Premium room with sea view was neither premium nor sea view unless you are very tall and can see over the battlements!) Also "sea view" rooms as advertised are North facing so get little or no sun. Pool is warm and clean but only available after 10am (not ideal if you like an early or pre breakfast swim) and is surrounded by high buildings so sun is not always available on the narrow terraces around. Wi Fi was very unreliable

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Nous avons adoré l'emplacement. Notre chambre avec vue sur la mer était vraiment bien. Le petit déjeuner est très bien, nous l'avons pris en terrasse avec vue sur la piscine. Le personnel est très sympathique, rien à dire. Excellent séjour !
Le bémol : pas de climatisation. Les nuits étant plus fraîches en septembre, nous avons dormi la fenêtre ouverte en toute sécurité car nous étions au 2ème étage. En revanche, en période plus chaude voire de canicule, ce n'est pas tenable.

Our bed mattress was very hard and the sheets were not of good quality. There was a lack of toiletries in the room and as the summers get hotter,air conditioning is needed as in installed in most hotels these days. The breakfast is okay but not exceptional . We do love the Ile de Re and the hotel as this was our 5 time staying at the hotel ,and we hope to return ,and see some improvements,in the future.

We had trouble with our car and Jeanne and her colleagues were so helpful, phoning garages and car transport truck, etc. Anything we needed, they helped us with. Also, the hotel was lovely. Our room was cleaned every day. The location in St Martin was excellent. Bike hire also excellent. Pool very nice, too.

Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner hors établissement , préférant prendre ce dernier sur le port, moins onéreux. Nous avons loué des vélos au sein de l'hôtel , très pratique. Je tiens à souligner le professionnalisme, la gentillesse et la discrétion de l'ensemble du personnel de l'hôtel. Merci pour ce séjour. Bonne continuation

Wir hatten keinen Parkplatz reserviert. Das ist glaube ich auch nur begrenzt möglich. Deshalb musste ich mich mit einen Parkplatz in größeren Entfernung zum Hotel zufrieden geben.

No air conditioning…. which seems incredible in this climate. You literally can’t breathe at night it’s so still and the fans they provide are hopeless because the air it’s pushing around is so hot it turns into a heater. You can’t open windows because of noise so you’re trapped in hell if not sleeping.

Gosh it was hot! No air con and the room was absolutely roasting with no breeze. Tiny pool which didn't open until 9am (or later) in an internal courtyard.

Snack bar and drinks to keep you happy! Room was a little snug but ok. Location was fantastic! we went out on the bikes to explore the island but in the evening there was literally 10's of restaurants to chose from. Worth selecting a bigger bed maybe :-) if that's an option. parking too which is a real bonus!
No air con but a fan and it was UBER hot when we were there. We coped fine :-)

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026We used the code to lower the barrier and drive into town and parked right outside the hotel for 15 euros per day. Check in was simple/quick and the room was clean and tidy with reasonable to good facilities, given it is a hotel of character. We spent most of the time cycling and walking and enjoyed the location, which is superb. Returning from our days out the pool was lovely way to relax. Staff very nice and helpful.
We had fairly large suitcases so the room was little tight as it also has two large chairs and a table. It was 37 degrees C at the end of our stay and a fridge would have helped. There was a bit of furniture moving going on in the morning so a little noise, nothing serious.

Je séjournais dans cet hôtel car ma voiture était en panne, j’ai été informée de la réparation de mon véhicule à 13h, j’en ai informé le responsable qui m’a quand même facturé la nuit supplémentaire à 130€, alors que l’hôtel n’était pas plein ! Les chambres sont bruyantes

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Hübsche Zimmer mit Meerblick, tolle Lage direkt am Hafen, aber trotzdem ruhig. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir haben ohne Frühstück gebucht, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Fahrradverleih hat gut funktioniert.
Wir fanden den Aufenthalt rundum gelungen. Im Juni war es noch nicht so heiß. Eine Klimaanlage hatte das Zimmer nicht.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026We loved the location of the hotel next to the attractive harbour, restaurants and shops. We were impressed with the friendly staff and the choice at breakfast also.
We booked a room with a sea view so it was at the front of the hotel. On both nights during our stay we were woken and keep awake by noisy people outside.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Nettes Haus, mit Parkmöglichkeiten direkt am Hotel. Nahe zum Hafen und in die Stadt sowie zum Leuchtturm. Netter, kleiner Pool. Ansprechende, teils auch renovierte Zimmer und Bäder.
Wenn alles ein wenig sauberer/gepflegter wäre, wäre es top. Schade, dass morgens um 7:30 Uhr die Reinigungsdamen schon die Tür zur Wäschekammer zuwerfen…

La remise des clés pour la location de vélo en mode "débrouille toi" sans grande explication. J'ai du remonter à l'accueil.

Lack of air conditioning could be an issue in summer but it was find in a cool May.
