Locatie is top en verder is het erg goedkoop, dus snap ook dat ik er niet al te veel van kan verwachten. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Hygiëne is matig en slapen is lastig met de extreem krakende bedden. Er is ook niet echt een comfortabele ruimte om even te chillen. Op de bovenverdieping is er slechts 1 wc waar ook de douche is.

Good location, right next to carpenter street. As the main hostel of the kind in Kuching, you may meet some nice backpackers here, and the people who live here year round.

No communal areas, uncomfortable seating, dark windowless rooms with loud AC, unclean toilet and strange shower layout next to the kitchen.

La localisation juste à côté de la route avec une mauvaise insonorisation nous a empêché de bien dormir. Peut être que c'était seulement notre chambre mais c'était très bruyant.

I was seriously robbed in that hostel (there are no lockers). Very (very) noisy at night as it faces a bifg road.

Booked for just 2 nights, ended up staying 10. Really affordable, close to everything, well-equipped and the staff is beyond helpful and flexible. Breakfast is free and available with self-service all day.

Noisy beds and lack of space to store stuff.

It was ok for the price we paid. The owner was responsive (even late at night), the kitchen was furnished with bread, coffee, water to refill water bottles. The bed was comfortable. Great location just a few minutes away from the waterfront, a few steps from a school with lovely kids who enjoy a short chat in English. There is a 7-Eleven on the other side of the street. The hot water in the shower worked well and there enough bathrooms and toilet for everyone.

We requested a room with a window and we were given one, but the noise from the street was unbearable. Also the window did not close properly, leaving holes for mosquitos to fly in. It was located next to the bathroom, so there was mold on the walls. We mentioned it to the owner and, even if it was late, we were told we could move to a different room downstairs. No street noise in the new room but no window also. It came with a fan and aircon, both very strong and no remote to adjust the aircon. The room had a funny smell and we could hear everything, from other guests talking in their rooms to people talking on the phone in the kitchen at 11pm.

This place is so nice and cozy, great atmosphere, kind people who help you with everything and obviously love to have tourists around, easy check-in, clean, very good location, free breakfast, simply the best deal you can get for this price!! I kept on extending :) The owner is an angel! Thank you for everything, KD :)

It was such a nice space for solo traveller, especially, female solo traveller. It was pretty closed to a lot of places.

Maybe the squeaky bed because I am a very light sleeper.

QuiikCat was located well as it was only a couple minute walk away from the waterfront. There's a 7/11 directly across the street from it as well which is really convient. I was the only person in the room apart from the last night I stayed there. It was pretty clean, I saw the occasional gecko here and there - which was pretty cute. They also had a night where they were up till about 11pm singing songs in Malay. The person who was singing had a really nice voice and whoever played the guitar was very talented too.

The only thing that I didn't like about the bathroom upstairs is that there was an open window directly next to the shower. It was a little bit weird to be able to see out whilst showering (as well as have people on the street have the option to look in).I'm 5'3 so the window was at head height for me, but if you're taller then that you'll have to be a bit careful. The beds can also be really creaky sometimes as well.

It's a quite and clean place. Though no one on the reception they respond quickly by message. I loved my stay in the hostel.

The location is central and the price is cheap.

I had the misfortune of booking this place for two weeks. While I was there the owner pretends to be nice, but in reality, she does not want to run a hostel. She smiles but she is cold and does not want you to be there. There is zero love in the place. She does not want people to hang out, the chairs in the entrance are purely decoration as when I hung out on them too long she pretended the AC broke to drive people out. The bedrooms feel like a prison cell, she watches the CCTV in real time and messages you about what you're doing wrong (three times!) and you're not allowed to open the door to anyone. An older couple and a grandmother had a reservation and I was told off for letting them in and letting them wait in the entrance instead of the rain - and that if they didn't pay I would have to pay... me a guest! It took her two hours to show up during which they ultimately left. This sort of thing happened multiple times. I did more work at the reception than her. The vibe is hostile and uncomfortable. She wants you to pay her, and piss off. I'm sorry but the "Bless our home with love and laughter" sign in the kitchen can't save this one. If there was any love in the place it's long gone many years ago. Book anywhere but here. Avoid avoid avoid. This is the darkest place I've stayed in, in years.

The room was exactly as advertised. Laundry service was done quickly and well. Food was available and there were no hassles whatsoever throughout my stay.

price is very affordable, which you pay what you get, for me this stay is so much better it is walkable to convenient store, mall, museum, ferry, food, souvenir and sightseeing, you wont be have the chance to be starve here staff are friendly and thoughtful, they planned ahead and told me know how to check in when they knew they are not available when I arrive, which understandable because I arrived on Raya night I don't know for others, for me bathroom is very big (like this is the first in my dorm life haha) and clean

well first of all, I am the kind of people who can accept anything, as long I can sleep and bath in clean places I am alright, but this places is not suitable for light sleeper people the dorm bed is very loud even you just move a little and the stay is just beside the road so expect car and motorcycle noises even at midnight next would be the bed, I got itchy while sleeping one night, I think it is dust mite, which is normal

I love the homestay’s design, it’s small, cute, and has a lovely woody style. The homestay is near the road, so it can be a little noisy sometimes. Fortunately, I was able to sleep well throughout my stay. The owner is a very helpful and kind person. Thank you so much!!

If you go to Kuching this is your best option for accommodation: is close to open air market (bus station), clean, comfy, staff go the extra mile to make you feel like at home, available toast, butter, jam, coffe and tea all day long, there's a fridge and water dispenser, showers with hot water, games to play with other guests... Is just perfect

We really appreciated the basic breakfast offered! The staff are very helpful and they will provide you with all the information you need for your stay in Kuching. The bathrooms and showers were clean.

The room was super small for two people and our luggage. Ot smelled strange and stuffy. Some days we had to keep the door open as there was no window to getsome ventilaton.

It is be well located, near to everything. You get a code to enter the Hostel, room was ok, clean. You get towel. Worth the money.

Cero social. There is also no space for it, just small place at the entrance but not comfortable so no one stays. If you want to stay in the kitchen you have to open a camping-table.

The welcome was really great – the staff were super kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and having breakfast included was a real plus. The location was also very convenient for getting around.

La habitación da a una carretera, se escucha mucho el ruido de los coches y por la mañana el ruido del colegio que hay enfrente. La ventana tiene el cierre roto, por lo que tienes que hacer malabares si quieres cerrar o abrir la contraventana. El cierre de la puerta no es muy seguro, se puede abrir perfectamente desde fuera sin ningún tipo de esfuerzo porque también está medio roto. El baño no está demasiado limpio.

Laidback and friendly host. Easy to communicate with. Facilities are basic but enough. Room is quite small but okay for one person. Walking distance to tourist locations.

Only problem is the location: the window of the hallway faces the intersection of roads. The noise of cars and especially motorbikes was nearly unbearable through the whole night. Rooms not on the second floor along the hallway may enjoy a quieter night.

Great location, staff (KD & Aqilah) were incredibly friendly and helpful with local tips from activity ideas to transport tips. Comfortable bedding with great aircon. Shared bathrooms kept very clean. 10/10

Very friendly welcome and interaction with guest throughout. Facilities very basic, but clean and everything in working order. Good coffee in the morning, if available. Facilities very quiet between 10pm and 10am

Although basic breakfast provided, coffee only with percolator which was not explained how to use. No milk for coffee available.

Great hostel just 5 mins from the waterfront. Coffee/ tea and toast are provided for breakfast. Water also available. Nice and clean. Staff very helpful and available on WhatsApp if not at the hostel. I had a great time in Kuching.

While the hostel is very close to everything, it's also on a busy junction, so there is traffic noise at night. This wasn't a massive problem for me, however, and the positives of the hostel make up for this slight drawback.

They have necessary things we do need. Good locations, staff is nice. They have travel brosurs and we'll inform for free museum or bus service information as well. Christine, even let me drop my belongings even after several days from the check-out date. Make sure to bring cash since they only accept cash as the payment methods.

The bed is good for 1 day but not good for several days since its bedding is not supporting well for the backbone. Medium soft bedding will be better.

Perfect location, to walk over to riverbank is just 5mins walk, super convenient.
