Beautiful property, historic building and sensational views. What else could you ask for? We also had an exceptional evening with a short wine tour, wine tasting and a beautiful dinner in an elegant dining room with a pianist. The highlight of our trip thus far.

Nothing really. It was very challenging bringing our luggage up a couple of flights of stairs but we knew that ahead of booking so it was not a surprise. It was my cardio workout for the day.

Fantastiskt boende med underbart rum och vy över hela Toscana dalen . Jättetrevlig gästvänlig personal. Restaurangen med kvälls event var en upplevelse med jättegod mat och bästa servicen.

Gorgeous grounds set up on a high hill. The infinity pool overlooking the vineyards was lovely. Excellent breakfast included with the room stay. Eggs, fruit, croissants, bacon, juices…and more. Quiet and serene.

Air conditioning was adequate. But not bad at all.

Trop de règles , piscine fermée trop top , manque un peu de chaleur dans ce lieu , style domaine , château un peu trop austère , une chaleur à l’intérieur insupportable et Clim proposée fait tellement de bruit que l’on ne peut pas l allumer pour dormir . On vient dans un domaine viticole et aucun verre de bienvenue n est proposé pour découvrir le chianti . Eau non potable ..

Luxury feel at a reasonable price.

The gravel paths were a bit exhausting with heavy luggage in the summer heat.

Great retreat in the heart of Chianti. Enjoyed the property. Timing allowed us to have a special vineyard tour, wine tasting with four wines, two courses, desert and very nice piano accompaniment. It was perfect.

Restaurant only certain days. If we hadn’t timed the tour/dinner special I wouldn’t have enjoyed as much as I prefer more eating/drinking amenities on property.

Exceptionally nice location overlooking a gorgeous landscape; perfect dinner terrace; wonderful wine; one can feel the long history and particular vibe of the place; great wine at fair prices.

No elevators. Steep stairs. No helping hands when moving heavy suitcases up and down about 40 meters of elevation between the parking lot and our room. Breakfast was full and uninspired; coffee at breakfast was really bad - we didn’t drink it.

Amazing Castillo, nicely refurbished with a lot of respect for the old building and perfectionism, breathtaking views from everywhere, stunning infinity pool with view in the tuscan vineyards, great restaurant - a dinner or the combined cellar tour and dinner is highly recommended, breakfast is of very high quality with a great variety of handmade goodies... the staff is very friendly and helpful. I could mention a lot more but just go there and explore yourself... I am sure you will like Castello Vicchiomaggio as well.

The place is incredible. Beautiful and super comfortable. Breakfast is included and delicious. The staff are super helpful and friendly. My only regret is not staying an extra day to enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful pool with the amazing view!

Stunning location and surroundings, beautiful rooms and good food at the restaurant. Delphina stood out as super helpful when we had transport issues! Food and wine were outstanding as expected. Pool was lovely.

Unfortunately it was a catalogue of events that impacted our stay; the power and water the rooms went so we had to move rooms to the main building, having only a one night stay this really did spoil it as we had to repack and hike cases across the grounds as there was no assistance and it was incredibly hot. The mosquitoes really are a problem here so we couldnt enjoy dinner outside and ended up having to go the room so we couldnt enjoy the ground. The restaurant does not open every evening which we didnt know until the night before and whilst the team can arrange a picnic basket it wasnt ideal. We did get our drinks and basket free for the inconvenience to be fair to the team and they tried their best, just a shame as the place is incredible.

The view is perfect, the dinner and the staff is good, which comfort us.

The reception is rude and impolite, it’s hard to carry the luggage and the reception ignore our feeling, we have to take our clothes from the garage, at the moment it was raining heavily we stand in the rain and the staff walking around talking to each other and even didn't at us，it was disappointing.

Non c’è un bar all’interno della struttura ma è presente un frigo-bar nelle depandance….avremmo gradito un aperitivo a bordo piscina con quella vista….peccato!

Uma experiência única na toscana. Se hospedar em um Castelo foi algo mágico pra nós. A vista é maravilhosa, o atendimento foi perfeito e as acomodações são muito boas. Adoramos o café da manhã nos salões do Castelo!

Apenas o chuveiro que tinha um pequeno problema em manter a temperatura. Mas não atrapalhou a experiência, principalmente porque fomos em uma época de calor.

Bellissima posizione e camera confortevole. Anche se è stata poco sfruttata, la piscina a sfioro aggiunge dei punti a favore. Possibilità di cestino pic-nic, molto utile nel mio caso. Colazione varia e abbondante anche se mi sarei aspettata meno prodotti confezionati. ottima corrispondenza fra struttura e cliente.

The castle was such a lovely place to stay. The staff were great. Easy check in and out and great communication.

Que dias incríveis vivemos aqui! O lugar é muito mais especial do que parece pelas fotos… A localização é um pouco afastada mas isso torna o lugar ainda mais lindo: tudo à volta é paisagem de tirar o fôlego! O quarto era enorme (mesmo) e muitíssimo confortável, além da limpeza 100%. O café da manhã é muito gostoso, assim como o restaurante. Todos da equipe foram incrivelmente simpáticos e prestativos. Vamos sentir muita falta desse lugar!

Location, history, and the beautiful grounds were spectacular

The wine tour and lunch were not as elaborate as previous wine tours and tastings I’ve done in the past in France and Spain. The tour woman was very friendly and courteous, and knowledgeable, but we just felt the tour lacked more details and ways to see the crops and understanding of the wine process.

Amazing wine, views and personnel. Everyone is really helpful and our stay was amazing. Definitely a 10/10

The room did not have internet. Very bad experience. Internet issues should not be at a highly rated accommodation.

Abbiamo trascorso una notte presso il Castello Vicchiomaggio e l’esperienza è stata nel complesso molto piacevole. La location è semplicemente meravigliosa, con una vista splendida sulle colline del Chianti che rende il soggiorno davvero suggestivo. Purtroppo il tempo non è stato dei migliori (molto vento), ma ovviamente questo non dipende dalla struttura. All’arrivo siamo stati accolti da una ragazza in reception molto solare, gentile e disponibile, che ci ha accompagnati fino alla nostra camera. La camera, situata nel castello, era spaziosa, molto bella e con un letto davvero comodo. L’unico piccolo appunto riguarda la disposizione del mobile con la televisione, che risultava un po’ scomoda da vedere dal letto. Pulizia buona e curata. Non abbiamo avuto modo di provare il ristorante per cena, ma abbiamo usufruito della colazione della domenica mattina ed è stata davvero eccezionale: ampia scelta tra dolce e salato, con prodotti freschi e di grande qualità. Una delle migliori colazioni mai provate. Ci torneremmo molto volentieri, magari in una stagione più calda, per poter godere al meglio degli spazi esterni, della piscina e provare anche il ristorante.

Everyone at the castello was generous. We arrived late to the property causing us to miss our winery tour and dinner. They accommodated us by pushing our dinner back, even allowing us time to change and get ready first. They offered to give us a tour the next day but we did not have anytime unfortunately. Dinner and breakfast was lovely, the food, wine, staff and pianist made our night. The property itself is gorgeous, idyllic, my only regret is not having more time to spend there.

Fantastisk boende som säger mer än bilderna på booking. Vacker omgivning och atmosfär med historiska anor. Underbart rum, fantastiskt restaurang med väldigt god mat, poolen var med den underbara vyn över Toscana och vingården är inte att förglömma

Peaceful paradise with magnificent views. We spent a few days at the beginning of November when there were only a few guests. We had the most attentive service.

Lo staff è stato gentilissimo e disponibile. Il castello è molto curato e la posizione è ottima, non lontano da Firenze e a pochi minuti dal centro di Greve. La camera pulita e molto grande.

It is a unique experience to spend at least a night in this location. The room we stayed in was huge, clean and decorated with good taste, keeping the ancient atmosphere. It features a kitchenette in case of need. The infinity pool has breathtaking views and it's a perfect relaxation location.

It's a pity the swimming pool is not heated, but also understandable for the region, as not quite needed normally. Still, the 18 degrees water temperature in the late October days was a bit too challenging, still.

Beautiful villa, just built and opened several months ago. Family run, owners were very kind and accommodating. They stocked up our villa with milk, eggs, coffee, a complementary bottle of their signature, wine, and other treats. The villa was well outfitted with all the essentials for cooking and enjoying a very long stay.

Everything was truly wonderful however while our villa was part of the Castello Vicciomaggio property, we were not made to feel free to explore the main building and garden areas or use the amenities which was a bit disappointing.

Spectacular setting in Chianti, was a beautiful and serene stay.

Stunning location, very easy to drive to/from and do day trips to towns nearby in the Chianti region. Staff were very friendly and the room was very spacious and clean. Our favourite part was the location and view from the outdoor restaurant and from the room.
