Location was excellent for a very quiet stay but is about 20 KM from Kampot and you need a Tuk Tuk ride into the town (takes about 25 minutes)i
Slight lack of pool side loungers and chairs but was out of season. Doors to rooms need to be either changed or modified to keep insects out due to the gaps in them
Very comfortable hotel, well appointed room and well located for those that like to kayak on the beach and creek. Restaurant staff were fabulous and Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was sumptuous. The property itself is about 20-min away from the main town, ensuring you're away from the hustle bustle of the city while being in arm's reach whenever needed.
Those who like the noisy city life would not appreciate the greenery and relaxing environment so this place is not for you.
This resort was beautifully set out with an infinity pool overlooking the beach. We used the free kayaks to explore the sea and creek and free bikes to ride around this 7 hectare property. Our room was also had direct access to the creek and the beach.
Nothing really except if you want to be in the noisy town this would not be the place for you.
The resort was beautifully set out near the sea with an infinity pool by the beach. We used the free kayaks to explore the beautiful creek and also the sea. Our room also had direct a direct access and view to the beach.
Nothing really except if you want to be in the noisy town this would not be the place for you.
The breakfast was good with a variety of both Western and Asian model. The resort is the only resort in Kampot next to a beach so that was unusual but with that being said, it is some 17km from the middle of town. Aside from that it is a big resort with lots of trees, nature and beach and sea next to it. The staff was very nice and rooms was great and I would certainly come again.
Again, probably the location as it was a bit far.
The bed was comfortable
The resort looks as if it’s on life support, the grounds are a mess in poor condition and unsafe the maintenance is minimal broken pavers missing pavers, equipment in disrepair the room have rotting, doors do not lock properly all sort of bugs and cockroaches easily enter the rooms thank goodness they have mosquitoes nets
Quiet and semi private
AC didn't work properly. TV had to get out of bed to change channels. Tried to cancel rest of the reservation. But they refused or basically only offer a small amount to be refunded. After calling again and again they moved us to the new room.
Big and spacious but not well maintained …
Pool was pretty nice but ocean is not swim able
A beautiful and peaceful place to unwind in Kampot. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The resort itself is very relaxing, surrounded by nature and the sea — perfect if you want to disconnect for a few days. A special thanks to the owner, who is present and truly cares about the guests. Thanks to her recommendations, we went out on the water and were lucky enough to see dolphins and even turtles — a magical experience! If you’re looking for a quiet and authentic place to stay near Kampot, Nataya is definitely worth a visit.
Maybe the resort is a bit remote from Kampot town, but that’s also what makes it so peaceful.
I came to the resort with my two sons. It was supposed to be for one night but we ended up staying for 3night. Everything was perfect for us, the staffs were kind and kept an eye on my children while I worked and relaxed. It felt like home. The food was delicious and fresh. Khmer food for me and western food for my boys. The property is big, well kept with many trees and flowers. My boys spent their time riding the resort bicycles, playing in the sand on the beach, running around this vast property felling safe. It is 3 hours from Phnom Penh, a bit far, but it’s worth the traveling time. It is HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
Nothing!
Everything was above any expection i had. We started our morning with a beautiful boat ride and witness not 1 but more then 4 or 5 pods of dolphine.( Mostl request ) and the walk on the pier during the Sun set it will just make you take a break and just see the beauty of Mother Nature.
Nothing that i didnt like about Nataya round house Coral Bay Resort.
1. Beachfront Sunset view 2.The coastal area has many giant trees. Resort Nestled in lush greenery. 3. Room was spacious and comfortable 4. Mini buffet breakfast, limited choice but fried noodles with seafood was delicious.
1. Staff was not attentive & lack of training. Entrance staff did not open the gate when we arrived. instead of welcome the guest they first ask for $5 entrance fees. They charge the visitors for $5 per entrance. 2.No staff standby at the car park to help the guest take out the luggage . When check out also No staff to send our luggage. The very basic service of hospitality was missing here. It's a long way to walk from our room to car park. 3. When we're relax at the poolside, one maintenance worker pass-by in front of us and talk on the phone loudly and then he walking around the poolside garden making all sorts of noise. We paid for our holiday, we are here to enjoy the scenery and tranquility to relax, but our mood ended up spoiled by these nonsense people. 4. Seaside restaurant area was run down, decors and set up was funny and foods are pricey . 5. Instead of Keeping a big outdoor area with very few guests, the property was NOT a pets-friendly resort, furthermore they set a crazy rule by imposed USD$250 fine if dog enter the room. If you are not kind to animal, why dog /cat owners need to support your business ? Outside food was not allowed as well, despite the property was about 18km away from kampot town.
Quite and peaceful, feeling of nature, close to Bokor National Park, authentic round bungalows, friendly staff and environment, fine green well-maintained area with a lot of art craft things, own spacious beach, good swimming pool, tasty food in the restaurant
Need to be renovated. The sea is not for swimming. The loo in the bungalow is not enough separated from the bedroom so it’s a bit confusing… :)
Beautiful location. Staff were excellent. Food was excellent.
Some parts of the resort needs some maintenance but that didn’t worry us.
location for visiting Kampot and Bokor
restaurant is really poor
Great relaxing location with lovely staff and the rooms were clean comfortable. Great place to swim in the pool and sun your self on the beach. Really nice remote location. Perfect for a few days of chilling and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings, then this is great. Loads of space and a great pear to watch the sun rise or sun set. I loved it.
Nothing really
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nataya Resort is a wonderful place to stay near the beach. The location is perfect, with easy access to the seaside and a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. There were plenty of activities to enjoy without leaving the resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the owner was very kind and welcoming, which made the stay feel special. Overall, it was a great experience for my whole family, and I would highly recommend Nataya Resort to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing beachside stay.
I would like more of Khmer food included in the menu.
Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Well appointed rooms. Lovely setting
A little out of the way. No options for dining nearby and Kampot is a rough and ready tuktuk drive away
Lovely welcome from staff and quite
The room and the bathroom are big and very clean. It is very easy access to the sea but there is also a great pool. The garden and its many opportunities for taking pictures are very cool. I loved the swings in the sea. The restaurant has very friendly staff and serves good food. The receptionist (I wish I knew his name) is incredibly friendly and helpful. He not only greeted us with a very friendly welcome but also arranged an amazing day trip to Bokor, a pepper farm, Kep and a salt farm for us. On top, he organised the transfer to Phnom Penh Airport (TKI) for us.
It is further away from Kampot than I (in my stupid ignoramce) originally thought. This means that GetYourGuide charges extra for pick-up from the resort. Since the receptionist organised trips for us, this was not a big issue though.
Peaceful, well maintained, great staff, lots of little touches that made it better.
This place is paradise by the beach. You can take a long walk around the property or ride a bicycle. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff were friendly and courteous. I will definitely be coming back to stay again.
It is good
Perfect
The location and numerous activities.
Wonderful
Location, staff, hotel
The staff, owner and pool were amazing.
N/A
Houses are really spacious, bed is really comfortable, view on pool is also really nice.
The place is really far away from anything, there is no entertainment on place or around, there is only restaurant in hotel which is quit expensive. The beach is nice and cleaned but water in sea has brown color and smell a little and really shallow which doesn't allow to swim.
Staff was amazing and the property is really very great. Beach and swimming pool were very clean. Staff there is very professional and always helpful.
Sea view
Facilities, breakfast
The staff were all amazing, from the pool boy, the waitresses, cleaners and gardeners. The chef is absolutely fantastic. We booked 3 nights but ended up staying 8 nights. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and didn't have a bad meal in 8 days. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place, we really didn't want to leave. For a good part of our visit, we felt like the only people there. It was so relaxing after spending 2 weeks touring around Cambodia. The view from our room was amazing, infinity pool, the beach/sea and especially the sunsets. Would definitely recommend!
It's a lot of ground, which takes a lot of upkeep. The staff work hard ! It could do with a bit of TLC, cleaning the pool, but certainly didn't stop our enjoyment!
The facilities like pool, River Bridge, kayak, play area, parking, restaurant, garden area, views, Scenic Photography
Cycling was difficult,
We had an incredible stay. Nataya is a gorgeous resort in a lovely area. The photos don't do it justice! They seem to be working really hard to get the place up to a high standard. The staff are so lovely and go out of their way to make you feel at home. They were very accommodating and we felt very looked after.
Nothing to report!
I booked the hotel because of the photos showing the pool, beach and shady outdoor space. I wasn't at all disappointed and we were able to spent most of the day outdoors before heading into Kampot town. We had our own car so that wasn't a problem, I can foresee the location being an issue for anyone without their own transport. The menu was varied enough for me as a vegetarian to have some choice, and my sons enjoyed the food too.
Unfortunately there were sandflies on the beach, which i'd never seen before so I didn't realise I was getting bitten to pieces until a few hours later. Our room was also plagued by mosquitoes, even inside of the net the hotel supplied. As the bathroom was also outside our showers were both cold and quick to avoid more bites.
The hotel itself was great. Food at the restaurant was delicious - be it grilled oysters, their signature black pepper sauce, or fantastic breakfasts. What really made our stay great was the staff: from the manager to gardeners and janitors, they all were helpful, friendly and polite.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It was really far from the city and most of attractions, and the way was through quite a dusty and unpleasant neighbourhood (but the hotel itself is not dusty). However, the hotel is just near the entrance to Bokor National Park and could serve as a comfortable base for exploring it. Definitely recommend coming with your own car.
The reception staff here were amazing. Really helpful & friendly. The pool was incredible. Best pool on whole trip. This was my last destination and it's a little way to go for one day but I'm so glad I did.
The grounds was beautiful and lush but it was raining most of the time we were there so didn’t get to fully enjoy the place. The check-in process was easy and they took us to our room on their little cart.
The room is not fully enclosed so there’s always a chance of mosquitoes in the room at night, which is expected, but one side of the mosquito net had Velcro installed incorrectly so it wouldn’t remain closed. Just that little opening made it possible for mosquitoes to enter and I had a lot of bites that night.
- Location and nature are great. Seaview, trees with fruits, squirrels, cats, dogs and lizards. - Staff is nice and polite and tries to do everything to help you.
- There is no beach in the hotel, only a small swimming pool - This place needs regular maintenance, cleaning and renovation: a) A/C does not work in the GYM b) One of the pools seems not to be working for ages c) Room also needs small repair d) Cleaning and desinsection are necessary e) Shower near the pool is not working - Staff needs training. They are very nice, but many of our requests (that were not essential for us) remained unresponded
I only stayed 1 night The room,s staff and food were great
I was looking for a quiet getaway on the beach, and everything was wonderful during my stay at the Nataya Resort. There was a large variety of choices available at the onsite restaurant, and the addition of local dishes for the Khmer New Year was great. All of the meals were excellent! The one thing that really stood out for me was the onsite staff...the customer service was truly outstanding!
As with most non-main roads in Cambodia, the short trek from the main road to the resort was bumpy. Though it was worth it though once you get to the resort!
The Breakfast was great - good variety. The staff were very friendly and the hotel grounds were very neat and tidy. The pool was also a great bonus as you wouldn't swim in the ocean. Rooms were large and clean, with a nice little balcony.
The food at the restaurant was a little on the expensive side. My room door locked but didn't actually close together which allowed for a few bugs to get in.
The spot
Overall maintenance needs to improve
While the room we stay is beautiful, The facilities are very run down 😥, the toilet in the restaurant is dirty. At the price we paid for USD190, we should be able to expect very clean toilet in the restaurant area. The resort was designed well, but is very poorly maintained.
Cleanliness at the restaurant area and well maintained facilities.
Wonderful place
The breakfast was good and the foods that I order from restaurants tast good and resonable price
Bath tub behind the room were not clean many tree dush and shampoo were expired
The food at the main restaurant was so delicious, and the staff there was very kind. The bungalows also very traditional and comfortable.
The facilities are a little bit old, the property has enough space to build a bigger pool, the pool water was not so clean. But the staff is very kind, the view is amazing so we can enjoy the sunset. Very big minor for the shower being outdoors, I love the bathroom and would be much better to have an indoors shower room rather than outside.
It was good but buffet is always better. Location excellent. Service was excellent. Service with a smile always a good start to the day.
The cats and dog around. The locality may be the cause however there must be a way to stop them begging at the table or even hanging around the rooms. The other is the cars and motorbikes travelling in front of the rooms disturbs the serenity of reading a book on the verandar. A road could be cut out at the little carpark behind the rooms to avoid these cars and service motorbikes traveling in front of the rooms.
Staff were amazing so helpful and friendly. Room was lovely as were the facilities. Great food.
Spa wasn’t open which I wish we had known when we booked had to travel 30 minutes into kampot for spa treatment
I love the location of the place
i don't like when it's rainy time you cannot enjoy it and the payment you paid is not worth it. I just hope they can discount if the heavy rain comes.
The view is amazing.
Right on the ocean…private beach. Lots of nature. Nature trail, very fun family housing, beautiful pool, good food, kayaks and bikes for rent…we loved it here! So fun! Easy to find…great signage.
Very nice property outskirts Kampot city by the beautiful bay. We really enjoy in the swimming pool looking at the sunset and listening to the birds singing. Good choice of food and drinks. Down side is hungry cat and dog are walking by our dining table.
Good place with helpful and nice staff. Breakfast was ok but not the best one. All prices of food and drinks were quite higher than in other places in Cambodja and it was not allowed to bring in food or drinks from outside to the resort.
Great place - friendly staff and good food
Housekeeping was a little lax. Wi-Fi I was very weak, TV had same issues. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Dinners were excellent. It did have a great pool.
Nice place to stay. Would have been a better experience for us if it hadn't been rainy season as we couldn't enjoy the place fully. You are a long way out of kampot so if you want to do anything else be prepared to travel. Should be a nice place to spend a relaxing few days during high season though.
The resort and facilities and food excellant. The staff friendly and helpful.Local area noisy only at times. However in PP airport staff aggressive unhelpful and unfriendly which would stop us from returning even though the resort is a little piece of heaven.
Hotel is showing signs of aging, but working on it.
Swimming pool is much cleaner than last time i visited. Great place to stay and see the sunset
Good for leisure , romantic starry sky but quite a lot of mosquito during rain season
Although upmarket, this is a very nice resort, well maintained, good service, excellent mineral pool. I only stayed 1 nigh, due to a busy schedule but hope to come back again.
Check in quick and efficient. Parking easy. Bungalows tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, bathroom with double basin, inside and outside shower. The cable TV was limited to only around 5 to 7 channels and the BBC channel was too spotty to watch, so decided to watch DVD; unfortunately the DVD player did not work. The restaurant was fine. Staff were helpful. The food prices were not expensive, being the same as at restaurants elsewhere. Nice to have breakfast by the sea. The hotel has pleasant gardens but that part going to the pier is yet to be finished. The pier is nice but is unfinished with broken structures roped off including the shelters with seating. The swimming pool was lovely, next to the sea, and was constantly being cleaned. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Areas to consider
Cleanliness
7/10Multiple guests reported poor maintenance and cleanliness issues (bugs, cockroaches, rotting, broken pavers); some rooms allow insects despite nets.
Service
10/10Consistently praised: restaurant staff described as fabulous and reception/staff very helpful and friendly; staff assisted with room moves when problems arose.
Location
9.5/10Beautiful beachfront setting and semi-private grounds praised, but repeatedly noted as remote (17–25 km from town) with a rough road from the airport; tranquil rather than central.
Room Quality
8/10Rooms noted as comfortable with bungalow layout and direct beach/creek access, but several reviews cite maintenance problems (doors not locking, AC/TV issues, rotting in parts).
Amenities
9.8/10Strong amenities: infinity pool, free kayaks and bikes, extensive grounds and beach; some equipment and parts of the property reported in disrepair.
Value for Money
8/10Mixed value: many enjoyed facilities and setting, but misleading advertising (no advertised buffet, limited 'sea view') and maintenance issues reduce perceived value.
Food and Beverage
10/10Food frequently praised: breakfast described as sumptuous with good Western/Asian variety; restaurant meals well received and staff commended.
Overall Experience
9.7/10Overall largely positive for guests seeking a quiet, scenic beach resort with excellent service and amenities; however, some guests reported serious maintenance and cleanliness problems that made their stay unacceptable.
