Boxpackers Pratunam

Location was in the heart of bangkok

Elevator a bit slow

Staff is very nice and friendly, location is also good for stay

Only one thing the elevator is out of service, which make every day climb many times for staircase, It makes us inconvenience and tired.

Great location, Convenient to pratunam market, 7-11 just beside

Lift is slow

Friendly staff, good location, clean rooms, the cafés downstairs were pretty nice as well

For us it was a bit weird not having a separation (like a door) between the bathroom and the main room, although we think it may be a cultural thing

Vị trí tốt, gần BigC, central world, gần ga tàu ARL.

Room is big and good for 6pax.

The lift is too small for family of 6

I really appreciate how clean and organized the rooms are. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from shopping areas. Downstairs, there's a charming bakery that offers a delightful selection of pastries, which are simply irresistible. Additionally, several massage places are conveniently located nearby. I also love that there's a 7-11 just around the corner for any quick necessities.

None

We had 3 double beds in our room which was great! Spacious room.

Woken up by construction work going on behind our wall which was so noisy. Also you had to check in at the cafe which wasn’t obvious.

Great location. Walking distance to most basic needs such as convenience store, restaurant, mall and alike.

We expected a 24-hr reception. Apparently when we arrived around 5am there was no one who assisted us. Lights are all off, doors are locked and no staff was present. The telephone number provided by the property in Booking.com is not working. Sent a request for an early check-in a week before arrival but no response. The receptionist said that Booking.com is at fault since they have no control whatsoever. Check-in is done in the establishment across Boxpackers Pratunam which is a bit confusing. After sales customer service is poor this is based on my personal experience.

Location good

All good

We booked the Family Room that comes with 2 queen size beds and 1 king sized bed. The mattress is good and firm and pillows are comfortable. Separate toilet and shower is a bonus to reduce waiting time. Appreciate their daily housekeeping service and also topping up our water supply!! Location is superb. Close walking distance to the shopping malls, marketplace, 7-eleven and massage place.

For light sleepers, maybe need to bring along ear plugs, as the noise of traffic is very loud especially those speeding tuk-tuks! The noise last till late, past midnight. During our stay, unfortunately the building next door is undergoing renovations, so we also have to bear with the drilling noises from early morning, which is very loud as it's only separated by one wall.

Walking distance to 7e, platinum shopping mall.. Have many massage places nearby.. Have bidet n good shower.. Lots of sockets n have adapters.. Very clean is a one good point

There's a renovation downstairs during daytime..

No mirror… we have to share mirror … need extra mirror like wall long mirror to look ourself at mirror. And no hanging towel…

non-busy neighborhood.

far from the metro station (800-900 meters)

Location and services

Bathroom n toilet

clean, roomy, the amenities is nice , private access,

the lift is slow

Great location

Slow elevator

very nice location

nice place! clean and comfortable, aircond is cold! and they provide power extension! their service is so good! people is nice also! location nearby a lot of massage shop, and 7-11, very convenient

one thing is that the shower water is quite cold, and cannot get hot even i wait for very long time.

A best place to stay for a females solo traveler. Good location, safe security, friendly staffs, and clean rooms. Especially if you still have feeble hours before your departure time and you want to go for a shopping first, you can store your luggages at the check-in desk even after you check out. 9/10 for the boxpackers hostel. keep up your good work.

Hostel is clean and near to markets. Staff are nice. Would definitely recommend

Very friendly staff. Great location. Rooms and showers are clean however sheets and towels have some stains (clearly has been washed just not replaced). Boxes provide more privacy than the avg hostel.

Great hostel in a good non-touristy part of the city. The bed, room, and bathroom were all clean and comfortable. My only issue was that the AC want working too well and it was extremely humid in the room, so humid that my mattress felt moist when I first got there. It felt cooler and less humid in the common areas without AC.

The description of the hostel is not very accurate. The public space is more limited than stated, and not used very well so is therefore empty and you can't be very social. Premises is split over 2 sites across a small (quiet) road. You have to leave your rucksack in a locker on the ground floor as the stairs are too tight to carry it to your room. The A/C is not on all the time, only at allocated times. a large deposit (B500) is required for the key, which you get back just as you are leaving (and if you're leaving the country it's no use to get that cash then). The boxes are very spacious, but there are much better hostels in Bangkok.

Hostel is clean, however you have to request a night before for your bed linens to be changed. Breakfast is really nice although limited choices. Room is safe with security locks in every room and also entrance of hostel. Toilet is clean however our toilet's shower do not have hot water so it's a point to take note.

Excellent facilities and location. the staff was helpful. It made me want to extend my stay

Nice and clean hostel, break was good for the price they charge. There is a set breakfast menu (with multiple options), in addition to regular toast and cereal, fruits and salad. Good wifi connection throughout the day and night. café is open till late, can grab snack/coffee anytime.

My room had no windows, but besides that I had a good stay. The hostel is easy to reach from the airport via sky train. Breakfast was not as good as expected, but still okay. Rooms were very clean.

Good n great place. Clean comfy n cozy. Near platinum mall. Easy to access bts train. Good to be staying here is group. Nice friendly helpful staffs. I like their breakfast nvr have enough of their eggs :)

Excellent! Great location!

Khách sạn phòng ốc sạch sẽ , nhân viên thân thiện, tuy máy lạnh chỉ phục vụ từ 5pm-11am, hơi bất tiện

private space in dormitory, bravo. nice breakfast.

Have my great solo trip in bangkok with staying in "Boxpackers". Staff is 24 hrs services, walking distance to central & polite. Walking distance to shopping mall, near to night market & train station. Breakfast is good, room is clean, the only thing to comment is shower heater hard to control. Feel happy to know new friends in boxpackers. It make my trip become more interesting & have lots fun with them. Definitely will come again for next bangkok trip. Surely i will recommend it & share my experience with my friends.

nothing to complain about, everything was as expected of a hostel.

Everything is so good for backpackers!

The personal space though small is pretty personal and private, to me at least. I only spent a night there, I was quite conscious about myself snoring and disturbing others, so I didn't sleep very well, but that might be due to me not getting used to the place yet as well. I noticed a female solo traveller as well who seems pretty comfortable to be staying in a mixed dorm. breakfast is your normal fare, nothing to shout about. anyway, pratunam market is just a stone throw away. The location is definitely the plus to stay here. 10-15 mins from airport rail, bts, platinum malls etc..

its quite close to the downtown Bangkok! Only 10 mins walk!

Brilliant, stayed an extra week.

I flew to Bangkok planning to head straight out South, I came a across this chic hostel, booked a night, but stayed to, upgraded the second night from a pod to a double room, I'm greedy like that! The pods are a brilliant idea, I've now stayed in many places in Bangkok and to be honest this has been the best of a good lot by far. I'm planning to return and stay when I head north again to go to Chang Mai, I'm sure I'll be staying again on my return to Bangkok for the journey home! Love Bangkok, love Thailand and love the Pod hostel!!!

clean and comfort

I spent my last five nights in Bangkok at Boxpackers in January 2015 The staff here are lovely and very helpful. The facilities are v good for backpacker style accommodation. My lil box was lovely, I had a window view, my locker was handy and under my bed, the mattress and pillow were sooo comfy, close to showers & toilets, it was quiet and there was aircon and a fan. Yay for Free breakfast, I was a bit over eating a cooked breakfast by then so loaded up on coffee and had toast or fruit (with a bit of yoghurt I bought from the 7 eleven). Great location to 7 eleven (2mins walk), BTS (8mins), klong/canal ferry (15mins), night street markets & food was put back on my bed instead of having to collect it.(5mins), dentists & optometrists (5mins), about four malls (12mins). Boxpackers even did my laundry for 100baht - cheapest in Thailand, although admittedly they didn't fold it but it was returned to my 'box' when done. Enjoyed finishing a long day tripping around with a cold Chang and free wifi at 'Period' café which is connected to Boxpackers, perfect for sending emails home and writing travel reviews. The wifi is fast and works everywhere in the Boxpackers and Period buildings. You have to pay 500baht deposit for the key, which is OK coz that was my taxi money to the airport!!

Stayed here for a night, and it was a pleasant stay. Staff will try to allow for early check in if possible, but that is subject to availability (as any traveller should know). There are several lounge areas to hang out at, and the beds and bathroom facilities are pretty decent. They have a locker just by your beds for storage of backpacks, and maybe small to medium (?) sized luggages. Breakfast was normal for a hostel: they offer a choice of 4 set menus with a mix of eggs, sausages and rice dishes, on top of a small toast, cereal, salad, juice, milk, coffee buffet. Location wise the area is pretty accessible. I walk to and fro the BTS all the time, but I travel light. Shouldn't cost that much for a tuk tuk/taxi if you have luggage though. The hostel provides easy access to the Pratanum area for shopping (if that's your thing). Arunda massage just down the street gives a decent massage if you're tired after all that shopping.

Excellent! But a pity the shower heater comes on and off. Rooms are nicely done up, just that when new backpackers come in, the sounds from the lockers and their actions are very loud and it disrupts my sleep. But overall, such cozy hostel!

Clean room, breakfast for muslim only bread, 5 minutes from Main Street, 15 minutes from bts, there is no elevator you should using stairs to level 4

So good hostel, good breakfast, nice staffs, if you need stay your luggage for go to other trip you can. Have pool and cold water. Air conditioned and fans. If you need everything ask Krit. He help you.

The hostel location is the biggest selling point. It's walkable to the skyrail link for the airport, walkable to the major malls (pantip plaza, diamond fashion, palladium...). Super clean rooms and showers. Each "box" has a draw curtain, plug point, night light and a reading light. This place had the most privacy of all the hostels I've stayed in. Only thing that could've been better was the AC / air vents. There are no individual fans, and the AC is set to about 27-28C. I get hot when sleeping, so was a lil uncomfortable at times.

Facilities: Basic, no elevator; Value: Economical; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: Pleasant;

Simple, clean & good.

This place is brand-new and very safe. Locks on every door, secure lockers, private cubicles, a great lounge, delicious breakfasts, helpful staff, and quite quiet at night. Close to the Baiyoke Sky Hotel and the Ratchathewi metro station. Great value for the price, highly recommended!

Boxpackers is situated near many shopping malls that are easily accessible by walking. The nearest BTS is less than a 10-minute walk. Hotel staff are friendly and very willing to help. Get to make new friends living in the same dormitory, or at the cafe during breakfast.

I wanted a budget accommodation with a bit of privacy in a modern spot. I was lucky to have a pad with a window which made all the difference. The room itself also had windows, something to request if you get depressed otherwise. The boxes are as illustrated and arriving is pretty painless. They will ask for a $500 B deposit for the key that opens multiple electronic doorways, there is a skinny lift for luggage but mine didn't fit, so it was 3 flights up stairs. When breakfast is included there is a choice of 4 dishes plus a buffet of white toast, juice, tea and coffee. The installations are pretty modern and inviting, though they won't turn the AC till 6pm and some of the common areas will be hot as hell! Overall a good and comfy experience in the Siam Square area, the sky train is only a short walk from the location which is a blessing. Avoiding the hardcore Bangkok traffic is a must, specially any route near the railway crossing. DO NOT take the bus or a taxi to the Airport or Train station, you must likely won't make it!

I fell in love with the hostel right away! The feel is really comfortable and the design is really cute! I love the facilities! I just felt that the staff is not that welcoming & friendly but it fine.. Also they turn the aircondition off midday. I dont like that.. I love their breakfast!
