Excellent staff, perfect location. Few minutes walk to the beach. Fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice and quiet location off the main road. I would recommend the wight hotel. A great few days away with discounted ferry crossings so I'll definitely return again

As a biker the only downside really was to be careful of a loose gravel car park but that's just a minor issue

On arrival, we were made very welcome by John and Debbie. Our first impressions were how clean the hotel was and how friendly all the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and well presented. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the staff were always on hand for any little extras required. The bar is well stocked with plenty of seating. A wonderful find, one we will be going back to.

Frankie and John on arrival were very friendly Pool a bonus. Breakfast and staff were amazing they work very hard. Room upgrade was really good all very cosy and comfortable nights sleep. Convenient shop across road to get essentials. Beach and plenty of restaurants close by.

Creaky floor boards so could here people in other rooms. Bath was slippery so can't understand why bath mat is not left in room and you have to ask at reception. I slipped and nearly smashed screen. Few bruises but will survive.

Having a pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room with the hotel at this price was amazing and very well looked after. The staff in general could not do enough for you, esp the cleaner and last at breakfast they were superb. Location for the beach and centre is great and hotel tucked away is the main Street. Rooms are ample for the stay we had.

Bed was a bit on the small side but it was a double, just we are over 6ft. The bathroom is on the small side again for people over 6ft but we made it work, for the price can't complain. The decor could do with an update and bring a bit brighter and entertainment is what it is with these types of places but we didn't go for this, so any was a bonus. These are only knit picking things

Breakfast was very limited. Asking for salmon fish and pay extra £4. But easy work, finished. There’s no choice to eat. What ever, cheapest food they have, you can choose from that. Is it four stars hotel? Also, kitchen service wasn’t great.

Parking was good, reception was fair.

I would prefer a choice of non fried breakfast, like a freshly made omlette with freshly prepared ingredients or fresh fruit salad!

My room window appeared to be above / or near the kitchen below , I could gather and smell all the fry ups , I did not appreciate staying in the bedroom!, And had to close the windows every morning! Kind regard Gisela White

Rooms were hot, tower fans would be welcome rather than short lead desk tops. Pool area needs a spruce ie changing facility and shower plus the pool tiles could do with a clean!

The property is simple in decor, the pool was warm and room clean. Property is close to the beach, pier and shops. Reception staff were friendly.

The rooms were very warm even with a fan, a fridge would be useful to keep waters cool. The breakfasts were nice, with exception of Thursday- seems a different chef cooked and the order was wrong and slow - for many not just us. The other days breakfast was fast and as ordered. The showers are a little weak.

Location good, clean comfy rooms, breakfast great plenty of choice, nice staff great pool.

No evening entertainment , would have been nice as we had our grandkids with us.

Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend The Wight Hotel to families and anyone visiting the Isle of Wight. We would happily stay here again!

Rustige ligging. Schone kamers. Voldoende gratis parkeerterrein achter het hotel. Prima ontbijt met veel keuzemogelijkheden. Geen buffet. Vriendelijk personeel.

Het interieur is ietwat gedateerd vergeleken met standaard Europese maatstaven.

Great location, 2 minutes walk to the beach, and local high street. Bus stop 2 minutes walk away. Room good size. Breakfast cooked to order.

The staff here were very welcoming and excellent. When we had an issue with the fan they replaced it immediately. The breakfast was delicious and made the entire stay worth it. Overall, a solid stay and I would stay again.

Breakfast is hearty and sets you up for the day. Room clean and comfortable. Did not have time to try out pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money, free parking and discounted ferry tickets.

The owner was rude. The place was dirty; the bathroom was small, and we couldn't even breathe properly. Paid extra for a family room. No Air conditioning. So we left one day early. Didn't get a refund; I booked for three days but ended up staying for two. The swimming pool was only available in the afternoon; not fair. They said we shouldn't book through booking.com as they have to pay a fee. The owner was very rude too. They didn't care about the guest having issues.

Everything ! Great Guest House with all the facilities you could wish for, the pool was excellent ! Breakfast had a good choice and the serving staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very close to the beach.

Sorting out the hot water ! It was a shame that 1 of the rooms had a problem with the hot water in the bath/shower.

Everything! The loo seat didn’t fit , not clean, a packet of cigarettes found under the bed, hot stuffy room, decor beyond old fashioned and the owner very rude!

I liked the location and the car park is a big bonus.

A decent size room which was comfy and clean. Use of the warm swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room were a bonus albeit they were a bit dated and in need of refurbishment. But satisfied overall. The reception and catering staff were very accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them and they went the extra mile to support my needs. The housekeeping staff were lovely and helpful too. The breakfast choices and quality were fantastic and the fry up was really lovely. The best I’ve had in a long long time. Free Parking was a bonus too .

We got upgraded... would hate to see what our real room was like. This was 4 stars but 4 stars guest accommodation has this been made up never heard of this, if I see a hotel and it has 4 stars I think it should be good this was terrible im x forces I've stayed in better transit accommodation than this. The sink was in the bedroom????? I'm 5ft 11 I needed to be 5ft so I could have a shower there was more water coming out of the shower pipe than the shower head. Yes our vist was in the jun 2026 heat wave it was hot, no air con, just a fan, we had one cup between the two of us no fridge, honestly this was the worst accommodation I have stayed in!!! I paid around £110 for this wish we had gone to a travel lodge.

The facility is excellent, and I particularly appreciated the old rustic exterior, which offered a unique and refreshing contrast to the more common modern accommodation style. The breakfast was good, and the staff were courteous. I would recommend this hotel.

We have just checked out of The Wight. Our initial impression of the hotel was good, we looked past the room small size, dated decor and lack of basic amenities for the price we had paid. The hotel was generally clean and most of the staff were friendly. However, while checking out the housekeeping staff were extremely rude and abrupt. The way they speak to the guests was extremely rude and unprofessional. It made our feeling while leaving unnecessarily unpleasant. We’ve come to the Isle of Wight several times in the past and we’ve always had an end to end wonderful experience at the hotels we have stayed in. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel, there are plenty of other better options around the place if you’d like to have an overall good experience.

From checking in at reception I was made to feel very welcome and had my room upgraded from a single to double. The room was very clean and comfortable. I didn't use the pool or have breakfast as i was leaving early, but I was made a bacon sandwich to take on my journey, which was a bonus. The bar in the hotel was very clean and comfy.

The en suite was clean but very small. Nothing can be done and no real issue.

The pool is a lovely facility and that is why I picked this hotel. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful.

My only thing that could have been improved upon (but it was my fault for not stating) was it would have been nice to have a bath. The shower was very small and not very pleasant to use.

I found The Wight a wonderful quiet place to stay. It was very clean and tidy as you'd expect to see when staying somewhere. The room were perfect for my stay with the on suite shower room. I'm quite protective of my car and found the car park a very safe place to leave it there whilst walking to the town and seafront.

I can honestly say, i cant find fault with The Wight in any way.

The size of the bathrooms. It was impossible to stand in them. The bathrooms had a chronic water issue, not mentioned in Booking.com and as a result, ended up not being able to shower properly. The pool and hot tub was pretty dirty. Not even space for 2 adults in the hot tub. In addition, there were no changing room facilities. There were sinks inside the bedroom, which felt horrible. Though we had booked rooms next to each other on the same floor, we were given rooms on different floors. There waa just one bedsit for two beds, making it very inconvenient to use.

I am so pleased I stayed at this hotel for my first solo holiday. The staff are lovely, efficient and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Hotel has all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay it was lovely and clean and warm. In addition the pool, steam room and jaczzi (which were lovely and warm) were a bonus. The hotel is in a brilliant location for the beach. I enjoyed some lovely walks to Shanklin and up Culver Down which was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our break. The hotel was lovely and warm on arrival even though it was cold outside. Room was spotlessly clean, breakfast was plentiful and nicely served. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus and really warm. The parking was great and the closeness of buses meant that we never needed to use the car for the duration. This was a very positive experience.Thank you.

The staff was rude they said they was pet friendly then moaned that the dogs smelled lol and yet the staff was fussing my dogs made me feel rubbish I will never use them again the food is not even on par the owner is a disgrace and should not be aloud to run a place like that
