Buckler's Africa Lodge Kruger Park

Wunderschön direkt am Crocodile River gelegen, absolut ruhig und idyllisch. Mit ein bisschen Geduld haben wir täglich Tier aus dem angrenzenden Kruger Park am Fluss gesehen.

Wir bekamen leider ein sehr dunkles Zimmer zugeteilt, das wäre bei einer Woche Aufenthalt nicht unsere 1.Wahl gewesen. Es war trotzdem großzügig geschnitten und ultra-sauber. Wir vermuten, dass die meisten anderen Zimmer heller waren und mehr Tageslicht hineinkam.

The view is exceptional over the river

Room was not up to standard. Chair was not clean and dirty spots on furniture. Balcony was not clean. Food good but take way too long to prepare.

The Deluxe suites are spacious. Good views of the river from the balcony. Great staff. Excellent location. Good food.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Ich verstehe die ganzen Bewertungen nicht. Unser Zimmer war feucht, muffig und schimmelig ! Wir mussten es sogar aufgrund des Gestanks wechseln. Sind sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war ok.

Hervorragende Lage gerade im Hinblick zum Besuch des Kruger Nationalparks weil der ist einerseits direkt vor dem Hotelzimmer und die Anfahrt zum Crocodile Gate ist ca. 7 Kilometer entfernt.

Lugar increible, vista al rio de ensueño. Vimos muchos animales que se acercaban a tomar agua o bañarse en el rio, ubicación super estratégica. Personal atento. Comida rica. Muy fácil de acceder al Parque.

It was an exceptional stay , really enjoyed the food, and it quite an experience to see the animals coming.

O ambiente é extremamente agradável, funcionários de uma forma geral atenciosos e prestativos; fizemos o game Drive e foi excelente. Acredito que fez diferença ficarmos próximo ao rio.

O cheiro do quarto um pouco estranho, acredito que seja devido estrutura da cobertura, madeira com um material tipo “palha”.

Staff at the lodge were exceptional service was excellent.

Amazing location looking over the river. Super close to the Crocodile Bridge Kruger entrance. Food was very tasty and good selection of options. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, we were shown in by Lucia at reception who was lovely!

The game drives were more expensive than I’ve experienced at other lodges. Also weren’t offered any breakfast or snacks on the first day drive. And no coffee on either game drives (would be a cheap and easy addition) The room strongly smelt of damp. They ran out of gin on the final evening, also the wine (we tried white and rose) was not good. Easy to get amazing good value wine in SA so definitely an area of improvement.

Food, staff, rooms, view all exceptional. Big ups to Tshepo....

War ein ganz tolles Erlebnis! Unser zweites Mal im Kruger, das erste Mal im Buckler‘s, wir kommen nächstes Jahr sicher wieder! Super Lage, 5 Minuten Fahrt zum Park Gate, sehr schönes Anwesen, tolle Zimmer mit Park Views, sehr gutes Service, alles top sauber, gutes Essen, tolle Massagen, das ganze Team hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen, also definitiv empfehlenswert, zudem ist im Vergleich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut!

While we appreciate and are respectful of all cultures and religions, we were informed the night before our arrival that the bar would be closed for the second day/night of our stay. No explanation. Upon arrival, we were told, by disgruntled bar and admin staff, that one of the directors of the Lodge had invited a number of friends and family to stay for a few days, starting on the second day of our booking. They explained that these guests kept strictly halal and therefore no one else in the hotel was allowed to purchase or consume alcohol.Even the wine glasses were taken out of the cupboards. We were furthermore told that we could not have diner in the designated area that evening as the tables were now reserved for the party. No problem with accommodating other people, but we find it odd that all cultures/religions must adapt to one particular one's rules or beliefs without forewarning. If I want it to be quiet from 6 pm, should all other guests adhere to that?

The location to the Crocodile Bridge Gate of KNP. Also on the bank of crocodile river. Almost like you are right in the KNP able to see Elephants, Hippo etc from the balcony of bedroom. Quite stunning! Indeed a 5 star facilities, the staff were amazing. The ladies at the reception, Xolani, the new staff was helpful, he served us most of the times, the food, wow! Especially the mixed grill, quite irresistible, ate twice in 2 nights stay.

Room and kitchen with everything we needed, staff were very friendly, good food and great playground! Also with a wonderful view to the river, saw many animals and really enjoyed our stay.

The family superior room was very spacious and clean, the only comment is the shower, we had a 50% change on hot water

Top Lage zum Krüger Nationalpark. Während unseres Aufenthaltes haben wir Elefanten, Nielpferde und Büffel von der Lodge beobachten können. Wir haben Halbpension gebucht und das Essen war gut.

Die Lage, der Ausblick und das Personal! Zimmer waren modern.

Tudo. Hotel excelente, funcionários extremamente educados e prestativos. Fizeram uma surpresa no jantar do meu aniversário e foi muito legal! Os guias dos safari também sao simpáticos e fazem paradas para você conseguir ver os animais de perto. Na noite anterior ao safari eles fornecem uma sacola com alimentos para tomar café antes de sair cedinho. Comida do jantar também sempre uma delícia. Chegamos do safari e eles nos receberam com toalhas geladas para aliviar o calor. Voltaria novamente com certeza!

Posto dalla vista stupenda sul fiume, è possibile ammirare molti animali a tutte le ore del giorno. La posizione è ottima per accedere al kruger attraverso il crocodile bridge gate (7 minuti di auto). Lo staff è sempre molto gentile, sorridente e disponibile ad aiutare.

Il ristorante non sempre è all'altezza del lodge, il buffet della colazione ha poca scelta anche se è possibile ordinare alla carta. Le stanze mancano di vere zanzariere e le stanze che affacciano su piscina e ristorante mancano di un po' di privacy anche se in fondo si passano le intere giornate fuori.

Estuvimos solo por una noche, pero encontramos unas habitaciones excelentes, modernas, amplias y con todo lo que se necesita.

Solo que la comida del restaurante podría mejorar un poco.

Very nice very friendly stuff. The manager was really kind. Clean rooms, and a nice complimentary chocolate before night time.

On the safari we unfortunately didn’t see much animals. We were staring at the bushes for many hours. The driver was very nice and tried so so hard to find some. It was unfortunate.

The location is ideal for Kruger. Rooms very modern inside but with African feel from outside

Amazing terrace with Kruger views. We saw Crocodiles, hipos and Kudus from our room. The Rooms was very big and comfortable and had excellent views. I recommend this place

I loved the location and the views.

For the price, breakfast should have been included and/or a game drive. The restaurant was ok but more could have been made of the decor. The pool area needs cushions on the recliners. I didn't get the luxury feel and given the price, the safari lodge type luxury was missing which was disappointing. The confirmation that I received said that alcohol was not served on the premises and that you are welcome to bring your own (this may put off some guests) but when we arrived there, there was alcohol being served . It was a very limited selection though.

The location was great, only a few minutes away from the Kruger National Park. Stuff was friendly and could see animals from the villa.

We loved that they accommodated so well for vegan and vegetarian food, including the breakfast packs for the game drive. The staff were so attentive and so lovely and the property (incl the pool) was very clean

I enjoyed the incredibly beautiful views over Crocodile River and the spacious room. The team is very kind, attentive and extremely nice. The lodge is very close to Kruger NP Crocodile Bridge Gate but you'll see very many animals from the lodge's terrace as well (elephants, buffalo, kudus, hippos, birds...)

The restaurant c/should improve, I ate there twice, but was really disappointed.

The staff were very attentive, super-friendly, pleasant and happy. It’s well situated on the crocodile river , got to see daily elephants and hippos the view of the Kruger Park is amazing.

Considering the cost of the meals, the food and presentation was average and not worth the price.
