This property was beautiful. Everything severe looking for . The hosts were awesome. Friendly and treated us like family. 5 stars all the way
Perfect in all respects…
Lovely property at the entrance to the Kingsbrae Gardens. Close to the Main Street and waterfront.
Greeted by the owner Diane and Reecie, her second in command ! Such a personal greeting - warm and inviting people. The room was super clean and had everything we needed . Breakfast was outstanding!’
Gorgeous property. Lovely breakfast. Convenient to Kingsbrae gardens KIRA amphitheatre and downtown for shopping restaurants and whale watching. Common area with books and games for a rainy day.
This is a gorgeous property. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The staff were very nice and hospitable and the breakfast was great. The room was also very nice with a comfortable bed. The internet speed in my room was sufficient but a little on the slow side.
.
What a gem! Don’t skip their breakfast!!
We loved our stay at Kingsbrae. It is a charming place, with very attentive and friendly staff. Staff was more than willing to assist me with my dietary restrictions for breakfast. We enjoyed a cozy room with a comfortable bed in the middle of a busy vacation. It felt like an English manor house. We could walk downtown and leave our car in the lot by our room. Perfect.
We very much enjoyed our stay for 2 nights in the Kingsbrea Arms Inn. The breakfast was fabulous, and the staff was wonderful. The room we had was small but comfortable but overall we felt that the price was too high for what we got.
‘Lives up to its reputation as a fine place to stay. Friendly and attentive service from all the staff members. A large, well-furnished room. An outstanding breakfast. We’ll be back!
I would recommend this in to anyone that enjoys beauty and likes to be pampered.
I wish I could give this property six stars!! From the lavish and beautifully appointed common guest areas, the immaculately clean room and bathroom, the truly outstanding breakfast which had several courses, and mimosas included, along with the kindest and most sincere hospitality...instantly making us a part of the larger family of travelers looking for AND FINDING that "perfect spot" to come off the road, and just relax and enjoy every moment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
We had a lovely time at Kingsbrae Arms. The hospitality was great and the breakfast amazing!
Breakfast was over the top. Beautiful grounds. Super personal service.
My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at Kingsbrae Arms Inn for a few days in early June. Highlights were the friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious complementary breakfast with excellent options, sherry and fresh baked goods in the afternoon, close proximity and discounted rate to Kingsbrae Gardens (just steps away and gorgeous!), free parking and walkability to Water Street. A truly special anniversary getaway!
With aching backs, we chose this property because of the hot tub they advertised. We had to cut our evening outing short to be able to use the hot tub before it was closed for the night however, when we went to get in, it was cold and would not heat up. The bed was uncomfortable, adding to the back aches and providing a poor night’s rest. The most important thing to me, other than having a comfortable bed and a hot tub was cleanliness and the room was very clean (sans 1 dirty coffee mug). The other negatives about the room were that there was no side table next to the bed to put my phone or water on (there was a night stand on one side only). I had to move a chair next to the bed (which blocked access to my clothes in the closet) to have a make shift table. We noticed the shower setup inconvenient as there was not place to set your toiletries and no towel rack to be able to reach your towel when you got out of the (small) shower. The door to the room was very sticky at the top corner and difficult to open/close…required 2 hands. Other than that, everything else in the room was fine and in good working order. On a positive note, Pamela, who greeted us upon arrival and took care of us during our stay was very helpful and accommodating. She showed us around, made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She tried to get the hot tub to work and even stayed late to allow it time to heat up however, it never did. The breakfast was huge & excellent.
Extremely well-appointed facility. Rooms were spotless. All staff very friendly. Big surprise was coffee, tea, pastries, and Port wine waiting for us in the common room at night. Every breakfast item was prepared fresh and scrumptious.
The inn was amazing to stay at. Very comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was an assortment of 3 courses. And more than we expected. The gardens are amazing and can spend all day in them.
Everything about our stay was top notch. Especially notable were the beautiful room, the hospitality and individual attention, the superb breakfast, and common areas both inside and out. They felt warm and welcoming. We also took advantage of the close proximity to Kingsbrae gardens - lovely and expansive. We most highly recommend a stay at the Kingsbrae Arms.
beautiful landscaped property, very high level of service, arrival refreshments, luxurious amenities
Quaint extremely polished… Very comfortable room… Good associated breakfast… Lovely grounds… Definitely an upper crust accommodation
Lovely B&B in a great location. Staff were lovely and friendly. Room was a bit warm at night in the summer.
Staying at Kingsbrae Arms was like visiting a mansion with lovely art and furnishings. There was no sign to direct us to the Inn. If you go, just follow directions to Kingsbrae Gardens, which are right next door.
A vert enjoyable Inn near the heart of St. Andrews. A wonderful stay with a great view of the garden. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions to local dining and sites. The room was very clean and well kept. We had a great breakfast with excellent service.
We recently stayed at th Kingsbrae Inn and where left dissapointed. For a 482$ room it was not very clean. Dirt in corners and spider webbs as well. The towels and face cloths where all stained with a blueish colour. The quality of the room was not as expected. The sitting chairs where made of fake leather that was all scratched and peeling off. The bedding was ok but they could use new pillows. We unfortunately had a vew of a garage door.. The coffee in the rooms where just from Tim Horton's. The breakfast was was pleasant but the dishes where dirty. We had lipstick stains on our glasses and the cutlery was not great. For the Name of that place and reputation, we where expecting alot more especially with the cleanliness of the room. The coffee served with the good breakfast was dissapointing. We wont be planning another visit there concidering the price and what we got.
If you’re a fan of Scottish country homes, this is your cup of tea. All we expected. Courteous, helpful staff, convenient location, wonderfully complete “cooked” breakfast included. Loved the quiet setting c
The room was elegant, well appointed and very comfortable. The woman who hosted our stay was most gracious, very helpful and made sure we were satisfied with our accommodations. The cost was high but the experience was more than worth it!
We liked everything. What made our stay so memorable was the people there. So considerate, warm and willing to ensure your stay was a wonderful experience.
The staff were great. Breakfast was amazing. Thank you.
Kingsbrae Arms is a historic property very well maintained and managed. We love the ambiance of the main house where breakfast is served and where you can simply relax with a coffee and homemade cookies.
Beautiful, comfortable facility. The employees were courteous, friendly, and took an interest. Very helpful.
Unremarkable cottage rooms - too small for a couple. Bathrooms mediocre at best with sinks rizing nearly 4 ft off the floor. Why? The manor house was nice. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The egg shoufle was cold and lacked flavor. Certainly below our expectations
Staff are excellent ( Barb and Pam) and especially next door at Kings Brae Gardens which is a separate entity BUT Taylor and Brenda were so helpful. Excellent choice
Very nice B&B. Pam greeted us and she was friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds.
We have traveled the world and this is one of a handful of places that we definitely want to return to. The main house has such a cozy, warm inviting feeling about it. Additionally no one could be more inviting or helpful than were the staff at this marvelous property. If you are stopping in St Andrews there can be only one place to stay.
The beautiful rooms, breakfast and closeness to the harbor
Quite simply one of the most fabulous places we have ever stayed, really wished we had booked to stay longer. Beautiful stylish genteel quiet B & B, breakfast simple but perfectly executed. Just don’t think of staying anywhere else on a visit to St Andrews.
Greeted at the inn by Pamela and shown all the main floor amenities. Sherry with glasses on a table in the living room. 4 kinds of homemade cookies by the coffee machine in the dining room. Stunning main rooms with a flowing garden out the back. Spacious room with king bed, seating area with fireplace and large 4 piece bath. Breakfast was included and served from 8-10 am. Homemade quiche and croissant with fresh scones, yoghurt, cheeses, cereal and toast. Breakfast was wonderful and you had the choice of eating outside in the gardens. Harry and David were the perfect hosts. You felt like a guest on your own country house. Convenient location with an easy walk to the Main Street. And right next door to the charming Kingsbrae Gardens. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful host and location. Place was beautiful. Great breakfast made for us in the morning, and was wonderful to be able to eat it outside in the courtyard.
Driving back to Massachusetts from Prince Edward Island St Andrews New Brunswick in general and Kingsbrae Cottage in particular was a welcome break. The town was quaint and perfectly situated on The Bay of Fundy. The Kingsbrae Cottage was spectacular. Old world charm and service. Well worth the visit.
The staff were amazing. Very helpful and accommodating. They truly thought of everything.
We had a lovely stay at the Cottage. Pamela went out of her way to help me when I needed a place to have a conference call. Every detail has been thought about and guests needs are anticipated. Lovely breakfast including freshly made croissants. Quiet abounds in the back gardens and the Kingsbrae gardens are literally next door.
This inn was the highlight of our trip. Elegant and comfortable, the inn and grounds were absolutely beautiful.
Amazing, great little place, next to the Gardens which are stunning
Beautiful and elegant property. Service was outstanding. Room was very clean and well furnished. Basically, it is a very well maintained manor house complete with attractive and private garden for the guests.
Stayed here twice. Both rooms had extremely comfortable beds, pillows, etc. One room (21?) had a window A/C, which was a little noisy but worked well. The other room (22) had central air which was quite & comfortable. The bathrooms were beautiful & plenty of hot water. Staff Pamela & Michelle were absolutely lovely. Have the scones at breakfast! Best I ever had. We could not leave without the recipe. And don't miss the Gardens. Really enjoyed it.
We stayed at the Kingsbrae Arms for two nights. Pamela, the Manger, was very gracious and welcoming and made sure that we were well informed and comfortable. David and Harry, the owners, were delightful! They prepared scrumptious breakfasts- what a treat! These were not your “continental” breakfasts! As an added bonus, we enjoyed the company of Winston, who engaged us in a lively game of fetch! Note to David and Harry- if you would like to give Winston to a good home, even just for a short while, please let us know! We let Pamela know that we had to leave before breakfast on the second day. Well, Harry would not hear of it, and made sure that we were served with the full breakfast and that we were also given a “travel goodie bag”, for our trip. This was a nice touch and made our experience thoroughly enjoyable! I would strongly recommend that when you stay in St. Andrews by the Sea, you give this a look- you won’t be disappointed!
Beautifully rooms throughout and done with great taste. Very comfortable bedroom with coffee maker. Lovely garden to sit in or curl up with a book in the sitting room. Home baking on hand i.e. cookies, scones and fruit whenever you wished. All in all, a very comfortable stay in delightful surroundings.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely setting next to Kingsbrae Garden.
The Kingsbrae is a lovely property that is in need of some love. It feels neglected and just plain tired.
We had a fabulous stay at the Kingsbrae! The only downside was the weather! We were looked after from the moment we arrived which was late! Breakfast was fresh fruit and baking yogurt and eggs. The grounds were immaculate! We had a spa room which was very spacious with a living room area and king bed!
Right beside Kingsbrse Gardens - separate admission, but worth it - and having their own. Older heritage home very well kept up, wonderful staff, great breakfast, truly helpful.
Peaceful, enjoyable, & restful stay. Within walking distance of downtown. Enjoyed breakfast outside on the lawn.
The staff was so very welcoming and attended to our every need. The grounds are lovely and our room was comfortable and quiet. Jeff made us cocktails in the evening! The breakfast was delicious-baked eggs, strawberry mousse and warm croissants and scones. We enjoyed St. Andrews and would like to return someday.
We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. Nice!
My wife and I book this hotel as a splurge for the triathlon weekend this year. We did not want to stay at 'triathlete central', and were very please at how quite the location was, and still being so close to everything. The staff were wonderful and attentive, and the 'cottage' was gorgeous. The grounds were very nice to have breakfast outside.
