Sunwest Hotel Sasebo

Good location and helpful staff members

The double is extremely small and the I don’t like dark brown duvet cover

Great central location within walking distance of shops and train station

A/C was a little slow

Location was great , staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Amenities were very good.

What the hotel could not do anything about ...the weather. Otherwise, no real issues.

Location was great. Service and cleanliness was good

Towels could have been a little thicker

Awesome location. Everyone was kind and considerate.

That staff there was amazing in accommodating to my family and my needs all throughout the three weeks we were there. I never have been to a hotel where the staff has felt like family to me and that made a very positive difference in our stay there. Never worried about not having enough towels in the bathroom or not having water in the morning. For long stays definitely recommend this place.

Amazing and the Staff was super helpful!

The Sunwest Hotel is in a decent area and has a reasonably modern building, but the rooms are quite small and the furnishings are lacking. Even after upgrading to a larger room, I found there was no table for my luggage, leaving it spread out on the floor. The breakfast, however, is excellent—I'd give it 2 or 3 out of 3 stars—and the staff is very kind. Another downside is that the rooftop lounge, shown in photos, is locked all day, which felt a bit deceptive. Overall, despite the great breakfast and friendly staff, I don’t think I’ll be staying there again and will look for another hotel next time

Staff was very friendly and courteous. Very clean and simple.

Very simple but clean room

The staff at the front desk was very helpful with ordering taxis and were so friendly

good

It was great. Very clean and great service by the staff.

Staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel is nearby plenty of places to eat, all of which I tried were good. The bathrooms are a bit dated but kept very clean. The breakfast was outstanding and held at a convenient time of the morning.

This is one of those with an on-site parking garage where the car is stored in an automated system so you can't get anything out of the car until you leave unless you want to ask them to bring your car down so that you can retrieve something. Our room had two full size beds that were comfortable. Like virtually all hotels, the bedding is too thick for the temperature, so you need to ask for a thin blanket as the comforter is only useful in January if the heat goes out in the building.

Same as before. Everything about the hotel was great. And many places are walking distance.

Second stay here (last was 09/2024). Nothing changed—which is great. Clean rooms. Comfortable Bed. Great shower and bath. Friendly staff. Fast, free WiFi. Love Restaurant Maple’s affordable breakfast buffet—a great value for ¥1100. Truly enjoyable hotel to stay at.

Everything was great and a few things are in walking distance. Most restaurant to eat at night is a bit far.

Good location and affordable. The staff was also very courteous.

Very convenient location

The air conditioner in our room didn’t work. Also the room and bed were too small.

Absolutely amazed by the custom, professionalisn and kindness by the staff. Absolutely amazing service. I will return.

I loved everything about this hotel. It was very clean. The coffee they provided in the rooms was delicious! The amenities were great..they even had free amenities in the lobby such as hairbrushes, razors, etc in case you forgot, as well as beauty sheet masks! The room size is small to Americans but that didn’t matter. It was very clean and comfortable! The staff always greeted us with a smile. 10/10 recommend!

Great location not in the middle of downtown Sasebo but pretty close to everything and enjoyable. The hotel is clean and the staff is really nice to work with.

Can’t say there’s anything I don’t like about the property. It was a great stay.

Good
