The only heat in the room was from a bottle of propane that was inside, and we were told that we had to leave the window open or we would get carbon monoxide poisoning if we didn’t. We were very cold and didn’t want to die. So we changed hotels.

Todo muy bien!! el desayuno sabroso. Lo mejor fue el sistema de calefacción.

No pueso dar una opinion ya que la reseva hecha en expodia no fue respetada y no lendieron alguba solucion al problema y tuve que buscar otro lugar para hospedarme

El trato del personal muy bueno, desayuno incluido muy rico, casero. Lo único que no nos gustó es que en la pagina no se especifica que en el precio que se muestra no está incluido el pago por mascota. Tuvimos que pagar extra cada dia.

Excelente ubicación a escasos metros del centro a pie. Las instalaciones son limpias y la atencion del personal es muy buena, están siempre al pendiente. Nunca sufrimos por agua caliente y dado que no está exactamente en el centro el lugar por las noches es silencioso

Tiene varios detalles que se necesitan arreglar, no hay donde poner el jabon dentro de la regadera, no hay donde colgar toallas, no hay donde colgar la ropa, falta tambien alguna silla dentro de la habitacion y alguna mesita

Para ser un menú predeterminado los precios de la comida en restaurante son un poco caros por lo demás el hotel bastante bien

One thing is “small town, old structure” and another is a decaying room. Water leaking out of the toilet(floor) , no air conditioner/fan/ventilator. Toilet was clogged, shower curtain torn apart Door only had a doorknob lock Breakfast was great!

The rooms are spacious & clean & plenty of hot water. Rare in MX. There is a lovely common room with fireplace. The staff are super attentive. Mario, the manager does speak English, but really no one else. Every morning the cook makes fresh tortillas on the wood burning stove in the dining room. Breakfast is included and depending on how many people are in the hotel can be a 'buffet' or to order if just a few. But there is always fresh made apple juice, apple sauce, tortillas,& frijoles. Other meals can be found in the many restaurants near the hotel. The location is on the main road but runs parallel to the tourist area so not noisy. About a 10 min walk to El Centro. Tarahumara in their beautiful colored clothing come to town to sell their handmade goods. Many tours are available at the hotel or in town. So many great places to see. At the Valley of the Monks your guide can show you a vortex of sorts. Or visit a cave where the 82yr old grandmother was born & now lives with 9 other family members. Seems invasive but you buy something to help them exist. I am traveling solo & felt very safe.

Me encantó el desayuno, el servicio, y este hotel fue el único cuarto en todo el viaje y creo que en Mexico que tiene calefacción en el piso, lo cuál hizo muy agradable la estancia. Estaba en construcción así que no puedo opinar del estado general, pero dormimos muy cómodo. La falta mantenimiento a la entrada pues se ve casi abandonada, pero por el precio las habitaciones están bien, sólo detallitos de pintura y listo

Staff were very nice, no air conditioning, and other guesses were supper loud up to late at night time. Internet was not good.

No cuenta con minisplit, ni ventilador por lo menos, entiendo que es una zona no tan calurosa pero siempre hace falta la ventilación de la habitación.

Had a great stay. Rooms were comfortable Had everything we needed. No ac, but weather was nice. Best part was the staff. Front staff, lobby staff all very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was delicious! Hotel is located in a good area close to grocery store and gas station. Felt safe and secure. There was some remodeling going on while there, however no issues. The front staff can direct you and answer any questions. They arranged a shuttle to the train station for us to get in El Chepe. Don’t expect glitz and glamor but do expect rustic homey feeling with awesome service!

Los cuartos sucios, con falta de mantenimiento y mala calidad, las fotos de la publicidad son diferentes a la habitación ofrecida, se escucha todo el ruido de los demás huéspedes aunque no griten. Un hotel incómodo para dormir y bastante sucio.

La habitación muy cómoda, a pesar del frío de la sierra, adentro de la habitación muy a gusto el clima. El desayuno excelente. Limpieza perfecta, las camas cómodas.

The biggest surprise for us was the heated floors in each hotel room! It was very cozy and warm especially when it was cold outside.

El hotel está bien por el precio, sin embargo, tuvimos la desventaja de que ese día cortaron el CABLE y no había nada que ver en la TV. En otro lugar no importaría, pero en Creel no hay nada que hacer después de ls 5 de la tarde. Además por la noche cierran el gas y el calefactor del cuarto no funciona. Lo más rescatable es el desayuno, todo es muy casero y delicioso.

El clima en la habitación estaba adecuado, siempre había agua caliente y el desayuno estaba delicioso (tortillas de harina, huevos con chorizo o machaca, etc, todo recién preparado), el personal muy amable, las toallas un poco viejas, pero en general lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Estuvo bien el lugar para descanso, en buena ubicación, lo único que no me pareció fue que durante nuestra estancia no nos arreglaron el sistema de climatizacion a pesar de haberlo reportado y como que no les pareció que no tomaramos los tours propios del hotel.

Reliable transit to and from the train station. The breakfast was very good with eggs made to order and fresh tortillas. The curtain in the room was thin and did not block out the BRIGHT lights from the walkway. The room was sterile with bear amenities; there was no hand towel only thin bath towels. It is located 15 minutes walk from anything else.

Muy rico desayuno y la cocinera una hermosa persona, la regadera no estuvo limpia ningún dia, el personal muy atento y amable, un super enseguida gran ventaja. Cerca del centro, estación del tren y terminales de autobuses. Estuvimos 4 días muy bien atendidos, salvo la regadera. Sí volveremos.

We were attracted to this hotel by the picture of the nice lady making hand made tortillas and other guests’ reviews. On arrival we were placed in room number one I believe, this is the older part of the hotel, I almost decided to forgo my money as they have a no refund policy, but when I saw the rest of the hotel I requested a change of rooms, the newer part of the hotel is nice and clean, much better than the original one. Do request to stay in the newer section. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast. The hand made tortillas are the tip of the iceberg, the chilaquiles (if you are lucky as they do not have them every day) are the best I’ve had, the rest is very good. If you are being picked up for a tour, keep in mind that breakfast hours are on Mexican time, you won’t be able to have breakfast and leave until close to 9 am, but it is worthy. It is close enough to walk to the downtown area, which we did even on the night that we had dinner at a restaurant the same family owns and which provides a free ride to the hotel. The four stars is for having been given a room at first that might have been clean, but floors, especially in the bathrooms, were so old they did not look clean. In the newer section they were perfectly clean. For the price this is unbeatable.

Segunda vez que me hospedo con ellos. Esta vez fui con mi familia, nos hospedaron en las hab. 7 y 8 en un edificio nuevo, atrás del hotel. Las hab. Tienen lo básico, está bien porque a Creel se va a pasear todo el día, recomiendo cambiar la ducha, no es muy efectiva. Una de las razones porque volví a hospedarme ahí es por el delicioso desayuno y nuevamente me encantó! Tortillas de harina hechas a mano con huevos al gusto, con el sazón característico del norte. Tienen servicios de transporte y tours muy buenos. Si cenan en el rest. La estufa, el traslado ida y vuelta al centro está incluído. Los guías de tours Gustavo y Gilberto son excelentes.

EL HOTEL APAGA SUS LUCES TOTALMENTE EN LA NOCHE Y AUN PARA EL TAXI FUE DIFÍCIL LOCALIZARLO

Las instalaciones no son buenas, es un Hotel Muy Feo, lo único bonito es la chimenea que sacan (por supuesto) en la foto.

La estancia muy cómoda, el hotel cuenta con todos los servicios, la atención del personal es muy buena y agradable, solo tuve un incidente al final donde una vez que había cerrado mi cuenta e iba rumbo a la estación de tren, me llamaron diciéndome que tenía un cargo adicional por un traslado, solo deberían ser el 100% claros de qué incluye y qué no incluye el precio pagado por la estancia. Pero lo demás todo estuvo excelente.

Me gusto la cortesia del personall, un rico desayuno personalizado , tortillas de harina recien hechas. Sorprendida por el ahorro de agua en la regadera y el uso del calor del agua para mantener el ambiente calido en la habitacion.

Hotel sencillo pero cumplidor. Casi solo lo usábamos para dormir y las habitaciones estaban cómodas, aunque fuimos en tiempo de frío y no había calefacción el clima en el interior era bastante agradable.

Bien, básico, acojedor y cálido. Poner una rampa para subir con maletas ya que es complicado subir y bajar las escaleras con ellas. Agregar plancha y secadora para la comodidad de los huéspedes.

Un hotel muy agradable, el personal muy amable y los jóvenes que te trasladan ya sea en tours o a donde necesites ir tienen un excelente trato. el desayuno buenísimo y sientes como si estuvieras en tu casa..lo recomiendo ampliamente..

Hice una reservacion en este hotel por dos noches ,un dia antes segun ellos tuvieron una fuga de gas por lo que nos trasladaron a unas cabañas con pesimas condiciones y por el mismo precio que se habia pagado,el personal de recepsion de lo mas despota .lo unico salvable es la comida excelente atencion por parte del personal de la cocina

Me pareció un gran gesto que me hayan llamado un día antes para conocer como iba a ser mi llegada, programar la recogida y darme otras indicaciones, ningún otro hotel ha hecho eso jamás. El desayuno incluido era sencillo pero toda una experiencia ver como preparan tortillas de harina a mano en el momento.

Cerca del centro y de la estación del tren, los tours para conocer los sitios recomendados muy buenos.

El hotel está muy cerca a la estación de autobuses. Pasaron por mi a la terminal para llevarme al hotel. El check in fue muy rápido. La habitación, de buen tamaño, rústica, limpia, con TV. El lavamanos está cerca de la cama, fuera del baño. El desayuno en la mañana muy rico en el comedor, desayuno casero, buen sabor. Para las visitas guiadas en la mañana, sugiero refuercen la puntualidad con los asistentes, estuvimos esperando 20 minutos a una persona para salir de tour. Gracias por todas las atenciones.

El hotel no es muy bonito pero las habitaciones estan bien, el sistema de calefaccion funciona. Personal muy amable, tienen muy buen servicio y los desayunos con tortillas de harina muy buenas. 3 estrellas cumplidor.

No era lo que pensé, muy lejos de la zona centró

Por dónde empezar... Nos recibieron dos jóvenes con cero conocimiento, le pedí ajuste en el costo de la habitación y aunque nos dijeron que lo harían al siguiente día no fue así. La recamara no era lo que nos prometieron, nada que ver con las fotos, el estacionamiento terrible, la cobija tenía mal olor y solo una toalla y nunca nos llevaron otra. Y lo peorrrrrr Llegamos al comedor exactamente a las 9:59 Y nos dijeron que no nos podían servir por qué era solo hasta las 10 de la mañana. Y al preguntar por el reembolso nos mandaron por un tubo. Qué no se podía hacer. Muy mala experiencia y lo triste es que venimos a Creel buscando un buen rato y está gente lo hecha a perder con la actitud.

Tardé en recepción clmobuna hora porque no había quien hiciera el check in, en l hotel está horrible, nada que ver con las fotos. Está sucio y decadente, parece motel de paso

El hotel está retirado del centro y lo que puedes conocer ahí. Tiene 3 habitaciones por dentro y como 10 que están por fuera y para acceder a ellas tienen sólo cemento, un patio muy grande todo tirado. Su desayuno sí está rico, muy casero y con tortillas de harina hechas ahí super ricas. El hotel Margaritas donde hice la reservación no nos la respetó y hoteles.com me recomendó este, pero definitivamente no fue un hotel agradable.

El servicio es excelente , desde recepción , la sra que da el desayuno es super linda y el comedor es muy acogedor , te dan el transporte y estan pendiente d e ti todo el tiempo , al hotel le están inviertiendo a las habitaciones , cosa que es muy bueno porque podrián estra más bonitas , pero es 100 % recomendable en todo mi viaje en el chepe es el hotel donde nos hicieron sentor como en casa

Fue un viaje inolvidable y posada del cobre forma parte, está muy cerca del centro, el personal muy amable y el desayuno riquísimo con tortillas de harina hechas a mano. Espero volver pronto.

Por el precio habían mejores opciones. Estuve en otros hoteles y este es el que menos me gusto.

The staff was very accessible, breakfast was delicious, and the beds were super comfy! The room had a thermostat but no heater though...🤔

I have never stayed in a worse hotel. In fact, we didn’t even stay the night. We sacrificed our payment and went to another hotel. The room were extremely outdated, which is fine. However, when the rooms smelt horrible and were not clean it was unacceptable. The location is on the main freeway, away from resturaunts and the main tourist street. Have a look at the pictures of the dirty towels. The rooms had a horrible mould smell. In the end, we found much nicer hotels in the area charging almost half their cost. Even their tour cost was double!!!

Hotel Posada del Cobre is a comfortable, clean and amazing place to stay. It is 10 minute walking from the train or bus station. It is not located on the main street, but for us that was so much better. Also breakfast is included, which is delicious! A completely recommendable place to stay!

We booked here because of the good Trip Advisor reviews. Our initial impression when getting off the shuttle bus was."Oh NO' what have we done? The hotel could use some re roofing to spruce it up (old mangled looking tin roof) . After our initial discouragement we entered the hotel and are happy to report our 4 nights there were great. The room is basic,The wifi in the lobby is OK (although a minor quibble about the condition of some of the furniture there) and the restaurant is wonderful (the food is homemade and very authentic). The tours were booked through the hotel and although our tour guide (Lalo) spoke Spanish I asked at the front desk upon leaving if tours were available in English and was told "yes".

The Hotel staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. Weather is amazing and at night, it cools down to sleep comfortably.

It's incredible that this hotel is - after Trip Advisors ratings - the second best in Creel. There are now 55 hotels in this town, so you have a lot of opportunities to choose better. We were met at the train station by a hotel driver, but, as we had already booked a van for our tour around Creel, we took our van to the hotel. Perhaps - as various guests have already pointed out - the fact that we did our tours not using the hotel van, was the reason for our mistreatment later... The hotel is very small and lies behind a restaurant. They have built a new section, but it was not ready at the beginning of May. We got rooms 1 (the ceiling was not completely painted) and 2 (with a view against an unfinished wall one meter behind). The rooms had two good beds and the bath fixtures did work properly. Outside the rooms there is a very small place where five people can sit on wooden benches and two others in a couch behind. The breakfast room is also not big enough for half of the guests having their meal at the same time. The breakfast was very good, eggs prepared to order in different styles, for which we did not pay any extras. Taking into account the primitivity of the installations, the cramped space and the fact that you are on the main road, a fifteen minutes walk away from the town square, the 78 dollars we paid Expedia for each room were excesive. But this is not the end of the story. As we were leaving for the train station, we asked the receptionist to be taken there. She answered us - in spite of the driver having asked her in front of us if he was taking the van - that there was not van available... We took our luggage and went on foot... and before arriving at the station we saw the van drive by and afterwards we saw it again parked at the station... A really petty vengeance for not having used it for our tours... As managed as it is, this hotel has not future

Room #8 in this small facility had no place but the floor for your luggage and things. No shelves, hooks, towel bars, closet or furniture. There is no heat or a/c in the room. You could here a phone viberate in the room next door. No dead bolt or security chain on the door. Only one ceiling light fixture.Staff speaks no english. About 9 blocks from train or bus station. The breakfast was very good, cooked to order. The shower was great as well.

I would NEVER stay here. I was booked through Hotels.com as I was going into an area I did not know. It is in a somewhat isolated community so I did not want to wait to arrive to find accomodations. HOWEVER, when we arrived at this hotel we were very discouraged as it is not in a good area of town. We did not feel safe so we chose NOT to stay here.

It's a small place that is currently working on expanding. Not a luxury stay by any means but economical, clean, friendly, and a good breakfast. Took a tour of the area with them and had a great time.

A good place to stay in Creel. The staff are great and the price is very competitive. The rooms are very clean and the showers are hot. There is a fireplace inside which makes for a good place to meet fellow travellers. Many thanks to Arturo - a great guide and very skilled driver. Don Lalo was also great in making us feel welcome and for detailed advice on the local area.

Great place, amazing breakfast. Pedro the tour guy attached to the hotel was super helpful even though we didn't take a tour. Gas fires in room great for depths of winter!

Despegar.com has sold me a room in over booking. The hotel could not host me that night (16 Sept) The Manager has spent hours and kilometers of her own vehicule to find a solution in a different hotel (finally found at 9pm) Amazing support. Very bad service from Despegar. Com (never got refunded)

Nice and clean hotel very close to the chepe station and with very nice staff. The hotel is cheap for what it is and you can get tours to nice places around the copper Canyon with the staff. Would recommend to stay here again
