Il a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes et s’est révélé très pratique pour cette dernière étape de notre séjour. Les hôtes ont été accueillants et nous ont présenté le logement avec attention. La chambre, au charme typiquement japonais, était à la fois confortable et agréable. L’agencement des différentes pièces est très bien pensé, permettant de profiter pleinement des espaces mis à disposition. Une excellente adresse que nous recommandons sans hésitation pour son emplacement, son confort et la qualité de l’accueil.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Our stay at the Ryokan Sansuiso was wonderful. It was a great location, just a short train ride into Shibuya, Shinjuku ect. The train station is only 5/10 mins away from the Ryokan. The area itself has a lot going on with lots of bars, shops and restaurants, but where the Ryokan itself is situated it’s very peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious enough and comfortable. It also has aircon which was needed during the heat and humidity in the summer. Lots of kombinis less than a minute away. Staff were all lovely. Would 100% stay here again if we come back to Tokyo!

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Staff was friendly and helpful. The place is super clean and organized. Staff wiped down our luggage when we arrived so you know they are serious about cleanliness. Room was spacious and had the amenities we needed. I prefer a firm bed so this was perfect and comfortable.
Other units are fairly close to each other so you may hear your neighbour but most of the neighbouring guests were considerate.

It was also a great location, on calm part of Tokyo, but still so close to the big city. Very good! We enjoyed our evening routine for having an ice cream on paths by the river, that is just next to the ryokan. We loved everything and definitely would come back.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026My Japanese style single room gave me a very affordable experience of staying in a traditional Japanese inn. Ryokan Sansuiso is centrally located to the Gotanda railway station on the Yamanote line, the Sumida river with its lovely walkways and an upmarket shopping area with great food choices. The family who run the inn couldn't do enough to help - calling taxis and providing great food recommendations. The Japanese bath and the very stylish Yukata and Haori was much appreciated as well as the little touches of daily hot water and rice cracker.

Reviewed May 11, 2026Le ryokan et la chambre étaient très propres. Nous avons dormi sur des futons confortables et avons passé un agréable séjour. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et chaleureux. Les salles de bains et les toilettes sont communes, mais elles restent bien entretenues et propres. L’emplacement est également un vrai point fort : le ryokan est idéalement situé, à proximité des transports publics, ce qui facilite les déplacements.
En revanche, le ryokan se trouve près des voies ferrées, avec plusieurs passages de trains. Il peut donc y avoir du bruit venant de l’extérieur. Si vous êtes sensible au bruit, il est préférable de prévoir des boules Quies.

Reviewed May 5, 2026Heel sfeervol hotel en erg vriendelijk personeel. Ondanks het gedeelde sanitair is het erg schoon. Het Japanse warme bad is een aanrader na een lange dag en zoveel kilometers lopen. Heerlijke handzeep en douchegel. Het bed ligt eigenlijk verrassend lekker.
Niets! Je hoort wel het e.e.a van andere hotelgasten omdat het een houten gebouw is, maar oordopjes doen wonderen.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026L'emplacement est absolument génial : le Ryokan est très proche de la gare de Gotanda et de ses animations, sur la très pratique Yamanote Line. A proximité, de nombreux commerces de toutes tailles (supermarchés ouverts tard, Convenient Stores), restaurants, et une très agréable promenade le long de la rivière. Il est à noter que ce quartier est bruyant du fait du passage de trains mais cela ne nous a pas du tout dérangés. Cela fait partie du charme de ce quartier au demeurant très fleuri et vert (en avril). Nous avons loupé leur floraison, mais il y a des cerisiers.
Les chaussons fournis sont très casse-figure dans les escaliers ! Prévoir de marcher en chaussettes ! Il faut être prêt à vivre l'expérience "ryokan" : ne conviendrait pas à des gens à la mobilité réduite : confort très spartiate, pas d'ascenseur, matelas à même le sol, majorité des chambres avec lavabo, wc et douches communes (j'avais pour ma part une chambre avec douche, lavabo et WC intégrés, très modernes, propreté impeccable).

It does get loud because of the trains, but they stop running around 12 so it was totally fine!

Reviewed Apr 14, 2026도쿄의 콩알만한 방들에서 지내다 여기 오니까 일단 다다미 방 마루향이 반겨주고 사이즈도 짱 큽니다 1-2인용 작은 방도 있던데 그게 도쿄 기본 사이즈 같고요 어매니티도 어지간한 거는 다 있고 료칸 느낌도 내라고 이런저런 일본풍 옷이나 웰컴 세트도 구비돼있어서 대접 받는 느낌까지 들구요 방끼리 다닥다닥 붙어있어서 조용조용 말하는 느낌이긴한데 사실 제가 묵은 큰 방이면 워낙 넓어서 상관 없을거같네요 저녁에는 주변에 회사원들 술 마시는 상권 있는 느낌? 역에서도 가깝고 밤에 할 거도 나름 있는거 같아서 좋습니다 30분 정도 걸어가면 시로카네다이라서 부촌 산책도 가능 굿굿 여행 막판에 온 곳이 이렇게 좋을 줄 알았으면 그냥 여기서만 지낼 걸 그랬네요

It’s about a 15-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, so not extremely close, but still convenient. You also have the option to take one more stop on the JR line. There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab snacks and drinks. The staff were very kind and made a strong effort to clearly explain all the rules and facilities in English. The ryokan itself has a very traditional style, making it a great choice if you’re looking to experience something different.
The rooms are very close to each other, so you may hear some noise from neighboring guests.
