Unique design inside and out with an antique vibe. The room is spacious and cozy. Convenient location with easy access to many of the happening places. Staff are friendly and helpful. Each of them performs multiple roles, from front desk duty to serving at the restaurant to valet parking.

The breakfast could have a bit more variety although I understood that the hotel is trying to keep it traditional and simple.

Mit € 220/Nacht ungünstiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Modernes Bad mit Walk in Shower. Gutes Doppelbett. Gutes WIFI. Grosse Terrasse ohne Privatsphäre aufgrund naher Nachbarn. Schlüssel muss im ca. 100m entfernten Hotel Markusturm geholt und zurück gebracht werden. Ca. 100m entferntes Privatparking auf hoteleigener Brache am Ende der Wenggasse. Zu-und Wegfahrt zum Apt. gestattet. Bäckerei Stiffler in max. 5 Gehminuten in der Schmidgasse 1.

Es besteht auch für die nächsten Monate eine bedeutende Baustelle im Nachbargebäude. Baulärm war jedoch minim.

Ok, this one blew my mind. It is a beautiful hotel, right next to one of the old city gates, in a building that has been supposedly standing since 1200s. The hotel offers valet service for parking so you can go with your car right up to the hotel door. Room was comfortable and well stocked. Overall feel of being in a B&B up in Vermont

Breakfast spread was limited but value for money. But there are enough cafes (one very close) if you want to step out for breakfast

The rooms were huge and tastefully appointed. The bathroom was also large and modern. They had cooling fans that worked like a/c. Our rooms faced a side street, so very little foot traffic and with the windows closed, you couldn't hear anything. They are a pet-friendly hotel which also has two resident cats! Don Corleone (who we never saw) and Cappucino. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to ensure a wonderful visit. I have reserved rooms for during the Christmas Market directly with them, too. The breakfast was copious and an excellent deal: 10 euros per person and included eggs three different ways (scrambled, hard/soft, sunny side up), a basket of local assorted rolls, jam, butter, cream cheese, charcuterie plate, smoked salmon on Sundays, yogurt with berry sauce, sunflower seeds, berries, cereals, a little piece of cake during the weeks and delectable mini heart waffles on Sundays. Tea and coffee and orange juice are also offered. It's family run and they take pride in their home. It was truly a lovely experience and I'm excited to show friends the beauty of Rothenberg ob der Tauber and this hotel. They even park your car for you, which is a huge bonus; only 12 euros to park per day. They are just two blocks from the Rathaus and Marktplatz, so you are close enough to be near everything and yet far enough to get a good night’s rest.

Het matras was voor ons wat te zacht. Het ontbijt werd geserveerd aan tafel, dit had voor ons een lopend buffet mogen zijn.

Wir hatten eine Ferienwohnung ca.100 m vom Hotel entfernt . Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer kleinen Gasse, es war ruhig und sehr nah an der Haupteinkaufsstraße. Alles war fußläufig und innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. Die Ferienwohnung war gut ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.Wir konnten im Hotel frühstücken, für 10 Euro haben wir ein sehr gutes Frühstück genossen uns hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Leider verfügt die Ferienwohnung nicht über einen Lift oder ähnliches, so dass die schweren Koffer in den oberen Stock getragen werden mussten.

Riesige Wohnung für/ Personen - alles quasi neu,… ruhiges Haus/ Wohnung. Vielleicht hatten wir Glück diese tolle Wohnung für einen bezahlbaren Preis buchen zu können. Parkplatz für 12 Euro ist quasi um die Ecke.

Das Zimmer war top renoviert. Es wurden natürliche Materialien wie Stein, Holz, Wolle, Leder eingebaut, die ein sehr angenehmes Raumklima und ein schönes Ambiente generieren.

Prima locatie in het mooie centrum van het stadje, perfect als tussenstop vanuit het zuiden. Zeer ruime en comfortabele familiekamer, kindvriendelijk, uitgebreid ontbijt, prima restaurant, late check-out optie, parking beschikbaar.

Als we dan toch één klein minpuntje moeten zoeken, zouden we het hotel aanbevelen om airconditioning in de kamer te voorzien. Het was er erg warm.

Check-in ist grds. ab 15 Uhr möglich. Wir hatten uns für 15 Uhr angemeldet. Leider war um 15 Uhr unser Zimmer noch nicht fertig. Man bot uns an im Innenhof Platz zu nehmen und wir wurden auf einen Kaffee eingeladen, den man uns bringen wollte. Nach 25 Minuten warten im Innenhof hatten wir weder einen Kaffee noch ein bezugsfertiges Zimmer. Dann lief die Dame von der Rezeption an uns vorbei und merkte das sie uns eigentlich einen Kaffee bringen wollte. Sie sagte erneut, dass wir gleich einen Kaffee bekommen. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten hatten wir immer noch keinen Kaffee und kein Zimmer. Wir fragten an der Rezeption nach, ob unser Zimmer bezugsfertig sei. Dann durften wir ohne Kaffee endlich ins Zimmer. Frühstück ist schlecht, 1 Scheibe Käse für 2 Personen, Marmelade und Wurst abgepackt, 6 einzelne Weintrauben für 2 Personen etc.

I couldn’t improve one thing at this hotel if I tried. The room and bathroom were perfect (We had a tub for me a fan for sleeping/white noise for him). Breakfast and restaurant was divine. Location superb. Helpfulness of staff amazing. This was literally the most romantic hotel in Rothenburg. Each time we approached to enter the building we would hear passers-by being remorseful that they were not staying at this location. We got really lucky. This was without a doubt one of the highlights of all my European travels.

Wir hatten noch ein Upgrade für die Zimmer gemacht und waren mit dem Deluxezimmer sehr zufrieden. Toll eingerichtet. alles Modern und neuwertig. Eine coole Dusche mitten im Raum :-))) Die Lage ist einfach nur perfekt, weil es direkt am Beginn der Fussgängerzone liegt. Wow. Ich hatte erst Bedenken, weil es ja dann oft Probleme gibt das Auto abzustellen. Aber nein. Es gibt einen Privatparkplatz für Hotelgäste. TOP. :-) Auch das Abendessen können wir sehr empfehlen. Eine kleine, aber tolle Karte. Probiert es aus, ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht werden. Vielen Dank für alles. PS: Für unser Notfallmedikament war sehr unkompliziert einen Minikühlschrank zu bekommen.

我們在Book.com 上面訂的是有浴缸的房間 結果到現場，民宿卻給沒有浴缸的房型。 跟櫃檯反應，她們說是要提前跟她們講。 不過很有誠意的要幫我們換房間，但我們不換了。 以上提醒如果在訂房網站上面預訂的是有浴缸的房型，請記得一定要在入住前跟櫃檯預約喔～

Lo que más me gustó fue la excelente ubicación del hotel, que permitió recorrer la ciudad caminando sin necesidad de usar el auto. El personal fue siempre muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar, haciendo que la estadía fuera muy cómoda. La habitación estaba impecablemente limpia, era silenciosa y la cama muy confortable, por lo que pudimos descansar perfectamente. Sin dudas, es un lugar al que volvería y que recomendaría a cualquiera que visite la ciudad.

Realmente no encontré aspectos negativos durante la estadía. Todo estuvo a la altura de las expectativas y volvería a elegir este hotel sin dudarlo.

We spent 3 nights in room 106 on the first floor, a very large room by European standards. It featured a canopy bed with two singles pushed together, two couches, plenty of luggage storage space, a stand alone tub, walk in shower, coffee maker, and two tower fans at the ready for hot weather. There were storks in their nest at the top of the Markusturm. Breakfast was superb and varied: yogurt & muesli, brezel & rolls, smoked salmon, coffee, tea, orange juice, meats (salami, pork, speck, liverwurst), cherry tomatoes, brie with herbs, Swiss cheese, clementine, butter, cream cheese, jams, plus an egg any way you like it, all served by friendly hosts in a delightful dining room. The staff throughout the hotel are warm and welcoming. The hotel is mere steps from everything, especially the Marktplatz, and the Plönlein is an easy walk. Parking is convenient and the parkplatz is near the Gerlachschmiede. The hotel provides brollies on rainy days - hope you don't have any reason to use them. We walked the town walls, visited St.-Jakobs-Kirche, took in the Christmas Museum, the Medieval Crime Museum, and participated in the Night Watchman's Tour - recommended! One day we drove out to the Franconian Open Air Museum at Bad Windsheim. A day trip to this town is insufficient - do yourself a favour and stay for at least a couple of nights, and do so at the Romantik Hotel Markusturm. You won't regret it. Pro tip: If you're going to get a schneeball, get the marzipan & amaretto one.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Rothenburg. The staff were absolutely lovely, warm, kind, and always happy to explain, help, and assist with anything we needed. The location was excellent, right in the center, which made everything very easy and convenient. For families, this is a really great place to stay. We had an apartment with two bedrooms and a small kitchenette, which was perfect for us. Everything was clean, organized, and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other families visiting Rothenburg.

Wir hatten das Appartement im Nebenhaus. Die Zimmer,die Terrasse und das Badezimmer sind ausgezeichnet. Der Fahrradraum im Nebenhaus ist super praktisch. Die Zimmer haben Ventilatoren. Die Küche ist vollständig ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut.

We were there on a vry hot day - (42 degrees C) - and top floor room was very hot. Fans provided but was still hot.

Bed was niet heel comfortabel en er is geen airco aanwezig. Wel een soort waaier.

Inhaberfamilie und das Personal sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer (wir haben dort zwei mal übernachtet) sind modern in das alte Gebäude integriert worden. Auto wurde zu einem Parkplatz gebracht. Das Frühstück reichlich und weitere Angebote werden mündlich angeboten und schnell geliefert. Tolle "rund um" Versorgung. Mitarbeiter stets ansprechbar, alle "leben" das Haus.

Da gibt es nichts zu kritisieren.

O hotel não tem ar condicionado. Fazia um calor de 36 graus! Ficamos duas noites sem dormir com o calor. O ventilador disponibilizado soprava ar quente! No primeiro quarto que ficamos não tinha blackout na janela. Às 5h30 da manhã acordamos com o sol invadindo o quarto. Foi terrível! Depois mudamos para um quarto com blackout, mas o calor persistiu... impossível dormir! É necessário avisar no momento da reserva que não tem ar condicionado (no verão é uma hospedagem que não dá pra contratar - estraga a viagem)

The property is so quaint and stylish. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced location could not have been better.

The only issue during our stay was Germany was experiencing a heat wave and due to the age of the building they do not have air-conditioning so it was a little challenging to sleep at night in the heat

Die Lage ist einmalig und man ist quasi mittendrin und trotzdem ruhig. Sehr aufmerksames freundliches Personal. Wir stellten abends um 23 Uhr fest, dass der TV nicht ging und es wurde alles versucht (mit zwei neuen Kabeln usw.), dass der Fernseher zum laufen gebracht wird und wurden dann in ein anderes Zimmer gebucht. Für uns rein optisch ein Upgrade. Wir hatten kein Frühstück, daher können wir dazu leider nichts sagen.

Der Preis für ein Zimmer ist leider sehr hoch.

We had a delightful stay at Romantik Hotel Markusturm with my wife, our two children The hotel is charming and beautifully located in the heart of Rothenburg, perfect for exploring the old town on foot. Our room was in the annex building rather than the main house — exactly as described in the listing, so there were no surprises — and it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. A truly lovely place to stay, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

Het hotel is centraal gelegen op een mooie locatie. Het hotel beschikt over een prima restaurant en ook het ontbijt was heel goed.

Ik had 2 vergelijkbare kamers geboekt. Er bleek er maar 1 beschikbaar tenzij we 40 euro per nacht bijbetaalden.

Lage perfekt, sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet, tolles Frühstück und sehr freundliche Atmosphäre.

Hotel bem localizado, casa antiga com vários quartos, no centro da cidade. Fácil de encontrar. Conseguimos ir a pé a todos os pontos mais importantes. O hotel tem estacionamento privativo a 12 euros a diária.

Infelizmente, sofremos com barulho da vizinhança. Às 5h da manhã, havia funcionário do mercado ao lado do hotel arrastando caixas pelo chão de paralelepípedo. Além disso, também no meio da madrugada, havia muita conversa na rua. Falta um aviso de silêncio do lado de fora. Além disso, um dos funcionários do hotel, um senhor de mais idade, parecia prestar serviço diferenciado para turistas alemães. No café da manhã, ele proibiu a mim e a um outro casal de sentar numa mesa supostamente reservada. Chegou um casal, ele sentou esse casal nessa mesa, e logo depois, o casal pediu para ir para a mesa ao lado - uma piada. Esse senhor atendia de forma diferenciada esse casal no café da manhã - na mesa deles, sempre chegavam prwtos diferentes. Ainda teve o seguinte: ele insistia em falar alemão com turistas que ele sabia não entender a língua, e, num dado momento, quando cheguei no hotel por volta de 20h, a recepção estava vazia, mas vi o senhor sentado na entrada do restaurante conversando com outro casal. Solicitei a minha chave, ele se levantou, me entregou a chave, mas tão logo em iniciei a minha subida na escada, certamente retornou à conversa com o casal falando alguma gracinha em alemão, porque assim que eu saí, eles começaram a rir.

Great location. Very close to the center of the town. The hotel is in a beautiful old building right next to an old city tower. Inside of the hotel looks like a museum with lovely courtyard.

Unfortunately the room feels dusty even though it’s clean. Old furniture has place in a museum but didn’t feel comfortable.

Every detail of this property is amazing! Great location! Amazing staff you can tell they put their heart into the place. Our family room was huge and daughter had her own room. The breakfast was amazing! Highly recommend this place!

Charmantes altes Haus mit schönem Innenhof.

We looked at several hotels in the inner city, and we chose this one due to the high ratings and the wonderful story behind it. The building originated from the early days of the city in the 1200's and has been operated as a hotel in this family for now five generations. Steven, Lilo and Regina were wonderful to visit with (they speak English well) and we're so accommodating to any special requests we had. This is an old building, so all rooms are upstairs, and there is no elevator. They will take your luggage to your room if you prefer. The rooms are very accommodating in size, and ours had a small couch, chair and table for added space and comfort. The shower was a good size walk in, and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable, more firm than I usually prefer, but still ok. Breakfast was not included in our package, but we chose to eat there for only 10 euro each. Traditional breakfast, with options for the eggs and more. Definitely worth the cost. The location was perfect for us, and is just 2 blocks from the city center. Everything within the city walls is 15 min walk or less. Parking is available, also at a daily cost. For the price, people, and location, I don't believe there is a better value in Rothenburg odT.

Absolutely amazing. Location is on a quiet street just a few steps from the main market Plaza. The owners are absolutely fantastic and always go the extra mile to serve their customers. Breakfast is a delight. Each room is decorated differently, but with great style and taste. The entire building is several hundred years old but yet very modern and everything has been upgraded.

The location was close to everything, no more than a 5-to-10-minute walk to everything in the city. Breakfast was great and the room was better than expected.

La chambre que nous avions réservée avait été donnée à d'autres clients, il n'y en avait plus aucune de disponible. Nous avons été logés dans un appartement à 200 mètres de l'hôtel, correct mais pas du tout "romantik".

Super Lage, gemütliches Hotel und ein sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Wir können es bestens weiterempfehlen. Und Rothenburg ist einfach ein traumhaftes Städtchen.
