Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral mitten im Städtchen. Dort ist allerdings abends tote Hose und man muss nach Restaurants suchen. Die Pizzeria gegenüber war in Ordnung. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, aber ein bisschen zu vollgestellt mit altmodischem Mobiliar. Die Zeit scheint ein wenig stehe geblieben zu sein, ist aber nicht unsympathisch. Das Frühstück ist erstaunlich reichhaltig und wird gut aufgefüllt.
Der Parkplatz vor dem Hotel ist leider öffentlich und nur eine beschränkte Zeit nachts kostenlos nutzbar. Davor und danach sind die Parkgebühren happig.

The chairs were easily some of the most comfortable I’ve ever come across. The breakfast was excellent, with great variety of quality and local food. Overall 10/10 experience.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026This is a perfect location and base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Sognefjord, as well as the Jotunheimen and Jostedalsbreen National Parks. The hotel is centrally located in Sogndal, yet in a quiet spot. The room was tidy, spacious enough and fitted with a very comfortable bed for a restful night’s sleep; the bathroom was also nice and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the generous breakfast offers everything you need for a good start to the day. Parking is well organised, and you can easily pay for the next day in the evening. Yes, it’s a bit old-fashioned with the Chesterfield armchairs and so on, but who cares – you get everything you need for a restful night’s sleep and a good start to the day, cleanliness, nice staff, a perfect stay.

Synes det er rart at man ikke kan få kjøpt verken mat eller drikke. Solen skinner, og det er uteplasser, men det er stengt. :( Kunne vært hyggelig å sette seg med et glass godt å drikke.

Reviewed May 16, 2026Good classic Best Western designed rooms. Our room looked like recently renovated and was very clean. The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. At the checkout we did ask for help, as the mountain pass we wanted to use to drive to Lom was just closed in the morning. The owner suggested a route which was one hour shorter than the one I wanted to take.

Det var veldig varmt på rommet ved ankomst, og kun 1 panelovn som kunne reguleres. For oss ble det alt for varmt for å kunne sove i, så dermed måtte vinduene åpnes. Da ble det selvsagt veldig kaldt på rommet når det var - 7 grader ute. Hadde foretrukket at varmen kunne reguleres bedre.
