Close to main attractions, nice place to stay. Staff friendly
This was a wonderful experience for me, especially whilst staying by myself. I cannot fault the lovely hotel, the most friendly and helpful staff or the close proximity to the centre of town. My phone broke just before I arrived, all staff, including the owner's daughter, graciously let me use their phone so I could communicate with my family. Indeed, they were so warm, friendly and helpful. I can't thank them enough. Well recommended.
Great little place near the night market and walking street in Siem Reap. Room is spacious and clean. A perfect stay!
Great place to stay in siem reap
I am an English Speaking tour guide in Siem Reap, I didn’t stay at the hotel but I tried to buy a coffee which is located in front of the hotel where it have name the same to hotel and it is a part of hotel of course, But it was so so so so upset me as I had a foreigner who is my costumer ( tourist ) asked me to helped to take a way coffee for her so I went to coffee shop located just right in front of the hotel , so I asked the woman Ice Cappuccino, and I told her I don’t know if the right flavor for my customer , suddenly, the woman was so angry and through her anger at me even kick me out with the horrible words screaming at me which made me so confused . so I walk away as I didn’t want to argues but take it as the lesson . So I would give 1 star for her horrible customer service . *** not hotel servers but it is a part of hotel business right in front and it was the coffee shop.
Darya speaks excellent English, is warm and friendly, and serves great coffee and smoothies. The hotel is quiet and relatively small, staff are superfriendly and helpful, and the location is great being only 5 mins away from shops, restaurants. Best food we found nearby was the Khmer Red and Green curry restaurant.
Nice hotel near the center (Old Market, Pub Street) with a beautiful swimming pool. The staff at the reception is very friendly, the cleaning ladies are less so. Not always enough toilet paper. My room was big and beautifully decorated.
Good luck getting a restful night sleep, just go across the street and party at the Mad Monkey.
The property wasn't bad but rather old and not in the best condition. It was also just a little farther than I'd like from the downtown area. No restaurant. There are some gorgeous options closer to town for just a few dollars more and well worth it.
I really enjoyed my 6 night in total I stayed at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were spotless. The manager was so kind and helpful and there's a shop next door to get supplies. Also the pool is beautiful to cool down. My favourite hotel so far in Cambodia! He also changed my 50 dollar notes twice to smaller money which was very useful.
Our room was spacious and clean. What we really enjoyed was the staff. When our arrival got delayed multiple times they were still able to organize a tuk tuk to quickly pick us up at the bus station. They helped organize a driver to take us through Angkor Wat and packed snacks for us to take. There is a bit of walk to get to downtown, but nothing too bad. Highly recommended, especially considering the price.
We’ve been there for our honeymoon and the hotel gave us more that what we paid for. Hotel staff are helpful and accommodating. The room was huge and clean. Breakfast near the pool was elegantly superb. Food was delicious. Overall it was a royal-feel vacation for me and my hubby. We miss riding the tuktuk going to Cambodia’s best destinations —late review,2015
We don't think the photos do justice.....how can a photo show the friendly owners...the brilliant staff.?we arrived and the room was spotless....huge double bed....fridge....bathroom with amazing shower....full bath.....The room was kept spotless.breakfast was simple but enough....coffee replenished regularly too......The pool area was a delightful ....and towels provided.visited local lavender spa almost daily.
5 nights in this cosey comftable hotel the staff are very lovely. Great location a quick tuc tuc ride or a nice walk to most of the local hot spots. Would come back. Staff took excellent care of us. Definitely recommend.
I try not to give bad reviews as we are talking people's businesses and livelihoods so I try to keep it honest. Pros: Great sized room. Great sized bathroom and wet room. Clean and tidy and good cleaning staff and helpful reception staff.Prices for drinks in minibar and laundry..very very fair. The airport pickup was great. Quiet area. Cons: Further out from town centre as Agoda on Google would have you believe! I walk a lot but in the heat, you need a tuk-tuk taxi service! No bar area to relax, they have a breakfast room with limited opening hours. Swimming pool in a very ' compact garden '
Located conveniently within walking distance of the bustling tourist areas yet far enough so that it is peaceful and quiet. The people here make the difference; Pich and his team made sure our stay was comfortable and we are very happy with the day trips and guides they arranged for us.
We loved our stay at Asanak; the managers and staff are friendly and helpful and the beds are so comfortable (we’ve travelled extensively in Asia, so it was a pleasant surprise). We loved the salt water swimming pool and that the rooms had bath tubs. The breakfast is so so, but the coffee is good. The location is nice because it’s in a quieter part of town, but close enough to walk to the good restaurants. Would definitely stay again.
***would actually give 4.5/5*** Great hotel! Rooms and bathroom were clean and simple. Air conditioning worked well. Location was pretty good, especially if you use a tuk tuk service. Service was very good, and staff were friendly. My only complaint was that some of the towels smelled and I had to ask for new ones.
Lovely first impression, as a hotel tuk tuk drove us from the airport to the hotel. Hotel staff are very warm and friendly, which was great. The hotel itself was very nice, the rooms were air conditioned and comfortable. The pool is fun, and there are toys that you can use there. Only cons about this hotel was that we found a dead bug in the towels and sometimes the towels had a mildew scent.
Our family of 4 stayed at Asanak for 6 days 5 nights in a 2 connecting room with spacious bathroom on the 2nd floor. I am impressed that the room and bathroom are consistently clean throughout my stay. The hotel had his own convenient shop which offers essential supplies at same price as compare to other shops nearby. The hotel is about 20 mins walking distance to the pub street and there are many less expensive restaurants near the hotel with plenty of choices choose from. Breakfast is complimentary, the omelette served was tasty and the limited choices available is sufficient for our family. Our Tuk Tuk driver is Chey (provided by the hotel), a very friendly guy whom was willing to take me as see as many Temples as possible and even to a remotest temple that he has never been. He even brought me to visit his Friend Din’s whom shown me their farm. Overall I impressed of my stay in Asanak would definitely be back when I visit Siem Reap again.
We enjoyed this place very much. Cozy and comfortable. Staff was friendly and we got everything we asked - even a softer pillow. We spent a couple of days just by the pool. The location is ok, you can walk to the city and the neighbour hotel disko didn't bother us too much and we are quite sensitive about noise.
Staff was super nice and accommodating. The location is great and convenient. Walking distance from Pub street and other restaurants. The hotel is clean & quiet. Part of the room price (for us at least) includes taxi from the airport to the Hotel. Great service. Note to travelers: we brought some nice shirts with us to the trip in case we want to go out, or dine in fine restaurants in Siem Reap. We made the mistake of doing laundry through the hotel and giving them those shirts to clean... I believe the hotel uses a third party for their laundry services but the shirts came back completely ruined. I don’t know if that third-party place squeeze-dry those shirts? Or rub them against a rock as part of the laundry process..? But the shirts came back stretched and disproportional...
Nice boutique hotel in Siem Reap. Friendly staff that was able to arrange a great tuk tuk driver for all our tours. Only complaint would be WiFi is inconsistent. Had two adjoining rooms on the third floor which was perfect for our family of 5.
Asanak D'Angkor Boutique Hotel is close to the Pub Street (app.10 minutes of walk) or you can grab a TukTuk which will cost USD 1/person. I would recommend you to walk as you will pass by many restaurants & food stalls which might attract your attention to. The hotel is quiet during the day & night which will be preferable for people who like comfort & calmness. It would be suitable for family with kids as the hotel too have a swimming pool which opens till 2030 hrs. The staffs of the hotel including the owner are very friendly & easy to approach. They help you in getting TukTuk for you to get to the city or airport. The rooms are clean & comfortable to stay in. The bathrooms & toilets are clean & well maintained. However, since they are still new in the business, the breakfast choice aren't in many varieties. You got to order the same choice of breakfast every day. I do hope the hotel will work something out to improve their breakfast meal choice. You can always walk down the street to grab breakfast as restaurants are open as early as 0800 hrs. I enjoyed my stay here with my wife. Both of us loved the hospitality & environment of the hotel.
We spent 4 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is centrally located, but in a quiet riad away from the hectic hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. Rooms were clean, comparatively spacious and beautiful. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and chill pool area. Staff were wonderful. We paid 20Euros a night and thought that was an absolute bargain, great value for money!
Great staff, great pool. Fabulous tuktuk driver, got us to all the temples for a great rate
Me and my friends stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. They leave great food (especially the fried rice), great bathroom and a great view! It's near pub Street market for a great night and they have tour services for landmarks here during the day I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Hotel has good facilities in the room, has good small swimming pool and very good breakfast. But the family room on the 3th floor it's roof top that makes room very warm in day time ,and during our stay the communication system of the hotel didn't work..
Loved the hotel; small, friendly and clean. Far enough out of town not to be noisy but close enough to walk.
We have had, a pleasant stay at this hotel, the room was spacious with basic amenities you may need during your stay. Staffs were helpful and the Tuk tuk driver “Chey” was helpful and flexible. For some the hotel might be far from the Pub street and night market but if you are looking for a quiet vacation this hotel can offer you that. Has few selection on Breakfast but nevertheless they can start your day. Really enjoy the stay!
Place is OK - big room, diligent staff. It has some mosquitos, but I guess it's because of the city. It is a little far from relevant places, tough.
This was a wonderful gem of a find for my family. The Asanak D'Angkor Boutique Hotel's staff took wonderful care of my wife and children while they traveled to Siem Reap without me. The rooms were clean and spacious; the hotel itself is within easy walking distance of the night market. But the best part was the way the staff went out of its way to make sure my family felt comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel for its service.
Just great!
Located in a quiet area of Siem Reap this hotel is relatively small. The staff was nice and our tuk-tuk driver who picked us at the airport remained with us for the whole trip while discovering the temples around. Prices for excursion are reasonable. However the breakfast was a bit deceptive. Many fresh fruits, but it was supposed to be full American breakfast with eggs (choice of three styles) with ham / sausage/ bacon, and it was only egg. No other dishes proposed. Juices tasted too chemical :( Unfortunately there was a house under construction right next door and there was noise from 8am sharp every day. OK because we wake up early but a bit annoying when you want to relax by the pool in the afternoon... Overall a nice hotel but probably a bit overpriced for what you get.
Room is very spacious, Value for money, clean, you can really have a good night sleep with the size of the bed although the pillows were a bit "rock hard". Staff were courteous although there's a slight inconsistency in terms of service, I'm not sure if its the language barrier or just limited to a specific person/ staff. Place is a bit secluded and we really wanted to try, explore and do biking but we were a bit scared since its too dark at night and there are dogs on the street.
Staffs are friendly but other than that it is lower than my expectation. First morning in order to see sunset I woke up early and have found out that they are providing left over coffee on the pot...
It was a very nice stay. It's a small hotel with a cosy feel. The rooms are clean and big. The staff is really friendly and helpful. You can rent a tuktuk in the hotel and visit all the tempels, the tuk-tuk drivers know all the locations and are genuinely friendly.
Overall the hotel was great, the only setback which i was not so happy with is the breakfast. Its too simple and not appetizing. The choices for the breakfast was very very too little choice to have. Wherelese for the room, there was smell from the bathroom but its tolerable. Also the water drainage was bad in the bathroom as after bathing the water will not drain and it cause the bathroom will look as though it is flooded.
The facilities are very nice and the staff are very helpful and accommodating
Nice basic room and amazing staff, even an occasional lack of English does not diminish the positive vibe of this place. Quiet location and comfortable bed. On the downside, our room was filled with mosquitoes when we arrived and we had to borrow a spray from reception to deal with it.
I'd say the word Boutique is over-used in Siem Reap so take that with a grain of salt. This was a very simple, yet pleasant hotel option located not far from the center of the night life. Nothing fancy but it was definitely good value for the price. It's located off an unpaved pot-holed road, but also away from the madness of the night life. The pool was a nice amenity but it's overshadowed by a building so if you're looking to do any sun-bathing you may have about a hour a day opportunity for direct sunlight. The breakfast was a very sad affair, but not too much a departure from the norm for Cambodia. Very inexpensive, but most of the hotels in Siem Reap are a good value, which means this one didn't really stand out enough to be recommended. Not bad, but nothing to rave about.
Five minute walk to all the action but you feel as if you are in the country. Great staff
Lovely hotel situated very close to centre of Seim Riep
Right from the start everything went well. Our shuttle was at the airport waiting for us. Staff friendly and helpful and made a great attempt to converse in English. Hotel room impressive and clean. Twice they confirmed our shuttle to take us to the next location. Cannot fault our stay
good services, very clean. just enter to hotel a shot road not very good. high recommend!
The hotel is off a little side road near Pub Street. It was neat to be able to see what "real Cambodia" was like away from the touristy places, but it was also within walking distance to the main road. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The shower is amazing and I loved the bathtub as well. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is beautiful. For breakfast you can choose between eggs or rice porridge but they also have a selection of fruit and breads to supplement. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again.
A very clean, comfortable and friendly place, felt more like a 5-star hotel (by the US standards).
First time to Siem Reap and was good holiday, thought of 2nd visit.
The staff at the hotel were so helpful, friendly & competent. They arranged a 3-day tour of the Angkor Wat ruins. The rate was reasonable (between $35-$45 for guide per day & $30-$80 for an air-conditioned car & driver per day, depending on how far the sites are) considering that they were exclusively ours for 6-9 hours a day. They also arranged a 2 hour massage in the room. Highly recommended! $20 for a 2 hour Cambodian massage (it was very similar to deep tissue, attacking knots in my back as well as relieving tired leg muscles from all the walking). It may be cheaper elsewhere around town but the luxury of doing it in-room without worrying about transport was worth it. Not that transport was ever an issue. The hotel staff was always on hand to flag a tuk tuk or call a driver. The staff was also very courteous at breakfast. Besides a buffet of croissants, toast, jam, butter, juices and exotic fruits, they also offered a free menu with cooked options like eggs. The staff also assisted us with laundry. Again, the price here ($2 per kilo) may be more than elsewhere in town but we didn't have to worry about lugging a laundry bag around. The laundered clothes was well-cared for & had a turnaround of less than 24 hours. We needed to call a local bus company to arrange to pick us up at the end of our stay (headed to Ho Chi Minh). The hotel staff assisted us with that as well, which was much appreciated due to the language barrier. We enjoyed the pool everyday!
This is a new hotel and everything is in excellent condition. The staff is supurb and is helpful in every way. We came in at midnight in a Tuk Tuk supplied by the hotel........and the last 100 feet of road was dirt which made us wonder where is he taking us. Actually the hotel is at the edge of the downtown area in a quiet residential area....about 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride. The pool was delightful after a long hot day of exploring. Over, it was the best hotel experience we have ever had.......and we hated to leave.
We stayed in the family room for 5 nights for the price of 1 room in the other hotels. It was actually 2 rooms with connecting door that was great. The rooms and bathrooms are big, modern and very clean. The pool is small and nice for the kids. The breakfast is basic, cereals, bread, coffee/tea, fruits and your can order western or Asian dishes. The stuff was very friendly and we use the hotel tour with a tuk tuk in one of the days. We got free pickup from the airport that was very convenient. Location wise it's not on a main road but 5 min walk to restaurants and shops or 10-15 min walk to pub street or night market. You can also use a tuk tuk for 2$ to get there. The one thing to improve would be add light blocking curtains as there is a lot of light in the room from very early morning and also at night.
Enjoyed stay at hotel. Staff was helpful with planning tours.
The staff were very helpful The hotel was clean, quiet and just what we needed during our stay. I would recommend it to anyone
It was a very pleasant stay and the hotel staff were helpful and warm. The environment was quiet and tranquil. Pool was well-maintained and clean. The room was in good condition.
It was amazing, didn't expect so much courtesy kindnes and smile ....the food was great. As a backpacker it was more than good.
Stayed from 9/6 to 9/13/14. As for the road, yes, it is dirt, not well lit and a bit bumpy. If you have never been to Siem Reap before, you will find that many fine boutique hotels are out of the way on roads like this, so don't be surprised. Also, the hotel is not walking distance from the down town areas like Night Market or Pub Street. But the hotel employs tuk tuk drivers who are more than happy to get wherever you need to be and back, whenever needed. Cost is generally $2-3 each way for most trips anywhere. The staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate anything needed, were hardworking and gracious. The rooms were very clean, well furnished and nicely decorated. Bed sheets/blanket were super crisp and fresh, bed was comfortable. Room has a nice working A/C unit along with a fridge (2 free water bottles provided per day). Shower and bath area very clean and well taken care of. Very nice pool on site, found it refreshing after a long day. Quaint continental breakfast provided- fresh cooked eggs, bacon, ham, cereal, fruit, toast or croissant, milk/coffee/mango juice, all you can eat and drink- for NO EXTRA CHARGE. You can have your laundry done for 2.00 a kg- all clothes came back perfectly cleaned and pressed. Last thing, the 2 tuk tuk drivers at the hotel, Seng and Leem, were very good. I spent most of my time driving with Leem. I found him to be an honest, diligent, hardworking young man, completely trustworthy and enjoyed our conversations.
We adore the adorable staff and very clean, comfortable & pretty rooms. This location is a couple of blocks away from the busy centre. Tuktuks are on standby and cost one or two dollars per ride. We planned all tours by ourselves, more or less for similar prices as the hotel offers. Breakfast is excellent, plenty of choice. Perhaps the location is a downside for some, we enjoyed the calm because we visited temples by sunrise and went to bed real early. We came back for breakfast, took a nap and went out again in the afternoon. Fab!
The hotel was good, but location wise a bit out of the town centre and biggest hurdle was the dirt road access. There were heaps of pot holes and when it rains it is muddy and slippery even the tut tut got stuck a few times. There was no food to be bought at the hotel for lunch or dinner which is quite disappointing as you would need to venture out at night in the rain with the muddy road to get food.
Very nice and comfortable.
If you want a boutique hotel with all the fruit - this is the place. And the Staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was small but nice. The only negative is the unsealed and only semi lit lane access back into town. Other than this, the location is good. We took up the offer of a free airport pickup and continued to use the same Tuk-Tuk over the next 3 days for our travel. Thank you Mr Chorm. And a special mention of Miss Kunthy the receptionist. With her attitude and friendly approach she will go far in the World.
The location of the hotel is not the best if you want to be in the midst of Siem Reap's buzz, but it's only a 15 minutes walk/5 minutes tuk-tuk ride away! The hotel staff are extremely friendly, and will try to help as much as possible. The airport pick-up service is a great advantage, and so is the breakfast! The surroundings of the hotel are not amazing, but even walking at night we felt safe.
We were met and greeted at the airport with a free pick up. This hotel is about 1 KM away from the pub street that is very walkable at night. However the single greatest concern we had is the rain. The side street this hotel is located is unpaved and if it rains, we will be the last person to go anywhere near this hotel. But then this should not be a major concern in the dry season, however the hotel guests should keep that in mind. The only reason we give a 4 to overall rating is due to this. We found the hotel staff very friendly, always smiling and ready to meet any guest requests. They have nice mango tree all around the hotel with low hanging fruits. All we needed to do is pick one up and then have the staff help us to slice it, which they happily obliged. Also while we were enjoying the pool, we felt lazy to go back to our room to make coffee one afternoon again the hotel staff happily obliged with no additional charge to our room. The complimentary breakfast is minimal and except for the desserts were mostly repetitive. The breakfast desserts were delicious!! Oh yeah checkout their extra large and squeaky clean bathroom with separate area for the shower and the bath (bath tub)!! In our next trip to Siem Reap whenever that happens, we will not stay anywhere except here.
