90% of staff were very efficient, professional and helpful. Both rooms we had No.24 wand No. 30 (I think), were exceptional with with the patios for the dogs. The rooms were clean, tidy and the beds were so comfortable. The decor is much improved from our last visit.

Firstly, I placed a do not disturb on the door, 1) because we was only going out for a couple of hours and 2) we wanted to leave some personal items in the room and not carry them around. When we returned the do not disturb had been removed and the room entered. As the bed linen was not changed, I do not see the point of entering a room when we had requested not be disturbed. I could understand if we had been away for more than 24 hours or the bed linen needed changing.

Bedienung an der Reception. Ich habe Early-Checkin gebucht. Leider konnte sie mir das nicht geben, da das Mail vor Vortag am Abend nicht gelesen wurde. Kann ich ja nichts dafür. Es wurde auch nichts unternommen, dass och trotzdem das Zimmer frühen beziehen. Punkt 15:00 hat sie mir Mitgeteilt, dass das Zimmer nun bereit ist. Am Folgetag war mein Zimmer 14:00 noch nicht gereinigt. Keine Entschuldigung von der Reception, sondern, es wird schon noch gemacht….

We liked everything. The only problem we had was the lift into the hotel was out of order, which was an inconvenience for my disabled partner. However the lovely reception showed us an alternative entrance to the side of the building.

Excellent location, room was clean and well looked after. Staff were all very friendly and able to help. Would reccomended for people looking for a place to stay. Access to local spar was wonderful.

​Fantastic stay! Our room and en-suite were clean and comfortable, and the shower was great. A special mention to the staff, who were so welcoming, polite, and eager to help with anything we needed. We ate both evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and were really impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the standard of the food

The gravel driveway to the main entrance was very wet from recent rain, causing dirty footwear. Navigating the soft, damp gravel with suitcases or for those with reduced mobility could be quite difficult.

Room was overpriced and was more like a cupboard than a room. We were practically in next doors house when we looked out of the window. The shower went from cold to dangerously hot. We paid for breakfast for a friend who had joined us and there was a service charge added that we were not made aware of (we would have paid it anyway but would have been nice to have been asked first) location is fab and parking good so it did have some positives.

We loved the warm welcome, hospitality and beautiful setting of the Beach House Hotel. It felt like an authentic English experience, with a lovely bar, fantastic breakfast and a touch of nostalgia. The décor suited the setting perfectly, and the ocean views were beautiful. An easy walk into Bamburgh allowed us to enjoy even more of its beauty and history. Highly recommend!

We are dog lovers, but weren’t quite sure about dogs being guests throughout the hotel. We understand the appeal, but it did slightly take away from the peaceful hotel experience.

The location was amazing. Fantastic views, great access to bars and wonderful restaurants. Breakfast was filling, good quality food and great service.

Evening meal was good but not much option for vegetarians.

Our family room (room 8) was not very clean, a bit grimey and dirty floors. The front door also had a very poor lock and a big gap under the door too. Room, especially bathroom, needs improvements and updating.

The hotel is ideally situated and is in easy driving distance of several top attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable with an excellent bathroom and shower. Breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed, at extra cost, our two evening meals selected from the good choice menu. Throughout our stay we were very impressed by the excellent service provided by the friendly, hard-working staff. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend this place to our family and friends.

The stay was fantastic. The staff were really kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy on arrival. The breakfast was really nice there were plenty of options and we ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was spot on. The location is great right on the seafront and close to the harbour and town centre. We will definitely stay there again

We have stayed at this property before in a family room it had restricted opening on the windows this time we booked a normal room and asked if it had fully opening window and were told yes . On arrival it didn’t spoke to the staff and basically told tough deal with it . You can leave if u want . Told staff was new and it’s the law . That was the second lie as it isnt . They then said policy again a lie as another hotel they own had fully opening windows. It’s poor value for money as the room is also v small and if u have hard cases there is nowhere to put them . Drinks are expensive v the rest of sea houses. The staff at breakfast were nice which cannot be said for the manageress who was rude and didn’t even apologize. We won’t stay here again but I don’t think they really care

Parking was quite crowded.

The staff were phenomenal and incredibly friendly. The room layout was perfect for travelling with three dogs.

Food was terrible, had to send back chips that weren't cooked and send back a salad that had really brown leaves. The mashed potato and chicken were both very dry and the mains came out within short minutes of the starter plates going back so felt, and tasted reheated rather than cooked. Gate not secure on the terrace, the dogs were able to just push it open. The additional dog charge was also a bit OTT at £25 per dog for one night.. So my three westies, staying for one night cost an extra £75. And the gate to the terrace wasnt even secured for them. Had the room and staff not been so good I'd have been fairly annoyed but it's been a nice weekend regardless

Like most UK hotels it’s dog friendly but by and large they don’t bother us and staff gave us a room reserved for no dogs.

Lovely, light, calming interior. Great view from the dining room and bar. Bar and breakfast are great. Perfect location for walks and visiting Seahouses centre 5 minute walk away.

The room (15?) was quite small but fine for us generally for a few nights, especially when in and out for activities. Only one chair otherwise you have to sit on the bed. The bathroom door was on a spring close fixture. I am small but pretty fit and i struggled with opening it at times. A frail person might really struggle or have an injury when the door fights to close as they go through it. It might be a fire feature due to the door opening in front of the room door. I perhaps should have mentioned it though.

We really enjoyed our stay at this immaculate hotel. The staff were very cheerful and helpful and we found the bar and restaurant comfortable spacious and with good food options. We enjoyed the cheerful seaside theme to the hotel and the staff clothes. Definitely made it feel like we were at the seaside! The location is excellent and right opposite the beach. You can quickly walk into the harbour for boats to the Farne Islands or along the superb sandy beach all the way to Bamburgh. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained.

The location of the pier was great. Restaurant on site, food & serve pretty good. Views from restaurant and bar area very nice, overlooking ocean.

Parking is beside & behind the building. Area to unload to enter the building when raining, not there.

Location is excellent but one of the receptionists, bar and restaurant staff were friendly, I got a frosty welcome the first evening. Food was excellent ate an evening meal and a breakfast no complaints.

Receptionist I spoke to the first night was unwelcoming but otherwise ok. It is not though as it suggests on the beach

Good location , clean and comfortable, Parking on site. Watched Dolphins jumping while having breakfast through the dining room picture window. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was awesome. View from dining and bar was great. The "gym" was a bit of a walk to a nearby facility, but it was good quality.

The "deck" we paid extra for was NOT ocean view like what we were expecting. It was a small shared courtyard and not useful as a place to relax or hang out.

The hotel is in a fantastic position and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our dog was totally spoilt

Unfortunately our dog friendly room was on a corridor that a room had been painted. The smell was very bad and we had to buy our own air fresheners to leave in our room to mask the smell. Reed diffusers would have helped in the corridor. The hotel should have warned us as it definitely impacted our stay.

Fabulous location, great food, parking provided for guests. The room was clean, beds comfortable. We loved happy hour cocktails sitting looking out to see and all the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

While we opted for a skylight room, it was extremely hot even with a fan. It was room 9 and at the top of the stairs so it was very noisy from late in the evening and then again early morning.

Bedroom is small size for £200/ night and walls paper thin so any noise transmits through , noise from outside units in morning , only provided water first day , didn’t change towels one day

Skylight single was rather small & very hot but it is July & a fan provided did help but if staying again I would definitely book a single room with a window.

Great staff who all were happy to help with anything. This is a reflection of the manager who was always happy to chat and make you feel welcome. Location is fantastic, a 10 minute walk into Seahouses but far enough away for it to be very peaceful and quiet. It's a dog friendly hotel - we don't have a dog but it wasn't an issue as everyone kept their dogs on leads. Just across the road from the coastal path and about 3-4 miles to Bamburgh Castle - a really beautiful walk. Would recommend Beach House!

Have had a lovely stay, first time travelling alone. The staff are all fantastic very friendly and welcoming. The location is great just a short walk to the beach and the town. Fantastic views lovely garden area to relax in. The food is great too.

Location was very good and breakfast and downstairs facilities were all good. En-suite bathroom was fine.

Room was quite cramped with bedside tables (very basic and more like stools) squeezed in, with one blocking easy access to one of the wardrobe doors. Apart from the ample (but awkward to access) wardrobe, there was very little storage/drawer space. A 10.5 tog (winter weight) duvet cover was too hot for a July stay, especially as the window had limited opening (presumably for H&S reasons) and there was no other alternative option available (e.g. throw or single sheet etc) during first nigt of stay.,although a fan was provided. Initial request to provide a lighter duvet was told not possible, but separate sheet and duvet cover was then provided. There were also a few marks and stains on the carpet. For a relatively expensive stay, the policy of not restocking bottled water or biscuits daily seemed a bit penny-pinching.

We had such a great stay at the Beach House Hotel! We could see and hear the sea from our bedroom, and the surrounding nature was absolutely beautiful. The team was incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was a perfect place to stay with kids. We would definitely come back!

Breakfast options not great, not a big variety. We had arrived at around 2pm of which we asked if we could check in and was advised no, as check in was at 3pm, To top it up we were given a room of which was next to the entrance of the door way, it was incredibly loud with people coming in and out, door banging. Unfortunately we didn’t sleep well. Massive let down as the purpose of our trip/stay was to relax…

Lovely location. Room pleasantly appointed. Excellent bar. Food good quality. Staff , apart from a young male serving breakfast, were very friendly and helpful.

Room was located to the side of the hotel overlooking the car parking area - and the kitchen. Noise from the kitchen and (smell of cooking bacon at 06:30 in the morning) was annoying. Car parking is a bit of a nightmare as the hotel is on a private road with the local neighbours being a pain in the neck. Only one disabled parking space which was most times occupied by cars not displaying a blue badge. Hotel did nothing to get those vehicles removed. Breakfast times are chaotic unless you wish to book your slot weeks in advance. So, one day we were offered 08:15 and the next day 09:45. Restaurant was not busy at either time.

Posizione davvero ottima, a pochi passi dal mare e perfetta per muoversi a piedi nel centro di Seahouses. Colazione buona e staff molto gentile, sempre disponibile e accogliente.

La pulizia della camera è stata deludente, ho trovato numerosi peli di cane sul pavimento e persino dentro la cabina armadio. Durante tutto il soggiorno il pavimento della camera non è mai stato pulito, lasciando una sensazione di scarsa cura che ha inciso in modo significativo sull’esperienza complessiva.

Storage for clothes was pathetic . One two foot wide open wardrobe with a shelf at the top of it . Not a drawer in sight . We had to live out of our suitcases . We had to share the skimpy wardrobe with a fan and one or two other things. Would not be happy to stay there again.

It was clean and comfortable and close the the beach. The selection for breakfast was good and well cooked. The bed was very comfortable. The toiletries were lovely and smelled generous. Finally the staff were very polite and accommodating, a big thank you to them.

We only booked this hotel last minute as our original booking had been inexplicably cancelled and we were lucky to find accommodation at the last minute. The receptionist was pleasant on arrival, but our room was on the small side for the price we paid. We had a nice evening meal and the breakfast was decent and catered for my gluten free needs. The location was excellent and right on the seafront.

The bathroom door had an unnecessarily heavy closer and the room was bijou, but ok for one night's stay.

Everything about the hotel was great and exceeded expectations. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely, the staff were really friendly towards our dogs and the food was great. Would definitely stay again and recommend this to anyone that is looking for a great stay in seahouses

All the staff including Beth and Joy at Reception were so helpful. I was a solo traveller and appreciated their help and guidance. Everyone was just so friendly.. my single room was brilliant with opening windows. Beth even carried my luggage up to the room. I am retired and over a certain age so I was very grateful for this help. My room was very comfortable.. All the food that I had was scrummy from breakfast to evening meals. The views from the dining room and bar are wonderful, sea views. I will definitely go back. It is an easy walk to the harbour and into town. Bamburgh is a 3 mile walk or short drive too.. So the location is ideal if you fancy going out on boat trips, which I suggest. I did the Holy Island one and Inner Farne, as I just love puffins.

That I could not stay longer and did not have the opportunity of using the Ocean Club spa facilities.

The morning receptionist was quite dour Broke one smile and not big on eye contact -not quite the thank you goodbye you’d hope for .The receptionist that checked us in was fabulous so think this person sort of lets the side down Breakfast was a scene from Fawlty Towers No glasses so given a mug for the juice - constantly complaining on how busy they had been No cutlery -had to find ourselves Coffee pat was already plunged and had coffe grounds on the outside No fruit salad left at 0915 -no offer - my sister asked for brown bread instead of sourdough and was refused and yet found brown bread by the toaster so made her own ( she has dental issues and finds sourdough a bit tough) Generally got the feeling that having breakfast at 0930 was a bad thing and the staff had had enough -3 different servers all complaining about how busy they were We were left standing for about 10 minutes despite tables being available Luckily we were in a good mood and made jokes to each other about Fawlty towers and when my sister remarked about self service when she went to find cutlery they thought she was joking Such a shame as the hotel is well placed and has a nice feel. Get the feeling it’s luck of the draw on staff -Saturday staff fabulous Sundays staff need to have a talking to I feel

Great location, car parking, friendly staff, nice restaurant and welcoming bar. Comfortable bed and modern room with nice and clean.

Disappointed that the room we were allocated over looked the car park entrance with people walking by. The window was low and we had to have the blind down at all times for privacy. Thought the price paid was a little expensive given that all other rooms had a garden or sea view, had we have known this on booking it would have been helpful.

My third visit to The Beach House Hotel, and I'm never disappointed. There is a relaxed atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and vlean throughout. As a solo traveller, it's good to have the option of the comfy bar in the evening. Breakfast was as good as ever - Craster kippers, of course. My room was the single, but perfectly big enough. The hotel is perfectly located for visits to Bamburgh and Farne Islands trips. Will be back again next year for puffin season!

Meeting friends for the first time in 12 years! Excellent parking spaces but repairs urgently needed for potholes. Comfortable bar with sea views. very nice breakfast. Most staff very helpful and friendly.

From start to finish our short break was poor to say the least. Our room was a disabled ( not requested) room with enormous bathroom space but no toilet rolls on arrival, no complimentary toiletries and only one tap at handbasin. Discovered at 10.30pm that the TV would not switch on so no football. The door to our room did not fit properly and had to be banged shut to get it locked. Dinner was booked for 7.30pm and I had reserved several weeks earlier and was promised a window table. Well all we got was a "sit where you like" but not where we expected. No tablecloth or cutlery and thin paper napkins. Eventually someone took our order(4 sirloin steaks) only to be told 30 minutes later that there was only 2 steaks left and no crab either when 2 of us chose the linguine as substitute. "Seafood" linguine was finally agreed on. When our food arrived we got raw meat and very little fish with a few mussels thrown in. One steak returned as it was inedible and after being recooked was still not much better. Both steaks could only be described as rubbish and the pasta as very poor. Although all of this was brought to staff attention there was very little reaction and the Dining Room Manager avoided us for rest of evening. When we got the bill there were no amendments except that the 10% surcharge had been removed. When asked about a recognition of the disaster of a meal we were offered a bottle of wine. This was in response to a bill that with drinks was £180 (4 mains,3 sweets).

Room was clean and spacious and the bed was just perfect - very comfy. The beach is literally outside the hotel, with a stunning view of two lighthouses winking away at each other in the night. Staff was helpful and very friendly, and the food - both breakfast and dinner - was delicious.
