Hotel Real Rex

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location close to the Principal Plaza. Walking distance to so many attractions. Wifi needs to be improved, but I would definitely stay again.

The property is to old

Awesome very friendly kind and courteous.

Great room view to the plaza. Beds were confortable, room was big and had a table and chairs to have a meal. Bathroom was big and plenty of hot water

.

Dirty, Old, Smelly lots of humidity. Breakfast is not event continental. It only includes bad coffee, toast and cheap orange juice

Centrica

Stayed there many years ago

No creo volver.

Great place to stay for the price. The beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The building is past its prime so the AC isn’t the best but other than that, it is a budget friendly and clean place to stay.

.

Not a good A C and lil smell of cigarette on the bed but it was just one night

Las luces de algunos pasillos no prenden

The staff and management are great. very friendly, polite and accessible. GREAT SERVICE ALL THE WAY.

Very quiet property

the hotel was very dirty. in the bathroom there were shampoo stains on the wall, like they never washed the side of the showers. Carpet was with stains, was terrible. I don’t recommend this hotel

Great

The experience was Heart warming and lovely. It brought memories from childhood.

Conveniently located at Downtown Leon. Parking lot secured. Front Desk staff friendly...... It lacks a good food place.

It is an old hotel for the rooms and it smells like old.

Staff friendlyness, and location. Property pictures do not reflect to outdated condition of the property.

Really good price, The Hotel is very centrical it has parking. Rooms and beds need some upgrades but over all it is a good Hotel.

Nice place to stay. Comfortable, large room. Close to popular tourist attractions. Just a block and a half from a wonderful plaza with fountain with food all all around.

Do not trust the pictures that you see. This Hotel is so outdated and not clean. They just spray perfume on their sheets to seem like they are washed.

Awesome stay in the center of town. Had a great time visiting Leon. Got. In town for a concert. It was great.

This was a terrible expierence! I was shocked, Hotels.com did not fund me, at least partial. I expexted mire fom rhem. So many things were wrong, since we triedchecking in. Giving people keys, that were already occupied. Dirty, dingy rooms. Unpleasant service. I have an upcoming trip to Texas, family vacation. Im not sure i want to book with Hotels.com...

Room very clean, the bed mattress very hard, service very good and frenly.

Excellent location, good for the price. The only problem is that they don't have heating, which may be problematic in winter months.

Great to visit my hometown where I was born. The location was excellent and easy to walking distance in the historic centro. These are streets that I remember walking around when I was a kid. Love been back home. Had a great time visiting. Leon has lots of good food and goodies to eat.

I Like the Location, Close to Shops and Restaurants, Good Parking Facility. Hotel Needs Up Grade COMPLETELY.

The good thing about it was the location.

Friendly staff and clean hotel.

Great location!

They say you get what you pay for. But after staying here for only one night I now rather pay more to get rest. You can hear others people’s conversations from next door. The sheets and towels are old. The curtains are so dirty. I don’t recommend this place.

This hotel is steps away from the Centro of Leon. Parking is offered free of charge. Staff is nice and recommended places to buy great leather goods for a great price. Rooms offer a great view to the Centro park of Leon. Room price is affordable but keep in mind that this is an older hotel. Definitely will stay here again on my next trip to Leon.

We only had one night to spend but the Hotel Rex was ideal for its reasonable cost and closeness to the central plaza and the centro historico. We had a reasonable breakfast but our coffee was cold!.

I booked because in Expedia it showed rooms available so I pay and I get to the hotel to find out that there is no rooms and it took the front desk guy about 10 minutes to tell me that cause he was on the phone (he wasn’t on the phone when I told him about my booking) overall bad service I have been trying to get a refund and it seems like I won’t be able to do so because of their policies or something like that but just didn’t even stay there I don’t recommend it at all and it didn’t look as nice as the pictures

The staff was pleasant, it’s situated in a a great place. Walk out right to food and all kinds of stores

Front desk service was excellent in all you get what you pay for was satisfied

It's a decent hotel. Building is quite old, and with that comes old carpets, old elevators, etc. But rooms are clean, and smell good (none of that old building smell). Beds are of satisfiable quality and firmness, and restaurant is cheap, yet good. Also, internet in the room and in the common areas was surprisingly good. Oh, and parking is included in the price, which is quite important in downtown Leon, as parking is often a problem, and it is not cheap. Overall, I'd say I would recommend this hotel, given it's price/value ratio, but just be aware, if you do not like old hotels, do not come here.

I booked 2 nights.Staff were excellent clean room However heating system not working I inquire about it I was told heating system NOT WORKING FOR ENTIRE HOTEL??? I was freezing both nights ( unusually cold for season)..the only good thing it was whithin walking distance of the places I wanted to see.

Breakfast that came with the stay was not what they said. Restaurant staff was rude and overcharged for meals we ordered.

The facilities have problems with the internet connection.

The room was a little worn. The bathroom had been recently remodeled, great. Great location the down town with free safe parking. The price was right.

We speak a little Spanish and can usually get by. But no hotel staff spoke one word of English or french(can't fault them there)! Although they were very helpful, they couldn't make up for the condition of the hotel-smelly hallways in need of upgrades, reeked of cigarette smoke even though it's non-smoking, room cleanliness so-so, also in need of upgrade. Not a good place for the price!

Great location. Bad smell inside the room, no fridge inside the room, cable was not working all the time.

I think this hotel is trying hard to upgrade their image but they have a long way to go. Lobby and hallways smelled terrible..carpets are in terrible condition. The elevator smelled like vomit and by looking at the carpet it is possible that I am accurate about source of smell. Some strange looking characters around so I would not bring kids to this hotel. The expedia images tell a different story. The rooms were not that bad though. The bathroom was also fine. If you are in a jam and cannot find hotels in Leon then this is fine, otherwise wait until they complete upgrading and raise pricess to attract different clients.

Broken wall lamp, broken chair, broken window, it was not anything like the pictures posted should had booked at Howard Johnsons

Good cost/benefit, close by downtown and some beautiful churches. Pilows and beds are not so confortable. a/c is noicy when activated.

Nice Hotel close to everything. The only problem was that the elevator was never working.

Good hotel exelent price greate staff is not a 5 start hotel excelent location

The room was small with a TV that only worked 2 of 3 days, no ice available at night, no bar open after 7, carpet was old. Staff was nice but only spoke spanish. The local traffic in the late afternoon was terrible.

I would stay here again. It's in the heart of Leon!

the pictures at Hotels.com and actual pictures are totally diferent. The place is old, specially mattress.
