We invited a couple of Canadian visitors to join us for dinner. On arrival they were charged £10 for parking @ hotel & were told the fee would be reimbursed when paying for their meal.As they were our guests for dinner I paid for the meal. When we were checking out I asked to be reimbursed for the car parking fee that our guests had paid. Was refused, as Manager said it had to be used on day of parking. We were offered bottles of water & tray bakes as compensation. I felt this was an insulting gesture which we declined. However it left a bad taste to an enjoyable stay

We had a lovely stay, rooms were great, food in restaurant was delicious. Location was perfect.

The only downside is there is no lift which is a problem if you have luggage, but the staff are brilliant and will help you up with your cases.

Decent breakfast included and entry to the Giants Causeway Visitor centre and guided tour .The property is owned by National Trust. The hotel is literally at the Visitor centre.

10% service charge on everything, and prices are steep enough I thought for the standard of food available. I usually leave a 10% tip anyway but I'd prefer to decide myself. Cakes and snacks available are very industrial fare, and restaurant serves pub grub . No lift which might be a problem for some, but it's an old building. The bath could do with a grab rail to assist people getting into the shower.

Traditional and well maintained hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful (but slightly undertrained). Food was very good.

The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic and couldn't be better for visiting the Giant's Causeway. The staff who served us at both dinner and breakfast were lovely — friendly, pleasant and attentive, and a real credit to the hotel. We also enjoyed the food and the spectacular surroundings.

Unfortunately, the standard of cleanliness and maintenance was disappointing. Our room was tiny but adequate, although one of the lampshades had what appeared to be blood staining on it. Our son and his partner's room had several issues. There was a constant high-pitched noise throughout the night, dirty pillowcases, a particularly grotty-looking air vent and, by the morning, an extremely unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom which made them both feel ill. There was also rude graffiti written on the underside of a stool. We also found some of the more senior staff rather unapproachable. The gentleman overseeing the dining room made us feel uncomfortable. We were dressed casually and felt judged by the initial look we received. He was noticeably chatty and attentive with other diners but barely approached our table until towards the end of our meal. One lady on reception also seemed rather unfriendly when I approached her with a question, which made me feel as though I was an inconvenience. We didn't raise the room issues during our stay, and I appreciate that this meant the hotel wasn't given an opportunity to resolve them. However, our interactions with senior staff were part of the reason we didn't feel comfortable approaching them with a complaint. It's a real shame because the hotel is in an incredible location, but the cleanliness, maintenance and attitude we experienced from some senior staff really let it down.

Eine super Lage und dann noch mit kostenlosen Parkplatz vor der Tür. Auch inclusive der Eintritt ins Visitor-Center. Frühstück und Abendessen ließen keine Wünsche offen.

Das Zimmer war nicht einmal halb so groß wie die Quadratmeter-Angabe bei Booking. Es war nicht einmal Platz für einen aufgeklappten Handgepäck-Koffer. Die Größe des Raumes wird auf den Fotos im Angebot geschickt getarnt. Obwohl ich nicht übergewichtig bin konnte ich die Toilette nicht benutzen, ohne am Waschbecken und Papierhalter anzustoßen. Übergewichtige Personen dürften Schwierigkeiten haben, das Zimmer überhaupt zu betreten

The accommodation was functional, pretty much as expected. Pleasant surprise to find the booking included a guided walk and access to the information centre, all through the National Trust.

The food at dinner was uninspiring. Equivalent of bar food anywhere. The chair at breakfast was the most uncomfortable ever. A higher than expected bill at checkout. Had to query as no invoice presented. Turned out an additional bottle of wine had been charged to our room.

The position at the Causeway is superb as you can access the Giants causeway once day travellers have gone. Staff friendly but room a little basic.

Il punto di forza assoluto del Causeway Hotel è sicuramente la posizione: si trova letteralmente a due passi dalla Giant’s Causeway, una comodità impagabile se si vuole visitare questo luogo senza dover spostare continuamente la macchina. Inoltre, soggiornando in hotel si ha diritto all’ingresso gratuito al Visitor Centre. Le camere sono un po’ datate, ma hanno un’atmosfera molto “English” che personalmente abbiamo trovato piacevole e coerente con il carattere della struttura. La colazione è abbondante e propone una buona scelta di piatti tipici della tradizione inglese. Abbiamo provato anche il ristorante dell’hotel e ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Nel complesso, una struttura che consiglio soprattutto per la posizione davvero unica, perfetta per vivere appieno l’esperienza della Giant’s Causeway.

Das Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Daher auch noch Badewanne statt Dusche.

Hôtel bien situé et très proche de la Chaussée des géants. Le repas était simple mais bon et généreux. La chambre mal insonorisé. Petit-déjeuner sans plus. Il n'y a plus grand chose si vous arrivez plus tard et les aliments ne sont pas remis.

Qualité du petit-déjeuner; peut-être améliorié. Sympathie des serveuses du petit-déjeuner.

Property was very nice, location was perfect. Included access to Giants Causeway, included parking at hotel. Restaurant and food were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable.

Fantastic location, a small walk away from the Giants Causeway itself. Our room was quiet and well furnished, with the most comfortable beds. We had a great night's sleep. Food was excellent. Major selling point for the hotel has to be the staff. Calmly, cheerfully efficient, they attended to our every need. We would unreservedly recommend a stay here.

Spent a wonderful relaxing 5 days at The Causeway. Wonderful atmosphere and staff were lovely and helpful. Was great to be in such a spacious room with plenty of storage! We loved sitting out on the terrace looking out to the sea. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice.

Location was amazing! It was at the top of the hill going down to Giant's Causeway and adjacent to the visitors center! Had a great dinner and a good breakfast before we headed out.

After a long, strenuous day-there was no life (elevator) to get our luggage up the stairs-but it was not a deal breaker by any means.

The location was amazing, we done the guided tour of the causeway which was included in the booking, the staff were excellent, breakfast was delicious, couldn't fault anything, will definitely recommend, the room had a beautiful view of the causeway and a private terrace seating area

Gorgeous. Lovely hotel, very comfortable. Just the best to stay to visit giants causeway. So nice to be able to walk down to the stones first thing in the morning.

The one bit of feedback I’d offer would be on the scrambled eggs: they were overcooked and watery. But everything else was great.

Breakfast was delicious as always and a great choice. It’s a great tourist spot and the walk down to the causeway stones is lovely. Get the bus back up as it’s uphill and a bit of a trek!

We were put in room 14 at first,and with two large suitcases we couldn’t move ! We went to reception and mentioned that on booking.com it stated that our room was 24 meters square ,and room 14 wasn’t

Location fantastica. La camera ampia così come il bagno. Comodissimo avere compreso nel costo della camera l'ingresso al sentiero. Ed essendo già lì al mattino si può godere del sentiero prima dell'arrivo di tanti visitatori. Buona e varia la colazione. Personale gentile.

False fire alarm had gone off in the middle of the night. We were in shock! It was our second stay at this hotel and the fire alarm had happened again affecting our sleep. I don't think we will be back anytime soon.

The location was excellent, and our triple room was spacious and comfortable. We particularly liked the balcony/sitting area, which was a lovely addition to the room. The breakfast was very good, and the staff serving during breakfast in the morning were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

The property itself felt quite old and dated and could benefit from some modernisation. The room door was also quite difficult to open and close, and the bathroom ventilation could be improved. Unfortunately, we also had a very disappointing experience with two members of the restaurant staff while trying to order dinner. Their manner was quite rude and unwelcoming, which was particularly surprising as we have rarely experienced this kind of response in a hotel or restaurant. This interaction negatively affected what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

The hotel is overpriced. Staff very badly trained and the whole place was scruffy. No cooked breakfast available. Came to check out the lady on reception was not aware when we asked for discount.

Great location to Giants Causeway, historic hotel with friendly staff. Great spot to stay if wanting to spend a lot of time at the Causeway, which has paths along coastline that most do not explore. Best benefit to staying here is that you can explore the Causeway after the tour groups have left and in the morning before they arrive

No elevator, so bringing heavy bags up stairs may be laborious. There are staff to help if needed

Old and musty… dinner sub-par, staff was polite but not truly friendly, bed clothing did not feel clean, toilet had mould… overall avoid it!

Exceptionally run Hotel. The staff are well organized, polite and very helpful. Great range of experience, from new to hospitality (but clearly being trained in good customer service), to veteran Chefs, and servers who provide excellent leadership.

Leider wie fast alle (?) Hotels in Irland mit schweren Teppichböden ausgestattet. Bad/WC Kombi sehr klein.

Ottimo punto per vedere il sekciato del gigante. Stanza comoda, unica pecca faceva molto freddo in stabza, il calorifero piú grande non funzionava (aveva il pomolo rotto)

A beautiful hotel in an exceptional location. The staff were very helpful and really looked after us. Free access to the Causeway visitor centre was also a bonus.

The location was fabulous. We had a sea view from the room, and watching the sun set from the terrace was exceptional. The room was spacious, and the furnishings comfortable. Staff were amazingly helpful.

It would have been good to have a mini-fridge with some complimentary bottles of water, especially in such hot weather. A fan in the room would also be helpful.

La posizione top direttamente a giant’s causeway questo permette di non dover pagare l’entrata e essere lì al transito e la mattina presto quando il luogo si svuota e’ impagabile e vale il costo pagato Ottima colazione servita in una sala ricca di fascino

Sicuramente le camere avrebbero bisogno di una rinfrescata sono un po’ old stile ma comunque io le ho trovate belle

Mi è piaciuta la location, ovviamente di un fascino senza pari. Non male la colazione al mattino con tutti i prodotti e piatti cucinati al momento.

Lo staff potrebbe essere più gentile e sorridente. Il bagno della camera tutto da rifare, la vasca addirittura pericolosa perché con un grande dislivello rispetto al pavimento noi avevamo la stanza familiare il cui letto matrimoniale oltre ad essere veramente piccolo aveva un materasso vecchio e deformato, impossibile da dormirci.

Das Hotel ist alt und man merkt es...die Betten, bzw. die Matratzen haben schon was erlebt, kein TV in dem Zimmer, das Frühstück nichts besonderes. Für das, was Hotel anbietet, einfach viel zu teuer.

The location is fantastic with expectational views. I love the old style guest house, well maintained but not modernized. The checking staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious for our evening meal and nobody had any complaints. The rooms were clean and very spacious. Overall we truly enjoyed out stay here.

We had large suitcases and there was a flight of stairs to our room. This would be ok when you are travelling light but we had large suitcase. The staff did say they would provide assistance which was great.

The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. Even when the restaurant/bar was really busy due to the poor weather outside, the service levels remained high. A great place to spend time come rain or shine. The proximity to the Giants Causeway is of course a major selling point too.

Cooked breakfast wasn’t the best for the price

Excellent room recently refurbished with good tea/coffee supplies.

Evening meals were disappointing given the upmarket type of property and room.

The staff where amazing, particularly Monique who was so friendly and accomodating. The staff where also really helpful sorting out our booking when I hurt my foot and we had to leave early.

If we had been there for a full week I think we would of found the menu a little light on choices. However, the team where really helpful finding me option I could eat with intollerances.

The property is obviously close to Giant’s Causeway.

The property is old, and desperately needs a refresh. The decor and facilities are very dated, faded, and crumbling. Our room had multiple problems and we wound up getting a refund. Although the location is good, I do not recommend- there are multiple other local options.

Breakfast was great and the proximity to the Giant's Causeway was a lovely bonus. The hotel itself was traditionally styled which was nice. The views from our room were beautiful and the room configuration for our family was brilliant.

The room and ensuite were a bit dated and could do with a refresh.

Car parking at this busy UNESCO site and Interpretive Centre was well managed by the hotel parking attendants. Breakfast and the Restaurant in the evening lifted the level of disappointment.

On booking the accommodation, we expected a 3* service and hotel to match, but oh how we were disappointed. Admittedly the Hotel is next to the Giant's Causeway Interpretive Centre and a short walk to the UNESCO site; and this generated plenty of tourist interest with coachloads turning up. The Hotel's exterior needed some attention as did the interior which appeared 'shabby' and 'grubby'. The rooms being on the 1st floor with no available lift excluded any traveller/tourist wheelchair users. The receptionist even doubled-up as a porter carrying other guests' luggage upstairs whilst attending to our check-in. We had booked a room with a sea-view, indeed there was a glimpse of the sea over the coach park. Our room was adequate but not up to the star rating as advertised, the shower was unpredictable and seemed only to produce cold water more often than not. A trip to reception to complain in pyjamas was not an option. Carpets throughout the hotel seemed 'tired' and 'old'. Looking at the overall picture and although the staff were friendly and the level of catering [Breakfast and Restaurant] was high, this did not detract from a very expensive disappointment.

Patio windows in our bedroom were very dirty. Hotel is very tired and scuffed . Cleaning materials sitting on table middle of dinning room during breakfast is not a good look .

Struttura d’epoca ma con amenità curatissime. Stanza familiare grande per 4 persone. Vista spettacolare, colazione abbondante e preparata anche su ordinazione, dolce e salato. Cena nel ristorante di ottima qualità, con prezzi normali. Un posto da sogno

Causeway hotel is the best located hotel of you want to see the Giants Causeway… the visitor centre is literally built onto it… entry to this and the causeway are free! We felt the whole experience was very good value for money. Hotel rooms are nice, clean and comfortable but as the building is really old, the only negative thing about the place was not having a lift, but the staff were amazing and helped with the luggage to room process… We experienced the restaurant for lunch and breakfast… both to high standards. Atmosphere inside and around the hotel is good, lots of visitors from all over the world..it’s a bustling place in the daytime, busy with coach tours and tourists. But peaceful later in the day, slept wonderfully . Location ✅ Room quality ✅ Restaurant ✅ Car Parking✅ Value for money ✅

Can’t beat the location and views. Rooms are clean, quiet and spacious, though on the older side and tiny TVs. The disappointing part is the restaurant. The food is average and the staff doesn’t smile at all. Do not expect a great experience. Beware, the kitchen closes early so if you intend on dining in plan on arriving early. They won’t make any effort.

The location could not be beat. Wow! The Causeway Hotel is located right next to the Giant's Causeway and is old in the best of ways, evoking a sense of a bygone era. You can not put a price on being able to visit the Giant's Causeway late at night or early when you wake up. The included breakfast was fantastic. There was a basic continental buffet which included fresh made jam and tasty pastries and then there was a small menu from which to order which even included a vegetarian breakfast option and a vegan option. Wow! The only negative was that the beds were hard and the bathrooms are dated, but everything else made up for that.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable spacious room, comfortable beds and great terrace for having a coffee outdoors or sit in the evenings. Exceptional staff who were welcoming and friendly. We’ve been a few times and staff remember us. They have a low staff turnover as many have been there for years and looks like a well organised staff team. Meals are lovely and breakfast is the best. Right by the Giants Causeway so free parking at the hotel and free entry to the visitor centre. Well worth a visit.

Staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. We will return again!
