Cabañas Anakena

The property was in a good location. Being picked up at the airport upon arrival was great. Manager did not speak english and failed to mention that dishes for the kitchen were actually in our room. We were not told in advance about the cultural show. There was only a sign in Spanish on the day it took place, so we missed it. The batheoom was extremely small. No bar soap or shampoo available. Breakfast was prepackaged processed foods. Pretty much the same thing for the entire stay. I thought it was nice that a split of wine and 2 glasses were left in the room, only to realize it was part of the mini-bar. We also had 2 single beds when I expected a double or queen. For the price and if you are not too picky, it did the job.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The cabanas are a bit worn but it is a great accomodation!

They overbooked so they put us into another hostel the first night. The other hostel wasnt as nice and it ment we needed to check in and out the upcoming day. The WiFi doesn’t work even in the lobby. Except this the stay was nice and the woman working there do try to help. The pickup at the airport was really good!

The staffs are so good but It maybe a little bit difficult to contact staff in the afternoon timely. (Need phone to contact to them in the front desk) A room was stuffy so it can be improved by making screen door I think. There are many flowers on the way to the room in the garden, it’s so nice. 15 min walk to the town center.

Take this one. You will be happy. Nimm das hier, nimm es einfach du wirst zufrieden sein.

The hotel is very comfy and on beautiful grounds...I am a professional photographer and I stayed for 6 Nights and 7 days, and would recommend this place to anyone going to Easter Island (Rapa Nui). Cecelia was excellent and took care of all guests with extra care and attention...exceptional staff at this small hotel. Be forewarned, if you are walking and do not rent a car, it is quite a hike to town or an expensive cab ride...I rented a car all week, so it was not an issue, in fact, i liked being removed out away from the main parts of Hanga Roa Only two problems, the water was never very hot in the shower, just warm, but during the time i was here, weather was quite warm out and humid, just hard to warm the chill off myself after getting caught in a torrential rain down pour... And the second problem is not any the fault fo Cabanas Anakena, the neighboring house had a dog that barked and carried on all night long, had to sleep with my ipod in my ears to drown him out most nights...but this is common on the island, had the same issue when i stayed at another place in the center of town three years ago.. island is full of dogs, chicken/roosters, and horses walking about everywhere. Beautiful property, complimentary breakfast, great rooms complete with refrigerator, dishware, and access to a kitchen to cook, and a freezer to make ice from water bottles. And Cecelia is one of the best hosts for any property where i have had the pleasure of staying.

We stayed 7 days. Very clean, quite, very friendly service. They help you for anything you need from good low cost car rental or site recommendation. I highly recommend. Cecilia is great person. I am very happy.

We were picked up at the airport and greeted with beautiful flowers.had a qick tour of the town,then shown to our room.it was small but comfy. We did not get hot water that night or breakfast that we requested when booked. But we talked to the manager and she was apologetic. Propane tank needed to be changed. ... They said there was a problem with the propane hook up. The owners were around in the afternoon and greeted us with warm smIles and apologised for the breakfast .as it was lost in translation? Any ways.... they invited us for BBQ that night which was lovely, they also put us in a bigger cabana. ... No complaints here. Super nice people . Everyone was helpful. Hotel is 15 minute walk to main street. Or rent a car from the hotel... Would return...

Les cabanas sont situées en périphérie du centre du village, donc compter une bonne quinzaine de minutes de marche pour accéder aux magasins, restaurants, ... Sinon, les hébergements sont situés dans un joli petit jardin très agréable, au calme. Le service de petit-déjeuner est assuré de manière très sympathique. Seul bémol : les hébergements auraient vraiment besoin d'un entretien : meubles parfois vétustes, intérieur des meubles de cuisine, portes et vitres sales, ... Nous avons commencé notre séjour par un nettoyage des meubles de cuisine et de la gazinière ... pas top ! Attention, pas de wifi contrairement à ce qui était mentionné dans la description du logement

I booked a double room for myself and a twin rooms to my friends. My friends complaint the water for taking shower in their room was not hot so they came to my room to take shower. There were only 3 hangers in the wardrobe. My double room was not big, i needed to move the bed in order to open two 29 inches luggage. There was no TV and no window in the room. A small window was in the toilet. The hotel said they had wifi but there was no signal . Actually the network for internet of the whole island was weak. Breakfast was very simple. Only bread, a slice of cheese, ham, salami and an egg provided. I stayed in this hotel 3 days, they provided same things for breakfast everyday. I rented a car from the hotel. It was cheaper than a car rental company. As it was cheap, the car was in bad condition. It was dirty, all doors needed to open and knock manually. The watershield wipers were hard to move. It was OK for having a car to travel around the small island.

CABAÑAS con malservico, muy sucias, appestosas muebles deprimentes pisos llenos de mugre desayuno pesimo administracion mala , me cobraron doble porque no reconocieros el pago que hice via internet, administtradora grosera, llenas de insectos y cucarachas ni aire acondicionado, no cable , no internet

PROS: Great and helpful staff, location very close to hiking path leading to Orongo site atop crater, breakfast pretty good. CONS: Walls very thin and able to hear clearly into next room, wifi very weak, bathroom needs improvement (water never really gets very hot and shower doesn't drain well).

These quant cabanas encircling the center courtyard filled with palms and banana trees was a paradise. We would highly recommend this place. Exceeding expectations, the staff upgraded our two twin bed bookings to a 5 bed cabin, which was like having our own house following the hostelling we had been doing on the mainland.

Nous avons passé 5 supers jours dans cet hotel. L'accueil est chaleureux et l'appartement que nous avons occupé était super joli et confortable. Juste 2 petites choses: le wifi qui ne fonctionne quasiment pas et la distance pr se rendre en ville, mais largement surmontable! Je recommande.

Nice place with a beautiful garden. The owner is very pleasant. She can arrange a car hire for you. But don't accept the room number 3. No shadow, so the room is very, very hot at night and you can't open the door because of the mosquitoes at night. It is also a little far from the city center. But still, it is an acceptable price to pay for this VERY expensive island.

Maybe good stay for Spanish speakers but I don't really speak Spanish and it was a difficult stay for me although the room was cozy. It's cabana style - there was no front desk or reception thus no go to place. The information booklet says you can call them but if you don't speak Spanish, you just don't know how to get the info. (As a tourist, you expect to get the local info from hotel. Phone makes it more difficult than face to face). It was my fault not to have learned Spanish enough but I went to the Easter island to relax yet not really able to fully relax as I felt insecure not being able to communicate.

Had a lovely stay here. Picked up from the airport and organised tour with owner. Only complaint is that the room was advertised in USD but could only pay in Pesos and they used the island exchange rate which is much worse than the standard one so ended up paying quite a few dollars extra. Still a great value stay

15 walk from town. Host helpful and accommodating. Facilities basic.

My wife and I stayed for 7 days and walked 100 miles. We slept about 10 hours per night and simply enjoyed seeing everything the island had to see. The hotel was an excellent value and our hostess Cecilia obviously wanted us to be satisfied and happy. She did everything well.

Problemas con el baño. Mal olor. Personal MUY amable y preocupado. Las cabañas bien equipadas. Lindo jardín.

Beautiful garden safe area welcoming host shower was difficult to navigate but there was hot water room could have used a few more hooks a nice walk to nearby parks town and restaurant

We booked for eight nights and because of the price in comparison to other canbanas, we had low expectations, however it was brilliant, met at the airport free transfer, room, bathroom,substantial breakfast very good. the owner is very friendly and helpful. They supplied a hire car at a cheaper rate than others.It is out of town but we enjoyed the walk and the taxis is cheap.Situated in a friendly quiet area

Nice bed and breakfast near the airport. Very good value, given the general prices on the island. 30 min walk outside town, taxi from town to hotel is 2000 pesos. Hotel offers tours of the island, which are very good value. For less than $100 USD, you will see the whole island (short of the north coast) over 2 days, pretty much a private tour.

We were very happy with Cecilia (hope I spelled right ) Cecilia was at at airport waiting for us toke us to the cabanas and spend about 40 minutes to check us in and give us maps explained every thing about how to get to places where to go first,etc. I was very surprised with the attention she gave us and she made sure everything was going well every day at was the best concierge I have see for a long time. The Cabanas is nice very and clean. Breakfast is small and if I would go back I probably would ask to have as an option a second cup of coffee, juice and an extra bread. Overall I did Love our stay at this hotel and I loved Cecilia Attention To all guests.

Hotel was fine. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Hotel staff spoke very little English. BUT WORST IF ALL THE WIFI WAS TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!

Excellent two day stay. Pickup from and return to the airport were included. All the staff were super friendly and could not have been more accommodating. 20 minute walk from town, but ideal if you rent a bike or a car. Comfortable room, very clean and ideal for a couple of days.

The Cabanas Anakena accommodation was very basic though extremely clean and in good repair. This is not a luxury hotel. It is individual cabins and rooms opening on common ground and outside lanai. The outdoor ambiance was great and though the common area was relatively small, it added to the adventure of my visit. No television and spotty internet gave me forced me to relax and concentrate on my exploration of this unique culture. The vehicle I rented here was a very sturdy 4x4 and gave me great service. The daily breakfast and maid service was excellent. English was not spoken here. I would stay here again. It is located just at the edge of town near the ocean. One of the caves is located at the foot of the street as well as a small coffee shop.

Chambres très inégales , celles du fond sont sombres et humides, minuscules. Nous avons pu changer après quelques nuits , sinon nous serions partis ailleurs . Celles de devant et les chalets du fond sont mieux , mais aucun rangement , salle de bain vieille avec eau froide en général , lits confortables , peinture sale, le tout aurait besoin d' un bon rajeunissement . Personnel sympa qui fait ce qu il peut. jardin agréable , pas de vue mer. Petit déjeuner basique et tout les jours pareils. Bref pour le prix, il y a mieux ailleurs.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful grounds and wonderful manager. The grounds are a walk from the city center (20-25 min) but in a great location for hiking Ranu Koa.

We were met by Cecilia at the airport with a lei.5 min drive to Cabanas.7 casitas with pretty landscaped garden in the middle.we had #6 rich is a whole little house.upstairs sleeps two and downstairs is the master bedroom.Fully stocked kitchen and nook. Cecilia brought us a generous breakfast on a tray.very nice.Walk into town 20 min.Ana Kai Tangata cave across street,trailhead to Orongo 200m.

30 mins walk to city center. Host is kind, but just speak a little englsih. Room is clean and there is a kitchen in the room.

It was pretty cheap compared to other options to stay on Easter Island so my expectations were not high. After all, we were going to stay there for 3 nights and we wanted to explore the island. It is a cabana, not your regular big "hotel" but it was lovely. It was very clean, owners served us breakfast at 9 am every morning on our private patio. By the time we left, I felt like we visited some relatives. They took such good care of us, they helped us with every question we had. If I ever go back to Rapa Nui, I am staying with Kristen and Alejandro again. Oh, and between the two of them they speak like 7 or 9 languages!

Being there during the festival was definitely a highlight of the trip.

Excellent place to stay in Easter Island. Cabana is run by Christin and Alejo...wonderful family....great service...prompt response to all queries....Guide..Alberto is excellent...more than typical tour guide with his knowledge of area, culture and not so known places around Island.

Christina and Elaho were very informative and helpful during my entire stay there. The cabana itself was clean and I found it very relaxing and peaceful. Everything I needed was accessible at the cabana so I did not need to go to main city center to to book tours or even personal vehicles for the day since it I was able to do it at the cabana. Overall it was a great experience!

We stayed for 16 nights and were pleasantly surprised by the nice grounds and decent accommodations. Our cottage had fridge, microwave, kettle, hot plate, pots, pans, china and utensils. There is also a central kitchen for cabins without a hot plate. The fridge had stocked mini-bar$. The outdoor central patio also has a barbeque. Christine and Alejo were our hosts and both spoke English and German which was great since many islanders only speak Rapa Nui and Spanish. Breakfast was delivered to our cabin every morning. We got a better rate for car rental than in town and the car was delivered to our gate when requested. You can get 8 hour rentals on Easter island. These cabins are located close to the Cannibal Caves and the hiking trail up to the Rano Kau crater. The main part of town is walking distance, (about 1.3 km, less than a mile). The first store you hit is the grocery/beer/wine store! We received complimentary shuttle to Cabanas Anakena. Our hosts also offered reasonably priced round trips to the only sandy beach on the far side of the island. (Good for days when you want to drink, but not worry about driving home). Island tours were also offered, but we rented a car for our self tours.
