Friendly and helpful staff. A good full breakfast, scrambled eggs etc Good bed and very quiet
Very comfortable and clean with nice bedding and even complimentary cotton robes. We loved that! . Great service as well. We will stay again if we are in Paso Robles in the future.
We always have a wonderful stay at the Oaks Hotel & Suites.
Spacious, very clean and modern room with lots of amenities, coffee maker with a selection of pods, iron & board, hair dryer, safe (in room), fridge, TV w/ massive channels, Shampoo, conditioner and body gel IN SHOWER, Fluffy big clean towels, comfortable bath robes to use , a desk, a sofa and clothes cabinet Not to forget the fitness room, pool and spa, bar, gift shop and a complimentary HOT breakfast prepared by a cook available 7 days a week.
The staff was excellent. The room was perfect. Breakfast was awesome. Among our best trips. I highly recommend to anyone.
It was good bt there was dirty towels. In the bed it wasn’t clean. Breakfast was good as always
Loved the room - nice and roomy. Comfy beds and welcoming staff. A nightlight in the bathroom would be nice. The covered parking was a plus!
We booked the room the day before we arrived, and we were pleasantly surprised by the close proximity to the town Square and they offered a nice full breakfast in the morning. The room accommodations were nice and quiet and plenty of room to meander in the room and it was a good stay.
Visited with family on a last-minute trip. Overall, a solid stay and good value, with a few quirks. Location: Decent but feels a bit isolated. Very close to Sensorio, which is a big plus. Downtown Paso Robles is only a few minutes away, but you do miss the walkable “vibe.” I paid extra for a room that included breakfast—still unclear if that’s a real add-on or just a pricing gimmick, since breakfast doesn’t feel truly “included.” Atmosphere: Cozy, inviting, and festive. The property is very neat and well-kept, but both the hotel and rooms feel dated compared to newer, more modern options. Rooms: Very spacious for a family. We had two queens plus a sofa bed. Note: the “queen” beds are actually full beds, and the sofa bed ended up being the true queen. Fresh linens were missing for the sofa bed, so we had to manage using duvets with worn covers—this was the biggest miss. Value: Strong value overall. Booking through Expedia got us a noticeably better price. Cleanliness: Surprisingly clean throughout—no complaints here. Noise level: Very quiet and serene. Service: No major issues. Front desk was fine, though we had to wait while the agent finished a phone call. Also had to provide my credit card again at check-in despite completing online check-in, which felt redundant. Amenities: Free parking Breakfast was okay Free coffee/tea in the lobby Self-serve laundry Access to fitness center Pool (appears closed in winter) Ample parking and many EV charging spots (didn’t try charging) Free Wi-Fi Room included two TVs, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker Spacious bathroom with standard toiletries (shower cap missing) Bottom line: Comfortable, quiet, and good value—especially for families or a quick Sensorio visit. Loses a point for dated interiors and small execution gaps, but I’d stay again if the price is right.
Very pleasant experience at the Oaks. Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable, parking a breeze and the staff are veryfriendly and welcoming. The hotel is 5 minutes from downtown.
Easy access off the freeway, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast buffet. I recommend changing the shower head that sprays a narrower spray. It has a wide spray and actually got the floor wet. And maybe change the sink faucet sprayer to a narrower running waterfall rather than it shooting out a like an umbrella. More lightning in the Bathroom is my wife's suggestion thank you.
A three-story hotel with covered parking spaces in the front and back. There are also uncovered parking spaces. Located behind a McDonald's on a dead-end street. Easy access to gas stations like Chevron, and right off the 101 South. Very well kept and clean. The front desk staff is helpful. I didn’t get to try the breakfast because I had to get to work by 6:30 am. I stayed there from Thursday through Sunday. There’s a swimming pool, but it’s too cold out now in December. The room is well furnished and well lit. They give you a bathrobe, hair dryer, and makeup remover towelettes. They use their own line of liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Very comfortable king-size bed. I would stay again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the light bulb above the shower is out. One of the two washcloths has holes.
We had a great stay! The room was very clean and comfortable (comfy bed, quiet room, good location) and the breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of choices. Customer service was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Parking lot was spacious. We would definitely come back!
Well located to where we needed to go to be with family at Thanksgiving. Easy access, plenty of parking, a decent breakfast with a nice gentleman, Jim, who was host at breakfast room. A bar on site and comfortable beds and very clean.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable accommodations. Glad they offer a complimentary hot breakfast and have a lobby bar. Prices change often so wait for the best price. Our rate was $125 plus taxes.
We love this hotel. Hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable with a couch and all the amenities. Coffee, tea, and cookies are available 24/7 plus a delicious hot breakfast is included!
No EV charging but it was reserved as part of our reservation when booking online. This caused great inconvenience and stress. Requested accessible room with two queens. The room stunk. Manager changed us to a king room. Bed was poor quality and smaller than our king at home. Bedding is dated poor quality sheets and blanket. Toilet difficult to flush. Constant noise in wall behind shower. Shower so powerful and such a wide spray, it wafted past the curtain onto floor nearly causing a slip and fall. We have stayed at The Oaks about ten times through the years. It has gone downhill. We won't be back
Clean room and great breakfast. Our sofa bed was used but we could have asked for a rollaway instead. Great stay and every one was friendly
I stay here every time I stay in Paso Robles. The rooms are large and clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is included and a good start to the day.
Everything was great. Wife was looking forward to a magnifying mirror, and sink drained slowly, but we would definitely stay again. It's a convenient location & staff is helpful
Beautiful clean hotel. Close to downtown area and wineries. Great breakfast
The handicapped spaces were too few. Just two at the location. Your supposed snack/gift shop left a lot too be desired. Did not use either the pool or the hot tub. Your breakfast was barely edible the entree dishes were cold and your selection poor. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Convenient location in Paso Robles. Room was very quiet at night. Hotel is very clean. Full breakfast is good.
Overall the stay was good I have no complaints.
Excellent
Convenient location, quiet area, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed and room and the wonderful weatherly didn’t hurt! Lots to do in town too with wonderful restaurants.
Great price for the area, and offered everything we needed for a weekend wine tasting trip with friends. Not the poshest hotel in town, but clean, great staff, and good breakfast! A great deal for your money. Plenty of parking and well lit. Did not use the pool or hot tub, so we cannot comment!
Staff was great! We were able to check in earlier than 3p Coffee in room Coffee and Tea in the lobby. They supply Robes and Slippers. Looking forward to the full breakfast tomorrow
Great breakfast nice friendly staff
Nice
I have been coming here for a few years now, and feel like family. They have a great and varied breakfast buffet that I love. Their cook does a wonderful job, and keeps all of it stocked. The potatoes O’Brien are some of the best I have had. Jim, who is the host, is a gem. There is a bar with a relatively new bartender, but no dinner served. Do what I sometimes do, order bbq at bubba’s and bring it back to the room. Good hot or cold.
Breakfast was very good and the front desk very helpful
Awesome hotel! Loved the room, beds are comfy, shower great, mini fridge and coffee maker too! Breakfast is a good variety and there is a bar there too (beer and wine). It is near the freeway entrance but you cannot hear anything. Very quiet. About 5 minutes from Downtown Paso Robles.
This is our first stay here. It is a 3-star hotel. The lobby is inviting. Complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies! Nice touch! A small gift shop with snacks and local attractions brochures. I actually bought three bottles of olive oil to support the local production. Our room is located on the second floor. It’s quiet at night. Elevator works well; appreciate the water bottle filing stations by the elevator. Disappointed that my room key didn’t work on the door by the elevator. I saw guests soaking in the hot tub by the pool. The room is clean, love the bed! The AC works fine proving comfortable temperature. Bathroom is clean, but the water pressure is too much that we had to turn on the faucet and the shower to adjust the water flow; otherwise it shoots down like garden hoses!! Love the slippers ( first time seeing this in a hotel! Thanks so much!) and the bath robes! Now, the not so good things: There are some stains on the couch; the floor upon entering the room was sticky. Parking was easy. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast was satisfactory.
Prior to checking in, you will receive email reminders to complete the check in form prior to your stay. I would recommend you do this to make the process quicker. The hotel is located off of the Hwy 46 exit towards the Fairplex side of the freeway. It's actually very walkable to the Fairplex. I would guess about 3-4 blocks away. The hotel is located in a very isolated part of town and has very low lighting leading up to it. There's a Napa Auto Parts, Grocery Outlet, Carl's Jr. & McDonalds across the street. Driving up gave me an uneasy feeling, but luckily we are in Paso and for the most part, it's safe. I also saw a few RV's parked about a block or 2 down the street. They will put a $100 hold on your card for incidentals. You are given a card (one for each guest) for your breakfast that you will have to show every morning you decide to dine there. It's held right across the check in desk. This used to be their restaurant prior to Covid but has since closed down because they could not afford to keep paying the employees there.. It's buffet style and pretty ordinary. It's ok. I think the Oxford has better breakfast offerings as they can make omelettes on request. Not sure if the quality has gone down or what, but the reviews made it sound like it was fantastic. We had a 1 king bed and the room itself is clean and pretty spacious. There's even a couch in the room. The bed is on the firm side and that's what I like. The sheets are nice and clean and I can
It is an average hotel, nothing fancy, but clean and fairly comfortable. It is an older property but they have tried to maintain it. Staff was friendly. There were a few people hanging around down the street who appeared homeless. That made me feel a bit unsettled and worried about the car, etc. It is freeway adjacent so good access, but about three miles from the main square. I would not seek it out as an option again but if it was all that was available would stay there.
We had a great stay at The Oaks Hotel Paso Robles. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the main beds were extremely comfortable — we all slept really well. Breakfast was a nice bonus and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the sofa bed, which wasn’t as comfortable as the main beds. Otherwise, everything was excellent and we’d happily stay here again.
Budget friendly. Dog friendly. Area around the hotel is not nice.
There are many scenic activities in the area as well as great eating & drinking options.
Needs modernization. Free breakfast was excellent. Staff was very good.
The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. It was far enough away from traffic so the evening was quiet. The check in was smooth, no issues. Overall would stay there again
Enjoyed the amenities of a water bottle refill station and appreciated the sharps container in the common area restroom for those in need.
beautiful room, great breakfast
I
Wonderful overall, nice grounds and free breakfast was delicious and area was clean.
👍
Great one night stay. Lovely room, comfy bed. Lobby nice with coffee always available. Great breakfast. Nigel at the front desk was awesome!
We have stayed here many times over the years and have always been pleased with it. Except for this recent visit. Things seem to be deteriorating both in service and in the quality of the accommodations. In the bathroom we noticed that the shower was not adequately cleaned and there was leftover melted bar soap in the soap dish. The EV car chargers were not working and the desk clerk said there are no plans to fix them, although their website still promotes EV chargers as an amenity. The bath towels are ragged and worn. The bed mattress was sagging, and the pillows are lumpy and old. The carpet was dirty and stained. Customer service attitude is poor, except for the breakfast dining host who is friendly and helpful. We have stayed here numerous times for many years. It used to be our favorite in Paso Robles. But now we notice how so many things have deteriorated as if the management does not care. It saddens me but we will try staying elsewhere for future visits.
ok
Staff and room were great!
Very clean and friendly staff. Close to restaurants and the robe and slippers were a plus 👍🙂
Had requested an early check in & appreciated the front desk's help in this.
Very accommodating staff.
I've stayed at this hotel before and it seems it is not being kept up. There was a large stain on the carpet and the toilet seat was misaligned. The sheets and towels were rather thin. I only stayed one night, so it was okay, but I wouldn't want to spend several days there. The breakfast was very good.
This is our 2nd stay at this location. Rooms are large, clean and microwaves, refrigerator and coffee machines are standard which is appreciated! They include a breakfast. Best part is you can bring your furry friends. The doggy potty area lacks upkeep. The grass was dry, poop all over just unkept.
Proximity to Sensorio, Hearst Castle, Elephant Seal and Morro Rock Bay is convenient and satisfactory.
The Oaks Hotel is a great place to stay in Paso Robles. The hotel has very amenity and the free breakfast is exceptional... from the china plates and stainless cutlery to the variety of food choices. I was somewhat disappointed that the EV chargers are not operating at this time. Need to find out more about his, since that was another top perk in staying there. But everything else is terrific!
Staff very friendly and facilities kept up. Breakfast was good. We stayed in “pet friendly” room with our service dog. Carpets should be replaced as there were visible stains in several areas. We regretted getting pet friendly room because of that. Otherwise we enjoyed our short stay.
Safe, quiet, clean room
Reception desk area and behind are very disorganized. Room is ok. Staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable or accommodating. It is fine but there are many nicer properties for the price.
This hotel is located between the freeway and the train tracks. Noise at night was not an issue. It is about 1.4 miles from downtown, walkable for us but not for everyone. There were a few homeless people living at the end of the block, not causing trouble but be aware. Breakfast was very good and made fresh day. We watched the food being cooked!
The Pool
Staff was very friendly and helpful
The hotel was fine for the price. Standard accomodation. It offered breakfast, but it had sign saying to wait to be seated. I moved on, seemed out of place for the property. I just wanted something quick and a little coffee. Just down the street I noticed a fair number of homeless hanging around. Parking is outside. A little concerned about leaving things in the car or random damage.
Many choices for breakfast. A good variety
Definitely would stay here again. Clean room, nice staff with good breakfast options.
The sheets were new, but had large stains. The bed spread also had stains. Won’t be back.
I stayed at The Oaks Hotel in Paso Robles from August 29 to September 1, 2025, and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive, making check-in and every interaction throughout my stay easy and pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with all the little touches that made it feel like home. I especially appreciated how quiet and relaxing the environment was—perfect after exploring Paso Robles wine country. Breakfast each morning was fresh, well prepared, and offered a great variety to start the day. The location was also ideal—close to downtown Paso Robles, wineries, and local attractions, yet still tucked away enough to feel peaceful. Overall, The Oaks Hotel is a wonderful place to stay if you’re visiting Paso Robles. With friendly service, excellent amenities, and a convenient location, it’s easy to recommend and I look forward to returning on my next trip.
It is a well-run hotel. Not the best in terms of ambiance. A bit of an older hotel but clearly offered everything we needed. A quiet good-sized room, comfortable bed, TV, shower was excellent, breakfast was great, snack bar, free coffee and tea. Fitness center a bit musty. Pool ok. The staff was great. The woman handling the front desk on the morning of 9/8 was smiling, extremely pleasant and helpful.
It was great. Room is clean & provides necessities that most hotels don’t provide like bathrobes, slippers, makeup remover wipes, microwave, coffee & mostly breakfast buffet.
Overpriced for what you get. Beds were uncomfortable.
There are alot of homeless people in the area
The staff! Fantastic people work at this property. We were a big and loud group and everyone at the property was absolutely lovely and so accommodating. The property itself is fine, it's a regular clean hotel but it was the team that made our stay so special and we really appreciated the wonderful staff that works here!
Friendly staff ' very professional 👌 rooms were comfortable and clean 👌 breakfast was very 👍
We enjoyed our stay Nice amenities We will definitely return
None
Rooms are great nice and comfy
For the positive side - Service was fine. Surprised to find robes and slippers in the bathroom. Cons: Room could use a deep clean or update. Opened the door and was greeted with an unpleasant odor. Floor was sticky and overall dingy. Shelf in shower was not clean. Some linens were frayed and old looking. Coffee pot did not work. Rubber bathmat was aged and cracking. We did not use the robe or slippers. I bring my own clothing. More effort should be put into the overall cleaning of the hotel. Start with the rooms. I did not waste my time to complain. I focused on enjoying my time spent away from the hotel.
It was a quiet stay
The property was close to the downtown. The amenities in the room was perfect except the TV channels didn’t work too wellA carpet needed cleaning in the room. A dog was barking and I complained and no one did anything about it. I felt the lobby was a bit cluttered, and the pool wasn’t very clean!
I tried to write a review on their own site, but it wouldn't let me.....On the whole this was a good place to stay. Location was not the best as their were homeless people about 50 yards away. There were fire fighters and trucks there due to the fires between Santa Barbara and San Luis. Other than that, with just a few changes this could be a great place! First, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast had a nice variety and was filling. I have never had to show my "breakfast card" at a hotel before but I guess they have had issues before. We had a first floor room near a side exit and it very very quiet, which we appreciated. Now to the few things that needed attention. The shower had some mold along the edges. The 1/2 glass door allowed water to seep out on the floor. The bathroom sink nozzle sprayed all over the place. The hallways were freezing. I used the pool, but the spa looked very dirty. The TV channels were a bit cumbersome. The ice machine for the whole first floor was broken all three days we were there.
I like the hotel itself a lot . Breakfast is great. The surrounding area is somewhat industrial, dusty and concreat. Need more green
I was given a room with all handicap access even shower but i aas too tired to complain other than that room was good and spacious.
Rooms were clean and spacious.we had a suite with 2 queen beds (3 adults 1 child) which were very comfortable and fairly quiet. All bath and suite areas were well arranged and fully supplied, clean. Staff helpful, inviting. Breakfast was hearty, clean and serviced well. Nice complimentary snacks and refreshments Pool was a plus and private. I didnt give it a 5 due to location area beyond the hotel property. Price was Fair ( this was a last minute reservation due to error in other reservations) would recommend and return.
Nice hotel away from the main town. Unfortunately it was almost 100 degrees (mid August) so not a whole lot to do outside. Beautiful evening though!
Our toilet was dirty and there were no hangers. 1 towel was dirty and 1 towel had a hole.
The bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast, not that many choices. They left empty shower cape box. Minor inconvenience. Otherwise good experience!
I like this property, Hotel. My husband and I had a great time here we were able to swim in the pool and they allowed us to bring our granddaughters come swim as well. I like this Hotel because they allow pets I didn't bring any pets this time but I have brought them in the past. Only thing I did not like is there was not a guide for the television. We had to scroll through all the channels to find what we wanted to watch. Which was time consuming the end of an exhausting day.
I have never written a hotel review, but my first and only stay at the Oaks Hotel was terrible. Check-in was a nightmare - the first room i was assigned was dirty, the second room was still being cleaned and we finally got a clean and ready room on the third try. We were upgraded to a larger room which was nice, but the process took over 30-minutes. The place felt run-down: "out of order" signs throughout the building on vending machines, ice makers, washing machines, soda machines and a broken dryer with parts scattered in the parking lot walkway. Tree clippings left lying around made the place look messy. Staff weren't uniformed, so it was hard to tell employees from guests. For the price we paid, I expected far more. This hotel is a dump - I have put them "out of order" for my next planned trip.
We really enjoyed the amenities provided: breakfast, all day coffee, tea, and cookies. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and helpful services from staff/housekeeping, We had a great time staying there.
Great place to stay, Great breakfast, everything you want for breakfast is there. The pool was great, had a lot of fun meeting people there. great bar service, she made the best drinks you'll ever want, the staff was great
Professional friendly staff, Beautiful room clean .
Appreciated covered parking under solar panels during summer. Shower water pressure was great, but did not appreciate the shower spray out of the sink faucet. Water would spray all over me.
Great place to stay, great staff very knowledgeable, bar service was over the top made us some great drinks, breakfast was great every thing you wanted for breakfast is here eggs, waffles, potatoes, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and so much more
Stayed here numerous times. Will stay again in the future.
Absolutely 100% true that we were in walking distance of The Mid-state Fair. Appreciated the parking attendant, staff was friendly. Breakfast options were great, but I felt the cook was not happy, all in all we would define stay there again
The staff was amazing and super helpful. The pool and hot tub could use a once over but we’re enjoyable and something we did not know, there is a mental health treatment facility (what appeared to be a state funded former hotel housing mental health patients) directly adjacent to the property. With that said our stay was uneventful and the breakfast was great.
Super friendly. Clean. Perfect location. Dog friendly. Dinally found a spot where we can take our dogs
Very friendly staff, love that you had coffee, Tea and Cookies in the lobby, good breakfast too, clean rooms overall great experience
Nice spot to stay for the fair. Quick easy walk.
