Het eten in het restaurant was heerlijk en de bediening zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Maar de ambiance die op het landgoed wordt ervaren, is nog niet helemaal goed doorgevoerd in het restaurant.

Cleanliness of room - drain smell from shower - drain cleaner was needed. Room walls and furniture edges battered. Room door difficult to open and close. Some staff appeared to lack experience - we were not offered the breakfast menu and so we didn’t know there were options other than self-service. Waiter forgot my drinks order, so we ended up order directly from the bar.

Vor allem unser Bad war sehr unangenehm: Der Abfluss funktionierte nicht richtig und es roch deutlich nach Schimmel. Auch das Abendessen konnte uns leider nicht überzeugen – die Speisen waren insgesamt sehr fettig und ölig. Das Personal war zwar freundlich und bemüht, konnte unseren Gesamteindruck aber leider nicht wettmachen. Wir würden die Unterkunft daher nicht weiterempfehlen.

A truly dog and human friendly hotel. Staff were very professional and helpful especially Danielle on reception and Ryan in the dining room. Food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. Access to the golf course makes it a great place to walk the dog's.

A truly wonderful place to relax. Close to Perth, yet very rural, this beautiful old mansion is located right next to the golf course. There’s plenty of parking, and the room had everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Breakfast was excellent, and the bar and restaurant stay open late in case you arrive a little later.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very attentive, polite and helpful. Room (Murray Room) was excellent, very comfortable, very clean and bed sufficiently large and comfortable for a couple. Meal in Eòlas restaurant, while expensive, was superb. Alexander, our waiter, was extremely well informed and via sharing his knowledge in a very professional, yet diner friendly way, contributed a lot to our super experience. Thank you Alexander.

Only slight (Murray) room reservation (which we didn’t report) was that if the shower were turned up to beyond medium flow it fired straight to back of shower space, i.e. length of bath, splashing out on to bathroom floor. At our first evening (mid-week) meal in the main bar restaurant, while the young waiting staff were lovely, when we ordered the half chicken dish with sauce we weren’t alerted to the fact that we would need to make side orders for it to include more than just the chicken and selected sauce. Perhaps we should have realised this from the menu - but were staff encouraged to make this clear would be helpful. When the plates arrived there was nothing on them other than a half chicken (off white in colour as though boiled), with no crisping of skin or whatever, plus a small amount of sauce - the curry sauce being nice but the other being basically just oil with a settled and difficult to mix residue. The presentation of the dish looked distinctly unappetising and not good value for a competitively priced dish.

Incredible estate in Perth on our way up the Highlands. Charming historic feel coupled with modern practicalities and a service minded staff. Wonderful room! Lovely dinner at Cairns and breakfast in the morning. Well taken care of by the Proshop when the driving range was closed.

Very little negative. The only thing was that the bathtub drain was almost blocked as it took the water a long time to drain after a shower. Most probably easily fixed.

Stayed here for a nearby wedding in Perthshire. Great location - staff are terrific, food is good, golf & walking tracks onsite. Room was a bit average but overall the whole experience was relaxing & fun.

Excellent hotel, beautiful location , a sunny weekend helped. High quality beds and bedding. Helpful staff, although some very young inexperienced ones in the restaurant , which struggled with large numbers in the evening.

We had breakfast both mornings of our stay and it was delicious. We also had dinner in the bar and again the food was excellent. All staff were great, especially the staff in the small bar just off reception, there was an older gentleman working behind the small bar who was so friendly and helpful.

Asked if it was possible for the receptionist to book a taxi for us to attend the horse racing, instead she gave us a taxi number. It would have been nicer if she called and booked on our behalf. Not the end of the world, i know, but a nice touch.

We paid for a luxury pod for one night. Upon arriving at the pod we discovered a huge cobweb hanging above the bed. I hung up one of the hand towels and a dried orange stain on one. The window blind was broken on one side meaning it didn’t lie shut properly, the sparkling water was flat, the coffee machine had no instructions and despite our efforts, wouldn’t work for us and the tv had clearly been damaged given the green line down one side and the stain on the screen itself. We couldn’t even enjoy sitting for a coffee outside together as there was only one chair at the outdoor table. I had booked a massage and had confirmed over email the day and time but when I went to the spa, it was closed up. The masseuse arrived briefly after but clearly wasn’t expecting me and thought my appointment had been moved to Tuesday. I was grateful to have been accommodated regardless (and the massage was excellent) but the whole situation was highly embarrassing.

Funnily enough, we found Murrayshall Country Estate by sheer luck, because we cut our stay at another accommodation short and finding this last minute deal. And it was the best thing we did. My favorite stay on our two week tour through Scotland. The estate itself is stunning, the rooms large and comfy, the water pressure can compete with some jets streams in a spa (which is a good thing) and the location is unbeatable. Would always recommend!!

Second stay at Murrayshall and we will be back. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming. Our suite was clean and had everything we could have needed. Breakfast was delicious offering lots of choice and our evening meal in the Cairns was lovely too. Serving staff in the Cairns were very attentive. The grounds are extensive, we enjoyed walking up to Nic's seat and to the top of the hill, views were stunning.

The only downside was my room was next to the cleaning cupboard and from early in the morning I was woken up by noise. As someone with anxiety after having a bad experience at another hotel (unrelated) having people right outside the room and loud made sleeping in past 7/8 difficult.

I pre booked his months ago. 2 superior rooms. All I asked, could one be close to the entrance and possibly on the ground floor as my mother walks with a cane. What I got was 1 upstairs in the hotel at the very end of the passage, and the other was a in the lodges and was the last one, furthest from the reception and upstairs. When I queried this at check in the woman on duty was abrupt and I thought rude ( she has no place at front of house ) and said they were all booked up and this was what we were given. Also both rooms were completely different. Same room booked, Superior rooms. The room in the hotel had a blocked sink, from when we checked in till we left. Even though it was reported, numerous times, bu was never fixed. The room in the hotel was not that great, especially the mould on the windows. I did express my disappointment to the on duty manger on checkout. Let's see what response I get. Still waiting....

Bar staff were very poor and massage was cut 20 minutes short - very disappointing. We waited over half an hour for our drinks at dinner and then food came out cold, no one came to check our dinner and ask how it was or ask if we wanted more drinks, we had sat there for another hour and a half, food was left and drinks empty. We asked to take off the service charge which they agreed but this was then added back on at departure (when you pay) - Had a massage the next day booked and paid for the full body 80 minutes but only received a 60 minute massage - extremely disappointing overall. The pods were lovely and bed was very comfy but other than that poor stay

The pod did look quite small when you opened the door but actually was plenty big enough inside, and the bed was the comfiest and we both slept so well!

We visited the hotel for 2 nights staying in the pods end of July. While the rooms are clean and well equipped and there is lovely gardens etc around the hotel, the service is not what I would expect from the price. The bar is not table service, the staff are not trained and have very little knowledge when asked questions in both the bar and restaurants with a very small handful of "knowledgeable" staff floating around on occasion, breakfast is a very small buffet with a self service coffee machine - think premier inn but with less food - and overall it's just an average hotel on a nice property. It wasn't a bad trip because we had some lovely days out away from the hotel in the local area, but I wouldn't go back either.

Pod was OK - toilet / shower is one tiny space - much like a campervan. Bed really comfy though. I don’t think it lives up to the ‘luxury’ claim - it’s quirky, but the washroom experience certainly means it’s not luxury. Food in Cairns bar / restaurant was chaos and breakfast followed the same pattern. Nice staff on hand, but it seemed there was little leadership or direction. Not great value overall unfortunately - have just travelled from London where you might have expected higher cost, but no. A real shame as it’s a lovely location and has potential - but our experience just wasn’t up to it.

Fantastic location at this hotel/Pod. Our POD was clean and we paid for this to be cleaned daily (there is a choice) which was the right call if it is wet. Average value if not slightly expensive. Breakfast is excellent and food at the restaurant is excellent. Staff are very helpful. Nice walks but quite hilly. Views of surrounding countryside stunning. Perth is a nice town 2.6 miles away. Our stay coincided with a wedding reception, the noise crossover in the restaurant affects the ambience, i.e. you can hear the band playing loudly whilst you eat and people cheering. The toilets then became, as you would expect from a wedding sharing them, quite dirty and unacceptable, I reported this and the hotel did not nothing to clean them. They were still out of order the next day. If there is a wedding reception avoid the restaurant or you will be disappointed/annoyed.

Dinner was exceptional Stayed at the hotel for my father’s 90th Birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were 9 in our party. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location. In the countryside but still walkable distance to Scone. Nice walks nearby. We stayed on a beautiful sunny weekend and the views from the front of the hotel were spectacular. As you would expect from a hotel like this nothing was to much bother, asked for a bottle of prosecco to be in the room on arrival and it was, just as requested.

Fantastiic country club mansion from from 17th century ,stylish and with with all confort. Great situation in à Golf ground and don t miss to have a dinner in house. Congratulations to the kitchen and their higly motivated staff.We spend an unforgettable moment.

We stayed only for 1 night

The whole experience was excellent, we felt looked after from the start. The meals were also great, especially the taster menu's where both the food and staff were excellent.

The mattress was a little soft, but we understand not everyone prefers a firm mattress.

We love the tasting menu in the Eolas restaurant it was excellent compliments to the chef, staff and waiters were also very informative and polite.

The one let down was the food, eg, breakfast, the hot buffet not up to scratch, limited pastries, although the plated porridge was excellent. Fish and chips amount of batter excessive and grossly overdone, making it inedible though fish was excellent. Husbands flat steak nicely cooked but flavour spoilt with a type of green salsa not mentioned on menu. Chicken tika and prawn brioche outstanding. One small downside about the bedroom, the Duvet was far too heavy and hot. Ended up kicking it off the bed. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

I had the pleasure of staying in a luxury pod with my 2 daughters for 3 nights. The accommodation was spotless, and had everything you would need. The TV in the lounge area felt like we were in the set itself :). Hot tub was great and the sun shining was a rare bonus. We arrived early and I was treated to a massage with Lucy, which was amazing. We then had afternoon tea in Cairns and it was yummy, staff couldn't have done enough. Food and service were incredible. We ate in both restaurants and the highlight was the 8 course taster menu and the service from Paul, the restaurant manager. Adjustments were made to menu for my daughter as she is pregnant. The surrounding area is beautiful and we went both quad biking and a hike. This was our first time here, and highly recommended. It's also a short drive to Perth Race Course. It really was a great experience with the friendliest, courteous and fun staff.

The stay was excellent with a lovely room, well set up for our pet spaniel to stay too. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was good.

The hotel is slightly tired in places, although there is clearly a rolling programme of decorating and updates. There were building works ongoing during our stay which were noisy during breakfast, but did not interrupt our stay otherwise.

Very pricey for what it was. Nothing out of the ordinary and once you’d closed the bedroom boor, you could have been in a travel lodge. Bed was hard and uncomfortable and we had a lot of external noise - group of men singing.

This was a beautiful hotel in an absolutely beautiful setting. The grounds are on a golf course in a peaceful country setting. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although the rooms were small they were clean and comfortable. It was worth paying a little extra to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay overall, staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was nice and appreciated the touches like Isgha products in the bathroom and tunnocks wafers. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed a walk around the grounds in the morning before we left, using the provided map from the hotel. I also enjoyed my spa treatment. However, we were confused at breakfast. On arrival, we were directed to table but were not given a menu (there were none on the tables either) and saw there was a buffet so just went up and started getting our breakfast from that. However, a couple at a table next to us had what looked like eggs Benedict freshly prepared. If we had known ordering freshly made food was an option, we may have done this. The buffet was fine but it missed beans and potato scones (or hash browns). There was also some confusion at dinner. When ordering our mains we noticed none of the dishes on the menu stated if they came with veg or chips etc. However, as there was a "for the table" section on the menu with chips, veg etc, we checked with the waitress if we would need to order them as extra to our mains, or if the mains would include these, and she said they wouldn't be included with the mains. We then asked the waitress if the chips were enough for 2 and she said yes. My partner had ordered the burger and it turned out this came with chips. If we had known this, we wouldn't have ordered the chips to share and I would have ordered veg instead (and shared his chips). Saying this, the food served was good. If it wasn't for the menu/communication issues at both dinner and breakfast, we would have rated 4 star.

Having stayed a number of times in the past we chose the hotel for a family get together. We understand the need for hotel renovations but we were very disappointed not to be told in advance that the main dining room was out of use.

Visited with large group of friends to play golf. The two golf courses were in excellent condition and we really enjoyed the experience. The hotel however has some challenges. The food served in the evening was bottom rung pub food at best and was not as described on the menu. The Mac and cheese was meant to be served with garlic bread and salad. When it eventually arrived it came with a small portion of Adli style frozen chips. Other dishes were similarly disappointing (sauceless prawn cocktail for example). At breakfast several items were firmly stuck to the base of the metal serving dishes. There was a generator running in the car park so perhaps the kitchen was having power issues. Ordering drinks was painful. It required the staff too have a tap a tablet an inordinate number of times and print multiple pieces of paper which they immediately binned. Each time I ordered the same two drinks but never paid the same price twice. The majority of the bar staff appeared very new to their roles.

We were very impressed with the facade and location of the hotel, however unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. Our towels were heavily stained, therefore we weren't comfortable using them. The walls in the room were scuffed and scratched. Building works continuing past 5pm and starting before 9am on a Saturday with no detailed prior warning. A whining alarm throughout the night, so not a lot of sleep. The restaurant and meal were lovely though, the quality of the food was delicious. We were subsequently charged the wrong bill and charged £100 even though we'd booked to have the meal included in our room. However, the staff did sort it and gave us a refund.
