The place is nice, the rooms are nice, the breakfast is good (although you will be served the same food every day and your dietary requirements will be mostly ignored), but in my opinion the quality of the service is way below what you expect for the price you pay. I must say that one young gentleman serving breakfast was exceptionally nice (the others barely speak English and seem to be bored by their job).

I booked a “superior suite” via Booking but was offered a “superior room” when I arrived. I could upgrade to one of the suites if paying more money in cash. Paying by card would increase that price even more. After some discussion we got a “royal suite” and I ended up paying 1800 EUR for 7 nights (two people, breakfast included, adding one extra night). To be fair, the “royal suite” is also an upgrade of a “superior suite”, so part of that extra money is expected. However, I felt like that I did not receive the suite I booked in the first place, which forced me to upgrade and pay more. Not nice. While checking out I had to pay the equivalent of 16 EUR for our morning coffee, although breakfast is included. We did not take any coffee on the first morning and we skipped two breakfasts as there is no option of having even a sandwich if you leave the hotel before breakfast time. When you spend 260 EUR per night, I think you can expect some free coffee for breakfast (only tea is included). My wife had to wait 1h45min to be served her breakfast while I was away, although she was there at 8:30am (so when breakfast starts). Not acceptable. If you do not request the room to be cleaned, it will not be. Again, for 260 EUR per night I expect the room to be cleaned every day without me having to ask for it, and water/instant coffee/tea fully replenished (done only if you ask). This especially because of the inherent nature of a “cave” room: walls and ceiling constantly loose sediments, which is totally fine/expected but needs extra care to not have your bed sheets and the ground covered with dust/fine gravel. We only received a very small bottle of soap (for two people) when we arrived, which was used for 2-3 showers. We had to ask twice to get more soap and shampoo. Finally, it’s really nice to have a fireplace in the room, but you are kind of discouraged to use it unless it is very cold and only for a limited amount of time (and operated by the hotel staff)...

It was a great stay.

It was a unique experience staying in a 350 yr old heritage place. It was our first time in a cave hotel. Golden Cave Suites had all the trappings of a modern hotel while keeping up with the old cave look. The owner told us that the walls will keep crumbling a bit because it is made of soft rock. The breakfast spread though limited was fresh and service very good

We had a terrible experience with the hotel and I would STRONGLY recommend not to visit this hotel. The reception was arrogant and was not a pleasant experience. The cave itself was okay but without air conditioner, I would definitely not recommend during summer season. It was very hot (even though the hotel said it is cool in the summer). I asked for a fan. The hotel said “if you think logically the fan won’t help much”. I was just amazed how rude it was by saying that and how arrogant it was to use the word “logical” in that context. The guest was asking for a help (we felt very hot) and the hotel said that… I would say, throughout my 10 years of traveling experience, this hotel’s service was by far the worst.

Everything. The owner and his family were very welcoming. They assisted with just about anything we requested and provided information that helped to make the stay enjoyable. Breakfast was good and plenty. The bed was comfortable, and the room was cleaned(swept) daily. Bedroom linen and towels were changed daily.

Lighting. It was darker than we expected, but I understand that this was due to the fact that it was a cave.

My recent stay at the golden caves was a delightful experience. The hotel staff were warm and helpful,The room was spacious, clean, and with all the amenities to cater to my need. and the hotel's serene view was the cherry on the cake,. The hotel has facilitated with the wonder breakfast, and The hotel's location was perfect, allowing me to explore the surrounding areas with ease. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.

This was our first cabbadokia experience and we chose this hotel after reading the comments. I must say the this hotel has surpassed our expectations. It’s a family run beautiful unique hotel with stunning views every room is different and design with beautiful antique furniture. Rooms have jacuzzi some in the bedrooms. The breakfast needs a review of its own. Probably the best “serpme kahvalti “ ( big breakfast spread on sharing platters) if we weren’t staying in this hotel we would come for this breakfast only it’s that good. It even includes gozleme ( wrapped Turkish pastry with cheese) and freshly baked cookies home made chips fresh fruit I can not comment enough. The hotel manager also have been super helpful and arranged us other activities like horse riding Turkish night cabbadokia red tour and baloon ride he arranged all our airport transfers with the best prices possible with the best tours. This was a surprise for my husbands 50 th birthday and I must say this hotel made it extra special for us. We travel around the world including far east and this experience made it on our top three. Thank you for an amazing stay. Five stars ⭐️

Total hospitality from this family run cave suite hotel business from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. We felt pampered throughout our stay. We loved staying here. And we loved Urgup. Goreme, nearby, was much more touristy and that was reflected in a lot of the prices in Goreme. I would highly recommend the Golden Cave Suites for an authentic cave experience in Urgup.

First of all, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the cave room it’s a experience that you definitely should have, and here was exceptional. The staff at the hotel is very helpful and kind, always available to help with our needs. The room was cleaned everyday and decoration was a 10/10, the breakfast was super rich and delicious. Thanks Uluç and all the staff that took care of us during our stay!

Nothing to complain.

I went in there with my family. It was a wonderful experience to stay there. The staffs are very good. The room was fantastic. It was a new experience for us. Sunrise and sunset views are amazing. It’s a very quiet and easily accessible place. There are many good restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Food was very nice. We all really enjoyed the stay and I highly recommend this place. Staff were kind and attentive to every request. Amethyst room was an exquisite cave with a perfect layout. Fireplace and Hammam platform was a definite bonus. Breakfast was superb and authentic. Terrace view was breathtaking. We felt very welcomed and cared for.

This hotel was awesome! We have three kids and without us asking they added extra beds to the living room for the kids. The kind bed was huge and fit my husband and I and our 3 yr old. The hotel is small but perfect. The suite however was huge. The bathroom and bath was perfect. The breakfast spread was unbelievable. Within 200 yards, one of the best restaurant called Prokopi is located. It’s fancy, but absolutely worth it (and currently quite affordable with US conversion). The owner will gladly help you book different rides and tours. It was a truly amazing experience. I would highly recommend this place. Everyone in this town is so welcoming, it’s really a pleasure to be there. Absolutely book it!!

The layout, comfortable beds and big bathrooms. The breakfast was amazing.

Great facilitie. Beautiful room with good hospitable staff. Very helpful they arranged everything for us to make our trip easy and more enjoyable. Highly recommend. The owner does visit personally to make sure the guests are in comfort.

It was just okay. They had a dog who would bark a lot when you tried to enter at night and that was scary. Plus it's not that walkable to eating places especially if you are with kids. Breakfast however was wonderful and fresh and they have us early breakfast as we had a flight. The owner is quite helpful however if you like going out and walking around then this place is a bit far from centre.

Our stay at Golden cave suits was extremely enjoyable. The ambience and decor of the place was very pleasant and creative, and the hospitality of the hosts was truly heartwarming. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and it was a wonderful end to our 13 day stay at turkey. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Cappadocia to check out this place!

Like the hotel but little expensive

I cannot thank Uluc enough for the amazing stay. He was very helpful arranging hot air balloon trip, airport transport and even gave us wonderful recommendations. Not to mention the amazing cave suite that we upgraded from standard to queen. Definitely worth the money! Uluc Teşekkürler

Golden cave suits is an ultimate cave resort and this place and resort has my heart.The hospitality there is just splendid and they treat you like a family.The owner himself and his daughter are always on there toes to help and guide you in whatsoever matter.I had my wife’s birthday when when I was staying there and they left no stone unturned to make it the most memorable one.They managed to decorate it so well.The rooms are super spacious and luxurious.The breakfast is too good in fact the best one we have had in our whole trip to turkey.We had an early flight and they went out of the way to prepare the breakfast just for us early in the morning and I can’t be thankful enough for that.Dr (owner) and aisu, you guys rock and you guys know the true hospitality, they are the sweetest and they will always greet you with a smile no matter how late it is. I am definitely coming here the next time I do cappadocia.If you guys are looking for true hospitality and luxury this is the place.

The Hotel is very nice from a scenery setting and the rooms are great! There are many options for rooms which makes it easy. Staff is really helpful and polite and go out of their way to help you in anything needed. Great place and very close to the city of Urgup!

Place, staff owner, vibe, view everything is just perfect.. One must stay here for lifetime memories golden cave suites has given me some real golden memories❣❣❣ Also special mention about the lovely food they serve..👌 Owner's pet tarcin and casper are cherry to the cake. Do not hesitate if its out of goreme as thats the beauty of the place that it is secluded and gives a very calming and luxury vibe at the same time.

My husband and I stayed at the Golden Cave Suites for a few days. The first thing that caught my eye was the name of our room, Garnet. Since they have 12 rooms they named each one a gem stone. I thought that attention to detail was very cute The rooms have a very cozy & romantic atmosphere. The hotel gives you a warm bed & breakfast feel. The staff was amazing. They kept everything very clean & made sure we had everything we needed. The food is authentic Turkish and was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Capadocia. The manager also gave us a discount on a couple’s massage right in the privacy of our own room. Some rooms have fireplaces. All have jacuzzis. It was very pleasant. I can’t wait to go back!

We have been there for a family tour and rest. Hospitality of crew lead by Uluç Bey, was great. The room style with chimney fireplace was astonishing. It worths to visit. The breakfast was simple and nice. The mascot of the place is dog-tarçın. I shared its photo. Enjoy the place!..

Hotel acolhedor, com funcionários educados e solícitos! Fiz um checkout cedo e solicitei um café da manhã, que foi feito com bastante carinho pra mim e minha esposa levarmos no transfer. O quarto na caverna é muito legal, só achei o banheiro muito escuro. Café da manhã bem gostoso, típico da Turquia e com pães e queijos bastante saborosos!

Staff was very welcoming, dealt with our needs straight away. Overall cleanliness was good, we travelled by car therefore we had no issues reaching anywhere but it’s certainly in good reach of city centre by 5-10mins walk. Good quite location, with a brilliant dog named Tarcin which my 2 year old daughter loved to bits

IT WAS A GREAT HOTEL WITH LIMITED NO. OF ROOMS AND STAFF, MR. FETHIYA IS THE ONLY ASSET TOTHE HOTEL, HE WAS SO NICE AND HUMBLE LTHOUGH HE COULD SPEAK VERY LITTLE ENGLISH BUT IN HOSPITALITY HE WAS JUST TOOOOO GOOD. WE HAD A VERY LATE CHEK-IN AND AN EARLY CHECK OUT HE REALLY MADE OUR STAY COMFORTABLE EVEN HE ARRANGED THE BREAKFAST EARLY FOR US INSPITE OF BREAKFAST TIME BEING AT 8:00AM HE MADE A NICE BREAKFAST FOR US EVEN THOUGH HE WAS FASTING AS IT WAS RAMZAN TIME. ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT THEY KEPT ONLY -1- BOTTLE OF WATER, WE HAD 2 ROOMS BOOKED AND THEY SAID TO USE MINIBAR FOR EXTRA AND WHEN I SPOKE TO THE OWNER HE IMMEDIATELY ARRANGED FOR ADDITIONAL WATER IN EACH ROOM BUT WE HAD TO ASK FOR IT. THEY COULD HAVE SIMPLY PUT -2- BOTTLES IN EACH ROOM. THE ROOMS WERE NICE AND PROPER CAVE ROOMS THEY HAVE LIMITED STAFF IN THE HOTEL BUT ARE EXCELLENT, ROOM SERVICE WAS ALSO NICE, BED/PILLOW WERE GOOD ONLY THING WAS TOWEL HAD HOLES IN IT. REST ALL WAS TOO GOOD. IT IS NOT IN GEROME BUT APPX 10 KM AWAY, BUT YOU CAN WALK IT TO THE CENTER BUT RETURN IS DIFFICULT AS IT IS IN SLOPES SO CLIMBING BACK YOU HAVE TO STRAIN YOURSELF. THEIR GOZLAME WAS JUST TOO GOOD FOR BREAKFAST WITH DIFF. TYPES OF CHEESE.. OVERALL ENJOYED MY STAY WITH FAMILY..

Otel yetkilileri cok ilgiliydi. Kahvaltisi guzeldi ve otel odasi konforluydu. Gayet memnun kaldik. Bir de odalarin birinde kucuk de olsa bir akrep cikmayaydi iyiydi.

Bu kadar güleryüzlü, yardımsever bir işletme ilk defa gördüm. Doğru yerde doğru mekan doğru insanlar. Kesinlikle önerdikleri yerde yemek yedik ve önerdikleri firma da ATV ve at turuna katıldık. Aktivitelerde öteki firmaları gördükten sonra ne kadar doğru yerde olduğumuzu anladık. Kesinlikle gidecek kişilere önerim burada konaklamaları.

Good service quality. The manager - ALi - was very welcoming, and ensured we got good vegetarian food. Although only 2 rooms were occupied (considering the slack season), Ali ensured all staff was available for our comfort. However, don't 5 start hotel kind of comfort. The location is good, 10 mins walk from the Urgup market. There's a excellent restaurant 5 mins way - Ziggy - a nice place to have dinner.

We booked this hotel site unseen, and were so glad we did. This was the coolest room we have ever stayed in! The staff was wonderful (Thank you Ali), the rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable. The walk to town was easy and there were wonderful restaurants just down the road. I would suggest this hotel to anyone, it was AMAZING!!!!!!!

Very helpful and friendly owner and staff at a lovingly restored cave residence. I would have appreciated a pool or some other comfort to enhance leisure time at the hotel.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff but 5km to goreme .

We stayed two days. Our cave room was unique with excellent facilities. The buffet breakfast was good. Staff was polite and accommodating. Ali, the manager, was excellent in all aspects. Whatever our needs for activities be it a rental car or hot air balloon ride, he was able to arrange them quickly and efficiently. I would stay here again if I come back to this region and would highly recommend this hotel!

Unique hotel that offered panoramic views which was great at breakfast. In a quiet area and the staff was very helpful about finding local attractions. We'd stay there again!

The hotel rooms and facilities are very nice and comfortable and the view is beautiful. We stayed in a very romantic suite with a jacuzzi inside one of the rooms. The staff did everything they could to please us. I really recomend this place in the amazing Cappadocia.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Golden Cave Hotel! The hotel itself is unique and beautifully restored from the cave living quarters and stables it was 350 years ago. It is located within an easy walk (or 6 lire taxi ride) from the town, which had small shops, restaurants, and unrestored caves for exploring. We were personally attended to not only by Ali, the hotel manager, and the other staff, but by the owner of the hotel himself, chief of medicine at a nearby private hospital. Each morning started with a delectable Turkish breakfast, served out on the balcony area when the weather was warm enough. Ali, who spoke perfect English, then arranged for all of our transport and activities, including hot air ballooning, a Turkish evening with dinner and show, and a tour to the underground city and open-air museum with an incredibly knowledgeable, English speaking guide, so we never felt like we were left to fend for ourselves. Even our teenagers agreed that the Golden Cave Hotel stay was the most magical and perfect part of our incredible week in Turkey!

Great Hotel!!!

I had a wonderful long weekend at this hotel. I cannot say enough about the great hotel staff and owner. They were very helpful and friendly and good at arranging tours and providing recommendations. The cave rooms were absolutely spectacularly finished and very comfortable. My only issue was there was a big group staying while I was there, who were very loud and woke me up at all hours of the morning and night. I would suggest that thicker doors and windows be installed on the front of the rooms to absorb the sound better. But that was my only complaint during my stay here. Really, could not speak more highly of the hotel and would definitely stay again.

This hotel was just wonderful; the room, the staff everything about it was fantastic

Spent 4 really enjoyable nights there. The manager was really attentive and the staff were good at providing for our comfort. A short way out of town but the terrace view more than made up for that. Huseyin arranged for a days sightseeing trip and a dawn balloon flight both of which were excellent. He also suggested a drive for us which again was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay
