We loved this our time at Villa Santa Cruz and will definitely go back if we find ourselves in the area again. The staff were amazing, the service excellent, grounds and property top notch. We saw so many whales in the ocean, and such great birdwatching as well. The beach is pristine and peaceful. The pool is clean and lovely. The hot tub was actually hot too! The only thing I would factor in to your stay is that the roundtrip transportation from SJD is a little pricier than I expected. Not a huge deal, just something to consider when budgeting for your trip.

Amazing!! We had such an amazing time at Villa Santa Cruz. The property is stunning and everyone there is so warm and welcoming. Feels like having an extended family. The owners are all spectacular hosts. So excited to return!

upon check in, we quickly realized that the tents were the only way we would enjoy the property, so when the staff helped us move there (with extra cost $$$), it was pretty perfect. i think this set up might be one of the best in todos santos because it's truly beachfront. the safari tent has a private bonfire right on the sand, so it feels uniquely private. aside from camping, this was the closest i've slept to the ocean and loud waves to lull you in and out of hazy naps and deep rem cycles. absolutely loved that. coffee was brought via tray every morning which was luxe. green room is a restaurant next door with very fresh seafood and decent prices! the massage was really lovely as well - go earlier to relax into the rest of the day

there's a few things... and this mostly has to do with the value of money we really enjoyed our time, at a hefty fee. the property tax and an additional 10% fee is added on any service/food you get. transportation is expensive if you plan on getting into town. about $35 +tax+fees one way is what you're looking at. so that's almost $100 USD to go roundtrip. the decor feels like a costume of mexico, and it checks out when it's a white family from san diego who operates the hotel. the charm of the tiles and patina looks extremely cheap in person and i found it distracting. imagine a vegas hotel opening in 2003 that is mexico themed but it's at the end of the strip... is how i would describe the decor. it just looks really cheap. this place has the costume of lavishness and the staff could be better trained. again, for one of the most pricey spots in town, the service lacks humanity. a $200 carride to the airport arrived for our checkout and to me, it is absolutely insane to me that we carried our luggage across the property. i do expect exceptional service when the price is over $1000USD a night. you can tell the staff is close and family-like, i just don't think they're trained to have the same feeling toward guests. if you want amazing service, paradero (although, not by the beach) offers a memorable stay. all in all, we really loved our stay, but it will cost you money to get it right there. none of these are dealbreakers and we were happy to splurge for the time. i just wish i knew all this ahead of time before i dropped over $3Gs to stay 2 nights here. and if i come back to TS, i feel like cristobal would be our happy medium !

Villas Santa Cruz is a place you don't want to leave- so we didn't! The owners are wonderful and the staff is top notch. The pools are beautiful, food amazing and beach at the property gorgeous to walk to watch the surfers or sunset. The breakfast is amazing and all the gardens where the food comes from are fun to walk around. Definitely try the passion fruit margarita.

We don't have any dislikes. The hotel communication before our stay and their help booking our transportation was impeccable.

Beautiful unique property, in a fabulous secluded location. As secluded as it felt, it was still only 10-15 minutes from town.

Only minor complaint is that the in-house bar shuts just before 10 pm, which feels a bit early if you’re wanting to enjoy a glass of wine with your spouse! It would also be ok if they closed at 10 and didn’t serve further, however they also shut the lights down so there is not a public space to sit and enjoy!

Location is Heaven! The staff make it exceptional! We will return again and again when we are in Todos Santos.

The level of service was 5 stars all around. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We will definitely be coming back.

The staff was exceptional! We so enjoyed our time sitting at the bar enjoying the best margaritas and dinner with Victor! He was so informative, genuine and helped us with guidance on how to best utilize our time. The staff really made the experience.

Honestly, this place is a total gem. We loved it and can't wait to come back.

our rooms were in the main villa... really too close from the kitchen. So that we had all the smell of the kitchen for breakfast / lunch and dinner. Given the price we paid, it's really not acceptable. Moreover, the beach is beautiful... but full of rocks just in front.

The hotel is right on the beach and has gorgeous sunsets. Views from the rooms are beautiful and the pool was pretty. A few cute dogs and a cat live on site that were very friendly. Breakfast included which was nice, easy walk to The Green Room for dinner.

Noise in the main building (blenders, dishes, people talking in the kitchen and lobby) that could all be heard inside the rooms. The size of the first room that we stayed in the first night was so small with an uncomfortable soft bed. The staff was nice enough to move us to another room with more space, but it did not change the noise issue. $800 was a lot for us to spend on two nights and we were disappointed in the cost compared to the value.

Beautiful rooms, beds were a little small and tended to settle in the middle with two people, but it didn’t keep us from having a rest.

We LOVE staying here and have stayed both in their regular rooms and in their tents. The tents are my favorite because you are literally staring at the crashing ocean waves. It’s such a special treat! The pool area is perfect, the restaurant/bar is cozy and cool. The overall property is beautiful!

Wonderful stay! Highly recommend! Food was amazing. Service was terrific! Everyone is so nice. Room was really cute with a great view of the pool and ocean. There’s a fun beach bar on the property. We wish we had spent more time there! Will definitely be coming back!

Todo Santos is a beautiful town, this hotel has a great beach front location, and a beautiful villa setting and a great restaurant. The breakfast that was included with our stay was delicious, the bartender making drinks poolside Aaron was so sweet and made the best mango margaritas from scratch ( so good). It was a girls weekend getaway ( four adults) so we shared “The Familia” suite, it had a nice little kitchen set up. A plush king bed, but the two other beds are not true twins, the length is that of a child's bed. I had called the hotel directly to inquire about the room once booked, and I spoke to a gentleman who told me he could accommodate two rollaway twin beds, somehow this was a miscommunication as they were never an option, they managed to set up a bed with added cushions to give it length, so it was workable. The issue was the two girls that slept on those beds were attacked by some kind of insect/ bug. I slept on the king bed and had no issues the first two nights, but by the third the girls were frustrated and extremely uncomfortable, we brought it up to front desk and they quickly cleaned up and addressed the issue, I slept on the “twin” third night and did not experience the bites thankfully. Also the bathroom was nice and spacious but the shower had the worst water pressure, the outside pool shower was better. We had a great time overall the place is nice just lacks a few details.

This was an unbelievable place to spend time in Todos Santos. We had the best time and will be back. Service was amazing and the property is surreal.

Although somewhat hard to find at first, it was a true treasure as to it's location, proximity to the beach, wonderful and charming facilities and excellent service by the staff.

MY FIANCE AND I ENJOYED A TRULY MAGICAL TIME AT THE VILLA! THE BUILDING OUR ROOM WAS LOCATED IN WAS A TASTEFUL MIX OF OLD MEXICO AND CHIC . FOOD WAS GREAT AND THE GREEN ROOM AN ADDED PLUS. THE ONLY NEGATIVE FOR SOME IS THAT IT IS OFF THE BEATEN PATH.......BUT FOR US THAT ADDED TO IT'S CHARM.

Amazing hotel and staff!

We were absolutely delighted with our stay! The accommodations are spotlesly clean and the grounds are beatifully maintained. Blissfully slept on the most comfortable bed while lulled by the sound of the ocean waves nearby. At 7 in the morning hot coffee, hot chocolate and mini empanadas were by our door to enjoy on the back deck while watching the little birds in the bushes. Then, early morning walks on the beach. We would have enjoyed our stay even more if the weather had cooperated; it was chilly so we didn't enter the pool but did enjoy the large jacuzzi. We stayed at one of the separate units by the pool that I thought was what we booked. However, apparently the booked unit was in the main building that has a center staircase that is hard to navigate if you have any mobility issues. Fortunately, the unit by the pool was made available to us. Antonio prepared the most delicious margaritas we'd ever had which we enjoyed by the pool while we waited for our room to be readied. The Green Room restaurant dinners were fantastic. Even better, we walked there along a short path from our room. Getting to the Villa is tricky even with the detailed instructions kindly emailed by Jessica, one of the owners. I would suggest downloading a local map of the Todos Santos area to your mobile phone before traveling there. Between the map and instructions, we got there! We even stopped by the Tortugero, the turtle rescue mission along the way from downtown to the Villa.

Best place to stay in Todos Santos!

Magical! Everything about the property was perfect. Margaritas were awesome, coffee at your door each morning was great, breakfasts were tasty, staff was friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Santa Cruz. The Villa is beautiful, the rooms nice and service great. It’s 10 min by car to town, so it’s great to have your own car if you want to go into town for dinner.

Very laid back and relaxing. WAZE got us close but needs better entrance signage. Also needs better access to Green Room restaurant (especially after dark). Great staff and food. Two nights was to short. We’ll do 3 or 4 next time. Loved tower on beach, hot tub and pool..

We only stayed for 1 night, but it was wonderful......the hotel is lovely, the location extremely private, and right on the water! If we are ever in the Todos Santos area, we will be sure to stay at The Villa Santa Cruz!

The perfect place to unwind. The place is beautiful, so relaxing. Loved the extra touches, coffee delivered to you room, outstanding breakfasts. The hosts are great , go out of their way to make you comfortable .

Matt & Jessica made us so welcome from the fresh margaritas on arrival to home cooked breakfasts every morning and a fresh pot of coffee delivered to our room at 7am daily. The villa and gardens are stunning and right on the beach. We were able to spot whales and flying rays from their palapa or roof deck and walk down the beach to one of the best surf spots on the Baja Coast. Such a beautiful place. We'll be back!

Don't even know where to start. We are very well traveled and have never stayed in a place so beautiful. Every aspect was so well thought out. It felt so exclusive and remote yet was only 15 mins to Todos Santos. Beach was all ours. Water too rough to go in. You can walk forever on beach and never see anybody. Sunset over ocean: pick your spot to watch, the sand, the crows nest on beach, your room, rooftop patio and the list goes on. Start your day with coffee and tea waiting at your door. Breakfast excellently prepared and presented out of doors or in doors by a lit fire. Pool is great plenty of shade and there is always a lounge chair for you or a hammock if you prefer. Palapa / crows nest on beach is inspired! Lay in your Hammock while kids play in the sand all while you take a break in the shade. Climb upstairs to the crowd nest and recline against the pillows for a little nap in the shade while the ocean lulls you to sleep. Sit on your second floor balcony and watch the stars come out. Very little light in the area to compete with stars. Time for your evening meal in Todos Santos's : walk down beautiful glass stairs lite with multiple candles to the fountain foyer all lit with gas lites. I could go on and on but you need discover the rest for yourselves.

A magical hotel. The beach side palapa, the pool, the roof top terrace, the grand, glass tile staircase. . . all of it sang. Beautiful, and right on the beach.

Superb facilities. It is like a high end resort with just 4 rooms. So, all of the amenities but very quiet and tranquil. Excellent staff, great pool, comfortable rooms, and an awesome palapa with a crows nest out on the beach where you can sit in the shade with a cool breeze watching the surf break on the sand.

One of the top three boutique hotels my wife and I have visited. Matt & his colleague Carl could not be more pleasant and helpful. Not one detail from gas lamps and candles to Owen the turtle (who lives in the interior fountain) was over-looked. With only four rooms, this is similar to being invited to your friend's house. Enormous concrete bath tub The entire hotel can be rented with kitchen priveledges. Third floor roof is worth the trip by itself; high powered gas fire pit, benches, stand up wet bar with 4 stools, a round table, bench table and a rolling skylight that opens allowing the outside into the lower levels. A second house (inside not seen) is available for rent. Aged tequila honor bar. Large pool with hot tub and colorful chaise lounges/umbrellas. Hammocks at pool and ocean-front. Virtually no detail overlooked. If you need a break from life where every detail and every request is taken care of, here's the place. The Aguave Suite is top notch and fronts the ocean. Matt was helpful in making reservations for swimming with the whale sharks in La Paz, providing suggestions on good restaurants and showed how much pride he had in the beautiful boutique hotel he built. A tray with a pot of coffee is delivered to your 100 year old door at 7 AM. There are few ways to start a day better than sitting on a private balcony, watching whales and having fresh coffee. Fresh flowers from the estate were placed on our mantle that request. Clean, romantic and a great value.

If Villa Santa Cruz has availability during your dates, you're a very lucky person! This is the most amazing property we've had the opportunity to stay in. Everything has been thought of to ensure you're comfortable and cared for while you're there. The beach is a 1 minute walk through a garden and it's almost deserted. We didn't run into any other people for the 3 days we were there. The pool is always at least 80 degrees and you can whale watch while lounging on a pool float. Lastly, the "Crow's Nest" palapa was my son's favorite part of the whole experience. He was up every morning at 7 to read, watch the sun rise, and whale watch from 20 feet up. This place is a dream and you won't regret one second of your time!

Dieses wunderschöne Hotel nahe der nicht so touristischen Kleinstadt Todos Santos ist eine echte Alternative zu Cabo San Lucas mit seinen Hotel- und Appartment Klötzen. Grossartiger Blick aufs Meer, das man die ganze Nacht rauschen hört.

This is one of the most romantic places on earth. The staff is amazing. There is nothing like watching the sunset from the roof top of this boutique hotel. If you want privacy this is the place for you.

This is simply one of the most beautiful places you'll ever have a chance to visit. The ton is romantic; the setting right on the beach spectacular. Matteo and Jessica are two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and Matteo's breakfast cooking is out of this world. The rooms facing the sea have king beds and we slept with the windows open to the sound of the waves. An absolutely wonderful stay.

Small, intimate hotel right on the beach, with a hot tub and a pool. The perfect location for a quiet, relaxing, get-away from it all. Jessica and Matt were very friendly and gracious hosts. We will definitely go back.
