Decent accommodation. Basic and clean. The coffee was good!

The location was good but pulling into parking lot was pothole heaven and in rough condition. The room looked nice at first but beds were awfully uncomfortable and bathroom filthy. Baseboards were lined with dust and dirt build up. Tub surround caulking cracked and paint chipping off wall. The towels were exfoliating devices to remove skin when used and for 2 grown adults you get 2 small towels. One of the 2 queen beds when sat/laid on made an awful creaking/squeak when you try to move on it. Paid more money to stay here compared to other hotels in town because reviews said it was good but barely slept as beds are very awful.

Change the name from "Motel" to 'Inn". I had doubts upon arrival when I saw that the 'Travelodge " was actually a 'motel' until I entered my room! But! The reception office/dining area looks ancient!

wrong wifi password was provided to me, other than that our stay was okay. it was a quite neighbourhood.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was much better than we expected. Rooms were as pictured with some recent improvements. Beds were uncomfortable and the washroom wasn’t clean.

We had to ask for more than 1 face and hand towel for the room as well as the coffee condiments,, however they were brought to our room promptly by staff The staff was very efficient and friendly

Great friendly staff…they do a good breakfast..but had to go elsewhere for dinner.

Comfortable bed, good shower

The room itself was not clean enough. The walls in the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while with lines of grime coming down. I slept in my clothes. The ac didnt work and it looked like the place had a fire recently as the ac unit was damaged. The outside of the building was looking run down with holes in the vinyl and there was a spot with melted vinyl because of a fire or some intense heat. It had not been fixed. Overall if you looking for a place and done mind the uncleanliness it would be a good spot, but for the 250$ a night i paid i expect more.

The mattresses were like a 50$ TEMU special, clearly very old, you could feel every spring. We ended up squishing at a family members house instead of staying here another night. Outrageous to charge 200$ a night for the worst sleep of my life. The AC was also loud and barely working.

The hotel asked me if I would be late for a checkin. I was going to be quite late, and I mentioned so. He gave me a code to check in and instructions. When I arrived, there was nothing as per the instructions there. After wasting time with kids in tow, I rang their door bell. Someone was sleeping at the reception who woke up. I mentioned the code and other details. He gave me a room key and went back to sleep. After struggling again, I said there is no such room. He said I was misinformed about the room number and took my details again. He said I hadn't been checked in. He just gave me someone else's key! Then after checking me in, he gave me the room keys again. They didnt work! I went back again, rang the bell, he woke up, switched the lights on, and this time I asked him to come with me to the room. He fixed the key card and led us to the room. This check in process took over an hour! The room was okay. Breakfast was neglible. The shower curtains were dirty with human hair!

Comfortable bed

Room was recently renovated and was very nice however the bed was very uncomfortable. We slept in 9 different beds in our travels and this one had the most uncomfortable bed.

Good enough for the smart money

Our stay was bery comfortable. Beds were firm but not hard and pillows as well. The room was very clean. The continental breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel.ha

When we arrived at the hotel we requested a room on the lower level. They refused to accommodate us even though there was rooms available. Upon arriving in the room we noticed really strong fake lemon scent like they were trying to hide something. The AC didn't work, the TV was broken, bed was even worse Broken Springs. Would definitely never stay here again would rather sleep in a tent outside. Claims they had free continental breakfast but try to charge us for it, only thing they offer for breakfast is bread.

Pretty old building including air conditioning and kitchenette. But good for the price.

The staff were super friendly and the check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were spacious and accommodated us well for the evening. We enjoyed our stay.

Very outdated. 3 of us in the room and we only had one towel. Had to go to front desk to get more towels. Started with half a roll of TP, and no extra in the room so had to go to front desk to get more TP. TV didnt work, tried to call the front desk for help with the TV and the phone didnt work. Workers partying outside our hotel room until 1030, texted the number to the front desk as i was told to with any problems upon check in and got no answer. Wont ever go back. Very inconvenient from start to finish

It was the best in town

We had a great stay and sleeps, comfy bed! Rooms are clean and have all the necessities and a free breakfast. Staff is super nice and accommodating. Will stay again should would be in McBride again in the future.

When we got into our room, the body wash was empty, the bath mat was dirty/old I didn’t want to use it for my daughter’s bath. The tub was so slow to drain, the baseboards/walls were dirty with dirt, hair, brown stains running down the walls in the bathroom. The hair dryer plugged into the socket was melted. The steps outside were filthy. There were only 2 sets of towels for a family suite that sleeps 7-8. So just inconvenient to have to ask. The pillows were terrible. No extra blankets in room. Dirty sponge in kitchen. No dish cloths.

Dirty room. Dusty bathtub dirty and old. The whole place could be painted. Air conditioner was really dirty. Outside was dirty cigarette butts all over the parking lot alongside curb.

Good place to stay, clean and safe.

Our TV could not get the “popular channels” that the hotel suggested. When we asked for help, the desk clerk said someone would be there in 15 minutes. They never arrived. When I texted them, I did not receive a reply. They room was clean and comfortable, but there was no help from the staff to address any problems.

We were very happy with our stay despite being concerned because of reviews I had read. It turned out to be very comfortable. The room was large and clean, with everything needed for our stay. Yes, the stairs leading up to the room were very threadbarren, and dirty, and the hotel itself is quite old, but it appears that the room itself had been upgraded, and we were very pleased with it. The breakfast was basic but was enough to get us going. I would stay there again.

Good place to stop while travelling throigh

Older property. Clean room, air conditioning took a long time to cool the room

Old run-down stairwell leading up to second floor. Dirty in the corners; fully clean would be nice. Cover plates on light switches grungy. Mattress & pillows not the greatest.

The entire first floor is set up as pet rooms, so if you are older, and tired, you either have to stay in a pet room, or take all your gear up a flight of stairs with torn carpeting which was a tripping hazard. Otherwise the room was fine. No breakfast although it said breakfast was included when we originally booked

Family room was excellent for 5 adults. We made dinner in the room with the addition of a large pasta pot they provided for us to use.

I liked the soap dispensers

TV did not work two staff came to fix but when they left and the channel was changed it did not work againl..

Compare to other times the hotel was not as clean had stains on the walls and carpets.the beds and bedding was not as cozy as in the past.Staff were nice and helpful.

Bed was a bit lumpy. Pillows a bit too hard. Toilet paper roll only had a little on roll.

First motel that offered a free continental breakfast, which was nice.

The staff is friendly, and the hotel is safe and quiet.

Mcbride is a lovely area. The hosts were helpful and courteous. Rooms were simple but adequate.

My husband have stayed here a few times over the years and we have always had great, friendly service. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Affordable and quiet.

TV didn’t work - staff unable to fix room was a far cry from the “deluxe” queen we stayed in 5 days previously for less money. When we asked about a room with a couch we just got a response of “I don’t know”. Overall a disappointing stay

Very nice

Travelodge McBride is our "go-to" stop transiting from Calgary to Prince Rupert. Prices are always excellent, pet rooms available for only $15 extra with tons of parking for vehicles with trailers and motorhomes. The staff/owners are so friendly and have renovated the rooms. Everything you need: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, satellite TV, blow dryer and those wonderful end table lamps with the plugs for gadgets! Breakfast starts 6:30am and is basic but has plenty of choices. Superb value for the money!

Room smelled bad but room looked clean!

Hair in bathroom, dirt on floor, someone definitely smoked in our non-smoking room.

This hotel has great staff and in a great location.

The room we stayed in was dirty, I had to clean the bathroom when we first arrived which was filthy. They didn't change beds, stock towels, take dirty towels or clean the room at all while we were away they only took garbages out. It is very run down. We won't stay there again

Polite staff

The walls were disgustingly dirty there was garbage beside the fridge. Someone elses clothes.were behind the side table in a bedroom The dish drying rack was moldy and there was a mouse in my room. They never cleaned anything any of the days i was there. Just emptied garbage.

Stayed two nights. Jan 26th and 27 of 2025. The staff I met were really friendly and helpful and any this review does not reflect on them at all. The continental breakfast was very limited, but that is based on hotel occupancy I expect. Think toast, bagel, jam and peanut butter packages, cup of yogurt, coffee, package of porridge juice. Acceptable in a Spartan way. The room was clean and warm. The walls had zero sound insulation. I was kept awake by mechanical noise from fans, fridges, water use and footsteps. As a result, I had a very had time getting to sleep and was denied a good night rest. The Kureg coffee machine was great for coffee and the continental coffee at breakfast was quite good. There is a hot tub that only the brave would use and the exercise room is actually just a stationary bike in the hot tub area. Again, nothing to be proud of as of this writing. Overall, this place is old, for sale, needs serious upgrading and should be avoided unless you are on a tight budget or just need a pillow. The location is convenient. Parking was ample.

Nice budget option, our room was very clean, and it always smelled fresh. The staff made sure we had fresh towels daily, and it also seemed they changed the sheets very regularly.

Reasonably priced clean room. No frills, but had a decent sleep and were on our way in the morning.

Rooms were decent. Service was not so great. We could not get the TV to work. Someone came and showed us once but it never worked again after that. After the first night they took our soap and never returned any so we could not shower. Complementary breakfast could have been much better. Basically was hard boiled eggs and toast. Lots of room for improvement.

Room was cold when we checked in. Super disappointed about that as we had just gotten off the mountain. Bed could have been more comfortable. Could hear each person come down the stairs as our room was right beside. Rooms were fairly modern as well.

We came in late after midnight and the gentleman who helped us was wonderful. We were only there for the night but the staff are very friendly and thoughtful.

Overall not terrible. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We had a room on the main floor and listened to stompy cat up above us all night so the upper level would probably be better. We would stay again though.
