I’m disappointed as I come for holiday the staff tell me we can’t swim in this hotel as the building next to my room window is under construction, there’ll be something drop to the pool and I discover every room is facing the construction building in two metres, that’s really noise and I can watching the worker and construction progress! The staff want to solve those problems but it’s nothing could help as it won’t be a holiday when you can’t swim in your hotel and noise wake you up! I can say it’s not the same description as the Hotels.com but no one want to solve the problems!!!!!! Of course, no refund and no response !!!!!(T_T)
When we first arrived at the property we were told it was closed due to refurbishment, and were moved to another hotel. After 2 days we were told the property was open again and were returned, the hotel had not been refurbished and was dirty with nothing working (TV/wifi). My advise to anyone looking to stay at this hotel, move on the place is a dirty tip.
Good in location strategy, within walking distance can reach to many tourists spot nearby. Room it's bigger enough and clean.
I upgraded to one of the nicer rooms for about $5. It had two wall length windows and a little balcony. It was so nice. Really enjoyed my stay.
Blackout is so common and no backup. Very isolated area.
It was ok.. wouldn't stay again, they had no back up power for when the electricity goes out. I was unable to use the toilet or shower during those times because everything ran on the electricity. Price for addition room was not as advertised.
I booed two rooms months before travelling and asked for one double and one twin, which all seemed fine. However I was sent an email by the hotel while I was on the flight to Siem Reap telling me that the twin room was not available but that my friends could have a family room for $10 extra per night. Wasn’t too happy about not being told something which must have been obvious until it was far too late to do anything about it. Anyway my friends were ok with paying the extra rather than having to share a bed. I should say at this point that my room was fine, theirs however was not, the air conditioning was ineffective meaning the room was too hot to sleep properly. They told the staff but nothing seemed to get done about it. Then on the last night there was a big water leak in to their room and the staff response was just to turn the water off, leaving them with no water at all and when they complained to give them the keys to another room, which would have been great but it hadn’t been made up since the last guests left. Not a great last night for them and I ended up having to let them use my room to get ready to leave in. So a very mixed bag really. I stayed here a little over a year ago and was impressed, which is why I booked again. But sad to say that even though it is really handy for the centre I won’t be staying here again.
The room was dim with barely any light. However friendly staff
Comfortable great location
We were in Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat and the other temples for 2 nights. The hotel is excellent, the room was large and modern with everything you need like great shower, large bed, fridge, A/C, WiFi and TV. Breakfast was a choice of either American or Asian, we went for the Asian which was fantastic. Pool area is really nice and it is only a 10 min walk from Pub Street and the Night Market. There is a construction site next door but it did not disturb us at all. Great well priced hotel in Siem Reap.
ANOTHER GREAT STAY. I book this place for my elderly parents every year when they come to visit. The location is perfect, very near the river and only 5 minute walk into town. It is usually a very quiet area, (although this year heavy construction in the area was a bit loud - but this cannot be avoided in such a developing town). The side street is a minute away from Kings Road where cafes, shops and Bars can be found. Local mini mart just around the corner. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great VALUE for money compared to the rest, with a big room, nice bathroom and even a Balcony to enjoy that evening glass of Vino. Good swimming pool too. Tuk Tuks right outside to take you wherever you want, or you can stroll down the river and enjoy the views. Breakfast included which albeit simple, is good. (For those that want the Nightlife - Pub Street is a five minute stroll across the river, where the action happens until well into the night).
The location is perfect!! Breakfast is good, staff nice but kinda can’t comminicate in English but they try. For the price this a great option!!
This hotel has a great location, although there is construction next door right now - this would only bother you if you plan to sleep in past 7am. We booked three rooms and one had serious problems with electricity (meaning A/C, fan, etc. kept cutting out) but the staff were friendly and eventually allowed to change rooms (even it if was 1am when they finally did so!). The hotel is small and simple, but most rooms are very clear and comfortable compared to others in Siem Reap. The real value is the location - just 5 minute walk to centre of town - but far enough away that you are not kept awake at night.
Great setting, location good. Staff great. Brekkie a bit small.
This is a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Nice shower and aircon too. Good breakfast included, rest of the menu seemed quite expensive though. The only disappointing part was the builders from next door constantly looking over the property fence from above while we were trying to use the swimming pool. It was quite disturbing and made girls feel very uncomfortable. Hotel should try and address this issue somehow.
Our stay in the hotel went well. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The room is cleaned everyday. Replenishment of supply is excellent from toiletries, coffee and teas. The breakfast has variety on it from Western, European and Asian. For the price you pay and the service you get, we highly recommend this hotel!!
My wife and son enjoyed the swimming pool every day that we were there. We also enjoyed the breakfasts that were included in our accomadation.. The staff were all very nice and very attentive. Our room was large and clean.
The hotel is a short walk from the city centre. Tuk-Tuks are easy to find if you don’t want to walk. The hotel offers very good value for money. My room was large and very clean. The bed was a little hard, though. Breakfast is sufficient. There are 3 choices - American, Continental or Asian, each offering a number of options. I would recommend this hotel. Free airport pick-up was a nice touch.
Very accommodating. In an excellent location- near the main market areas but not in it.
Good location, decent room, but with the next door construction going on, it’s quite noisy
The hotel is nice . It’s a good price but the aircon is not that cold . They have free pick to the airport but it’s not free to go to the airport.
Great location, right next to night market and the Hard Rock!
A very nice budget hotel in an excellent location.Only a short walk to Pub street with clean rooms and friendly staff. I would consider staying there again.
My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and the hotel decorated our room for it. It was a nice touch. We only stayed in Cambodia for a short time and when we return we will stay longer, it is a beautiful country, the people are amazing. We really did enjoy our time at the hotel. They were extremely accommodating even when we our flights were very delayed. Our drive who picked us up at the airport Mr. Pichu is one of the nicest men we have ever met. The hotel is very lucky to have him as an employee. The hotel is wonderful, in a quiet location but only a 5 minute walk to food, drink and shopping. Maybe a 10 minute walk to pub street. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The only complaint, the bed is extremely hard, way too hard, almost like concrete. The breakfasts were amazing. I would also like to mention Mr. Pichu's cousin Terri took us to Angkor Wat for the day and it was a wonderful experience, his knowledge of the temples was great, and he took us to a wonderful place for lunch. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful time.
This is a very comfortable small hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The ovation is excellent for access to restaurants and markets.
I was very happy with my stay its everything its says clean friendly 10min walk to pub street.the only thing is pool is small but does the job.breakfast good free in room rate. Quite and sacure at night safe when walking home at 4am from pub street.
Airport pickup was included in our cost. We wanted to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat and left the hotel at 4:30am. The hotel had kindly organised breakfast for us in a takeaway box so we could eat at our convenience after sunrise. This needed to be organised the day before, but they kindly offered! After check out at 12 noon, we still had to wait until 11pm that same day to catch our night sleeper bus to Phnom Penh. Hotel offered to mind our luggage for the half day, and also let us shower in a separate storage room at the back of the hotel. Room and bed is spacious. This place does its job (i.e. place to sleep, shower, breakfast etc) but not of the highest quality. Unfortunately the walls are thin and the bed mattress is hard. Bathroom is small but size didn't matter to us. The fridge in our room kept turning off so we needed to manually fix it every time. Only one key (it is a physical key, not key card) that was given so was a bit inconvenient when we wanted to do separate activities. Also need to lock the door with the key every time you left the room (make sure you don't forget to lock the room). Breakfast is not a buffet, but enough to fill us up. Careful of the mozzies in the dining area.
Great location, clean and comfortable! Breakfast was really nice and the stsff very helpful! They arranged a driver to pick up up from the airport who was great and we used to bring us around the temples.
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, and a delicious breakfast. We loved Glory Angkor!
Great location and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The only issue some people may have is no elevator. I would stay here again any time.
all very good . breakfast could have been better good value friendly and helpful
Nice quaint hotel within a short 5 min walk to pub street and the night market area. Provides airport pickup free of charge. You can find hundreds of tuc tuc drovers in the area for a quick ride to just about any ware in the city for 1-2 dollars...or 5 dollar to airport. Nice big comfortable rooms. Would stay again.
The location is a walking distance from Old Market. As it on the opposite of the river, it quiet in the evening for resting. Room is nice but there was an irritating mosquito that I cannot catch it. The pool also has mosquito but it perhaps the season. Unfortunately there is funneral going on and playing songs and praying can be disturbing.
Polite staff that gave me a free upgraded room. Small boutique hotel with small swimming pool. Pool was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
This place is great. The location is AMAZING, walking distance to all the markets (less than 1/2 mile), as well as other cool shops and restaurants. Big brother was the best restaurant, and it was only a few doors down.
It is good hotel. Close to Pub Street though quite place. Hotel staff are welcome.
Staff are polite, helpful , food is good, very clean, near to entertainmeny
Very quite very clean with a nice staff. The breakfast was the best! My room came with a small balcony witch was beautiful in the morning. The bed was compy. The tv had a lot of chanles. ll in all a great stay
This hotel is located in a side street but right opposite a open arcade where good restaurants & pubs can be found. Within 5 mins walking is the Hard Rock Cafe with a bonus of live band every night. Another 2 mins to cross the bridge is the start of the very interesting night markets (see photo) and the pub streets. Room is clean with own air-con, bed is comfy, bathroom is with basic toiletries. God choices of breakfast to order from menu including continental, pancakes and oriental noodles. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall we will give it 4.5 out of 5.
I live in Siem Reap and whenever we have family or friends visiting, we always put them up here. The Location is simply perfect. On the quieter side of the River and yet only a pleasant 5 - 10 minute stroll across the bridge and you're in the Heart of Downtown. The Family and staff are friendliness itself, will help organise any day trips / tours, give advice and provide transport wherever you want to go. The rooms are excellent (I recommend the front / (pool) facing rooms with Balcony. Spacious, clean with a great Shower / bathroom, and lovely view onto a quiet lane and can just see the river too. Topped off with a private Balcony, great for sipping that glass of wine pre Sunset and watching life go by. And great value for money compared to other medium places in this Boutique bracket. (Trust me, I live here, I know!)
This was a great hotel. It was charming and quaint. Really close to the old market and pub street, right around the corner from Hard Rock Cafe - Angkor. We loved the location, the staff, and our room. It was very clean and the sheets and bed spread were crisp and clean as well. Breakfast was fresh with one serving and no seconds. It was a peaceful place. Please note that there are 3 levels of rooms and no elevator. This did not bother us as we were on the top and enjoyed the view. The only 2 mild criticisms we would give is first, the wifi/internet was terrible. We had friends in other hotels and theirs always worked and was fast and not spotty. Ours worked sometimes, was slow and unreliable. This is not a deal breaker for me, but is good info to know. The only other thing was our room, and maybe only our room in room 301 did not have a shower curtain, and you had to pass the shower to use the toilet and you could see into the shower from the room. So teenagers and parents had to be extra careful not to get an eyeful of a naked body. But this was a lovely place and is worth a great rating. We loved it and would stay there again.
hotel staff where excellent. Friendly and helpful. Location was great, only a 10 min walk to Pub Street. Swimming pool was great.....especially after a long day at the temples.
Great staff, friendly and helpful. Excellent location, only 10 min walk to Pub Street. Pool was fantastic after a day at the temples.
We stayed here for 6 nights and would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very clean and the staff are friendly
Siem Reap is an amazing place and the Shadow Angkor Inn facilitated that fun. It was close to everything and an easy to find well-known hotel for tours and drivers to find. The pub street was a short walk away, and, for my interests, there is an excellent Khmer boxing gym only a 20 minute walk away. The staff are nice and helpful. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have the most relaxing pool; situated in the entrance and not so big, it's not really possible to swim or relax, although it's an excellent place to tan near.
I enjoyed my stay at the Shadow Angkor Hotel. It is just a block from the river and two blocks from the Hard Rock Cafe. You are 15 minutes from the temples and the floating market. The hotel offers a free breakfast, choosing from six options. The room is not fancy (having a concrete floor), but it is clean and efficient for a budget hotel. There is a lovely salt-water swimming pool and garden in the front of the hotel.
