Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Hotel reception staff were very welcoming and efficient. I was given an inside space to put my bike so did not need to ask about that. Nice family run hotel without all the corporate anonymity . The room was fine and bed comfortable , good toilet facilities and supply of towels etc. The location is good , just off the main street and close to amenities and a short walk to the beach. The breakfast was amazing and had I not had to cycle I would have eaten more , so many options including hot food. All in all an excellent place to stay and one night did not do it justice.
No negatives from me .

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Sehr freundliches Familien Hotel. Gutes Frühstück incl. Omelett. Kaffe wird in Kännchen gebracht, deshalb entfällt lästiges Anstehen an Kaffeemaschinen, wie in anderen Hotels, Kaffee und die Auswahl beim Frühstück waren sehrgut.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026I spent two nights at this hotel. My first impression was that it is an older property with very small rooms, and the walls have almost no sound insulation. However, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast was good, and they clearly do their best to keep the place clean. My first night went smoothly.
Unfortunately, the second night was a total nightmare. A new couple checked into the room next door and created chaos all night long. They were talking loudly, walking heavily on the wooden floor, repeatedly opening and slamming doors, and keeping the water running almost constantly. On top of that, their intimate sounds were extremely loud and fully audible. Because of all this noise, I couldn't sleep at all and spent a sleepless night. As a result, I had to cancel all my plans for the next day due to total exhaustion. When I spoke to the owner in the morning, he simply said he would talk to the guests, which was not very helpful after the fact. To be honest, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace and a quiet night’s sleep. There is zero soundproofing, and there is no night staff on site—leaving guests to deal with noisy neighbors on their own, which made me feel unsafe. Despite these issues, there are no posted notices reminding guests of quiet hours, nor is there an emergency phone number to call late at night if something happens. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing and drove me to avoid small independent hotels in the future, sticking strictly to major hotel chains.

Peut-être quelques infimes travaux à effectuer tels que une porte de sdb difficile à fermer mais vraiment pas grand chose.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Besonders gefallen hat uns das sehr gute Frühstück. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, und wir hatten insgesamt einen rundum angenehmen Aufenthalt.
Bei den hohen Temperaturen hätten wir uns eine Klimaanlage oder zumindest einen Ventilator gewünscht. Mit geöffneten Fenstern konnten wir in den bequemen Betten dennoch gut schlafen.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Das Hotel Montana in De Panne ist ein kleines, aber feines Hotel. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär, welches sich sehr positiv auf den Aufenthalt auswirkt. Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Man ist binnen 2-3 Minuten direkt am Strand. Das Bett ist gemütlich, die Zimmer sauber. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und ausgewogen. Ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen und würde bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt in De Panne wieder auswählen.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026This cosy well located family run hotel has a fantastic breakfast served by the owners with freshly cooked egg preparations and real coffee or tea. There is a spacious private parking at 17 euros a night. There is a lift to serve the 3 floors and a piano in the breakfast room. My bed was very comfortable.
I found sand on the bedside table. No fan in the room at 26 degrees in the night but windows can open. No shower gel. Toilet seat loose. Escape stairs outside are rusting away. Electricity cables sometimes weirdly connected. Front door drags on the floor waking everybody up, otherwise very cosy and perfect location.

Le lit n'était pas confortable et le matelas penchait pendant la nuit. Il était difficile d'aérer car la chambre numéro 11 reçue était au 1er étage et donnait sur la terrasse d'une habitation voisine, la salle de bains était assez exigue.
