Our overall experience at Jonker Boutique Hotel was beyond expectations. The room and ambience are full of heritage charm, and although the hotel is housed in an old building, it perfectly captures the Baba Nyonya and classic old Melaka vibe. If you are looking for a stay with character, history, and warmth, this is definitely an excellent choice. The hospitality was also excellent. The reception team was very helpful even before we arrived, which made the whole check-in experience smooth and welcoming. The parking area at the back of the hotel was super convenient, especially since we could simply walk to Jonker Walk at night without worrying about finding parking. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom with bathtub was a big highlight for my two kids — they really enjoyed it! Apologies to the guests staying below us, as my kids were quite excited and kept jumping around in the room. I hope the noise was not too disturbing.

The only thing to note is that there is no lift in the hotel. However, this was clearly stated in their Booking.com listing, so it was already expected.

Room condition is not being unkept. Aircond, and fan remote were not working....

Shower room was dirty, sticky, shower faucet was faulty, standing shower was way too low, ended up I need to bent my body.....hand shower hose was too short, again, I need to bent......hand towels were not replaced during the second day...

The best customer service ive ever come across, was admitted to a hospital, on the day we suppose to check out, the receptionists help to extend our stay, help to assist us to find an apartment near the hotel and even arrange to transport our teenager kids to the apartment safe and sound. 3 star hotel but 10stars for them!! All done swiftly.. couldn't have done it without their help.. thank you so much!!

Locatie van het hotel is top. Als je naar buiten stapt sta je direct op de Night market van Jonker street. Hotel voldoet aan de omschrijving, geen overdreven luxe maar prima. Parkeerplaats voor de huurauto bij het hotel is fijn, want een parkeerplaats vinden in het centrum van Melakka is niet eenvoudig.

Een ontbijtmogelijkheid bij het hotel zou fijn zijn geweest, maar dat wisten we van tevoren.

Fabulous location, right at the end of the well known Jonker Street. Our room had a view of Jonker street and even with the Friday night market when we had the windows closed it was quiet. Spacious room, friendly and helpful staff. Room serviced as requested.

Take note, there is no lift so you need to be able to navigate narrow stairs with your suitcase. Our hot water was perfect on our first night, but for the remainder of our stay for some reason it only reached luke warm. Please note that we didn’t follow up with staff to let them know.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was literally as hard as a rock. I asked staff if they could put a mattress topper or similar to make it more comfortable, they said this could not be done. As I was there over the weekend markets there was a lot of noise from the street. I was aware of this prior to booking.

There was a leak in the shower(room 103) and a potential hazard as advised by the plumber. Management did upgrade us to a bigger room on our third night to compensate for the inconvenience.

The bathroom have a bathtub that is to high to go in which is very dangerous and there is no lift which is very inconvenient, this two problems will affect especially the elderly and children.

The historic building has been transformed into charming accommodations, preserving the nostalgic essence of a bygone Asia. The room features high ceilings and polished wooden floors, complemented by a luxurious large bed, exquisite furniture, and a lovely bathroom. The atmosphere was delightful, and I cherished every moment spent there. Just a minute's walk away, I found myself surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops, exploring every little spot. I would love to return again.

Hotel is old and in a rather doggy state. Bed is very hard. Rooms are small and you don't get any view.

I didn't like anything about the property. I came with my family and decided that this place was not for us. So I booked another hotel, and left, after 10 minutes of stay. The pictures of the rooms on Booking.com is not what I saw. Did I step into the wrong hotel?

Busy part of the area, had slight trouble locating the car parking area, and getting in. No lift, so if you have luggages, just be warned. No one to help with the luggages. Reception did not understand English, so slow check in. Card for the room did not work, so ended up getting the mastercard to open our room. Best decision I made was to leave.

Fijn hotel op goede locatie. Restaurant beneden is meerwaarde. Gezellig om te ontbijten en 's avonds wat te eten.

Ontbijt viel wat tegen, meer Aziatisch gericht. In het restaurant beneden kun je voor weinig geld lekker ontbijten.

Lovely room, good bed, shower, air con, WiFi and everything very comfortable. Staff were fantastic, we arrived late as we had a late flight but they waited for us no problem. This time we only stayed one night but I would stay here again for longer.

Not a problem for us as it wasn’t noisy but you are in the heart of Malacca here. Saturday night is the night market and the road is closed so taxis cannot enter. Just to be aware of this if you are arriving then. Also note there is no lift in this hotel.

Location is great and directly accessible to night market. Car park lot is available behind the hotel and the eatery linked to the hotel has good coffee and kaya toast breakfast.

It's a bit noisy as a stage performance is just outside. No issue if you are out, but not possible to take a afternoon nap when rehearsals are on-going. Nonslip mat is not clean and we didn't use it at all. Need to be careful during shower.

The room was spacious and even though facing the entrance to Jonker Street it was not really noisy (as stated in other reviews), especially at night. WiFi was working well and the bed was huge. The hotel is conveniently located directly at the old town's entrance with many shops and restaurants around. A walk to the river takes less than 10 minutes and you can reach Melaka Sentral bus station within 10-15 minutes using Grab.

Especially the bathroom was a little run-down and moldy and on the last day of our stay there was practically no water pressure (but electricity was working so no power outage). Also there was no possibility of having breakfast at the hotel and also the staff was not very helpful (we wanted to order a taxi to the bus station and the staff told us just to use Grab).

The location is great. It is close to all of the central attractions in Jonker Street and by the river. Family room was great so we could all be in one room. The shower was lovely and big. Hotel parking was very convenient. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good value for money.

TV programmes often switched off and on. Furniture is dated but clean.

Nulla da segnalare. Se mai sono io ha scusarmi con loro per il fatto che dopo la serata di capodanno ho purtroppo lasciato in stanza molti coriandoli che mi erano rimasti addosso.

Overall, it was a fine accommodation. The location is great as it is in the midst of exciting activities in the Jonker Walk precinct, with very close access to excellent eating places, shops, street vendors and historical landmarks. This is probably the best place to be in Melaka. The staff is great and very helpful, especially Amy, Jess and Mary.
