Holiday Inn Express & Suites Spruce Grove - Stony Plain by IHG

Great value, good location, nice breakfast

The price of per night and tight fitting n thin blankets

Friendly and comfy

Spacious room, clean & good sized bathroom with toiletries. The free breakfast was great! It was quiet.

The pool tiles were not clean, pool area could use an update

Location and staff

I had two separate bookings within two weeks. I first booking was good, I was assigned Room 402. The second booking I was assigned Room 302. After checking out in Room 302, I showed signs of bed bug bites.

The room is spacious and bright. We booked the jacuzzi suite. The bathroom was spacious and the jacuzzi was amazing. Pillows were comfy.

We spilt something on the tile floor outside the fridge. When I wiped it up the cloth was dirty black which tells me the floor hasn't been washed. I had a sore back both mornings. It had to be from the mattress.

Location, the breakfast parking available

There was food left in the fridge when we went to use it the first time after checking into the room

It was a great location, clean and nice rooms

I wasnt aware that there was a pet fee. Got the room because it was cheaper than the rest, but pet fee made it the same. Also, my girlfriend went to use the bathroom in the lobby area, a male employee was in there cleaning. She said she needed to use the washroom and he acknowledged it. Then proceeded to use one of the stalls to go to the bathroom. Once he was done, she went in to use the bathroom figuring he would have left. But to her surprise, HE was still in there when she came out of the stall!

Convenient location.

No changing room by the pool

Staff was friendly and check in was fast. The room was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

It was quiet, clean and comfortable

Nothing, I liked it all

Was a very nice spacious room and clean.

The AC wasn't working, they even came to turn on the manual functions but it still didn't work, only the fan on it. So it was a tad warm.

We loved everything about this room and wish we had it for our several nights we were in town. And the AC worked great!

My only thing about the rooms would be to not have the down pillows as I have allergies to it.

Well have to get informed staff.

The location to events we attended was great, close to everything we needed.

I have no complaints at all

Everything was so clean, beautiful property. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast in the morning

The location was great

Just off motorway easy to find Perfect for getting into Edmonton Had a number of fast food outlets nearby . Parking at hotel was readily accessible. Usual hotel amenities ie coffee in lounge .

The pool was very small & in need of some TLC . Broken fittings etc Unfortunately our room was located next to the air conditioning vent & was noisier than we had hoped . Biggest disappointment was the breakfast on our second day Got there at 09.30 queued & by the time we got in no hot food left & no interest in cooking any more for us or other late guests. Fortunately we were able to have other alternative cold food options but not a perfect start to the day .

Very clean, comfortable beds. Great breakfast

This is a very nice hotel. It seems to be fairly new or at least very well cared for. The hotel is in a safe area and is quiet. The gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. Coffee was great. Parking can be an issue - you may have to park in the back area. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Clean

Newish and clean, we enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s next to a wonderful athletic centre with lots of restaurants next door. There is a nice front lobby and the breakfast is acceptable. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave too.

I politely asked if we could have a late checkout to the gentleman who I was interacting with. Another lady off to the side, snapped, " we have teams coming, the latest we can do is 11:30!" Now considering 1) the hotel was less than full based on parking lot the evening prior and the breakfast area basically empty at 7am. 2) if all guests chose to checkout at 11 and all new guests chose to check-in at 3, (both highly unlikely) that would give the hotel 4 hours to turn over the rooms. The request could have easily been met. But since it was not even considered I will base my next accommodation decision on past experience. We have stayed at that specific location in Spruce Grove many times over the past ten or eleven years. Was always treated well, new manager, new attitude?

The property was clean and well maintained.

The room was very cold when I got there

Breakfast was great, coffee ☕️ was fantastic day and night..The location was great atmosphere 👌

When we was in the pool area, Saturday night was to loud, kids hollering and jumping in the pool and parents not calming them down, even though we asked a few times no respect..price of rooms for each person but we got it sorted out

The ice machine on our floor wasn’t working and having to go to different floors for ice when handicapped was inconvenient

I was told that I couldn’t have anymore bath towels. That they had to have the dirty towels back apparently they count the number of towels because people steel towels

Room overlooked trees/park area; room was clean; beds and pillows were comfortable; pool was good and quiet during the week; walking distance to restaurants. We stayed here for one night as a little staycation. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves twice which was great. Nice facilities. Good value especially compared to Edmonton. Would definitely stay again!

I didn’t like the eggs and sausage at breakfast -hot foods could be a bit better. The other options were good and there was a variety.

Location is fantastic

Nothing. It was great

Nice hotel. Staff were great.

The breakfast didnt really have gluten free options. Im allergic and all I could do was eggs and bacon. Its always awesome when I get other options.

Noisy pool.

Awsome

N/A

Breakfast was pretty good

The heat in the suit stopped working about 9pm on our second night. It’s mid January and the fan was blowing unheated air in the room. The clerk was nice and brought extra blankets but she could only stop the fan not start the heat. Kids were already asleep so we didn’t want to pack and move rooms. It got cold. I’d expect more than a sorry about that.

Las camas son reconfortantes y cómodas

La piscina parece que tenía mucho cloro pero fue lo único

Park in the back

The breakfast was not as advertised and had very little selection. The staff were not helpful regarding the pet fees that were not disclosed ahead of time. Sticky carpet in the room

Clean

The pool area

Comfortable and good quality bedding, very friendly staff.

2 small plastic glasses only in room

Very convenient location. Great free breakfast.

We liked everything!

Enjoyed our stay. Will return.

Very nice, clean & updated hotel. Staff were super friendly & went above & beyond to assist with extra needs. Thank you!

Dirty hallways

Great area, everything you need I'm walking distance. Room and everything nice and clean.

Clean and comfortable. Free breakfast. Toiletries and makeup wipes provided.

Sadly, the hot tub was out of service during my stay.

Lots of free parking and amazing breakfast - front desk staff were friendly and very helpful with every request

Clean room

Hot tub was closed for unknown reasons and was not communicated or displayed anywhere.

Parking

Staff

Staff didn't allow for a late checkout until noon. Checked into the room, and smelled strongly of smoke...it had been recently smoked in. I let staff know and they put us in another room, but it didn't have 2 beds...it had 1 bed and a pullout. Would not provide a discount for the inconvenience.

It is a good value for the price.

Beautiful property. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

Clean room for one night stay.

Clean room and friendly staff

I KEEP GETTING LOTS OF CHARGES WHERE IT WAS NOT DISCUSSED TO ME. I NEED THIS TO BE SORTED OUT!

YOUR STAFF IS SO RUDE! I WAS GETTING MARRIED LAST SATURDAY! MAJORITY OF OUR GUESTS STAYED IN THIS MOTEL SO WE BROUGHT BUSINESS TO THIS MOTEL! I WAS 12MINS PAST FROM MY CHECK OUT TIME BECAUSE THERE WERE LAST DETAILS BEFORE I GO TO CHURCH AND THE STAFF WHO CHECKED ME OUT REALLY SHOWED BAD FACIAL EXPRESSION WHICH REALLY DISAPPOINTS ME BECAUSE HE LACKS PROFESSIONALISM! I UNDERSTAND THAT I WAS PAST MY CHECKOUT TIME BUT THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT! HE SHOULD ATLEAST GAVE ME A REMINDER BUT SHOWING A LONG FACE, THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Stayed here for 2 nights for our Anniversary getaway and it was GREAT. The Hotel and Rooms were very clean, the Stay were all so very nice and actually talked LOL. The Breakfast was AWESOME, the Pool was nice and warm which was nice as we have gone to a few pools that are like lake water. Would highly recommend.

Was an awesome stay.

Good

Clean , friendly staff. Hot tub was out of order

Second time here .. stayed for Morgan Wallen concert and would definitely come back. Nice and Clean and only 20-25min away from anything in Edmonton. Safe as well.

Nice hotel

Very convenient and nice place to stay

Amazing staff.

Lots of food options close by

It was a very nice, quiet hotel.

Excellent variety

Put in a wheelchair accessible room which we didn’t need

The location! Very close to family and the pool!! The staff were friendly!!

Originally I booked here for 1 day and then we decided to stay an extra day. I called the office (to make sure we could stay in the same room) and they said we could stay in the same room for the next day. When it came time for my husband to pay the next day, they said we had to change rooms. I was upset because I was assured we did not have to change rooms. Once I called the manager they agreed to let us stay, but this was a problem that we should never have had.

convenient location for easy access to and from Edmonton

Great place to stay!

Like that there was places to eat near by
