Wow, wow, woooooow.

This was by far the most beautiful hotel I stayed at during my trip. Everything about this place is simply perfect – an absolute dream. The staff is exceptionally friendly, highly professional, and incredibly attentive. They anticipate your needs before you even express them, making you feel truly cared for throughout your stay. The hotel itself is unique. The interior design is stunning, with beautiful art details that create a special atmosphere, while the outdoor area is just as impressive – perfectly maintained and incredibly relaxing. It’s the ideal place to completely unwind and let your mind rest. The breakfast is equally outstanding, offering high quality and a great variety. I would return here anytime without hesitation.

Outstanding Interieur; excellent team.

The most beautiful tranquil place I have ever stayed with wonderful caring staff. Absolutely stunning . Beautiful suite with the most stunning views . Nothing was to much trouble .

Wonderful staff, hospitality and lovely breakfast! Very responsive.

Price was high, given slightly unfinished feeling.

Man findet hier absolute Ruhe.

The location is beautiful and only a 15 min drive from Plettenberg Bay. The honeymoon suite is an incredible room and has its own balcony with a view. You can relax and enjoy being on holiday. All the staff at Tamodi cannot do enough for you. Everything is done with high class service. I’m so very grateful for this as it feels like anything you ask is not a problem. And the breakfast is delicious!

Views,Location, uniqueness, tranquility, amazing staff and owners.

Nothing it’s soo perfect

Absolutely perfect in every way. You won't be disappointed in this beautiful lodge. Absolute paradise

This place was exceptional - I almost don't have words to sum up our stay. The location is breathtaking, the facilities were wonderful and the staff and owners were lovely. It was such a unique and special place to stay. It was incredibly clean and the breakfast was outstanding. One of, if not the, best accomodations we have stayed in - could not recommend it highly enough.

Nothing!

It’s a piece of heaven

Such a peaceful and unique tranquil location. Very beautiful and truly relaxing. If you can’t relax here you can’t relax anywhere. Lovely hosts and staff. Breakfast was also excellent.

Just be aware that being in this location you live amongst the natural flora and fauna.

Tamodi Lodge is next-level accommodation! The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with breathtaking views of the lush green hills of Plettenberg Bay. We were especially impressed by the wine cellar, where we could help ourselves to an amazing selection of wines at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was an absolute dream—not just because of the delicious food and coffee, but also the incredible service and stunning view. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, always happy to offer great advice to make your stay even better. One of these advices was going to Enrico's for dinner which now we also recommend. Their grilled prawns with lemon butter were to die for, and we saw dolphins. It was a scond time we stayed at Tamodi Lodge (last time 10 years ago) and we would love to come back again!

nothing!

Amazing small hotel in wonderful setting overlooking an unsurpassable view over the forest. It exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were very helpful, in particular our hosts, who went out of their way to make us feel at home.

Nothing!

Fantastic lodge in an amazing setting. Views are incredible. The owners are fantastic hosts and really added a personal touch. Couldn’t recommend this place enough

We stayed in one of the freestanding suites. It was perfectly equipped, maintained and gives lots of privacy. The owners, Owen and Lynne are great people that will make your stay unforgettable. If we ever go back to South Africa, we will stay again with them.

Leaving…..

A privilege to have stayed at a wonderful and unique property. From the warm welcome to the stunning location, our stay was 10 out of 10. Attention to detail was the best I’ve experienced on our trip so far.

Nothing

Lovely spot overlooking the most gorgeous wooded valley. Lovely comfortable rooms and beds and charming staff. Lynne and Owen made us extremely welcomed and couldn't have been more helpful.

Nothing!

Tamodi Lodge was a great base base for exploring the Garden route - it is close to Tsitsikamma, Nature's valley and Robberg nature reserve. The room was very comfortable and the view from our suite was incredible! There is a wine cellar at the hotel so go and grab yourself a wine and light up the fire place in you room for a cozy evening. The service was impeccable and we felt very much at home. Our only regret was that our booking (3 nights) was too short!

What a gorgeous place to stay everything on a grand scale. Lovely bedrooms with. Balconies and fabulous views waking up and lying in bed looking at the magnificent view. A lovely pool to cool off after a days adventure. Owen, lynne and family are wonderful hosts.

Nothing everything was perfect

Great Breakfast

Nothing

Lynne and the team were incredibly helpful before our stay even started and this continued throughout, with booking restaurants and making recommendations. We had just landed and were so grateful for the support! The photos of the lodge did not do it justice and we were blown away by how beautiful the grounds and facilities are! We Definitely recommend this as it’s perfect balance of mountain feel with easy access to plett!

Nothing!

Such a beautiful setting , fab room

No outside seating when sun has moved around - would be good to have a table at the front somewhere

Perfect in every was. Stunning setting. Coastline beautiful in the area.

It was paradise and some. Every little detail was considered. Totally luxurious. Lynne and her husband were fantastic hosts. The most amazing place.

The way they looked after us

Bit awkward that kids were staying in seperate part of the lodge

Amazing views and perfect decor throughout the lodge. Lynne and Owen and the staff were so friendly and accommodating I just wish we had stayed longer. We will return. Just a magical place - and loved seeing their dogs at breakfast. Lynne arranged a delicious cheese and ham board for us when we arrived and Enrico's was closed and we didn't really want to go out. Enjoyed choosing some wine from their well stocked cellar. Enrico's just down the road is a great place to eat too.

That we only stayed two nights!

The property is like stepping into a luxurious game lodge from a bygone age yet you’re only 15 minutes from the town of Plettenberg and about 5 minutes to a wonderful stretch of beach just down the hill. However the facility itself is nearly new so it features all the modern conveniences to be had. Architects and interior designers will be fascinated by the attention to detail that went into the construction of this lodge. The grounds are extensive and include a horse stable and several paths, providing plenty of opportunity to take in some casual exercise in a wonderful secluded environment. The proprietors and staff were incredibly warm and friendly and the advice given made sure we got the most out of our 2 days there. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Crags.

Certainly one of the best accommodations I have stayed in. The location is quiet with a beautiful view. The lodge itself and the rooms are extremely nice with a cozy ambience. The owners were very friendly and gave us a lot of tips. We only stayed one night there but at the end we wished we could have stayed longer.

This place is really one of a kind. The accommodation and the rooms are spotless and the view is stunning. The Hosts, Owen and Lynne are super nice and make you feel so welcomed. The nature is perfect to relax in piece and quiet.

Beautiful property spectacular view from our room delicious breakfast

Breathtaking setting, lovely room with a view over the mountains. Special Valentines breakfast.

Wonderful place run by wonderful people. We could not have enjoyed it more, and as with so many other reviewers, reckoned it was the nicest place we stayed during 2week tour of the Cape.

Owners very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Private location. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Probably the most beautiful and tasteful lodge I’ve ever been to!

Nicest people. Really a spectacular room. Definately going back.

The most wonderful and idyllic place I ever stayed in! Such welcoming hosts, a breathtaking view, beautiful room and super delicious breakfast! Will definitely be back! :)

Superb location with a great view into the mountains. Lynn and Owen are great hosts. Super spacious. Great breakfast and fantastic wine cellar. Will come again.

Stunning views, hospitable owners, delicious breakfasts!

Beautiful and quiet place to spend a few days surrounded by nature. Very welcoming hosts too. A place definitely to recommend.

Everything was just perfect

Beautiful room and facilities. Gorgeous views. Wish we had stayed longer.

A little slice of heaven is how I'd describe Tamodi. People from big cities sometimes just want to get away from it all and just relax, this is a great place for that. The view is breathtaking and waking up to that every morning is beyond amazing. The chalet I was in was huge with modern amenities and it was just picture perfect. Everything you could ever need was available including a wine cellar! The beach is a short drive away and there are good restaurants nearby. Lynne and Owen were great hosts and their staff are very friendly!

As a solo traveler, I felt safe the entire time but it would be nice to know that there is some form of patrol of some sort on such a huge property or added security just to be that bit extra comfortable. Maybe I'm just used to how unsafe bigger cities like Jo'burg are but having security visible is a big necessity for me. Maybe this is available and I'm just not aware of it!

Peaceful location overlooking beautiful valley. Rooms are huge with excellent facilities.Owen and his family provided a personal service making our stay memorable. We would have loved to stay longer!

Nothing

Perfect. Beautiful location and the room had everything you could ever wish for. We loved lighting the log burner during load shedding. Everything possible had been thought of to make our stay wonderful.

We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? Everything was perfect and this is not an overstatement! Thank you so much to Lynne, Owen & Chelsea, your personal attention to detail, kindness and hospitality were more than we could have imagined. Thanks for all the chats and for sharing so many of your stories regarding your beautiful Lodge. I miss my baby girl Diana so much but I just know she will fly free at Birds Of Eden very soon and our stay with you will always remain in our hearts. xx

Sadly we were only able to stay 2 nights.

Fabulous room, huge with own deck. Lovely breakfast, nice family feel

Expensive for south africa , we did not get a chance to use pool weather was bad but not hotels fault, Maybe offer more local info maps some walking routes nearby etc

The views, hospitality and hosts… all perfection

Excellent Service and friendly staff!

Amazing!!

Such an amazing place we can recommend! Everything is perfect: the location, the rooms and it’s equipment, the whole staff, the breakfast... If you want to relax and enjoy yourself for a time the Tamodi Lodge is perfect!

Tamodi Lodge in een woord geweldig! Voor de 3e keer hier verbleven.

Wunderschöne Aussicht, ruhig, entspannend, freundlicher Service

Beautiful setting and very friendly and attentive staff

Magnificent setting. Wonderful hospitality throughout

Amazing place to stay with the most friendly staff

Absolutely fabulous stay! Wonderful staff, wonderful location and amazing views. Managed to see the stars so clearly from our verandah too! We will be back!!!

Enjoyed a fantastic stay at Tamodi. Wonderful, welcoming staff who provided discreet outstanding service. Fabulous breakfasts and great recommendations for restaurants nearby. Perfect accommodation and location for our trip. Would love to return.

The nicest place we have ever stayed, pictures do not do this place justice. We stayed in the honeymoon suite & it is JUST WHOWH. Panaramic views, infinity pool, log fire, and the rest goes on! Best breakfast ive ever had & beautiful staff who look after your every need!

Wow what a great place The room is perfect, the view is unbelievable and the staff is very friendly. Don't miss this place

The Johnston family has created a fabulous, stylish lodge in a beautiful location; the views from Tamodi are literally breathtaking, overlooking the valley and distant mountain range. This is a very special property and we really enjoyed our stay here. Waking to the sound of birdsong and then experiencing a Tamodi breakfast makes a truly luxurious start to the day - the breakfasts are fabulous! It was a wonderful treat to stay in the honeymoon suite and the outdoor shower is to be recommended..... Big thanks to Chelsea, Nathanial and the rest of the team for looking after us so well - we hope to visit again.

2 night stay in a fabulous suite with a perfect view. So tranquil, but close enough to Plett and Keurboom beach. A perfect stay.

I can't say enough about Tamodi. The staff, the location, the food, the rooms- all exceeded our expectations. We loved it so much that we came back for a second night in the same trip!

We arrived a bit late... member of the staff was waiting for us and immediately after... they took us through the check in process very fast. From the moment we walked in... we had the wow effect. Amazing place!

Family run lodge - Chelsea (and Nathaniel) were incredibly professional and helpful. Fabulous stay. Fantastic views. We'll definitely go back.

We had an amazing stay at Tamodi Lodge, best breakfast ever (wow!) and the owner's daugther Chelsea was very nice and helpful. Thanks again!
