Bad service wanted to cancel a night and a room they said call booking .Com and we will, go back to reception and they declined, when they said they would, woukd never stay again

I love how soundproof the rooms are. I have stayed here a couple of times now and I loved it every time. Very easy to find, staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy. But mostly the quiet is my favourite thing about staying here!

Bed was a little hard

Regarding the actual room that we did end up with; it met general expectations regarding facilities and general comfort. It was great to be able to bring the dogs inside and the location always makes this motel very attractive to stay at.

After staying at this motel for three consecutive years, I was disappointed on this visit, not because of the room quality or facilities, which have always been great, but because the room I booked and paid for through Booking.com was not the room I received. I had booked a family apartment for two people and our dogs, but on arrival was given a king studio with only one bed. When I returned to reception and showed my Booking.com confirmation (which clearly stated that the booking was for a family apartment), the staff member insisted their system showed a king studio booking. We were then given a different room that at least had 2 beds, but it still wasn’t the room type I had booked or paid for. Even if the problem stemmed from a breakdown in communication between the motel and the third‑party booking site, there should be better support and accountability if something like this happens. At the very least, some acknowledgement of the pricing difference and a partial refund based on the difference of the room rates or a gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way and I probably would have overlooked this mix up easily as the studio room we were moved to at least fit our needs for the 2 night stay and I have generally enjoyed my stays at this motel in the past.

It was in the perfect spot for us.

We booked and paid for 3 adults. However there was only 2 towels available.The unit was clean except behind the toilet door. Dust. And cobwebs.

We booked a family apartment. However when we checked in, the man in reception gave us a single room. When I questioned it, he refused to give us the apartment which we booked even when I showed him the booking on my phone. He repeatedly told me to take it up with booking.com

It was quiet and plenty of parking etc

The cleaning standard needs to have attention paid to it. One of the towels we had looked grubby and one of the extra pillows in the drawer had a particularly dirty pillow case on it. The shower tray needs attention to the mould starting behind the lower door. I would have raised these with the staff but the office was still closed when we left.

Easy to find, a lot of parking, provides a cot, allows pets, basic facilities but was still great having a kitchen in our room.

Poor shower pressure, room wasn’t cleaned properly - found socks and rubbish behind a door.

The location was nice and the kitchen was fully equipped.

One of the beds was not clean. It smelled used and was full of long black hair. There was no staff when we picked up the key and when we returned it in the morning, the office did was locked and the person there disappeared into a back room when we approached.

Great little truck stop motel on the main road. Exceptionally clean.

The traffic noise from our room was quite bad.

I missed check in by half an hour and started panicking until I noticed the night bell. The friendly, attentive employee directed me to my room which was so much bigger than expected. The bed was comfy and everything was very clean. Would recommend!

The motel is convenient to shopping and dining facilities. It was close to our preferred travel routes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Staff assisted with our requests wherever possible and were flexible.

A huge room with excellent facilities and a very comfortable bed. Quiet and clean.

It was what I expected. The room was clean, however the swimming pool was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in some time. One of the main reasons for booking here was to have a swim, so was disappointed that myself and my wife couldn't go for a swim. Admittedly, someone else staying there did go for a swim, but didnt stay in the pool for long. Unsure whether she died later or not.

Despite being located on a main highway you would be forgiven into thinking hmm frontage appears older. The new compact and modern units were at the back and did not disappoint. Great stay will stay again. Polite, professional service. Thank you.

Service was not the best - noisy on site -not to mention road traffic noise, quite dated ie shower facility poor- outdoor furniture needing proper repairs, towels etc didn't smell great, tea towels stained etc

Carpet was not vacuumed, toilet had floaty bits of shit and window sill’s were dirty. Pool was green and murky.

Loved the location, new and modern units, privately tucked down the back, no noise from the traffic, bed was comfortable, great facilities, shower was awesome!

There was someone else’s rubbish in the toilet bin, the towels smelt like stale cigarette and fat, the table and chairs outside were covered in bird faeces, one of the curtains weren’t on the hooks properly.

We always choose the Thornton when travelling out of town, its quiet, the rooms are great, clean and value for money.
