Best Western Plus Makassar Beach

The hotel is located not far from where the hustle and bustle is about. Very nice location. Rooms are quite big and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is top notch.

Although the room is big and beds are comfy, it feels old and starts to smell like old interior.

Clean and comfortable hotel with courteous and helpful staff. About 30 minutes from the airport and conveniently located close to the city centre. The breakfast was nice with a good selection. A pleasant stay and a good choice for a short visit.

La restauration est proche de la catastrophe. Par rapport au menu proposé, un choix très réduit mais surtout une information difficile à obtenir ! Le délai était aussi long que le choix était réduit !

We mochten zonder extra kosten al vroeg inchecken. Fijn na een lange reis. Het bed lag heerlijk.

We ontbeten om 09 00. Er waren wat hongerige gasten voor ons geweest waardoor de keuze wat beperkt was.

Chambre sale, odeur inconfortable, vieillot… pas comme sur les photos…

Après un petit cafouillage à l'arrivée (notre chambre, qui devait être disponible dès 14 heures, ne l'a été qu'à 18 h. 30) tout s'est très bien passé. Personnel aimable et efficace, bon confort moderne (mais déco un peu passée de mode), petit déjeuner très complet, avec des fruits frais (pas si fréquent en Indonésie), Un bémol : le descriptif dans Booking parle de navette aéroport. En réalité il faut commander un taxi. Ignorant ce détail, et après avoir réservé la chambre, j'ai contacté l'hôtel à plusieurs reprises pour recourir à ce service. Personne ne m'a jamais répondu...

Dirty and old furnitures in Deluxe room. The whole hotel stunk of some chemicals. Dirty, uvacuumed hallway. It's seems like a lot of breakfast food, but not good. Poor and old gym.

Les enfants qui courent dans les couloirs en jouant comme dans une cours d'école. Heureusement ce n'a eu lieu que le lundi matin.

Vriendelijk personeel en het ontbijt buffet bood voldoende opties. Comfortable kamer met comfortabele bedden.

Het zwembad ligt aan de schaduwkant van het gebouw, waardoor het behoorlijk fris is. De receptie is alleen te bereiken via 2 kleine liften vanuit een kleine hal, zonder trap. Als er een groep is of als er veel mensen tegelijk arriveren of vertrekken, sta je dus een zeer lange tijd te wachten, samen geperst tussen allemaal mensen met bagage.

Everything was good. The pool area always has a nice breeze and you can watch sunset.

Our room had a leak in the bathroom which mad Ed it smell mushy but otherwise it was ok.

La chambre est nickel et le personnel est vraiment à l écoute. Le receptionniste m'a aidée en me donnant des conseils pertinents. Sans lui, je ne m'en serais pas aussi bien sortie compte tenu de mon manque de préparation. Par ailleurs l hôtel est très bien situé dans la ville de Makassar.

L attente pour le dîner au restaurant à été si longue que j ai cru qu'ils avaient étés à la ferme chercher le poulet du chiken Burger !

Location, nice swimming pool area on the 3rd floor where you can not only swim but just sit and relax at the table after a busy day. Strong WiFi, very good breakfasts and comfy beds. Friendly and helpful staff.

Couldn't get even warm water in the bathroom sink (although it was reasonably hot in the shower). Not really comfortable to shave(

Good location, very friendly personell and manager is almost 'superman', helped us with everything we needed. Definitely reccomend 🙂

Very friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent. Good location handy to all things we wanted including good restaurants. We have stayed here before and would again.

The location is quite good and tucked at one end of the road near to roundabout. Close proximity to shopping malls.

the checkin was super easy and smooth.. front desk clerk came and opened the door upon arrival, big smile on his face and from then on i had a new friend in Makassar.. any questions i just asked him and not only did he answer them but would tell me better way or place than what i was thinking.. the food in the restaurant as well as the service was perfect.Coto Makassar huge sreving and just ENAK..

I enjoyed my stay. It was clean and had a very nice breakfast buffet. There were coffee shops and other eating options nearby. The wifi worked well. It's an older hotel, but everything seemed to work fine.

The hotel is of a very good standard and rooms are of the quality you would expect. I arrived late at night and was quickly processed through reception. A good range of channels on the tv, adequate wifi, and a very nice bathroom.

Food and beverages were not available after 11pm. Hotel grounds are non-existent, this property is just a building. Quite a distance (30mins) from the airport.

Information is key to relationships. If you had shared information I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this scathing review! We got to the hotel just after 5. They had obviously over booked and when we were finally given keys to the rooms on the 8th floor we went up to find that the rooms hadn’t finished being cleaned and they were smoking rooms. 801 smelt like the smoking lounge at any airport. On going downstairs I was told by the female manager on duty, that non-smoking rooms were subject to availability. Pardon? Talk about a red flag to a bull. I had booked non smoking and as far as I am concerned if you have a separate category for it and I book it, you had better have one. Or in our case, two. Exasperated with the ineffectual registration staff who now hid in the glow of their computer screens and with no non smoking rooms currently available, still wearing clothes we had traveled all day in, we concierged our baggage and headed into the now dark streets to resurrect something of the lost evening. 1.5 hours gone. We were late arriving at the hotel and our rooms should have been ready. We were not able to freshen up. The idea of watching a sunset at the Harbour taken from us. No apologies given. In fact they seemed it was their job to make it our fault. At this hotel, money seems to matter more than souls. Shame on you Best Western Plus Makassa

Very central, easy airport access, clean and above all very efficient, helpful and friendly staff.

Bit of a language barrier which can be confusing but overall nice place to stay manger wasn't there at different hotel ??? Needs addressing but the restaurant manger was outstanding thank you very much for making our stay so welcoming..

Old hotel, deteriorated, location ok. Only Asian food at buffet breakfast.

I was given a high-floor corner room with huge windows on two sides and view of sunset plus sunrise, the room is decorated in a classy 1990s and early 2000s style which I like very much. Food from room service was good and not expensive. Buffet breakfast quite nice; pool quite small but rather nice too. Their "taxi" (car with driver) service for the airport costs 160,000 which I think is a bit expensive, but considering the convenience, it's acceptable. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel would have been so much better if the noise and disturbances from the neighbours can be eliminated. However, we all know that this happens occasionally and its resolution would just make everything perfect.

Friendly helpful staff who gave us excellent service. Hotel is quite new and in good condition. Rooms are spacious, breakfasts offer great variety, but pool and lobby areas quite small.

This is a standard business hotel, good sized, clean rooms with an excellent (for Sullawesi) breakfast buffet. The pool is small, & at the time we visited, full of kids, so not a relaxing place. Check the prices of items in the mini bar & hotel bar. These were by far the most expensive we found in Indenesia. Staff very friendly & helpful
