The ocean view is amazing.

But the hotel is old and not looked after well. Lots of broken things in the room. Beds are too hard. Service tended to be slow.

Booking non-smooking but available smooking room. Promise to clean up & sterilize but not coming

The poor breakfast (toaster broken down, charging 40 IRP -more than 2€- for an espresso at breakfast...), old and worn out towels in the bath room, no reading lights in bed, occasional long waits to take the lift (one of the three elevators was broken down).

If you want a hotel that's in the city and close to good restos, then this is the hotel for you. Room was spacious. My friends and I asked specifically for 2 connecting rooms with great view. And yes, we did have amazing view of the ocean! One minus point was that when we arrived, the door that connected our rooms were not opened (we arrived after dinner!) and it took them almost an hour to open the door. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast. Anyway, the hotel is in walking distance from good restaurants, Fort Rotterdam & several museums and of course, pantai Losari boardwalk. Very convenient.

Das Hotel feiert in diesem Jahr das 10-Jährige. Teilweise wirkt es etwas älter. Die Zimmer könnten renoviert werden und die Bettwäsche sollte auch erneuert werden. Dennoch gehobener indonesicher Standard.

The location was perfect, because very near our event venue.

The dampness of the pillows, even though slightly, I still have to cover them with the towel.

I expected a decent experience from a hotel of this standard, but sadly that’s not what I got. The room is spacious and the service has been great, but the cleanliness is highly questionable. I arrived to find a bedcover that smelled unpleasant, as if it hadn’t been changed in a very long time. I’ve already called housekeeping to replace the sheets and bedding, but I’m still waiting. Extremely disappointed.

Het personeel is enorm gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

De kamers hadden gebreken zoals niet functioneerde airco en kapotte minibar. Kregen snel een upgrade van de zeer vriendelijke office manager echter had die kamer ook gebreken zoals kapotte raambekleding, lekkage in de wc, bevlekte beddengoed. Het hotel toont hier en daar slijtage en slecht onderhoud. Vooral het tapijt in de kamers zijn versleten of hebben veel vlekken. Veel van de versier marmer bij de liften zijn afgebrokkeld. Vaak zijn gerechten op het menu van het restaurant niet meer te bestellen omdat deze op waren. Ik hoop dat het hotel de gebreken snel oplost want het is nog steeds een fijn hotel om te verblijven maar het management moet wel het achterstallig onderhoud aanpakken..

Die Bar war an Ostern geschlossen. Das Hotel kommt langsam in die Jahre und eine Renovierung sollte man ins Auge fassen

Good standard of room. TV channels all worked.

Queueing for 45 minutes to check in. It was not just about the number of people - the system they were using is super slow. Aircon in the room was quite weak.

Originally when i booked the room i booked a smoking room(partner an outdoor smoker) thinking it would have a balcony like we did before covid. They no longer have balconies so the smoking rooms are quite disgusting as in there is no ventilation and i felt i needed to vomit after 10 mins from the smell. However no problem for them to move us to a non smoking room which was clean and fresh

The location is perfect to go around Makassar. Close to the harbour, the fish market, the museum La Galigo and other interesting places

The furniture and general decoration is a bit run down and out of fashion

The view on the seaside is splendid. The lokation when you want to explore Makassar is perfect. Food is delicious. And the staff is very helpfull and friendly.

I stayed at this hotel during an international conference where I was invited as a keynote speaker. Prior to arrival, I had reserved a sea-view room through Booking.com and informed the conference management accordingly. Unfortunately, an additional reservation was made for me by the organizers, resulting in a duplicate booking. While I was already in transit, I contacted the hotel to request cancellation of one of the reservations. I was informed that the cancellation was being processed. However, upon arrival, I was told that no changes could be made due to Booking.com policies, and I was advised to wait for further updates regarding the conference booking. Later, I was informed that I needed to pay for the first night of the unused reservation, despite having notified them well in advance. This delay in communication resulted in an unnecessary charge for the same night twice. Additionally, although I specifically booked and paid for a sea-view room, the room provided did not have the view that was promised. This was disappointing, especially after a long journey. The breakfast selection also did not meet the expectations for international guests, with limited variety and options. Overall, the lack of timely communication, failure to honour the room request, and inflexibility in resolving the booking issue made the experience far below the expected standard. I hope the management reviews these concerns seriously to improve guest experience in the future.

In eerste instantie hadden ze voor mij een rokers kamer gereserveerd terwijl ik had aangegeven een niet rokers kamer te willen. Na veel gedoe en lang wachten zou ik alleen de eerste nacht in die kamer hoeven te blijven en daarna een niet rokers kamer krijgen. De eerste kamer was beneden peil. Slecht uitzicht en veel lawaai en ondanks blijkbaar een extra schoonmaak beurt nog steeds vooral aan de gordijnen te ruiken dat het een rokers kamer was. De tweede en derde nacht kreeg ik een betere kamer.

Perfect location!

I am a bit upset as I requested for the top floor for my children. The receptionist agreed. So l left the children there waiting until the check in time and when I got back to the hotel in the evening they ended up getting rooms at the 5th and 11th floor.

It’s ideally located at the waterfront and close to Fort Rotterdam. The staff is making sure that your stay is comfortable as possible

As there are many conferences going on (4 during my stay) check-ins and outs could be challenging when a big group arrives or departure. I was lucky to just hit a lull between different groups

Die Lage des Hotels ist in Flughafennähe. Der Transfer dahin wird auf Anfrage vom Hotelpersonal organisiert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie versuchen bei Problemen sofort, soweit es Ihnen möglich ist, zu helfen. Da wir auf unserer Heimreise nur einen kurzen Zwischenstopp eingelegt haben, sind wir abends nicht mehr ausgegangen. Wir haben uns das Essen aufs Zimmer kommen lassen. Das Angebot ist ausreichen und das Essen sehr gut.

Wir waren in einem Nichtraucherzimmer im 19. Stockwerk untergebracht. Leider fing pünktlich um 21.00 Uhr eine Veranstaltung mit Livekonzert in der Bar im Stockwerk darüber an. Diese endete erst um 2.00 Uhr nachts. Was für eine Geräuschkulisse!! Wir konnten glücklicherweise in das 8. Stockwerk umziehen. Leider war dieses Zimmer zwar genauso schön wie das vorhergehende, leider aber ein Raucherzimmer. Für Nichtraucher eine Herausforderung.

Breakfast was excellent. A good range of foods, with some great local options.

The furniture was looking very tired in the rooms and our sink was blocked. Quickly fixed by the maintenance staff.

The location is a bit far from the tourist spots, but it’s perfect for first-time visitors. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay so wonderful, especially the trainee staff, Antonia and Anita😍

A nice hotel overlooking the ocean and great views to the city or the sea depending on what you like. Great rooftop bar with a band playing every night and a fabulous pool to cool off with ocean views. A nice hotel to begin or end a Sulawesi trip and very central if you're travelling for holidays. A lovely breakfast spread.

My floor was extremely noisy and I was booked next to a family room despite clearly stating I was travelling for business. Please be aware that the hotel room walls are not sound proofed and the room doors bang extremely loudly on every room and this echos loudly down the halls. This was clearly a family holiday hotel - it was full of families and groups of families travelling together on holidays, with children constantly allowed to roam the halls, make noise, bang doors etc well until midnight. I requested a change in room after the first night but was informed the noisy family next door was leaving that day - but only to be replaced by another family! I was travelling for business and had expected a four star hotel to consider this when booking a lone traveller on a floor full of families with small children. It was chaos. Only on my final night did I get a decent night's sleep.

I like the convenient access and location was close to everything l need.

The hallways smell of cigarette smoke,even though this is a non smoking area . It’s very uncomfortable.

J'ai trouvé cet hébergement cher par rapport à la prestation ( en tenant compte des prix pratiqués dans d'autres établissements ) J'avais réservé une chambre non fumeurs trois semaines avant l'arrivée et j'ai eu un chambre fumeurs. Malgré le déo, on sentait la cigarette, odeur que je déteste. Impossible de changer de chambre :-(. voisins très bruyants à côté. Bref, pour 58e on peut trouver beaucoup mieux à sulawesi

I want to warn people to avoid, avoid, avoid the restaurant. It is easily the worst place to eat in all of Makassar. It's as bad as the nastiest diner in America. It is as bad as the worst place you've eaten in any airport. It is as bad as a high school cafeteria or bus station "food." Yes, that bad. Super slow, super late, it took over an hour for our food to arrive. But the American tourists got their food in 20 minutes. The food itself, some of it was super salty. Other food was super bland. How could any place in Indonesia get noodles and rice so wrong? Even the milk shakes, they were over half ice. It's also the most expensive place we ate in all of Indonesia. That wouldn't be bad if the food were good, but it clearly isn't. The hotel restaurant brought down the rating, but the rest of the hotel is rather nice. Nice rooms with a beautiful view of the harbor and island. Nice location. Just whatever you do, eat anyplace else!

Booked for 2 kids 2 adults and the put the 2 rooms 11 floors apart ! Elevator system is a joke and also had rooms next to elevators that were loud and had minimal sleep

The location is great and close to the airport and plenty of restaurants. The bar is very nicely done out but very expensive!

In all our years of travelling we have never had to ask to come and change the bed linen! The sheets and cover were covered in stains of food, totally unacceptable! The hose in the bathroom was also leaking.

Noisey at night. Downstairs has a disco next door. Goes till 3am. We had a room facing the city. Would be better if it was a seaward facing room.

SBEC Member Benefits are NOT applicable for this hotel. It's better to stay in Swiss Belinn and Swiss Belcourt, or other hotel chains while in Makassar City, South Sulawesi.

The pool!! It was super clean, a wonderful, unusually large size (30m?) overlooking the city. Breakfast was very good.

Very expensive for where it is. Be careful ordering soft drinks and food there, as they add all sorts of taxes on without mentioning it. The room was fine, but really quite a box and really not worth the money. Unless… you need a swim.

This is a comfy hotel with great views on both sides, kind staff, great breakfast and a pleasant rooftop bar. The friendly staff were happy to speak as much English as possible, and this was a pleasant place to relax and spend time, with good sized rooms. It was possible to walk down into the centre, and there are cafes and restaurants nearby. Overall, a lovely place to stay if you want calm and comfort - and the price was fairly reasonable too.

There were no real problems - just be prepared to check that your room really is non-smoking; my first option smelled intensely of the last person's smoke. But the staff kindly moved me immediately.

The hotel room was big and the bed comfortable. About the part that I didn't like, two points to mention. There was no soup and tissue on the lobby restrooms ( I went in two consecutive days in the morning around 9 pm). They had three umbrellas to borrow and the three of them were broken. Even if they were broken they stored them at the entrance and didn't throw it away.
