Recent updates and upgrades are evident and there is no lack of love regarding the care that goes into to it.

Despite the recent upgrades: the rooms lack personality, towels and basic lodging necessities.

Location was amazing.

There is Nothing to like in that hotel, except is near the sea

Everything. The hotel is terrible in every respect. The furnishings and facilities are cheap, outdated and poorly maintained, the décor is extremely unattractive, and the whole property feels neglected. The town itself is also very run-down. I would not recommend staying here. In my opinion, by European standards, this hotel would merit no more than a one-star rating.

Nice, clean rooms, small balcony. Room size was nice also for 2 people. Great view over the beach from the terrace downstairs next to the pool - but this is not a swimming beach, no direct beach access. Renting a car is advisable for this area - there is free hotel parking.

Not many outlets/hard to reach outlets. Rarely saw any staff and the number they left to text with questions didn’t get back to me until the next day after we checked out.

Could not have asked for more .... nice deck / sitting area overlooking the water .. location close to everything. The most helpful and friendly staff anyone could ask for .

I loved the ocean front aspect of it.

This is a 2 star hotel. It doesn't claim to be fancy or have a ton of amenities. What it does have is an incredible ocean-front (different than beach-front) view and a great location to several eastern Puerto Rico attractions. The facts: It is small, maybe 20 rooms? The rooms are simply decorated. The atmosphere is very casual. The front desk is not always staffed. Adults only. Pool is open 24/7, deepest at 5 feet. I'd describe the place as broken-in and a little gritty. If you like new and shiny, this is probably not the place for you. Personally I would have liked the housekeeping to have been a little better. But if you value casual and quiet you will be satisfied here. The back deck is the best feature. It is open 24/7. It is covered to protect from rain/sun and has plenty of seating. You can bring in your own food and drink and stay and enjoy the ocean rolling in for as long as you like. Or if you want solitude you could sit and read a book. Coffee at the deck in the morning but food is not served. Location is about 45 minutes east of San Juan, 10 minutes from Luquillo Beach and the Kioskos, a row of local restaurants adjacent to the beach. 15 minutes to El Yunque and maybe 40 minutes to the ferry that takes people to Culebra and Viequez islands (Viequez has bio-bay tours). The staff is gracious. If you need a pool towel, ask. If you need more coffee on he back deck, ask. But don't expect someone to be there all the time to wait on you. Again, aspects of this hotel are worn. If that bothers you, you might be happier elsewhere. But if you value quiet, casual and an AWESOME ocean view and would rather spend your money on doing stuff than sitting in a fancy hotel room, I'd recommend the Selva as a place to stay.

Basic rooms but very clean. Perfect location, right on the water. Only 10 min walk to beach and kiosks. About 15 min drive to el Yunque. 40 min drive to bioluminescent bay at Fajado. The pool is lovely. Free parking. Nice staff

The view from the room was ok but the view from the back was outstanding. The staff was quick to respond. Paid for a 1PM check out and glad we did so we could relax from traveling.

The hotel is walking distant to the beach. Restaurants and gift shops are walking distant, too. We enjoyed the pool, sitting on the oatio listening to the ocean.

There wasnt much offered for breakfast- dried cereal, biscuits. Coffee was very good!

Excellent location right on the beach and close to restaurants and shops. Rooms are nice. Coffee is available every morning. There’s also free parking!

Deixou a desejar o serviço de recepcão algumas vezes não havia empregados para atender. O estacionamento necessita ser msis iluminado no periodo da noite. As portas de atras e de frente não tinham tranca e uma noite chegamos 01:00 da madrugada e não havia ninguém para nos atender de forma emergencial.

This hotel was gorgeous and had a great pool and good location. I really enjoyed sitting on the stools overlooking the ocean, it felt like I was sitting on the waves. My friend and I had to finish some grad school work and the employees allowed us to stay on the property until 1pm working even though checkout was 10am, we just had to have our stuff out of the room. The pool is 24 hours as well and the balcony wasn't facing the beach yet we had a good view of the ocean still.

The breakfast was weak but it was free and was technically only supposed to be snacks so it overall met my expectations. The snack fridge in the lobby was almost empty though.

The room was very comfortable, the shower was great and we really liked the pool. The staff were very kind and lovely too.

I was slightly disappointed that we couldn’t directly access the beach from the property, but it was only a short walk to get to the beach

BEWARE !! Upon arriving was told water wasn't working! Also NO ONE at the front desk, had to CALL THE hotel on my cell. Was in the room maybe 10 min, decided not to stay. The owner told me I could receive a PARTIAL REFUND. The pics of the ROOMS ARE NOT WHAT IS SHOWN on the internet. By the way, THERE was NO REFUND.

Hotel was so cute, we loved it and wish we could stay more than one night. Outdoor seating area looking out over the water is perfect.

Absolutely beautiful Stay here. Loved the staff, they were phenomenal!! Having the pets there would be amazing, they have a cat and dog on staff, love Selva and Wepita! The staff was so helpful and have many great recommendations for places to go and dining options. The view from the room was perfect, and the ocean waves lulled us to sleep every night. We will definitely be going back here. Wonderful vacation spot.

This is a great intimate hotel and distance of the rainforest, the beach and the Oso popular huts which has several shopping and food experiences This will definitely be a stay for us when we return The owner heard about our anniversary and surprised us with a bottle of champagne the next morning for brunch!

The suite was great and very comfortable; exactly what we needed for our trip. We enjoyed the quaintness of the property. What we truly loved the most was the sounds of the ocean waves slapping against the rocks, it was the highlight of our stay.

The hotel faces the ocean. Although you cannot enter the beach from there it is about 1/2 mile walk to get to the beach area or less than 5mins by car. It is a beautiful view and the hotel has a nice sitting area under a porch to just appreciate the ocean. The pool is a nice addition that many small hotels in the area do not offer. Coffee and cereal and snacks are offered in the morning. Very cute and nice bed and breakfast style hotel.

Nothing much - it would be helpful to have pool/beach towels to have instead of room bath towels.

Como su nombre dice Ocean Front pensé que tenía acceso a la playa, efectivamente está frente al oceáno, tiene vista al oceáno, pero no hay acceso por un muro de rocas, para acceder a la playa mas cercana hay que caminar varias cuadras.

Ocean Front and walk to the beach. What a gem and value! Near the famous Kiosko, El Yunque rain forest, nearby horseback riding, jetskis. The area has everything. This is a beautiful small hotel and a nice change from the cghir hotels. There is a weekend bar right on the water with a million dollar view. Delicious Pina Colada's and some local bites. Its adults only which is nice. Really a very charming experience and highy recommend. Staff is amazing.
