The farm like feeling, lots of open spaces

Nothing

The property is lovely with a hobby farm vibe, it would be great for children. The cabin was near the lake and well away from any road noise. It felt private and we loved the view of the volcano. Our host was very helpful and kind. Her communication was good with excellent English. The cabin was simple but well equipped. We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay.

We stayed relatively late in the season when it was getting cold. The room heater and hot water struggled to get up to full temperature at night but it was not a problem.

Peaceful location with a beach in the lake from which to see the sunrise and to swim. Peacocks, donkey, and endearing cockeral int he morning. Only 5 minutes from Punte Varas Owner attentive and welcoming.

Spectacular view of the lake and volcano. Comfortable cabin. Good location reasonably near Puerto Varas. Would definitely stay again.

Nada!

Everything! The ambiance, views to the volcanoes, the private beach, the calmness, the kindness of the host Javiera, everything was perfect! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing escape. By car is very close to Puerto Varas city center. We didn't have a car but Uber and buses worked great!

Nothing! Just have in mind that the bathroom is small

Great escape from work and worry, lovely property.

Everything was perfect. The hosts were very nice and helpful, always ensuring we had everything we needed. The cabin was very clean and the heating system very good as well, so it was always a pleasure coming back to it after a long and cold day. There are also a lot of animals in the property, giving a very familiar feeling, from donkeys to peacocks. The view was also astounding, you can see Osorno from your window at morning, and we even got to see some whales (I guess) in the water in front of our cabin.

It was on the lake with a great view!

The bathroom was really small. It was too far from town to walk back and forth.

The cabins are quite rustic but very comfortable. Heat is provided by a pellet stove, one that is easy to use and which heats the cabin quickly. There are only four cabins on a large property overlooking the lake and the volcano Osorno. The property is a five minute drive (when there is little traffic) from Puerto Varas, so restaurants and shops are easy to access. The location is quiet and peaceful, and would be good for families with one or two children. The host, Javiera, is exceptional; extremely responsive and helpful.

The bathrooms are functional but quite small.

The cabin is on the bluff overlooking the lake, with the beautiful volcano framed in the windows. There is a hill and a staircase to the beach, although we only stayed there briefly. The host was wonderful and accommodating, and the lovely welcome and parting gifts were appreciated. It's a short drive into Puerto Varas, which we were okay with. There is a Jumbo (grocery store) about a 20-minute walk / 4-minute drive. Many animals are on the property (sheep, donkeys, turkeys, geese, chickens/roosters, peacocks, quails, and other birds I'm unfamiliar with.) When we asked if the host had things we needed and didn't want to buy (like 30ml sugar for a recipe), toilet paper, or a pan to roast fries in the oven, they were promptly delivered.

The cabin is quite rustic. The bed squeaked, and we could only figure out how to open one window (the one by the kitchen table). The bathroom is tiny (smaller than the bathroom in our 5th wheel!), so if you are tall or a bigger-bodied person, consider this (as we had to sit sideways on the toilet to accommodate our long legs.) The kitchen could use more items and new pots/pans. We must cook due to food allergies/sensitivities, which is essential and one of the points I review for every self-catering property we stay at. That said, there were some basics like herbs/spices, oil/vinegars which is always appreciated.

Personally, everything. Kids loved the animals and feed them

location, views, hospitality, comfort, experience — walking to the beach, feeding Andy and noodle (the donkeys), being impressed by the show off peacocks, the picnic basket breakfast delivered to our door, and the kindness of our hostess … can’t say enough !
