it‘s location, spacious, generous room with 2 balconies, access to Club lounge, thank you to the friendly staff at the lounge, nice Hunan diner at Xiang Show Hunan restaurant, friendly staff again.

Les petites attentions sont également très appréciées. A recommander sans hésiter.

Unsafe. One psycho tried to attack me and my kid in breakfast. No security staff came for 20min despite my repeated ask. No security camera in a five star hotel. No appology from the manager

Overall service attitude is good; however, there were many people crowding at the entrance during check-in yesterday, which felt very congested and lacked privacy. The cost I paid at the hotel was higher than on other local platforms

객싱은 깨끗하고, 뷰가 상당히 좋았습니다. 특히 쇼핑몰이 함께 있어서 상당히 편하다고 느꼈습니다. 야시장 거리도 그렇게 멀지 않아서 이용하기 좋았습니다. 스카이라운지는 저녁에 꼭 가보시길 추천합니다. 야경이 무척 좋아요.

Overall the location was very convenient, Transportation within the area was very accessible. As well the in house staffs were friendly and attentive. In regards to the cleanliness of the room I would like to thank! the housekeeping team for doing such wonderful job. Im very pleased with my Stay at the InterContinental. Would definitely come in the near future.

Cleaning lady was super friendly and professional; always carry a big smile on her face and have the room done perfectly with our clothing folded. Bellboy always greet and open the taxi door/help with luggage. Breakfast was exceptional here, normally hotel buffet style breakfast is very mediocre and non exciting, but this hotel offers tons of delicious western/local options to choose from(the bread pudding was heavenly). The restaurant also offers awesome service - the attendant even remembers our choice of beverages from the previous day. View of the river was gorgeous and access to mall directly from lobby is very family friendly as the mall has an indoor playground on the second floor(great for families with infant) and food court. Hotel is situated right beside Xiangjiang river and museum which was free to visit. Experience true local life while strolling along the shore of Xiangjiang enjoying the beautiful view, grab a beer from vendors who shows up around 7 pm everyday when not raining. The buildings across river starts LED light show around 7:30 pm everyday, worth every penny to get river view. Definitely would recommend to family and friends!!!!

Hiccups regarding unclear room upgrade pricing during checkin which was resolved day before check out.

I LOVED the extra large 2.7m bed. It was something that I have never seen in hotels before. The staff were excellent as well.

I’m a hot sleeper so usually like my room fairly cool at night, I noticed some of the hotels in China have a set temperature depending on the outside temperature and it’s non adjustable and the blankets are heavy winter blankets so I found the rooms for sleeping too warm but the staff were very kind and gave me a portable fan for my room.

整体都非常棒，应该要得10分的。从登记到入住，所有人员都让我有种宾至如归的感觉。而且，服务都很周到，尤其是吃早餐的时候，Mr. Jackson Chen 就很礼貌招呼每一位客人，不止对我。见时都会说，早上好，您需要我为您服务什么吗？需要咖啡或啥饮料吗？对外国人就用英语，简直棒极了。更棒的是，我说，我点了一杯咖啡，先吃，等一下去取，然後我吃着吃着，他就帮我把咖啡送到我桌上了，好贴心啊！而且每天看他都是笑容满面招呼人，好敬业啊！特别赞！ 最后一分扣在哪里？房间冷气不够冷，晚上我热醒了，虽然第二天反映后马上有人来修理。我觉得以您们品牌酒店来说，应该要定期检测才对。这点可以有进步空间。 还有就是check out后，本来有人帮我托行李的，但因为我车子还没到，他去服务别人，这很正常。我车子到时，见有酒店人员请司机往前摆车没有错，这时是不是应该来帮我把行李放上车呢？这是他就去协助另外一台车，是公司不够人？还是说，我只有一个人，是不是可以先帮我上车后，再去帮同事招呼另外那台车呢？ 这一分就扣在这两个点上。 还有，柜台Xu姑娘说感谢我回馈关于冷气的事情并送了我一个可爱的狐狸公仔，虽然很可爱，可是酒店能否有指定公仔让人一见就能想起Intercontinental的呢？纯粹个人意见。 感谢您们认真对待～

It was simply amazing, after a long day of negotiations being in the hotel relaxed and having the view of the river, gives you the privacy and comfort you need. It´s spacious, clean, and comfortable. Recommended

On the first evening (19th April 2019), my boyfriend and I went up to the roof bar called Sky27 and ordered two drinks. We chose to sit outside as we would like to enjoy the night view of Changsha and the outer area happened to be quite dark. As our drinks arrived, I spotted a black dot in my drink. Therefore, I turned on the torch of my phone and discovered that an insect was in my drink!!! I called for the waiter for assistance. Two waiter arrived and I explained and showed my situation to them. One of the waiter said he could not help me to exchange for the drinks while the other said "It's fine, we will get you a new drink". I waited for 10 minutes for my new drink and received reply from the first waited saying "sorry we cannot swap a new drink for you because the insect flew in from outside". I WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED by the out-coming reply from a Five Star and award winning world class luxury hotel of IHG Brand. How can you expect me to continue to drink it?This is definitely what I expect from a luxury hotel! If there are so many flies in the roof area, it is the hotel's duty to eliminate any insect breeding. I DID NOT drink my drink in the end, neither did I called a refund because of the turn down by your staff earlier. To be frank, I did enjoy the room facilities a lot and the staff were nice and helpful at the reception area. The reason I chose to stay at Intercontinental Changsha is the well established reputation of the IHG brand.

Best hotel I stayed so far in China.

We enjoyed the stay. Beautiful view, great Hunan restaurant inside hotel. We like the breakfast in particular, the bakery are awesome :-)

Hotel was new, clean, value for money. Check in was a little slow but no big issue. Got ripped off by the hotel chinese restaurant at level 3 for a 200rmb pot of tea (my meal was only 300rmb), so dine with care. Everything else was great

The hotel building is only one or two year old. All the facilities are shining new and gorgeous and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Transportation: depending on the traffic conditions, it’s about 40 to 60 minutes from the airport. Avoid the busy hours as the traffic jam can be horrible. Room and view: Room is elegantly designed, king size bed is comfortable. With the right room, you can get a nice river view. They have even provide a box of stationary which may be quite handy for business travelers. Buffet breakfast and dining: The buffet provides a wide variety of food, the dissert bar is among the most extensive ones I ever see at luxurious hotels in China. The hotel itself offers other restaurants for dinning. But if you want to try something different, there are almost no choice within walking distance. I had to take taxi to go out dinning. Surrounding: There is a waterfront park adjacent to the hotel. You can appreciate the river view while having a pleasant jog at the park. Cons: My room is right next to the stairwell. The first night I was woken up by noise at the stairwell around 2am. After complaining, the situation improved, and the hotel also sent a plate for fruit as token of apology. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.

I couldn't imagine how came the overall rating for InterContinental down to 4 but this is the one of the best hotels I've ever been stayed. Spacious room, invincible cleanliness, and super friendly and accommodating staff. The transportation is not a problem for me either as long as you go to the concierge service in the luxurious lobby, and then they will quickly help you dispatch and Taxi to everywhere in Changsha city. The building is pretty new as they just grand opened early last year. It was an unforgettable experience and I am so happy I was staying in InterContinental Changsha.

I stayed at the InterContinental Changsha for a total of 11 days (5 and 6 separately). It is one of the best new hotels in Changsha and one of the better ones I have stayed at in China. The hotel rate was very affordable, staff was very well trained and courteous and attentive to customer needs. Only thing was I was not informed that they did not have anymore king size rooms and I and two customers were assigned twin rooms and only found out when we arrived at our rooms. I asked for change of room to king bed and they gave me an upgrade. But it would be nice to be informed as we were checking in, since our rooms were prepaid, so I expected that the room would be available as requested. But overall I'm very happy with my stay, it's a very nice hotel with great views of the Xiang and Liuyang River. The hotel restaurants are quite expensive, though breakfast is included. I would stay here again.

I havestayed at several 5 star full service hotels, boutiques, and like themes,as most business travelers have, throughout USA, Europe, Asia, UK, NZ, Australia. The InterContinental Changsha surpasses them all in all respect: cost/benefit, efficiency, cleanliness, kindness, assertiveness (they no what youeat and drink-its on ur table by the time u sit), its offers a serene and safe atomsphere, safe for families, situated on the river in an upscalem, clean, lanscaped mixed use venue with rubberized walking tracks. Easy to get to- straight 3mile run from the husle and bustle of City Center Wuyi Square, Taiping Street Area. The Spa and Gym are spacious, opulent, well appointed and immaculate- water, clean wipes for equipment, towels, impeccable hygiene, steam room, sauna, olimpic pool. The place msmelks good, its clean everywhere, the entire staff is accommodating- its not the NYC attitude like your putting them out and its genuine. NO TIPPING- service Charge included The food is excellent. I stayed at similar hotels in Changsha and they were nice as well as the staff, but nothing compares to this place in all respects. InterContinental Trumps them all without a pretentious but rather inviting environment.

I booked my entire trip online and on arrival to check into the hotel, i ws surprised to get a free upgrade to the premium room which was very modern & comfortable. Lovely vews from my rooms window which ws on 26th floor. The only downside ws the room service staff could not speek any english. I wanted to have english breakfast tea, but i guess people in china don't know what it is. The staff was quite hospitable though

Brand new. Everything was wonderful. The staff are great and attentive and friendly. The location is a little further out but not really a problem as it is off the main highway, just that cab drivers often not familiar that there is a hotel at the location! Early Dec 2014.

Not too far from city but at a new area, so taxi encounter difficulty in finding the place. Tel no provided by hotels.com is incorrect so we faced a lot of problems when trying to reach hotel at the first time. No eating places around so hotel should not offer room rate without breakfast. Wifi is a necessity now and should be given free, we travelled 14 days in China and stayed at both international and local hotels, Intercontinental is the only hotel does not provide free wifi.
