Unser Balkon endete am Zaun des Krugers. Wir haben beim Essen Besuch von Elefanten, Nilpferden und Wasserböcken. Die Unterkunft war für uns ein absoluter Traum.

Tranquil property just outside the national park boundaries. Room had a rustic-modern style, very spacious and comfortable. Nice balcony with partial views of the river.

If you are not cooking yourself, the restaurant has a somewhat exxy fixed priced menu for dinner and there are no other shops or restaurants very near by (need to go to town). The food was very average, the meat very very fatty and almost not eatable.

Tout était exceptionnel, le meilleur logement que nous ayons eu. Nous avons adoré la décoration du logement, la vue sur la rivière, le bruit des hippos la nuit, la magnifique piscine.

Geen ontbijt bij overnachting Douche was koud en vies Klamboe op het balkon was kapot, we hadden deze overnachting speciaal geboekt voor deze experience. Helaas was dit dus niet gelukt en moesten we allemaal binnen slapen.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut und nah zum Gate des Kruger gelegen, keine 3 Minuten. Das Personal war super nett und zuvorkommend.

Die Sauberkeit der Sanitären Anlagen war miserabel, sowie sehr ins Alter gekommen, schätzungsweise aus den späten 80er, nach einer Anmerkung haben wir ein Kostenlosen Upgrade bekommen, hier war die Sauberkeit schon deutlich besser aber auch noch nicht sehr gut. Der Rest des Zimmers war in Ordnung aber auch in die Jahre gekommen, die Bilder sind sehr vorteilhaft aufgenommen.

This was only supposed to be a transit stop and a bed closest to Kruger... But we ended up genuinely sorry that we only had a brief night at our chalet in the camp. The room was super spacious, cozy, with a comfy bed and even a hair dryer (not a default staple, so we appreciated it). The back door leads you to a lawn that overlooks the river and gives you perfect sunsets as well as hippos grunting in the river. We absolutely loved it! Advice #1. Think of dinner before you reach the camp — bring something ready-to-eat with you or have dinner in Komatipoort. Advice #2. The location really is strategic: if you leave the camp for Elephant Bridge gate early in the morning, you will be able to join the queue even if you're not first in line. But better start at 5-30 anyway! P.S. We also had a wonderful guest — the most affectionate resident cat ever! He even spent the night with us, and we loved it. Felt like home!

Pegamos um chalé para família com 2 quartos, excelente a acomodação, tudo limpo e arrumado. Tinha também utensílios na cozinha, microondas, geladeira, fogão,torradeira. A vista é linda, principalmente no pôr do sol!

Die Lage zum Krüger Park ist fantastisch. Nur über die Brücke und du bist im Park. Vom Esstisch kann man Elefanten, Hippos und vieles mehr sehen. Das Personal war freundlich und das Haus war super sauber.

Die Lage ist super, liegt direkt am Crocodile River. Perfekt nach dem Kruger, oder davor. Aussicht ist auch gut. Zimmer selbst ist sehr schön. Essen im Restaurant ist super!

Die Dusche könnte erneuert werden. Die Küche sollten auch renoviert werden. Wir sind um ca 4 Uhr angekommen und wollten im Restaurant essen, dies war leider nicht mehr möglich da es ausgebucht war. Nachdem wir selber kochen wollten, bemerkten wir das der Herd defekt war. Der Koch hat uns dann unsere Nudeln bei sich gekocht. Am nächsten Morgen mussten wir dann den Toaster reparieren lassen. Der Wasserkocher war so kalkig und stinke sehr, sodass wir ihn garnicht verwenden konnten.

We shared the one unit which had two separate and distinct bedrooms each with bathroom and toilet. Shared were the kitchenette, dining and lounge which are all outside taking in the magnificent views. Lovely staff, clean and a great location made a memorable holiday.

Elephant Walk Retreat è stata una bellissima sorpresa: la posizione è semplicemente eccezionale, proprio accanto al Crocodile Bridge Gate del Kruger National Park, ideale per chi vuole entrare nel parco presto al mattino e sfruttare al massimo le giornate di safari. La cosa più speciale è il rapporto diretto con la natura: dalla terrazza del nostro alloggio si gode una splendida vista sul fiume Crocodile e sul Kruger, con la possibilità di osservare animali già dal lodge. Vedere elefanti, ippopotami e altri animali nel loro ambiente naturale, senza nemmeno dover partire per il safari, rende il soggiorno davvero indimenticabile.

Come suggerimento di miglioramento, sarebbe bello vedere una maggiore attenzione ad alcuni piccoli dettagli di manutenzione e comfort negli alloggi, così da valorizzare ancora di più una posizione straordinaria e un’esperienza nella natura davvero unica. Anche qualche servizio aggiuntivo per accompagnare gli ospiti nella scoperta del Kruger renderebbe il soggiorno ancora più completo.

Das man für den Preis nicht in der Anlage im Restaurant essen kann war nicht OK. Wir haben nicht reserviert...aber bei dem Preis erwarte ich den Service! Wir mussten im dunkeln zum Einkaufen...immer noch besser als im dunklen zum Restaurant zu fahren wenn alle davor warnen bei Nacht Auto zu fahren. Denkt dran Essen zu buchen!!!

Ubicación perfecta para entrar al parque. Contratamos un safari y fue genial. Vimos un montón de animales y la chica sabía un montón. Desde el hotel veíamos elefantitos

Acomodação excelente, aconchegante e com um quarto extremamente limpo. A equipe do hotel é maravilhosa e super atenciosa! A localização é impecável, literalmente na porta do Kruger — o que fez toda a diferença para evitar as longas filas de carros na entrada do parque. Para completar, a vista do lago na frente da propriedade é simplesmente deslumbrante. Contratem as refeições sem medo, tudo estava delicioso e impecável. Foi uma estadia perfeita e inesquecível!

Observação útil para futuros hóspedes: Não é uma crítica ao estabelecimento, mas fica o alerta para quem precisa de conexão forte para trabalhar durante a viagem: a rede Wi-Fi é bem instável/lenta e o sinal das operadoras de celular também é bem fraco na região. Se a internet for indispensável para você, vale a pena se planejar com uma alternativa própria (como Starlink móvel ou similar).

L’emplacement, proximité avec la nature, expérience unique de dormir dehors (sur le lit sur la terrasse) avec les bruits d’animaux la nuit, nous avons eu hippopotame et buffle juste devant le soir.

La ubicacion no puede ser mejor, estas literal a 30 metros de la primera barrera del parque. Tienes vistas al parque y se escuchan los hipos por la noche Y la habitacion esta bien

Tuvimos que reclamar la conexion wifi porque no funcionaba, reservamos cena de un dia para otro y se olvidaron pero lo que menos me gusto fue que tienen una terraza donde cada dia hacen fuego y te puedes sentar a ver el parque pero SOLO si te alojas en las tiendas, si te alojas en las cabañas no te dejan sentarte aunque no haya nadie usandolas. Por eso les he puesto un 8 y no mas nota. La cerveza me la tuve que tomar en el porche y no en la terraza porque los de las cabañas no somos VIP

La ubicación al lado del río y de la puerta. Además me gustaría recomendar la excursión con su guía. Excelente. La cabaña e instalaciones estaban muy bien.

Una de las puertas, la cerradura estaba sin llave, avisamos para que la cerrarán, no pudieron y no podíamos cerrar nuestra cabaña. Así que se quedaba abierta con nuestras cosas. No pasó nada pero no nos gusto

Our cabin was way bigger than expected. The view was out of this world. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine spotting the elephants and hippos at night. What an amazing place!

Elephant Retreat is waarschijnlijk de beste locatie om te overnachten als je 's ochtends vroeg het Kruger Park in wil. Het ligt prachtig aan de Crocodile River, direct naast de ingang. Let wel op dat je al je Conservation Fee voor het park hebt betaald en het indemnity formulier ingevuld. Sluit 's ochtends (ca. 5:30 of eerder ) in de goede (middelste) rij aan. We kregen prima uitleg van de eigenaar.

1) The late check in process was unclear. We specified that we would arrive late when we booked (19h00 to 20h00) and although acknowledged they said they would try and accommodate us and mentioned that arrivals after this time would attract a fee of R300 per hour. This left me feeling a bit confused as to what actual arrangements would be. I phoned the office to check and they said they would want updated arrival estimates as we reached Mbombela. In the end it all worked out. 2) Signage to reception at the main building was confusing. You are directed right towards a path which then has a sign saying strictly for Elephant Walk Tented Camp residents only with the only other option to head up to a swimming pool? After asking around we found reception left of the original sign in a pokey little office at the back of the main building.

We've been goin to elephant walk for many years. We were a little bit disappointed as the standard seemed to be off from previous visits a few things were not working and fid we report such on our departure for example ... There is one plug point in the kitchen with two outlets. One was broken. The electric pan was not working to braai/prepare food in. The one bed pillow smelled terrible as if a very sweaty previous guest has slept on it and it was left on the bed. The batteties for the remotes were not working but by 21:00 the manager brought us batteries..

Calm place that you can see the hippos swimming in front of your room.

I booked the Bateleur room, which is bigger and closer to the river, but when I arrived at the hotel the employees who carried out my check-in showed me the Ndlovu room. I realized that something was different from what I have booked on Booking and I asked if it was the same room that I have booked. They told me "oh, this is not the same room, because Bateleur is under rebuilding, this room has some problems in the ceiling, etc". The showed the Bateleur room, but the place was not prepared to receive us. I stayed at Ndlovu, but I showed to employees that Ndlovu was cheaper than Bateleur and I asked about the refund. They tried to convince me the price was the same, but when I show at Booking the difference between the rooms they told to ask refund in the booking. So, I have sent many messages to Elephant Walk Retreat and also Booking, but they never answered me. I feel that the people at this place were not honest with me and I would like to receive the difference between the rooms I booked.

My wife felt stuff falling on her head when seated at dining table, she washed her hair. Next morning there was a deluge of bat droppings on her seat. No soap for showering! Threadbare towels. No TV remote (Wanted to watch SA at W. Cup) Aircon remote in sitting area had flat battery. Long flight of stairs for us in our 80's to cart our luggage. A staff member accompanied us but didn't offer assistance with luggage. Microwave perched awkwardly high above fridge and unstable as a foot was missing. Just one teaspoon. This after we were 'upgraded' from unit 7 to unit 3! Very much doubt there is housekeeper training or supervision. We were incredulous at such incompetence.

Great location very near to the Crocodile bridge rest house gate . It made it very convenient to go for the safaris . The property itself was very pretty and next to a river . They were very helpful and even organised a guide for us .

Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft direkt am Gate zum Eingang Krüger Nationalpark! Im Nachhinein hätten wir uns lieber dafür entschieden, von dort aus täglich zu starten. Im Süden sind wahnsinnig viele Tiere zu sehen. Auch ist es möglich, über den Tag etwas weiter rein in den Nationalpark zu fahren. Leider hatten wir uns entschieden, innerhalb vom Nationalpark mehrere Übernachtungen zu verbringen. Die dortigen Unterkünfte sind bei weitem nicht empfehlenswert/toll! Aber dafür furchtbar teuer. :-) Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit wahnsinnig schönen Blick auf den Fluss hier. Die Stadt zwecks Besorgungen ist ebenfalls mit dem Auto in rund 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Haupthaus und der Eingangsbereich sind wahnsinnig toll. Eine insgesamt super und saubere Unterkunft, die wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen können.! Was auch super toller war: die Unterkunft verfügt sogar über einen sehr netten Pool, mit sauberen Wasser und liegen! Eigentlich der schönste Pool Während unserer gesamten Reise - hatten wir aufgrund der Außentemperatur und der wenigen Zeit leider nicht nutzen konnten..

L’accueil la gentillesse. Une belle vue où on peut apercevoir les hippopotames ainsi que les girafes depuis la terrasse. Nous avons pu faire un safari également, proposé par l’établissement.

Nous avons trouvé dommage qu’il n’y ai pas de restaurant sur place, mais nous avons été très bien conseillé et avons pu manger à l’extérieur dans un bon Restaurant

La vue et la situation rendent l'endroit très chouette ! Chouette piscine ! L'hote a accepté qu'on fasse à late check-in, merci à lui !

The location was brilliant with regard to access to Kruger National Park Crocodile bridge Gate. The room was very comfortable, clean and secure.

The location is great and the staff were helpful.

I wouldn't stay here again. The room had a urine like odor. I did complain and they were very accommodating by moving me to another room. The odor was possible from bat urine on top of the thatch and the smell was coming into the room. There were ants on the bed and the shower door had grime buildup. Was not happy with the cleanliness. If you want to stay here for the location, book at the tents.

Die Lage. Die Unterkunft kann unserer Meinung nach nur aufgrund der Lage existieren.

Wir hatten 2 Einheiten gebucht. Die Ingulule-Einheit war total verdreckt und mit Ungeziefer befallen. Flöhe in den Betten. Fledermäuse und viele Insekten und deren Hinterlassenschaften im Zimmer. Bad und Toilette total ekelig. Wir hatten nur 2 Nächte gebucht und waren froh die Unterkunft wieder verlassen zu können. Im Vergleich zu unseren 5 anderen Unterkünften richtig mies. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen wenn man schmerzfrei ist und nur Wert auf die Aussicht legt.

Locatie was geweldig. Wij zaten met het gezin in een heel mooi groot huis aan de rivier met het mooiste uitzicht. Vraag om huisje 9! Bedden waren ook erg lekker

The location and view were fantastic. The unit was clean, tidy and well equipped. The aircon was an essential bonus.

We arrived over the Easter weekend. There was no one to receive is, but we could easily access the unit and contact them telephonically. Just missed the face to face interaction.

La qualité des équipements qui est à améliorer, le micro-ondes ne marchait pas, la wifi non plus, puis très faiblement après intervention du propriétaire.Beaucoup de végétation qui cache la vue sur la rivière.

The view is stunning, the silence is amazing making the perfect rest with nature. This is the best stay around Kruger that I have been.

Check-in: we couldn't reach the property easily because the gates were closed, it took us 20min to enter - after ringing and calling several times.

Looking over the river was incredible, you can’t get any closer to the crocodile river gate to enter Kruger park, so super convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful, pool is nice and big.

Toilet felt like it’s going to fall through the floor at any moment. Tv didn’t work but that wasn’t a big deal just nice to know. There’s a strong smell that comes with a thatch roof.

Ficamos em um quarto enorme, com 4 camas e um sofá! A cama e as roupas se cama eram maravilhosas, chuveiro excelente! Tudo que precisávamos depois de horas de voo! Ganhamos um jantar devido a confusão do check-in e os funcionários foram muito gentis e pacientes, pois falamos pouco em inglês.

Avisamos pelo Booking que faríamos o check-in às 22h devido o horário do nosso voo, porém o portão do hotel estava fechado e não havia ninguém para atender o interfone! Meu namorado teve que pular o muro, no escuro. Estávamos com medo de encontrar algum animal pois é muito próximo ao portão do parque! Outro ponto que poderia melhorar é a iluminação dos quartos.

Lovely view, seeing the wildlife from your patio was the highlight definitly.

No coffee/tee or milk. Also no soap/shampoo in the unit, except for basin. I found this odd, as the most overnight accommodation provides this. The shower was very average, the head did not work properly, the drain did not empty quick enough thus you were left rushing otherwise it would overflow the bathroom. Another note, I had too call for coffee as room service and payed as they only served the tented units at the restaurant and did not have capacity to serve us.

The location is fantastic. I loved watching the hippos from my balcony and the braai facilities were great!

Wunderschöne Anlage, sehr sauber, sehr komfortabel und ein toller Blick auf den Crocodile River und abends kommen die Elephanten bis zum Zaun. Der Name der Anlage entspricht dem Geschehen! Ein sehr netter Gastgeber! Bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade auf eine Hütte direkt zum Zaun um das Geschehen am Fluss besser beobachten zu können! Für einen Aufenthalt auch für mehrere Tage sehr zu empfehlen! Liegt direkt am Kruger Gate!

My place is very nice, right by the river, but the cleaning ladies definitely don't care about cleanliness. They don't deserve the salary they get. Let me say this openly. We are hoteliers too. If they clean this place like this, who knows how they clean their own homes? Please, I beg the staff. Pay a little more attention. Earn the money you get for your boss. Please, please, cleanliness is very important. You haven't done any cleaning at all. It's a shame.

The cleanliness is terrible, please tell your staff to earn their salaries. Please go into the room and take a look around before a customer arrives. A person should at least sweep and clean up the bat droppings. It's shameful, truly shameful. I work in hotels in Türkiye. I've never seen such a dirty place. This is my 10th visit.

Wasn’t told that no staff would be onsite some evenings - we needed assistance with the kitchen appliances not working and couldn’t find anyone and had no number to call. Kitchen appliances (microwave and stove top) did not work. We struggled to cook because it was raining so couldn’t braai.

My booking was upgraded to one of the new tented accommodation which is currently under construction - thank you. An awesome setting overlooking the river, especially at sunset.

L'emplacement est parfait😍 À la porte du kruger, en bordure de rivière où depuis notre terrasse on a pu observer hippo éléphants et croco se baigner. Endroit calme, malgré quelques singes chapardeurs et malicieux Chambre très spacieuse

Le lieu manque un peu d'entretien extérieur pour le rendre réellement paradisiaque. Gazon non tondu et très haut Quelques petit souci avec l'électricité

If you main destination is kruger national park this is your location.

The room is clean to the eye but the bathroom was not clean. The shower glass would do with more scrabbing. It would be nice of they spray the rooms with something for mosquitos.

Le cadre est magnifique. La vue sur la rivière depuis les lodges est magique: visibilité sur les crocodiles, les éléphants et les hippopotames entre autres.

Great location. Perfect hub for the visit of the Kruger National Park. Very nice room in a cosy cabin.

We did not know that you have to do a reservation for the restaurant to get food. So had to drive to the next village but at Christmas there was only a very disappointing restaurant open.
