Nindal the Office Manager and Bonnie Zepherin the Owner were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. The accommodation itself is well maintained. We had access to a pool which although stated as shared we had it to ourselves as the place was so quiet and peaceful with wonderful views. We were in St Lucia for a Memorial so the peace and quiet was appreciated. We received mangos from the gardener and a parting gift of St Lucian Rum cake from Ms Zepherin. It is very convenient not only for the airport but to a wide variety of restaurants. A real home away from home. I would recommend hiring a car which they happily arrange for you. We highly recommended this resort.
The serenity of the place despite the howling winds. Lol. It gave a sense of peace and calm. The natural beauty around the place enhanced the experience.
The only rooms with AC were the bathrooms, and no fans were available.
This property was exceptional as is Bonnie who owns it . We rented the private villa with a private pool . There were 5 bathrooms in total in this villa , with 3 spacious bedrooms. Overall, the accommodations were as extraordinary as the view , local culture and amenities . We give this 5 stars plus !
Very nice villa. Daily housekeeping, fully equipped kitchen, Washing machine downstairs. The pool was also nice and kept clean and the view was very nice. I ate most of my meals sitting on the front porch because of the great view.
Did not have breakfast ther
The road on the property
Wonderful location. Comfortable and clean rooms Great staff - friendly, helpful, accommodating. Loved it. Definitely recommend it.
The place is really a paradise. The staff is amazing, very helpful and caring. Please don’t hesitate to book this place you’ll love it
Even though is far from the great beaches is easy to rent a car and have great time. Owners are super helpful and very welcoming, true hospitality.
The castle in paradise was so beautiful and clean. The villa with the private pool was awesome. If i ever go back to st lucia best believe Michaeljackson will be there back in villa number 7 at the castle's in paradise resort.
They made accommodations work for a short stay last minute!
The only one thing I didn’t like was the AC in the living room was not working. Which was a very small inconvenience compared to our overall experience
The environment was very welcoming with beautiful grounds and flowers. Very quiet and Tranquil and the Villa was kept very clean.
No mesh on the doors leading to the balcony to keep out the mosquitoes and lizards.
It's a great choice for staying, and it's quiet and peaceful.
A fabulous stay at Castles in Paradise where Alina and Bonnie made us feel more than welcome and were happy to help with anything we needed. Spacious apartment and balcony that offered beautiful views of Savennes Bay. The pool and surrounding gardens were maintained very well and provided an extremely relaxing stay. We felt safe with 24/7 security on hand and were able to come and go as we pleased. Would recommend getting a hire car for your stay as this will allow more freedom to explore the Pitons and sites at Souffries (just under an hour drive away). Accommodation and pool were fantastic but Bonnie (the owner) being so personable and offering suggestions of sites to visit made the visit unforgettable.
Staff was friendly; great stay. Beautiful well laid out lodging. I highly recommend
we loved everything specially the customer service AMAZING, felt like we are a family
Miss Z the owner treated us like family. It was so nice to see someone take such good care of their property and care about their guests.
beautiful property with wonderful staff and amazing views
A wonderful week in St. Lucia! Castles in Paradise is a great place to chill out and relax. It’s away from the crowded streets of the North Island and very close to the international airport for US travelers. Bonnie, the owner and resident innkeeper is very attentive to guests needs. She and Alina in the front office are the best and Alex the driver is super friendly and very knowledgeable!
This property was breathtaking! The grounds of the property were beautiful and serene. Our villa was very spacious and clean, the views from the balcony and the roof deck were outstanding. Bonnie and her staff were friendly and very helpful! It is a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience! Would definitely recommend this place to everybody!
Yhe property was clean both inside and out. Yhe office staff, Ruphena was super amazing. Our flight was delayed by 3 hours both flying in and out. She waited for our arrival after her shiff was over. The place was simply beautiful and very comfortable and relaxing, and the view took our breath away. We are making plans for next year. I like it better than the resorts because of the privacy, space and quiet. 5 🌟
We truly enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing!
By far the best place we’ve ever stayed! We stayed in Villa 7 for 5 nights. The private pool, view of Savannes Bay, the full kitchen
The property and staff were amazing! The fact that Bonnie stopped in to check on us every day made us feel like we were family. She chauffeured us around one day and filled us in on unique aspects of Saint Lucia. Her love and pride for her country is contagious.
been there before
nothing
The property is a gated property with very pleasant immediate surroundings. There is no beach or restaurants within walking distance. You would need to have a rental car for getting around easily
Beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Spacious villas with wonderful views. Bonnie and her staff are friendly and helpful. Patrick was an excellent find - he was recommended by the property as a driver, and we hired him almost every day either to take us out to a restaurant or beach, or on a full day tour - one day to Castries and another to Soufriere. There is no beach within walking distance, nor is there a nearby restaurant or grocery store. Apparently the resort next door, which was closed for pool upgrades, has a restaurant that is open to the public, but we're not sure what it would be like. Anyway, Patrick took us to where we needed to go, for a reasonable fee. It is a very quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas. We enjoyed ourselves, as we were not looking for nightlife. However, be aware that you will either need or car, or Patrick!
Firstly, I would like to say that the staff were very welcoming. The property was excellent and very modern, kept clean and up to date. The outside views from the balcony, was also outstanding. I would definitely go back to Castles In Paradise and I would highly recommend this place, as it was also very peaceful and I did not get bitten by Mosquitos either! Thank you for a enjoyable experience
This property was so unique! It was breathtaking, serene, and so plush! One of the most Beautiful properties we have stayed at.
This property is truly amazing! A short time before our trip we decided to do a vow renewal for our 20 year anniversary. Everything that took place exceeded our expectations! We were truly blessed to find this property and it was a magical experience. The owner and staff made the experience exceptional! We really enjoyed staying at Castles in Paradise and the views are breathtaking!
It would take me several pages to write what I really want to say about this magnificent locationCastles in Paradise in St Lucia. We love to travel and often times don’t want the run of the mill places we want different and unique. We were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and wanted to renew our vows and as soon as I called the owner she and her staff were fast at work to make this happen(2 weeks before our trip). I had no idea what this renewal would look like and it exceeded every expectation I had from the wedding planner Marcus to the photographer Ustace. So backing up to speak of the property it is serene, beautiful and unique. The view is breathtaking! I would recommend a few things that made our trip most pleasant and that is Patrick he is a taxi driver that took us anywhere we wanted for a reasonable fee. He was amazing to say the least and he usually picks up castle of paradise guests at airport. We did not want to rent a car because of the winding roads and I think they said most cars were stick shift. Patrick was at our door when we set a time and we could call anytime. One thing I loved about our trip is that we were able visit several High end resorts to utilize their property and eat at their restaurants which was amazing to see other places, Sugar Beach was breath taking. Our driver waited for us and it made the experience so nice and Yes it was affordable. He even brought us fresh Mangos one morning. We were so pleased with this mans work ethic and his
It was a very beautifully situated place, with everything you need to spend a comfortable week there: daily housekeeping, staff is very helpful, daily pool cleaning. NB: British electrical plugs, so if travelling from Europe or North America, make sure you bring a converter. Although we had some at the house in a draw, but just in case. Voltage: 240
Amazing views over the bay. Lovely pool and shady terrace. Only 10 minutes from the airport so really good after a long flight. Supermarkets about 10 minutes away in Vieux Fort (recommend going to the further one.) This place is isolated and you do need a car, but it is very peaceful and quiet and away from all the main touristy bits which suited us. We drove to Soufriere one day (1 hour scenic drive) and visited the town, volcano and mud baths. Also visited a lovely local waterfall and swam in the pool (all accessible easily). Reef Beach café nearby is off the scale good. Were travelling with young children and elderly relatives so enjoyed the space and freedom that the villa offered. We stayed in number 7. Wifi free and very good. Would thoroughly recommend if you are a more independently minded traveller and looking for space, calm and luxury.
The property is literally 7 min from the airport, which is great. But Castles in Paradise, should be better known as “Canines in Paradise”. Dogs barking all hours. Then, good luck trying to find places to eat around you. Slim to none. We found a supermarket about 10min away, thankfully, as well as Domino pizza and KFC. That’s it, on this side of the island. We pulled over to a hut on the side of the road just pass the airport and purchased food from there. Upon checking in to Castles, we where offered a private chef that would cook for us; $40. Per day, per person, per meal. After reading someone else’s review I’m glad I didn’t. During my stay, i had an emergency which i had no choice but to end my trip. I purchased the insurance from Expedia, “A WASTE OF MONEY”, If your familiar with Bugs Bunny Cartoon; In order to file a claim it must have to be during a Hail Storm in July on a Tuesday and a baby Zebra.... I explained my emergency to the owner, with hopes we can come to an understanding and get 1/2 a refund. I only stayed 2days. She claimed she would but Expedia was the problem not her. I contacted Expedia and they where more then willing to work with me, yet the Owner, each time contact was made with her, just played games saying she didn’t have any information on the booking at that time and we needed to call back because office was closed. This literally happened as I was parked outside the office and Expedia called her.
Overall, a a Travel Gladiator, it met my requirements for comfort, security and ambiance
Great location away from the crowds, excellent views with an amazing breeze. Very clean, safe, easy check in easy check out. Great all around, be sure to hire a car if you plan on exploring the island.
Breezy, beautiful, condo. We really enjoyed our stay. Clean, spaciousand fully equipped. Ruphena was extremely responsive. One thing to note is that there is no cleaning service on weekends and the condo is on second floor. Check in and check out was easy.
Fabulous stay in unit #5, which is huge. We had 2 bedrooms plus a movable divan so comfortable for 5 with amazing views from both the veranda and the roof top terrace. With sand everywhere the washing machine was a big bonus. We arrived on Xmas day and they had someone there to let us in and get us started on our holiday. They were very helpful with directions and setting up some activities while we were here. It is an hour drive to Soufriere but we enjoyed being away from the business of the major tourist towns and actually enjoyed the driving on the windy roads and seeing the sights along the roads. Best snorkeling we found was in Anse Cochon; not only fun snorkeling but a nice restaurant that was not too pricey and we could sit anywhere we wanted on the beach. Both Sugar Beach and Anse Chastanet also had good snorkeling but the public was restricted to a very small section of the beach as the resort took up the larger portion. Also we swam and played in the waves right near Castles at beaches just past the airport. The waves were great fun and even rented a kayak at The Reef restaurant and used in the waves. TOTALLY recommend this lodging as a great place for adventure and then very quiet at the end of the day.
this is a great property. Just note you'll need a vehicle to get around. Not much going on (yet?) at the south end of Saint Lucia
I liked that it was clean, in good shape and quiet. But it is in the middle of nowhere and you need to rent a car or get a cab to get anywhere. The nice beaches and cities are at least 1 hour away. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even when I lost the key to the apartment and they had to exchange all the locks they only charged me 40 dollars, so yes they are helpful when they are around but that means usually never. You can call them but it didn't help me very much as I couldn't call in that country without my phone bill getting too much and there is no phone in the apartment. There is no main building to eat something either. Other than that, it is really nice.
We chose Castles because reviews were positive and price was comparatively reasonable. We were very satisfied and liked the fact that location was private and quiet (understand that this is not for everyone but perfect for us). We like doing our own cooking and having a quiet place to retire after daytime excursions. The views were very nice. Having the rooftop accessibility is a nice plus. You have the best view of the stars from there! The 2 bedroom villa would have easily accommodated 4 people and was very roomy for my husband and myself. Had all modern conveniences and the grounds are very prettily landscaped. Bonnie is very sweet and concerned about meeting all our needs. We appreciated her loaning her own coffee maker to us for our entire stay. If we go back to St. Lucia, this would be the place we would stay.
From start to finish, this was a beautiful vacation. The villas are very beautifully situated - right near the airport, beautifully manicured grounds and clean. The staff are warm and friendly and the manager/owner takes great pride in the business that she operates. It is my sincere intention to return each year, such was my stay!
The Villa was very spacious and very clean. There were lots of fruit trees. The area was very safe. Loved the deck view of the full moon and the beach. Bonnie was awesome. She met all of our needs. Staff was extremely professional. Daily room cleaning. Fresh towels. Will definitely be returning again. Worth every penny
My family and I had a fabulous time at Castles in Paradise! It was wonderful to discover this delightful oasis of tranquility and beauty so near the international airport. We have been to St. Lucia many, many times through the years and stayed many places throughout the entire Island , but this one was our favorite by far. You are away from the other busy tourist areas in a lovely very private, well appointed villa. Our villa had a great view and our own pool. You can imaging for a family get away with kids this setup would be hard to beat. Bonnie the owner and all her stay were incredibly helpful ! For instance they went out of their way to accommodate every request, even willing to let my wife a realtor in Florida use their office computer to do so emergency business that came up.
We stayed at Castles during the Christmas break 2015. It is a little piece of heaven off the beaten track!! Our villa was very very spacious! Too much room for the 4 of us with an amazing view. It was fully equipped with kitchen appliances, air conditioning in every room. Very clean in a very safe neighborhood away from the tourist area. We rented a car so if was perfect for us. We were about 45 mins away from Soufriere where alot of the attractions are such as sulfur springs, gros piton, tet paul nature hike. The drive is beautiful, the roads a bit tricky but after a day or so you get use to it. It is very easy to get around St. Lucia! We travelled into Castries one day which took about 1 hour. The grocery store is about 10 mins away we managed to find a spot to get fresh fish which was a wonderful treat. We are very happy with our stay and would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet area away from all the tourists.
We stayed in Castles at Vieux Fort mid march and had a fab time! The villa we had was exceptionally well maintained and huge - it easily could have catered for 6 rather than just the 2 of us! The complex was really pleasant, tucked away and provided a great platform for a St Lucian adventure. Bonnie was also really helpful and provided some great tips and advice of where to go and what to see etc. Hiring a car is essential for those wishing to see St Lucia as Vieux Fort is about 10 minute drive away from Castles. For those wishing to have a St Lucian adventure like us, I would advise hiring a jeep as some of the roads are particularly precarious, albeit with stunning views! We toured the entire island within a week with our highlights being the snorkelling at Anse Chehastanet, Sun down at La Dera, Marigot Bay (rainforest restaurant), Pigeon Island, the drive through volcano, Sugar Beach and a Rainforest adventure which included an impromptu beer with some locals in a side of the road bar! Overall, we had an amazing time and would totally recommend Castles in Paradise - thank you Bonnie and team :-) PS thanks for the tasty rum cake!!
Great views of the bay. Best to have a rental car since not near tourist areas, but otherwise located within reach of all other areas of the island. Villa was spacious, pool excellent, cleaned daily, excellent setup. All staff very helpful.
I travel a lot but this villa exceeded my expectations. An amazing villa, on a hilltop overlooking the ocean. It was much cheaper than the all inclusive resort nearby, and much more private and exclusive. Maid service, chef on call and masseuse were just some of the amenities. It was so magnificent that we decided to rent here long term.
Its definitely a place that I would return to again and again. Very comfortable, welcoming and relaxing. I love it
