I wouldnt stay at the property again. The good things were the AC worked well and the room was well kept, nice beds too, but the warm water which myself and my children were looking forward to was barely warm. The part that affected my stay most though was that there were dialers (Iykyk) on the property and I could hear them from my room.
I had a lovely and relaxing time at Sunrise. It was nice and quiet and every employee who worked there was friendly and quite pleasant. Would definitely come back again!
Affordable and clean
Pleasantly surprised at the nice room & comfortable bed (3rd place this trip and this was the best bed!). Loved the vibe of this place, The restaurant is one of my all time favourites and so highly recommend the chicken fettuccine pasta and corsera Brie cheese pizza. Delicious!!!
Internet poor which makes everything less comfortable. Otherwise I like this place a lot!
Fantastic location. Good value. Wonderful restaurant and bar. Public access to the beach right across the road.
We stayed one night. The owner was friendly The restaurant had great atmosphere and food. The pizza is excellent.
Negril is laid back and chill vibes. Sunrise Club is located in a great location within walking distance to everything. Their lobster pizza was amazing!
A hidden gem in Negril Jamaica. Right across the street from the beach and on the boulevard plenty of places to eat, take a walk down the strip
The lobster was the best
Owner lives there and is accessible all of the time Nice place and owner - host
Kinda have to search for service i have stay almost every hotel in negril area it was a higher rated location i mean its not bad but it could be better many times i hear the place full of people i stay next store to there a few times so i really wanted to check it but i was a little dispointed they were friendly but tte services lacked was provided wifi until i went to go searching for the information no information on the restaurant the bar is there n looked up to good services standards i dont drink so could not say the taste or not the rooms were fair alittle over priced but overall 6/10
Dont tell us tge wifi We have to be hunting for service n staff Sheets seem dirty
Rooms were outdated and had roaches
Place is amazing. Perfect local hotel near all the hot spots.
Cozy, friendly environment
Wonderful experience will definitely visit again. I have no complaints which is saying something 😉. Luca especially made me think it was home away from home. Good ac, good wifi, good housekeepers, good food, good price, close to beach, close to other resorts/bars/restaurants on strip. Ill be back save me a room please.
Well maintained, excellent location, and friendly staff. I was very impressed and hope to be able to return for another visit.
A superbly located property with a serene and tranquil feel, right across from a walkway to the beach, near many restaurants, bars and shops. It was really a perfect spot and for a good. The room was failry basic but thats exactly what I booked! My only negative is that the wifi was fairly inconsistent/unreliable once we were INSIDE our room so maybe just a signal extender or to scattered around the property to boost the strength through the concrete walls. *this is why its a 4, overall* If I'm ever back in Negril this would certainly be in contention for where to stay. Would recommend!
Was not good there shampoo and conditioner when u need the iron u have to ask for it as well if the toilet paper the faucet on the sink is no good and the towels was old and ragged the toilet barely flush and the ac blows like a fan
The property needs good management..not ready to acomdate guest in my opinion poor service
It was very quiet, too many stray dogs on property
Lovely place to stay, our host Luca was very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Amazing pizza and coffee. All the staff are friendly and made you feel welcome from the start. A short walk from the beach and bars, would definitely recommend staying here.
Property backs on to a swamp, rife with mosquitoes. Impossible to enjoy the courtyard without dozens of bites. Open garbage near one side of the restaurant stinks. For three-quarters of a two week stay, restaurant next store blasts obnoxiously loud music from around noon to 10 pm. Horrible hotel. Nice owner who is very friendly. But that matters less and less over time.
Just what we needed however a coffee maker in the room would be a great addition I know coffee is available at 8am however we are early risers.
I was happy with everything. The food is good and Luca and staff are good. Arlette, Fadia, Shanna, and Gary are doing a great job serving people and Pink Floyd showed me the town in taxi. I'll be back!
We visit Sunrise Club every time we come to the island. I honestly cannot say which I like better. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. The French toast and Sunrise special crapes make my heart sing! Can we say PIZZA! Unbelievable. Love the vibe here !
We just got back from a stay at Sunrise and I can’t recommend it enough. We arrived late and there had been a mix up with our booking, but Luca the owner couldn’t have been nicer taking us straight to a room and telling us not to worry he would sort it out. The place is perfectly located, straight over the road from the stunning 7 mile beach (<1 min walk), and near to bars and restaurants and around ten mins easy walk to downtown Negril if you need to change money, pharmacy etc. It’s around fifteen mins by taxi to Ricks Cafe. The room itself was lovely, with a very large comfortable bed and a great shower, good aircon. We stayed in a room near the front / street, and I’ve seen complaints about noise on previous reviews. We could hear music from the bar at the front for just two nights of our seven night stay, and only until midnight so I can’t say this particularly bothered us. The ground are beautifully maintained and landscaped and things were being updated as we stayed. The bar and restaurant does a really good breakfast, and amazing pizzas, and is very reasonably priced. I would love to return here and would recommend it if you want a bit more freedom than big all inclusive hotels offer, and like exploring. Thanks Luca and all the other friendly staff!
This is for the bar area. We had heard they had the best coffee... did not disappoint. The ice cappuccino was so dang good. The food? Omg, delicious. Owner, Luca introduced himself and chatted. Great service, friendly people!
I stopped with friends for coffee and we loved the vibe. We decided to come back for breakfast. We had more delicious coffee and Western omelettes and they were divine!! Remarkable by the volume of luscious ingredients and beautifully light and wispy edges. This group of foodie friends really enjoyed this breakfast experience. Sharna, you are the best. Thanks so much.
Were asked to pay full amount on arrival, in hind sight probably due to the state of the room. The room was a few meters from a busy bar/cafe on the main road, which is so loud until early hours of the morning and you hear them opening up a few hours later. Very loud and hard to sleep. The air conditioning did not work and the room was very hot. Amenities are poor and the safe also did not work. Looks like it was decorated in the dark. Staff were unsympathetic and service very poor. The private beach advertised is part of a bar, a 10 minute walk down an alley and strewn with plastic. Save your money, stay in a hostel or even a cell
The Staff are friendly and the Food is excellent. The stone baked pizzas are to die for, and the Italian food is very authentic. The Rooms are clean and cleaned everyday and the location is near to Times Sq (150 yards) and the 7 mile beach is a stones throw. So all in all, well worth it. It is also close enough (Walking distance) for the night life and bars but not to close to be noisy. I would stay again!
Sunrise Club is a beautifully landscaped hotel. Each room is semi detached, and surrounded by lush tropical plants. I felt completely secure and welcomed. There is a restaurant and an outdoor, covered bar, where we spent much time. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The owner is on site and very approachable. Great coffee, a must for me in the morning! The rooms are basic and adequate. It is not fancy, but I was always comfortable. The restaurant serves both Italian specialties and Jamaican fare, and has a wood fired pizza oven. We ate dinner there a few times, but breakfast every day. It was always delicious, and the portions were so big we quickly decided to share, and even that was a lot! Access to the beach is just across the street. It is a quick walk to the "mall" and the ATM. There is a taxi driver who waits out front, so if you need a ride you don't have to go looking. All in all, this is a wonderful place from which to experience Negril. I will stay here again, and highly recommend it.
This is a small, clean hotel located perfectly. It’s just a few steps away from the fantastic 7 mile beach and a walking distance to Negril downtown. The rooms are colourful, outdated but very clean with comfortable beds and a/c. The hotel offers beach towels and free sunbeds at Bourbon beach. The bad thing is that there is a noisy Bar just in front of the hotel. Especially in the rooms on the street side it is difficult to sleep unless you are very tired!!! The restaurant is ok but there are better ones on the beach both for breakfast and dinner.
This is a very nicely laid out eatery, very friendly staff, great tasting food, awesome drinks,a very nice dinner out, prices are comparable to most eateries on the island, the owner checks on your experience, give them a try, cheers
Very much enjoyed this restauant. Went looking for pizza to take away. Jamaican pizzas are usually delicious and this was no exception. We sat and had a couple of drinks with Gary the bartender while we waited. Ordered a small (8") half vegetarian, half mushroom and one large (12") with pepperoni mushroom and bacon. Excellent thin crust and not an overabundance of toppings, as it should be. There is a espresso machine at the bar where they pump through Blue Mountain coffee. Must return to try one.
Went there because we felt like having Pizza. Kenny's Italian Cafe was still closed while this restaurant is open from 7am to 11pm. We didn't regret because the menu was huge with lots of different toppings and the prices pretty fair. Service is a little slow like everywhere here in Jamaica. But after a few days you get used to enjoy the jamaican style. :-) Dining room itself is nothing special to write about. But we liked the pizzas. They are made in a wood oven with thin crust. Definitely will come again.
Let me first clarify that I did not actually stay or sleep here. I DID have 2 reservations for 2 separate rooms for myself and a friend that I had booked through Expedia 5 months ago and I did have conformation numbers for both rooms that I had pre-paid for. Upon arrival I gave the Italian girl behind the desk my name and she stated that she had no rooms for me and that I had cancelled. She also said she had not gotten any money from me. She also said her hotel was full and we would not be able to stay there. I insisted that we had paid (I had receipts and confo numbers) and were just called the week before as a conformation (by Expedia). She claimed she had no clue what we were talking about and that we had definitely cancelled. I asked her to call Expedia and to get this taken care of. She refused and told me I had to call. I was getting upset and seriously at the point of tears and she looked at me and asked "why you acting funny?" At that point I had to leave the office and go smoke a cigarette and take some deep breaths. I was super stressed out. As you can imagine my phone wasn't working the best since I was out of the country and I was under so much stress standing there with 7 suitcases, in a new town and not knowing where I was going to sleep that night or how I was going to pay for it since I had already paid for this hotel. I did get a hold of Expedia and they assured me that I had not cancelled and they would get this taken care of. They called her and she realized she made the mistake ( I heard her on the phone with them) and she said she could not fix it because she had no available rooms. When she got off the phone with them she did apologize to me and did offer to help us find a room but I did not take her up on her offer since I was still on the phone with Expedia who was trying to find us a room in the area. After 3.5 hours (yes we actually sat there, outside the office surrounded by all of our suitcases) Expedia finally found an opening at a hotel just a few minutes away. We did ask her to pay for our taxi since it was their mistake and she did pay. I do believe that she was sorry and I do think she would have given us rooms there if they were not all booked, but at first she did not handle the situation correctly. If you make reservations here my advice is to call a week in advance (the actual Sunrise Club Hotel) and verify that you have a room....or else.
Lovely hotel a stones throw from the beach. The Staff were amazing. Accommodation was excellent. Air conditioning in the room, large bathroom and very clean I will be going back here. I can definitely recommend this hotel .
The beds were comfortable, the porch was nice, and the location is great (stores nearby and the beach right across the street). There is a/c available and no mosquitoes. There wasn’t any wi-fi in the room, had to go to the bar. Food is pricey on site and there was a lot of noise from the surrounding homes, staff, and construction (couldnt sleep a few times). The manager was pretty much in another world; you would think he was the guest and not the other way around. Our sink was leaking and even though it stopped, the manager never sent anyone to look at it, like he said. If you can get around these minor issues, your stay would be good.
