Room was ok, but noisy next to reception, lots of banging doors. Room was clean. Road was noisy. Nice hosts and friendly.

Good sized room and comfortable bed. Shower pressure needs improvement and Quite a lot of road noise.

Sandy and Glen run this lodge and you could not ask for a nicer couple. They are truly gracious hosts. Our stay included breakfast and was delivered to us at the time requested on an outdoor seating area. The bay was right in front of us with fantastic views.

We stayed for one night. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was superb.

We were stuck in traffic in Auckland and barely made our 18:00 check in deadline. Sandra and Glen were waiting for us and are just wonderful hosts. Definitely a place I would stay in again.

Everything!!! Communication brilliant as we were coming in the early hours. The hosts went more than out their way, to ensure we had our correct room requirements, ie one king, one single, breakfast super!! highly recommend this place!!!

Lovely hosts and a fabulous room. I love it when the attention to detail in the room shows that the owners care. This was one of those times. A fantastic kitchenette and bathroom rounded it off superbly. Host were great at giving out tips and tricks of things to do and see. Juat across the road from the beach too. A shame to be leaving.

A really great stay- a warm welcome, a spacious room with everything we needed and breakfast delivered to our room the following morning. On a fairly busy road but the traffic noise did not disturb us. Plenty of space to park, walking distance to shops and restaurants and a sea view, we couldn’t ask for more

Glen and Sandy couldn’t do enough for us. The property is clean and comfortable with a nice beach across the street. They gave us very helpful insights into the area and a wonderful breakfast done with a lot of care. We really enjoyed our short stay there.

We started our trip here after 28 hrs of traveling. It was a great place to get adjusted to the time change and catch up on sleep. The hosts were amazing. There are restaurants and shops close by. The beach is across the street. Great beds and pillows. You couldn’t ask for much more.

Absolutely amazing experience as the hosts (Sandy and Glen) are really warm and friendly. Just cross the road and you are on a beach And a short walk from a lot of restaurants Give them a try and you will be glad you did.

We loved Sandy and Glen at Whangaparaoa Lodge. They were incredibly helpful and kind. Our room was exactly as we had expected and we totally enjoyed our stay. The Lodge is small enough to feel cosy and it has great views as well as an excellent location. Having a good BBQ was a bonus for us. Thank you!

I found the owners were very welcoming, the room was a good size and clean. There was plenty of parking and the motel was very easy to find. All in all a good experience

Sandy & Glenn we’re amazing hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Sandy drove us to dinner one night, the ceiling fan was wobbling & Glenn spent over an hour fixing it. They greeted every guest as if they were friends or family. We extended our stay & we highly recommend the Whangaparoa Lodge for business, pleasure or a weekend getaway. Thanks again Sandra & Peter

Well presented was left a lovely welcome note. Managers made an effort to contact us prior to check in as we were delayed at airport. Highly recommend here as a place to stay

This was a lovely place to stay especially if you want to be closer to Auckland but have some beautiful outdoor space. The beach across the street was very nice and the Little Manly area had quaint dining. The Shakespeare Park at the end of the peninsula is definitely worth a visit for a walk. We stayed 2 nights to be able to get to the airport easily. I would recommend it for either end of a trip to the North of Auckland and the airport

Excellent room, good view, very clean and equipped unfortunately the property is on a main route for holiday traffic which was very heavy and therefore noisy.

The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The location was great , easy walking distance to Maynly village which had good dining options. Would recommend as a place to stay.

Clean Tidy Great hosts

Despite the unit having double glazing it ws very thin and ineffective at keeping road noise out as the property is located directly beside the main road in and out of Whangaparaoa despite being directly beside a small beach. Very friendly staff and great location apart from the road noise.

Fantastic property with wonderful, friendly hosts. Sandy and Glen took great care of us and made us feel so welcome on our arrival into New Zealand. Lovely big, clean room with plenty of space and large bathroom. We also had a beautiful breakfast delivered to our room, a real treat after a long day of travelling. Highly recommend this hotel, perfect spot opposite the beach also. Thanks Sandy and Glen

Every aspect of our stay was excellent

Our welcome from Sandy and Glen was outstanding to say the least - both warm and legitimate. This made for a great start to our overnight stay. Additionally, the small touches including a hand-written, personalised-welcome message and freshly baked (by Sandy) croissants with lovely-rustic presentation - was great! We dont normally visit this part of the country but the location - metres to beach and hospitality was fabulous!

Very clean tidy

A view of the Waitemata was a welcome site. Traffic noise was high coming from a farm Internet connection first day asked for us to accept cookies before I could log in. At 7 30 am on Sat maintenance started next door with sawing and hammering affecting our meditation time.

My husband and I were very impressed with the accommodation, very clean and everything you needed provided. Troy went the extra mile for us, especially after I got lost, he couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Was clean and tidy .. had everything we needed .. very close to beach was great.. awesome spa bath .. staff were really friendly and woke up to easter eggs in our door which was a really nice touch .. great place too stay

Troy and his whanau/team were awesome. They were frequently and professional throughout the visit. They went the extra mile, even sent through beach conditions on the morning that they thought we might be taking the kids swimming.
