Aircon was not working

I Could see, feel touch even the beach right in front of me

The security guard stopped my praying even though I wasn't loud :(. he is the 1 that gave the staff a low rating cause every other staff member was exceptional.

View, room layout, friendliness of staff all good. Digital journey excellent. SPA facilities were excellent with regards to staff and treatments. Jacuzzi a bit tired. It could benefit from better mood lighting. Food at restaurants was good.

Parking garage a little grim

The facilities and restaurants excellent and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were good just feel it was a little tight with space but it was clean and comfortable. The vibe of the place was lively. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will return again.

The place was beautiful and convenient. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We were able to watch the dolphins and whales right from our room. The staff were also friendly and welcoming.

Our aircon did not heat up the room and the water spilled out of the shower due to the glass that moved.

You can hear the ocean in your room.

Great View

Water leaked from the bathroom through the floor into the room. Bath plug didn't seal properly. Parking was very tight

Breakfast was poor. Had booked breakfast with my room and had only one breakfast. Terrible food and restaurant needs a revamp. Passage leading to lift near restaurant and other areas narrow and needs upgrading.

I liked the easy access to the beach,the sea view from my room. I enjoyed the food (Had the best burger and chips it was simple,but tasted sooooo good). The restaurant patrons ,housekeeping and security staff was very friendly. Met some great people at the beach and had a lot of fun.

I found the 10/11 shift receptionist unfriendly. Been to several hotels in KZN and it was my first time encountering a front desk employee who was non chalant,she gave the impression that she did not want to be there,almost unhappy. The establisment could make use of her colleague (2 pm shift) who had a smile and gave a warm welcome to guests She was efficient and communicated really well. (That's the first impression that I would like to experience when on holiday).

The views

No shower caps, cracked bowls, sliding door not aligned, lady that cleaned our room didn’t do room service properly. Curtains doesn’t cover the entire sliding door in the lounge. Bedroom tv wasn’t working called maintenance numerous times. Paying close to R7000 and still not offer shower caps even when we asked for them. Was advised by receptionist they don’t offer them.

The cea view and “small” breakfast

Waiters or one Waiter can do better next time, especially male one, maybe even being gentle, polite, and smile, instead of thinking we buddies that leave with them somewhere else.

Staff wasn’t as friendly as before, had to wait ages to get our breakfast, just for a glass of water it took 20 minutes. I was quite disappointed with their service and staff this time

Great food especially at Polipito restaurant. Friendly staff at restaurant. Great location, beachfront.

On Friday it was very noisy with loud music from the Dj hired by the hotel. Besides promises that the event will end by 09h00, it went until 10h30 after several complaints. The unit was not very clean, we had coacroaches running around. The bed was broken. Poorly maintained building & kids play room.

Live entertainment, food at the restaurant was very good. view from our apartment was great . excellent parking . Staff pleasant. Spa was wonderful according to wife and daughter

Possibly More blankets , and some heaters during winter would be great Maybe a small area to be able to light a fire. The gas fire is great for a braai, but no place to light a fire.

Location on the beach is fantastic. Rooms are all sea facing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms have a self catering facility that was great.

Being out of season the staff could be a little more attentive, had to go look for waiters once or twice

My room didn't have a kettle or teapot🫣 Some of the bars were closed couldn't get drinks There corridors are very cold and windy I also suggest changing the aesthetics (more cosy)

Locatie, uitzicht, vriendelijk personeel. Overdag gezellige sfeer, avond snel alles leeg en dicht. Konden om 19.30 al niet meer poolen of darten.

Zwembad veelste koud, bubbelbad net zo koud. Oke we zijn er in de winter maar dit is niet te doen. Appartement mooi qua ruimte, 3 slaapkamers en mega groot terras. De staat viel echter tegen. Badkamer oogt vies, schimmel, ramen sluiten niet meer.

The place lacked signage to direct guests out of the parking to reception and to the beach access. Also, if you are booking your stay with breakfast included, it would have been nice if the reception staff informed you during check-in,where breakfast would be served and that the breakfast had a limit of R130 .

Rooms were well equipped. The view was amazing and access to the beach fantastic. The Pools are lovely with lots of entertainment all through the day for kids.

A buffet breakfast would have been better for more individual options.

undercover Parkings are too small and cramped for big vehicles like mine. I drive an X7. Rooms were clean, staff good, room service good. did not have breakfast as we chose to sleep in every morning but the whole vibe of the hotel/accomodation was really Nic e.

View was great - facilities were amazing - loved the restaurant's.... The staff were incredible throughout - so happy and friendly and accommodating. We loved the beach access Our little studio apartment was just perfect for the two of us and we really didn't need to self cater because we found the restaurant facilities so affordable with fantastic food!

The shower flooded the bathroom floor a bit!

Fantastic ground floor room. Great view. Relatively easy access to Beach. Good food at the restaurants and good atmosphere at the beach view deck. Staff at breakfast were very helpful and friendly.

Hotel teams right outside the unit that blocked the view. The SPA team and their Gazebo and on Friday the team Braai'ng outside the room. Our Unit had no gate so had to go back into the resort, up the stair and then down the stairs to get to beach which i felt was silly given the unit next to us had a gate, There was a massive cockroach in our room and also one at the breakfast restaurant in the Sauce basket.

That the cleaner/s did not fill the tea or coffee station and when I bought my own for the room, my stuff / Latte box and coffee was digged into and some taken. Make me wonder what else they dig in to

Reception were not very friendly Need to clarify what is included when you pre pay for breakfast so you know if you have any out standing amount to pay Bar area needs upgrading outside so much potential and space to do it Car park was awful we had to drive up the wrong side to reach our parking bay at the top Hand soap needs to be supplied in bathrooms for hygiene purposes whether self catering or not. We have never been anywhere where they don't supply handsoap. However they did supply once we asked the third day of staying. Gate was left open a few times from the beach inviting unwanted guests. The toast was terrible for breakfast only toasted one side but the musili was lovely

I loved the new renovations and many options of food and beverage options they had to offer.

The parking is a bit too small but they did offer us an undercover parking after the first night though.

Staff were friendly but no urgency..waited to be served at the restaurants ..however the managers were good and checked on us..also when you call the receptionist for anything..you have to call back a few times to get service..waited too long...rooms are not up to standard..very small and outdated.

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable with a thicker mattrass. Room 306 was struggling with hot water it was luke warn but to be fair the maintenance guys were installing / fixing things.

Some of the pathways to the rooms are smelly and not clean. The play room is far, and not appealing at all. Way too far to let your kids play on their own.

We had a great experience at the hotel - i travelled with my daughter who is 12 and we loved the experience. I moved rooms for one night because i extended the stay. Room 806 was great , its pretty small so wouldn't recommend for a long stay but the time we were there it was great. the next room being 202 had the most gorgeous view and we were in a great position at the hotel. The staff were fantastic.

There definitely needs to be more lifts as these were often busy and too many people trying to move around and waiting for the lift. No idea what would happen if one is out of order and you are on the 9th floor. Just making note of the luggage store room ;it could really do with an upgrade. I think more communal toilets would be ideal. The one near reception and the one at the pool were often dirty and there was urine and feces all around the toilet bowl with a very unpleasant smell. Its not to say that they were not being cleaned regularly but there was a large volume of people coming in and using the facilities. There was also a constant flow of people coming in who were clearly only using the walkway to get to the beach. It didnt bother me as such but if they are using the hotels amenities like the bathroom then this is of no value to the hotel and the paying guests. There were a large number of teenagers passing through and using the facilities - it did not look like they were staying there. They were really no problem and well behaved it just sort of filled the place up quite a bit. I think reception could improve somewhat. Small details that could be adressed to make it a better experience. The phones were often not answered - i also noted that in neither room was there a list of numbers to call for the spa, reception etc so i used my cell to call the reception.

There are a variety of restaurants and cuisines to chose from. The prawns were exceptional value for money, and the most amazing taste. It was lovely to sit by the pool and play Bingo.

To have the wi-fi code and how to operate the TV, on the welcome letter. We had to phone reception for this.

The location of the property is excellent, the restaurant at the property is cherry on top. The apartment was clean, the staff were very friendly especially the lady by the reception I think her name is Thandeka and Joy by the restaurant. Their service was exceptional.

Nice place for an evening before heading to the airport in the morning. Only 20 minutes from King Shaka airport so it was easy to get an Uber

La Montagne was not busy, but still u had to wait for waiters. The rooms were not fully cleaned when asked, as well as the team that never filled the shampoo and shower gel took forever. The gas braais at LA montagne as I stayed at 2 different unit did not light themselves as I had to ask for someone to come and assist. I would of expected the facilities would be in great working condition, I would say that LA Montagne lacks proper management or the teams leader are not checking up on their departments as the employees work to relaxed and don't do their job. Other than that LA Montagne was awesome and my stay was great.

I was in bed after a long drive when i was called to come and remove my car from the parking lot because the owner wants to park there, but who allocated me the parking??? the lady at the reception. Fortunately a matured receptionist came to my rescue and informed them that i will keep my parking because it was not my fault.

When I checked in the process took quite a while, when I eventually got a room allocated the receptionist went to physically check the room if it was cleaned which i was fine with. However, after being in the room for a bout 30 minutes and unpacking etc the same receptionist came back and advised me that she allocated me to the incorrect room and i need to move as the other guest that needs to check into this room is on their way. I was given a new room key and told to drop the room key at reception when i was out. No assistance offered. Quite frustrating. Felt very unorginised.

Everything went well, our family room was located at the ground floor sea facing, at night you could listen to the waves. I will definitely go back with my family. lots of restaurants to choose from from breakfast till diner. Beach is very clean and Lifeguards are there all the time. I wish I will spend more day, kids also enjoy the play area without our supervision, that is how safe the place is. This place has a sea cruse vibe really love it.

The balcony next to your unit is not completely close off for privacy which means the guest next to your could easily walk into your room from the balcony. This can be concerning in terms of safety as you never know who could be booked in next door to your allowing them entry into your room
