Ramada Encore by Wyndham Palmerston North

Room was clean and tidy

Minimal cutlery / crockery etc, would like to have seen more. bare minimum supplied which was a bummer. Shower door was also an issue. scraped the bottom and had to lift it up to avoid potentially breaking it

Great location and comfortable bed

The room needed another mirror

Location

The rooms were relatively tidy, when using the shower in first room it flooded the floor so much it headed out into the kitchen. They told us the next morning that it had never happened before and after reading the comments I know thats a lie. The kitchen facet was loose the view was nothing to look at. Unless you know how to cast from your smart device you will only be able to watch TVNZ+ . Couldn't get the TV's in the bedrooms to work. They did swap rooms for us the second night due to the shower Definitely close proximity to town. I

The location and the high pressure shower

Nothing

Good location, walking distance to restaurants

Great location

location

all good

Easy access. Good location. Despite no allocated parking....free parking outside from 5.30pm-8am was highly convenient. Good bed and good pressured shower are essentials that Ranada provided

Location. Friendly staff. Set up in room ok

Internal room called apartment. With very small high outside windows.

We had issues with getting the TV to go but the staff were amazing solving the problem

Location

Bit old and rundown.

Location

It was Ok - very basic. And rooms were stuffy

Spacious, clean and conveniently in the middle of all places

Tv in room didn’t work first night Second night we asked staff to fix it Tv in lounge didn’t work well we had to ask staff to come fix it Oven was very slow to work both nights Dryer would beep and stop working After an hour we called staff to come fix it and they had us empty the container full of water

Easy access to room. Front parking. Location was walking distance to eatery plaza pak n save..

TV was too old.

The room size and location

That there was no undercover car parking and that the Heatpumps in the room where too noisy.

Loved the location. The bed was super comfy, lovely and clean.

The basin tap in our bathroom didn't work very well. Was so stiff to lift up and down you had to force it so hard we were worried it was going to break.

Location good

Tired - couch was worn & missing springs, dryer didn’t work, tape deck & cd player very retro - bedroom tv had no channels, housekeeping was random & every second day.

The hotel is very centrally located and made easy getting around via walking. The room was spacious and while dated with small cracking in paint in the bathroom and the kitchen bench top ot was adequate. However if it was more expensive the quality would not much the price.

The air conditioning unit made a loud audible buzzing noise during operating. We ended up only using it when we were out of our room as it was annoyingly loud and could be heard over the sound of the TV.

Parking was shocking when I finally managed to get one. If we comeback I'll park on the street. The single bed was poor. I guess the springs had wor

Central and very tidy. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Nothing.

Location, staff and room was tidy! Could also pay extra for parking.

The room slept 3 but didn’t lounge 3, no external windows

The location was spot on and the room had everything we needed. It's a shame we couldn't fully enjoy it.

There was only one key. When I left to meet my husband in the front door after the office had closed, I forgot my key. I tried calling the after hours phone number 3 times and noone answered. We ended up staying elsewhere.

Location, great view from our room, quiet in room

We would have liked our room to be serviced. We saw hotel staff servicing other rooms and expected ours to be done too. Came back to wet towels

Location

Room No enough windows or view as described online

The location in the town centre Dryer & washing machine

Cutlery still dirty (inside of x3 mugs stained) im a professional cleaner it can be removed. Bathroom drain thats visible wrecked the bathroom of urine My daughter single bed was broken which meant she had a poor sleep as it kept dropping to the side which was broken (made front desk aware in person also showed photos) only an apology no offer of a discount or anything for the inconvenience. No bedroom remote, we did search high low for it including in the couch

Locations

Layout of the apartment, needs more work ( warmer ) on curtains,

Location

Na

Location was ok

The curtains were broken and not connected at each end so made it hard to block out city lights No hair dryer Had to pay extra for parking then drag our bag from behind the building

I liked it was a nice and clean good facilities shower is cool, and you get air conditioning, a stove top and a full 2 people set of kitchen equipment and it was a nice view from the 4th floor from some of the rooms you can see the square.

Only thing I could say is just the pan and the pot don't really fit on the stove together.

Staff were very helpful and went above and beyond- this is where the gem in the property is. Excellent service. The apartment was spacious, clean, modern, in a good state of repair. Unfortunately, the booking.com description wasn't accurate, however, the staff did everything they could to make it as close as possible, including extra sheets. The description said two king beds, but it was one king bed and two twin beds. The staff were great, and very apologetic, but helped turn the twin beds into a king bed.

Parking could be better, however we used the street parking out the front and it was sufficient.

Location

We thought the 1 bedroom apartment would have been a little bigger

The rooms need maintenance

Carpet had some suspect stains in the double bedroom :(

Breakfast was good. VIEW frim dining room was splendid Car park was conveniently under main entrance roof

The hotel was in an excellent location and was very clean. Great views from the room and it was very comfortable. Good staff who were most helpful. Ideally located if doing business in Palmerston North.

The car-parking was a bit of an issue - having to pay for an outside carpark at the back of the hotel was a bit excessive. There needs to be a bigger desk in the room, especially if travelling for work, and the soap/shampoo dispenser in the shower was hanging off the wall and eventually fell off the next day.

The Location was good, in the middle of the city.

The doors were hard to unlock with the keys provided, the safety chain was useless as the whole frame was not secured properly. The Rooms are quite old and dated, we booked 4 rooms and were allocated accessible rooms but the showers flooded the floor and the tiles are very slippery. The parking was booked out so you had to pay for street parking if you were there in the metered times.

Close to town. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

If you're a pillow snob like me, pillows were super uncomfortable and the single bed was not suitable for my teen.

Central location, staff were nice

Our particular room had lots of things not working, or poorly working, tv in master room didn’t work for 3 days, dryer didn’t dry, A\C in lounge was louddd, fridge froze our milk n food, towels were hard to get as no heated towel rail to dry them between the 2 day room services.

Location was great and nice and peaceful.

The weather.

Good location and comfortable stay Will be coming back soon

Good location

Very noisy aircon in both my room and family’s room. Fridge froze my food and milk

Nice

Super location, excellent staff who actually listen to your specific requirements and a very comfortable room. Coming back again definitely.

Friendly front desk, informative and professional

The pillows were hard ☹️

very comfortable and good location

The room was comfortable. It was clean. It had everything I needed for a couple of nights.

Bathroom seemed old and needing a bit of work. Curtains also seemed dirty, curtains didn’t fit and were missing links.

Location really good.

Pretty tired. A little smelly.

Great location. Lovely views. Handy to shops etc.

Would have appreciated a second comfortable chair in the room

Location was great, great to be able to get a car park.Bed linen and beds clean and fresh

It didn’t meet a 4 star rating as it advertised. Kettle leaked but was replaced promptly but the next one leaked a little less. No knob on oven to turn it on, overall it is a bit tired and needs freshening up to meet a 4 star rating. Fairly clean on basic stuff but don’t look up or under things. So really max is 2-3 star rating with potential to be 4 with a spruce up

We had a lovely corner room with large windows. We enjoyed looking at the view of the entire Palmerston North Square.

Unfortunately, we couldn't fit into the hotel car park, and we had to park outside the hotel with a meter which required constant feeding.

View

Hot Water on shower was luke warm at night

Good location

Cleanliness was average. The place seems like it is falling behind with R&M. There was a school or sports group of young people running around at night shouting and knocking on doors.

Location amazing

Little noisy

The property had utilities.

I love the location basically right on the Square

I didn't realy like my room location this time, Room 305 which was right by the external air con fans that were a constant noise.

easy check in, centrally located and clean comfortalbe room

off site parking but understandable given central location. TV channels limited unless you hooked personal device to the Smart TV system.

Excellent location - perfect!

I expected the beds would be made

Spacious which was good

Very poor service and in room facilities such as TV access. Mgt had to log in for goodness sake!!! wifi kept dropping out. Only response was "no one is having issues. I checked my lap top at other venues with no problems. My iphones were okay. Very ordinary accommodation

Location is good, main reason for booking.

This place is not at Ramada hotels standard. Fridge leaked, TV only has 1 channel, Aircons were very noisy, pillows were rubbish,

Comfortable clean and very accommodating to our needs.

No clean towels on day 2, had to ask for them
