Holiday Inn Express Fort St John by IHG

My bedroom had a water line in the wall that sounded like a fire hydrant going off everytime the someone ran water above me. It was like a pressure pump charging didn’t get any sleep as it was going off all night. Wouldn’t stay again for the price.

The beds are not comfortable, they are very hard and springs pushing through. Front desk are not helpful, was disappointing for holiday inn express as most are very well cared for and great beds and pillows

I booked Soley for the hot tub. It was out of service that day. For the price of just a regular room, without the amenities, it was not worth the price. My room also had blood splatter on the wall . Very off putting

The staff was very gracious in allowing our family to use the breakfast area to gather.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the check-in was efficient and friendly. The breakfast was good (the pancake machine is fun to watch). My only complaints would be that some of the room furnishings are getting a bit shabby and should be replaced, and I didn't care for having identical mounted bottles for soap and hand lotion; it's too easy to accidently get the wrong one.

It was easy to get to and lots of parking. Great location with restaurants, grocery stores, a mall and gas stations not too far away. The water slide in the hotel was fun!

Check in went smoothly and quickly. The room was huge and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and very filling.

Breakfast wasn’t great, no bowls for cereal. Even when asked food wasn’t great at all. Clean rooms, nice pool 🏊‍♂️

This was a great hotel for us with our little dog. Reasonably quiet, just off the hwy, and within walking distance to several restaurants and a family park with a playground. Bed very comfortable. Good free breakfast.

Due to the close proximity to the hwy we could hear large trucks at times but still slept well.

Great staff clean modern rooms

Booked a suite to host a birthday party and it was a huge success. The staff were friendly at check-in, the pool facilities were very nice (probably one of the nicer ones in the area), and the room was spacious. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Fort St. John or for anyone who wants to host a children's party.

Convenient location. Close to food, gas etc. The room was a bit dated and the bathroom appliances were in need of a little attention (no plug for the bath tub, fan didn’t work). Otherwise very comfortable stay

We enjoyed everything. We had a great stay and would stay again. My husband really liked the gym.

The rooms and beds were good and the service was fine. When we booked we were not informed that the pool and hot tub were out of commission and we would have stayed elsewhere had we been informed . I think that is important especially with children .

Only reason I booked this hotel was for the pool and slide for the kids , pool was out of order

We only stayed 1 night, but was very comfortable and quiet

On the first night I stayed my gas tank was drilled into and fuel drained and stolen. There’s a tent city behind the parking lot in the bush I did not see. When confronted after the manager told me her would not help with room costs and that parking is at own risk. $1600 for a new fuel tank installed. I recommend finding another place to stay.

Booked 4 rooms under one reservation and one credit card via Booking.com. Upon arrival the hotel staff couldn’t find the 4 rooms. Just the one room was available under my name. I showed the staff member my booking.com confirmation and he still couldn’t find the four rooms. He then told us the hotel was full and he couldn’t accommodate all of us. He then directed us to a hotel down the road and we left. The next day I saw full charges on my credit card from the hotel. After calling several times and going back a day later, they would not refund me the charges, telling me that the rooms for my coworkers were under each individuals names and we simply did not check in as planned. Will not stay at this Holiday Inn again nor will my company use them in the future when travelling to FSJ.

Staff were unaccommodating. Clearly there was a miscommunication and although it was no one inparticulars fault, they would not refund one individual the charges for 4 unused rooms. It’s not like it comes out of that staff members pocket. But it does come out of mine. Unapologetic and unwilling to help.

Great staff. Noisy neighbors. Sound proof can be improved. Breakfast starts at 7am on weekends, which is not very convenient for people working on weekends.

Pool was closed the entire duration of the stay. Having kids this was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. You should offer discounts if the pool is out of commission for the entirety of peoples stays

It was clean, the pool was very nice with the large slide and warm water, the breakfast was good, staff were nice

The staff were nice but didn't really listen to requests. I had carry my own bedding upstairs while holding other stuff after asking for them so many times, they told me they can't have say beds and I'm surprised, the room was super large and lots of room for an extra room. My son ended up falling from their very high bed as I expected he would. Use of plastic plates and utensils for breakfast was to much. Souch waste. Hard to watch

Clean newest bigger parking lot we had a boat

Great hotel. Relatively new and very well kept. Many restaurants within 5 min walk. Staff were well trained, very accommodating and service-minded. FO Manager who checked us in was quite exceptional. Would certainly stay here again and strongly recommend. Ty Ft St John Holiday Inn team.

I think a thing I appreciated was I needed a bandage and when I asked at the front desk they came back with four different sizes ❤️

Very friendly staff, easy Checkin and very convenient location. Rooms are spacious and clean.

That was over charged 50$ on two nights . 230 after tax yet was charged 280$ on both nights.

The location was good for food options, but it’s the staff that made my stay enjoyable. I forgot shaving gel and toothpaste and the front desk staff were easily able to accommodate with a smile.

Nice hotel. Homeless camp on the edge of the back parking lot was a concern.

Towing a 30' trailer with my truck presents a challenge when it comes to parking. This location had everything I needed within walking distance and parking was a breeze.

The hotel itself is a nice building, the pool is excellent for families, nice hot tub, nice pool with a fun water slide. Our room was perfect for our family, the only downfall is the room was pretty dirty. I had went down to the front desk and told them what was dirty and asked if it could be cleaned the next day, we were told yes, but during our 3 day stay the room wasn’t cleaned. On the walls there was something like pasta sauce of some kind or orange stuff on the walls and it never got cleaned. Ledges and the bathroom were fairly dirty still. The room itself was nice but it was dirty. Next time we’ll probably stay at a different hotel that is clean.

Location is excellent, walking to walmart, restaurants and mall all in less than 5 mintues. The hotel was clean and staff great. I did not eat breakfast , so cannot rate the food.
