place. Its great! The room also had a good tv that worked well which i haven't seen often in the Philippines. Definitely recommended as a place to go if you want to stay in Davao and sleep in a clean and convenient place.

rooms is like you are in the boarding house and toilets are disgusting with yellowish and stains. limited parking space and they prioritize it for employees not for clients. breakfast is not a buffet just a plate with 1 cup of rice and 1 viand. and its in a cafe next to it that maybe they partner with and charge for extra rice and milk in your coffee coz they only give free sugar and cream. not a place to recommend.

This property was very nice if your on a budget, close to fast food restaurants and SM Mall was great which is less then 5 minutes down the street

The room was adequate for a solo traveler like me. The bathroom does need work. The tiles in my shower releases water when stepped on. That means there's stagnant water underneath from taking a shower the day/night before.

The red planet in Davao is a good hotel for the price. Decent mattress and it's clean. The soap dispensers are broken which I experienced in many different red planet hotels. Seem to be too hard to hotel customers to treat those in a correct manner. Not much dining options around there but the next SM is only a few minutes away from.the hotel by taxi.

I've been coming to the Red Planet since 2019. It is a great place to stay for a few days.

I stayed at Red Planet two weeks earlier when I landed in Davao after a long trip from Saskatchewan, Canada. I was impressed by the over-all condition of the property, the cleanliness, the efficiency of the staff and the availability of hot water. This particular trip is the first leg of my return trip to Canada and again I am impressed with Red Planet. Because of my positive experience in Davao I booked the Red Planet for my overnight stay at Cebu.

I like the room, bathroom are clean

No towels,went down,they were delayed from laundry. Second time in shower,then i found there was no soap in the damaged dispenser. Also no mat to avoid water on floor outside bathroom. A bit to much too organize,though quickly fixed. Impression: overprized

Check in and check out by the front desk is very efficient. Cold aircon. Good pressure and warm water. Free extra pillows. The bed is annoyingly noisy. It makes a sound even on a little movement. Parking is limited. Room facing the road is quite noisy. You can hear the vehicles and even singing in videoke.
