Loved this place, nice accomodation, good staff, would stay here again ! The pool seems to be great ! I left an hostel and was looking for a better place, i was happy about my choice ! More expensive than hostel but it's worth it !
We originaly booked for 3 days but extended our stay to 11 days. We found the hotel suited us well. All the staff where very friendly and very helpfull.Breakfast was buffet style but on quieter days you choose from the breakfast menu and it was cooked to order. Our room was kept neat and tidy by the cleaners and we had a balcony over looking the river. The hotel is trying to be eco friendly and they provide filtered water in reusable bottles and shower gel and shampoo in dispensers keeping plastic use down to a minimum. The hotel has a small swimming pool with lounges and is just right for a quick dip.. We would definatley stay again. The hotel also can book you trips and visits to suit yiuselves The positioning of the hotel is a short walk from pub street and the markets and the noise level around tbe hotel was good.
We had a wonderfull time there, the staff was so nice, the room big, very good bed and great bathroom with a great balcony with a nice river view. The staff do his best for you. Rooms are comfy. But it is not really what it is announced. Breakfast is not 4 stars standart , and There can be some marks on the towels and sheets I suppose because of a lack of means. Laundry is not very efficient, but it is ok because it is cleaned every day. It is just not a real 4 stars as it is announced. Apart from that we will definitely come back .
We booked for 3 nights but on arrival, we were given a double bedroom, instead of twin. After insisting, we were given a twin room (next door) but the window was broken. We didn’t feel secure so asked for a for another room. They offered to move us to another hotel but we declined as it didn’t have the same reviews. Ended up booking somewhere else. The management was helpful and helped us to move our bags to the new hotel. The hotel is very basic but the location is good.
Pros: - location is really good, 2-3mins walk to night market, pub street. - service is good - buffet breakfast is fine, though not much variety but still ok. - hotel can help to arrange transport and package to visit places. - room rate is reasonable. . Cons: - no lift, have to walk up stairs. - no carpet in room, just concrete floor. Feel abit sandy. . Overall: Overall would say still rate as a good place to stay. P.s. if you plan to stay here, would recommend you to try dinner at 'Family Cuisine' next to Hard Rock Cafe. (Travel on 1-4 Dec 2019)
What a find this hotel is. Conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre, Very friendly staff, I've been greeted with a hearty 'welcome home!' every day by the friendly staff, who are very attentive and helpful, no matter what the question. The room is clean, and cleaned every day, and free bottles of water are left out. Tea, coffee and a kettle are in the room, along with a paid mini-bar. Food in the restaurant is good quality and great value, and there is always too much breakfast! Did I mention the staff? Always smiling, pretty much like the rest of the city, they are always happy to chat to guests, which is great if you're travelling alone. The only downside is the dust, but it's a problem across the city during the dry seasons. Some guests have complained about it, but in their defence the staff are regularly to be seen sweeping and trying to get a control of the situation. All in all a great hotel for a long or a short stay.
I stayed solo for Bon Om Toul after a friend cancelled last minute. Friendly and helpful staff, great rooms. I have to loudly applaud the manager for hiring deaf and mute (and ver capable) staff, we do not see this anywhere in the world, anywhere near enough. Bravo!
I stayed at this hotel as my residence for a service trip. They relocated us from another hotel to this one but this was made up by the hospitality of the staff. They gave us free juice drinks and warm welcomes. The rooms are quite large and have a few beds. The bathroom is a bit strange as fells more like a sauna layout...;). Problems with the lock in the restroom sliding door. Few insects inside the room but amenities such as toiletries and a boiler are provided. 24 hrs hotline to front desk with immediate service. Right opposite Pub Street and other stores! Must stay here if on a budget.
I didn't get to see the rooms nut the foyer looked nice. I booked well in advance for a 6 night stay in this hotel to find that they had moved me without my knowledge to their partner hotel which was cheaper and further away. I was not impressed, location great, if you book you may want to make sure before you arrive that they have not moved you elsewhere.
A basic hotel but for those who want something within walking distance to the markets and Pub Street this is it. Reasonable size room with minimal decor and large bathroom. Fridge kept drinks very cold. The pool area was clean and the pool a welcome relief from the heat. We had dinner in the restaurant one night. Nice meal and cheap. We both had chicken burgers and fries which was quite tasty. House keeping was good and staff very friendly and obliging. Always a smile and goodbye when we left in the morning and a welcome back when we returned. We did have a problem with the air conditioner on the first night in that it dripped water all night. There was quite a pool of water on the floor next morning. They were very obliging and it was fixed promptly. The other problem we encountered was that after the room was serviced, we did not have towels replaced. We found out that as the contractors had not delivered any to them, there were none kept in reserve. A little disappointing. Maybe something to look at for the future. Plenty of tuk tuks in the vicinity.
The hotel is situated just opposite Pub Street across the river. So everything is close by, yet sheltered from the hustle and bustle. There's a decent cafe a few steps away with a cozy vibe - great for a lazy lunch or coffee. The room itself is big, bed is comfortable, with a balcony you can step out for a smoke if needed. The pool is small, but great for lazy swimming and soaking in during the hot afternoons. The buffet breakfast is pretty good, and if you are going for a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat, they even pack a very filling breakfast for you to bring along. My driver for all 3 days (arrival pickup, Angkor tour, airport return) was Chantorn Tha - awesome guy, patient, accommodating. Couldn't ask for someone better. But service from everyone in the hotel in general is excellent - they are great with advice, super helpful and friendly, and always willing to accommodate wherever possible.
The staff and facilities at G&Z are really very good indeed. My stay was pleasant, comfortable and the staff were friendly, professional and efficient. All the staff were great but I would like to point out one young gentleman who, despite being profoundly deaf, was always helpful and professional. I’m not being patronising (I hope) but his disability was not obvious but some guests should realise that he used hand signals very effectively and raising your voice in English or Spanish is not going to make a difference! Much respect to G&Z for employing a good man. The food and drink was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend a stay in this hotel.
This is a nice hotel, but I’m not sure if my room is finished! The bathroom is half tiled and half finished with PVA washed plaster. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be basic Bauhaus or they wanted to open before completion. There is a flat screen TV in my room which cannot be tuned in so I see no reason why it should be there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice hotel, excellent staff, clean, comfortable and convenient. The breakfast is good and excellent facilities overall, but please, just apply that final 10% and it would be excellent!
We loved staying here! The staff are so friendly and really do make you feel at home. The rooms are modern, clean and large. The breakfasts are great and the pool area is nice and relaxing. G&Z Urban is close to sites around town and a 5 minute walk to Pub Street. Highly recommend.
Good location, safe, polite staff, $1 draft beer. Got picked up and dropped off at the airport. Room was spacious and clean. Would come back for sure if stayig in siem reap There was a pool too but we didnt use it
Loved this place! Very centrally located, clean rooms, great value and free breakfast! Plus provided complimentary ride to and from airport! Staff extremely friendly and helpful in booking our excursion to Angkor Wat
We truly enjoyed our stay. Location was great, service was wonderful, welcoming, and extremely helpful. They answered all of our questions. Very clean. Thank you!! We will definitely be back for a future visit.
Hotel and staff were great. Tours were very reasonable. Good value overall for the price. Great downtown location. A little noisy at times.
Modernist hotel and rooms friendly staff at checkin and breakfast Nice pool area ,very comfortable bed ,pay same price here as staying in other. Similar places that have so many problems . The location is excellent easy access to old town and the market Clever architecture loks plain but really comfortable
aircond,not cold enough
Great staff, pool, and location to walk everywhere.
Good location. Close to everything but away from the noise of pub street. Room we stayed in was very big and spacious. Staff are very friendly but just a bit slow. English wasn’t always the best. Main difficulty was with restaurant staff. Overall, pleasant experience.
My stay at the G&Z Urban Hotel was perfect. From the moment I booked my stay they were very attentive to every detail and need, scheduling my airport transportation and activities during my stay. The room, bed and shower were all very comfortable. The location on the river was nice and the room was quiet despite being a short walk from Pub Street and the downtown night life. Most importantly, the kind and friendly staff were just amazing. I can't wait to see them again.
We had a Great time visiting Angkor Wat!! The hotel was in walking distance to Pub Street!!! It had a nice pool after a hot day of sight seeing!!!
This was a wonderful experience during the whole staying time. 5 mins to the old market and 10 to the pub street. Staff are very nice and polite with smile. They did their best every time when we have any request, even somehow it was a bit unreasonable. We ordered a family suite which it is highly recommand to guests if you visit cambodia with family. Rooms are clean simple and tidy, breakfast are good although it wasn’t a lot of choices, but still, we can see they prepared with heart. We will definately come back next time when we visit Cambodia again. P.s dont miss their happy hour between 6-9pm, half price of any drinks which you can enjoy beside the pool.
We paid about $37 US a night (including all the extras and taxes etc) for the smallest room. Basically we got what we were expecting room wise, for the price Pros: - Pickup from the airport was perfect! Greeted by Rose, and she was very entertaining in the car, and offered advice on what to do. Strangely though, we never saw her again after she dropped us off. - The hotel location is superb. Less than 10 minute casual walk to pub street. On the "quiet side of the river/canal. - Rooms are a decent size for 2 people "who know each other very well". - There is a balcony to be able to enjoy the outside for reading or smoking, or whatever. Be aware with the table and chair, the balcony is only big enough for one person. - There is a ok sized swimming pool. - Air Con was nice! - Food is very good. Also, the breakfast buffet was small but good for a small hotel. Eggs to order. - Hotel staff were very friendly and eager to help. Cons: - I do not like cold showers. This is big for me. Might be the reason I do not choose this hotel again. Even luke warm is ok. We stayed for 3 nights. I personally had 6 showers. I only had a hot shower on the first night! I ran the shower for a few minutes to see if the water would warm before giving up and starting my cold shower. At the end of my shower, I finally got hot water, so I extended my shower. That was the last of my hot water. For me, other than just liking hot showers, I like the idea that the water has been heated fairly hot. This has a better chance of killing bacteria in the water that my western body is not used to. - Although airport pickup was flawless, hotel pickup TO the airport was not. When we checked in, I stated we would want a car/taxi to the airport on checkout. They took my room number, and I told them I would get the departure time to them the following day. The following day, I went and told them the time we wanted to leave the hotel. When he wrote this time, and my room number, on his HAND, I thought I had better double check this later. The night before departure, I checked, and sure enough, there was no record. So, we got that sorted (again). The following morning, we went down to catch our taxi. It wasn't there. There seemed to be a bit of a scramble to confirm the car, and where it was. They told us to have a seat. So, we did. We also ate breakfast while waiting for our car. That is how long it took. Luckily, we usually plan extra time for our flights, so we were able to eat the time (no pun intended) with no repercussions. - We had lunch once, and dinner once in the small restaurant. The food was quite good, but never came out at the same time, and took longer than you would expect. It was like they could only cook one dish at a time. - The door locks were tricky. Big keys and noisy locks. Other things to note: -They have a couple of deaf workers (cudos to them!). However, this is not immediately known. So, invariably when ordering your first drink or meal, you are looking at the menu and talking, and it takes a minute to realise the person is pointing to a card around their neck stating their situation, and asking you (I believe) to point to the menu item. - The rooms have concrete floors. As are the hallways. This can make for a noisy time if you are a light sleeper. - There are 4 floors. G, 1, 2, and 3. Be aware that there is no elevator. - Although the staff are friendly and ready to serve, the execution of the service sometimes is less than you would expect. But I find this all over Cambodia, and chalk it up to Cambodia being relatively new to mass tourism, and the service "industry" still being in its infancy.
Not prrofessionnel l breakfast. ,,,, Restaurant....
I had very good experience during staying here, room great and near town , Breakfast was excellent , Lunch and dinner many choices and reasonable price with great taste and the most enjoyable time with Happy Hours 6-9:00pm in the evening time, It was make very exciting that they had Deaf and Mute Staff who serve me during Meal time at Restaurants, I would highly recommended,
great stay at siem reap. will stay at the hotel again.
We were allocated a room, that was just as lovely as others but faced a wall. We manged to upgrade at a small cost to a lovely front room with a balcony. The staff were delightful and so helpful. Breakfast was excellent . All in all a great place to stay
Amazing service and even better location. Would strongly suggest.
Great location by the river, and only a few minutes walk to the main attractions. The hotel was in good condition, though the grey walls and floor made it appear rather drab. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Inclusive breakfast was a high standard, and cooked for you. Overall, an enjoyable stay.
Comfortable hotel ideally located in Siem Reap. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the service was impeccable.
Loved this place. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Nice room. I'd gladly stay there again
Small well appointed hotel with good (lunch/breakfast) restaurant. Helpful friendly staff. Swimming pool small but nicer than pictures on the web. 5 minute walk to the old town bars and markets area. 2 minute walk to Hard Rock Cafe, the (trendy) Temple cafe, and the Jungle Bar.
The only two good things about this hotel was it's location and spacious room. Breakfast was very poor. Toilet and shower were filthy and the room itself would do with some more cleaning (spider web in the corners, stained curtains, sticky and dirty fridge). When we booked the room we were offered 20% off food and bevareges and free one way airport transfer. No one told us that discount doesn't apply to mini bar and we only found out about this during the check out. Lastly free one way airport transfer it's only a pick up from the airport. We managed to get to the hotel on our own but when we asked to be dropped off to the airport we were inform that hotel is not able to provide that free of charge as they only do pick up. Once again good to know in advance. Despite having email confirmation about terms and conditions of the reservation they wouldn't accept that and made us pay.
Members of staff were all very friendly I. Found I had mosquitos in the room so I. Asked for the room to be sprayed. Both ocasions the staff were ver accommodated.I would stay there again
We booked this hotel after all the "good" review, however it started with very upsetting airport pick-up situation -- we waited (wasted) for one hour waiting for the driver at the airport while he didn't show up; we took a taxi to the hotel and got confusing reply (no reply at all), and we figured out the driver didn't even go as we saw the pick-up paper (with my name on) was at the reception desk. Staff speak very poor English. Except the service, room is not bad.
The hotel was initially a little hard to find as its going through a name change. However, the location is fantastic (near the old market) and there are several restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very nice and helpful although some had very limited English. There is no elevator but they will help you with your luggage. The breakfast was delicious. The in-room massage and facial was fantastic! The pool was small but very nice! It’s a fantastic value and I would highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel!
Loved this place! Minutes walk to Pub Street and the Night Market so there was lots to do. Mr. Sey was our tuktuk driver and he was the sweetest, most accommodating guy. The hotel helped organize our sunrise tour of Angkor Wat ($21 USD) and transportation to and from the airport.
Service is very good. helpful staffs. Although towels are missing in room when check-in, staffs brought in new ones right away.
The hotel is an inexpensive boutique hotel located very centrally. Unfortunately the a/c in one of my rooms (I had to switch rooms as I had two contiguous reservations after I decided to stay an extra day) didn’t really work well at all, and the water in the showers in both rooms was not hot at all in the mornings. The hotel said they used solar heating for the water, which is great (and the water was hot the one day I showered in the evening), but then you typically need hot water in the morning, so the showers need to be equipped to provide hot water in the mornings. And there are no elevators; something to consider if you cannot downstairs. The staff was friendly and did their best to help, but the equipment probably needs to be upgraded.
Very well located and staff are great. The water sometimes took longer to get warm, the brakefast was quite desorganised on the last day and the pick up at the station never showed up, but overall is very cool.
The room is clean to the eyes. Basic shower and amenities. Very basic breakfast. Didn't find iron. Area is quiet. Remember to bring your own slippers.
Location perfect for us - 10 mins walk to the market and busier areas yet pretty quiet where we were. Great room overlooking the pool. Water in room only warm in morning but ok by afternoon. Reception put this down to lack of sun the day before but this happened every day. Some lack of attention to detail in room cleaning. Breakfast poor with food not covered from flys and staff not very attentive. On a positive the fire alarm system works well as we were evacuated due to an idiot smoking in the bedroom. Reception staff good.
Clean, well sized room with good air con, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. good pool, and breakfast was OK. Staff very helpful and friendly. great position to walk into busy tourist areas, nearby good restaurants
No hot water available during morning time before 8am and also evening after 10pm...Solar system is not convenient to travelers.. We prefer shower head which we can hold it, rain shower head is not useful for kids.. Breakfast is almost 99% same except one day is fried rice and the other day is fried noodle No life for old folks especially those their legs having problems
none
The hotel was comfortable and clean .staffs are friendly but they have to replace old towers some are very old. Khmer people so friendly and foods are good. Angkor temple is amazing I recommend everyone to see November festival boat racing is so much fun. I would go back again
A lovely little hotel. Our rooms were not ready when we checked in (as previous guests had not checked out as expected) and there was no-where to shower (despite there being a small outside pool) which put a bit of a 'damp-ner' on our arrival. Other than that the staff were friendly and the hotel clean and quiet. Great location near the town centre but just far enough away not to be bothered by noise.
Loved the location and the staff. Mr Hy and Mr Rain were excellent drivers and made sure we saw what we wanted to at Angkor. Be sure to get them for your tours! But the beds were hard and not like the "pillow top" mentioned on the app. Also didn't get the pick up despite emailing twice before arrival. Then instead of giving us the drop off, msnagement just gave us a $4 discount... not right when our hotels.com reservation said "including pick up". Luckily the excellent Mr Hy and Mr Rain did everything in their power to ensure we had a great stay. Many thanks to them.
Easy to organise airport pick up, hotel sorted out temple tour for us. Room was clean, one of the doors wouldn't lock, they fixed it promptly once notified though. Semi reliable hot water, took a while to warm up 5-10minutes Bed pretty hard and aircon seemed to only be going at half power.
Personalized check-in with fresh chilled hand towels and orange juice was perfect. Service excellent. Room was no-frills with no view out the window except a wall. Not a big deal for a 2 night stay though. Definitely would stay here again for a small trip
No doubt hotel staff were polite but they lack the communication skill. Ask them question but never get back to us. Ist day breakfast was bad, 2 cold hard boil eggs n plain bread with jam. The hotel staff has totally forgotten to prepare our packed breakfast despite our order the night before as we were setting off to see sunrise the next day. A big disappointment! However, they could remember to pack for other guest, sigh! Had feedback to them about their lst day's breakfast but nothing was done on their part. On the last day, their toilet was choked, had informed the chambermaid to help clear before we left for our morning last minute shopping. However, upon our return, it was still not cleared, sigh! Nonetheless, a big applause to their tuk tuk driver, Mr Rain who is able to converse in English and was very helpful throughout our stay. He has even returned to hotel to get our packed breakfast after sending us to Angkorwat. A big thank you to him.
The location is within walking distance of downtown nightlife, markets, etc. The hotel is small but you receive very personal service. Not fancy but suited our needs perfectly. Many food options in the area but hotel food was as good or better than we had anywhere else. The staff were as friendly and helpful as we have ever encountered and this included the tuk tuk drivers.
Fantastic position of hotel - in heart of city, facing river. We loved being able to walk to markets, buy street food, visit Pub Street etc. Tuk-tuk drivers 'Mr Rain' and 'Mr He' were lovely and drove us around to many places of interest.
Would definitely stay here again. Excellent location, clean, comfortable and the staff were great
Walking distance to pub street, near mini market, walking distance to night market, nice temple restaurant beside this hotel. Friendly staff, excellent service provided by staff with smile, clean and comfort room. But a lot of mosquitoes around this hotel at night.

As soon as you arrive, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We arranged a pickup from the airport and they were waiting for us when we arrived. The hotel is lovely, small, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We booked a Deluxe Twin and we found the room spacious, clean and comfortable. Relaxing by the pool was wonderful. The breakfasts are great, buffet style along with freshly cooked eggs. The location is fantastic, an easy walk to the markets and Pub street. Our driver for the week was Mr. Rain and he is friendly, courteous and most importantly - a careful driver! Our only complaint was we booked a room with a balcony, which was nice and large, but the furniture was hard and dirty, so we could really enjoy sitting out on it. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it.
Great location, walking distance to all markets, restaurants, bars and local sightseeing spots. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great pool area.
Not sure if it is because of the close proximity to a river (stagnant pool of water) that there were plenty of mosquitoes. The room is comfortable, but there were mosquitoes flying in.... cleanliness can be improved. The staff are courteous and polite though so that is one of the good things I guess
Great service! They arranged pick up at the airport at no charge and organized my tours!
The people working in front of hotel were extremely helpful and friendly.
located close to city center and friendly staffs let us have plesant stay
The hotel is located 5 min away from all the bars and restaurants area in Siem Reap. Great staff and 3 stars breakfast.
Beautiful peaceful boutique hotel located along the river in central location where everything is a short walk. The staff are incredibly helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our morning breakfasts of omelettes, cereal, toast, noodles, rice soup, and juices. The room was excellent and kept cool even with the AC off. The best hotel value of the many hotels we've stayed at in Cambodia.
Amazing Stay, staff very good. We stayed an extra 2 nights it was that good.
Great room and a great location for the hotel (short stroll to pub street but within 100m were several good eateries, a cafe etc). Breakfast was disappointing, staff at times were too attentive but what really let this place down was the noise. Requested a quiet room and we were placed on the 3rd floor - where construction works were taking place directly above us! Several times we actually had to leave the room and go and sit in the cafe / bakery across the road (which is highly recommended). The main menu was good and the food we had off this for lunch / dinner was of a good standard.
Great hotel for the price .Helpful staff.Clean and spacious room .Good location ,5 mins walk to pub street,10-12 mins cycle to Angkor Wat. I reccomend this hotel to anyone especially if you are visiting the first time .
Very close to swendagon pagoda. The staff at the hotel was amazing, the people at reception that were extremeley helpul and friendly. They do all they can to may your stay amazing. I would definetely go back.
Will definitely consider staying again in this hotel
Quiet, serene boutique setting near the hustle and bustle of Pub Street and the Night Market. The Hollywood Boutique offers attentive and gracious hospitality and has spacious, simple and clean rooms. The ambience is simplicity at its best.
Very nice hotel, but the best thing about this hotel is the super helpful "service with a smile" attitude! Staff was easily able to book tours for me to Angkor Wat and at a much cheaper price than the tuk-tuk drivers were trying to sell me directly. The included free breakfast was fresh and sufficient, serving some local fruit, coffee, and even made to order omelettes. Reasonably priced, large rooms, and a very short 2-3 min walk to the Pub Street area made this place a good choice for me. It was just far enough that you don't hear the loud music coming from Pub Street area. Highly recommend this place and I would stay here again.
My wife and I were only there for two nights but during that time we could find any fault with the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly always greeting you with a big smile whenever you walked in. The location could not be better being only two blocks from the centre of town but far enough away to have peaceful setting. We are planning a return trip to Siem Reap and will be staying here again
We had to wait half an hour for breakfast everyday because they didn't start to prepare it. This caused us problems, particularly on the day we cycled to angkor and the surrounding temples.
My wife a I really enjoyed your stay it is in a very good location walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants
Facilities: bathroom drain was clogge; cost of hotel taxi to the airport is high
This is a great hotel with attentive service. It's in the perfect location - a few minutes walk from the restaurants and night markets, but not too close to the noise. The junior suite was extremely spacious, modern and comfortable.
Polite, helpful and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Hotel within easy walking distance to markets, bars and eating places; located in a relatively quieter area. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Perfect location, close to fantastic bars and restaurants. Hotel staff friendly and welcoming. Comfortable, modern room thoroughly enjoyed our stay ... highly recommended
