Staff and food were both excellent
Sink in bathroom too tiny
It was a convenient location on our way to Cornwall. We appreciated the evening meal we could book.in advance and the smaller portion option for the Fish and chips. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was hot and my husband had the freshly made 3 egg omelette.
Food excellent. Very clean
Excellent
Breakfast was decent. Room is ok and bed is comfortable for the one night stay. Staff is friendly.
Lovely room, nice view, friendly staff and a nice breakfast
The lighting in the room was a little low.
Everything was lovely about my stay Would definitely recommend and stay there again
There was nothing I didn’t like Could not fault anything
Everything was excellent

Lovely vroom. Good food
Spotlessly clean. fabulous food breakfast is excellent. Staff were polite and friendly. Outdoor brilliant views. Would 100% recommend.
Nothing.
The room was very clean, a very comfortable bed and breakfast was excellent. A great location to visit and looking forward to returning.
Sadly the restaurant was closed and the menu looked fantastic, hopefully it will be open to try another time.
Lovely room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff. Wonderful breakfast Great location.
Breakfast was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water.
The Honiton room was very comfortable but a little dark in the alcove where the dressing table is and where I sat to do my hair and makeup. The dressing table would also benefit from a glass top as this is also where the tea/coffee facilities are.
Very clean and tidy, friendly staff
Friendly staff. Great food. Comfortable bed.
Not a big problem, but for a big man like me the room was a bit small.
Everything lovely dog friendly pub with great value comfortable rooms. The food was excellent well cooked and tasty. The staff were proud and friendly nothing was too much trouble
Nothing
Fantastic place to stay, excellent location for us. All staff were really nice and welcoming. Evening meal which we booked and breakfast which was included were both fantastic quality and enjoyable
The look, the service, the room comfort, the shower, the food
Location to far to walk to anything and taxis were very expensive also no fridge in the room to keep water etc cold. The pub also closed to early on Sunday 6pm is very early when there is nothing else around.
Always a lovely welcome from Tina, Wayne and their staff. The rooms are light, airy, beautifully decorated and very roomy and the food is appetising and plenty of it. I never hesitate to book the Greyhound for a great location to explore the Devon area and for a relaxing holiday.
Leaving 😀
Straatlawaai, vensters mochten daarom niet open. Het meest beviel ons het eten.

Loved the property, amazing breakfast
breakfast was really good good choice of items served on hot plates which is very good, our room was nice tea coffee and water always renewed staff were always pleasant and polite
stairs up to the room were rather dark a little bit more light would be appreciaated
Location Ideal for our needs at the time. Food was very good. I agree with the shorter menu in order to keep the flexibility of opening times. Excellent sized room. They have managed to provide good accommodation and restaurant service while maintaining a traditional friendly pub atmosphere. This is not easy to do.
Nothing
Quiet country setting
Our second stay here. The pretty bedroom was spotless with a comfy bed and modern ensuite. We enjoyed our evening meals and breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients. Staff were very polite and welcoming
Decoration - location
Food over cooked very busy
Loved the overall look of property, very inviting Internally had loads of character and it was all very well maintained Breakfast was excellent
Excellent room although it was quite small it had everything we needed and was very clean

Staff,facilities and food all excellent
Lovely old coaching in. Lots of character. Lovely team working on reception, bar & restaurant. Very comfortable room.
Nothing!
Lovely country inn
Staff were super friendly But management greeting ☹️☹️☹️
Very friendly staff and very clean. Only stayed one night but would recommend it. Tasty evening meal and freshly cooked breakfast. .
Nothing - old inn so no air conditioning.
It was well maintained and clean. The garden space was relaxing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return!
Nothing ….or maybe a swimming pool?
Excellent food. Well presented

Very welcoming. Clean and comfortable. Lovely food.
Very comfortable & friendly
The bed was rather small
A lovely country inn, run exceptionally well, everything has been given great attention to detail, staff are great, food is fab, cleanliness is immaculate, room was comfortable, outside areas all neat and tidy. loads of parking, good beer. nothing not to like
Nothing NOT to like
The extremely friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was exceptional, very comfortable mattress with cotton sheets. What first attracted us was the beautiful exterior so we checked it out and certai nly were not disappointed. We will return.
Lovely breakfast

Had an evening meal and breakfast both were great
Couldn't fault anything
Friendly staff. delicious food and comfortable room

Everything ! Lovely food and well stocked and brilliant breakfast!
Nothing
Evening meal was very good. Breakfast was outstanding. You could choose, mix and match any item on the menu. And good portions. Staff were incredibly friendly. Room was clean and tidy.
No air conditioning. Didn’t expect it with such an old building but the temperatures were so hig outside. But at least they had electric fans in each room!
Fab! Lovely comfy clean cosy good food friendly staff
No full length mirror. A real MUST!
The room was good, the meals were very good and the staff were excellent.
The shower head to vertical riser rail fitting had a missing plastic piece which meant the shower head was insecure and would fall down if touched.
Lovely old world property, well maintained. The restaurant is clearly very popular and the food was excellent. Nice big car park with plenty of space, next to a pleasant garden with seating.
Spotlessly clean not one speck of dust in our room. Bed and shower were excellent. Very dog friendly Food amazing plenty of outside space and parking All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would say if you want to eat then book a table as they get very busy. Can’t fault this lovely country pub
Nothing
the food and service was very good, especially the cooked breakfast.
It was in the middle of a heatwave and a few more fans would have been lovely in the dining room. Although we accept that the weather was exceptionally hot.
Excellent room, excellent food and staff. Not cheap but quality comes at a price. Would recommend.
Nothing to dislike.
Clean rooms. Easy to find. Outside sitting area Some staff were helpful, others abrupt.
Catering was not a good experience. For example I arrived at 20.31 at the restaurant to get something to eat after a long drive to be informed that the kitchen closed at 20.30 so no food was not available. There was no near by alternative. I found the meals to be below standard for example scrambled egg at breakfast was flavourless; ribeye steak at dinner was not sealed properly and the sauce provided was the consistency of water and again flavourless. I would not recommend the food offered as not value for the price paid.
Beautiful property and lovely staff. Great beer garden which was needed in the heat! The room had a fan, but was incredibly hot all night - but with temperatures in the 30's this was totally understandable. Breakfast was great too
Very comfortable and welcoming. Excellent food.
Beautiful thatched pub with gardens with great food
Arrived during a heat wave but believe the room could have been prepared better. Shutting the blinds and curtains well before we arrived would have helped
My room was bright and clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was super. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was pretty good for evening meals, with a pub type menu - slightly more ‘flashy’ than many pubs. The car park was generous. The designated smoking area was really nice - seats and flowers, not just ash trays! The inn is very handy for the crematorium.
There was no lift to the rooms and, although I did get help with my bag, this was done as a favour - not something you could rely on. My bathroom door hit the wardrobe. The quilt on the bed was tucked in tight on all 4 sides. Why???? A quilt is not meant to be tucked in like a blanket! I cannot sleep tucked in tight - it hurts my toes and stifles my breathing. Pulling the quilt out also pulled out the sheet on all 4 sides, resulting in sleeping on a wrinkled sheet! I couldn’t tuck the sheet back in due to my medical conditions - the mattress was too heavy for me to lift. The doors were locked at 10:30pm, after which the only way in or out was via a keypad on a fire door, at the top of a fire escape at the rear. I struggle with stairs due to my health. A keypad or other entry system on the ground floor would have been very helpful.
Room had everything we needed and was very clean. Dinner was good, food delicious and not overpriced, atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. Efficient and pleasant staff. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful!
Nothing really.
Helpful, friendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean. Obviously popular with the locals which is always a good sign. It's a far way out of Honiton so car is essential. Food really good.
Nothing
Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was good. Dinner was delicious.
Not a criticism but an observation, menu could be extended for pescaterians, vegetarians and vegans.
Staff are always brilliant and very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great with a good range of options.
The quilt cover unfortunately had what looked like dried spots of blood on the underside which was a little off-putting. We also noticed a lot of cobwebs and a spider in the room, but we appreciate it’s an old building so that didn’t bother us too much.
We had a very comfortable and happy stay.. Very dog friendly. We would not hesitate to stay again.
Nothing!
Excellent grounds for dog exercise

clean and tidy. bice location which suited our needs for the area we were visiting
the bar at the kiction would close early as not much passing trade.
Amazing pub with amazing staff and its dog friendly as well.

Good breakfast
It was very old and quaint. Very clean, lovely staff. Food was great (evening meal and breakfast). The bed was quite comfortable
Our room was really small. We couldn't open the bathroom door fully due to banking it into the wardrobe. We couldn't open the shower door fully because it banked onto the towel rail. The pillows were too hard and uncomfortable.
Clean, good breakfast
Room too small for the price!
This was a great country pub with nicely appointed rooms. The shower was powerful and it was spotlessly clean All the staff were genuinely friendly. We had a great meal in the evening and the breakfast was to a high standard.
Nothing
Lovely room, superb food and great staff. Would 100% return again.
Cosy room, as advertised,. The breakfast was ok, although the Chef should take note that the orange juice starts to ferment when left out too long. The evening meal was exceptional The staff were very friendly and helpful The dog was friendly. The price in the bar for drinks were a little higher than anticipated The food is a medium eats pub, you wont get a meal for much under £18.00 Normal sized portions. They provide with the tea and coffee in the room, lactose free milk if you request it. Nice biscuits too. Lovely view across the fields and the main road. Room was quiet apart from the odd lorry and Tractor rambling along the lane. The shower kept its temperature when set to warm/hot, the pressure was good
The bed was rock hard. The extra duvet provided didn't make it softer for that reason I didn't sleep in the room well. The shower was smaller than expected, The shower wouldn't turn down to cool or cold. The water pressure made a banging noise whenever someone used it, no matter what room you were in, you heard someone else's water pressure but you didn't hear their shower or toilet flush. You didn't need an alarm wake up call because of this.
Rooms are comfortable
10am checkout. Croissants are stale
A lovely place to stay, great clean room, lovely staff and good food.
Nothing to dislike.
Fine
No special extra dishes on the restaurant menu

The warm welcome by staff. The well laid out room and the good

We had a great time at the Greyhound. It was a little way outside Honiton but close enough. The service we received was great the food was very good. The room was a bit small but adequate. The shower space was big but there was little water pressure, so the shower was not very strong. A couple of bottles of water were supplied every day.
The water pressure to the shower could be improved.
