Excellent stay! Staff, room and location was great! Really enjoyed the pool and the water feature. Was great to walk around local shops in the neighbourhood to pick up food, etc
Ein sehr, sehr tolles, nicht zu großes Hotel, das trotzdem nichts vermissen lässt. Leckeres Restaurant, tolle Cocktails und Getränke, 2 Pools und einen Superservice von einem herzlichen Team
The property is gorgeous and very nice to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are spacious and all well equipped. The staff was always friendly and asking if there was anything they could do. Special thanks to Daniel the resort manager who went above and beyond to make us comfortable....he's a great guy and did a super job!!!
Had an amazing few nights with friends in Model Angkor Resort. Staff were incredibly friendly, taking the time to get to know us and our names. A huge shout out to front office, Samny who even took us back to the airport in person. Good variety in buffet and fresh noodles for breakfast. Pools were spacious and quiet and the tuktuk service arenfed by the hotel was excellent. Highly recommend and definitely will return
Hands down the best place we stayed on our asia tour. The food was phenomenal, the staff went out of their way to learn our names. Cleanliness was wonderful. They had a salt water and regular pool, sauna, massage services and more. You didnt have to leave the resort but to see angkor wat! We loved the secluded atmosphere and it would b perfect for get togethers. We had no idea how big it was until we wandered around. Plus u cant beat the price.
15 min drive from city centre. Food is good, better than most restaurants outside. Airconditioner was leaking, but was fixed while we were in the room, inconveniencing us. Staff are very friendly.
Very nice hotel. Super friendly staff that go out of their way to know your name and talk to you. Helpful with tours.
Perfect hotel in almost every way, staff were best I've ever met and so helpful. Slightly outside the centre but to be honest it's a good thing as you get a quieter night's sleep.
Quiet and comforting stay! Extremely pleasent staff whom never fail to greet you by your name and ask how's your day. They even remember details like your flight time and which day you're checking out - really nice of them. My favourite staff was Joy, he's always so pleasent with a huge geniune smile.
Everyone of the staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and very friendly. Some of the nicest people you will meet in Siem Reap.
I found the staffs very warm, friendly and helpful. However, I didnt like the rooms in the old wing as it was dim...The new wing however, was really clean, bright and has that sense of warmth.(unlike the older wing)
Dishonest staff took advantage of our generosity. For our orders at the pool we always paid in cash giving a gracious tip, meanwhile the waiter asked to sign the bill as well. We thought it was a hotel policy. Checking out we were asked to handle our open bills and got presented with all the already paid things. Arguing with it didn’t help because we almost missed our flight and for 3 days the staff took our money and immediately put it into their pocket. The manager handled it inappropriately and made us pay for our purchases again. As I was disputing the claim the receptionist was pushing my friend to leave a review on various websites. We felt mistreated. What an unfortunate experience that spoiled our memory of Cambodia. I still can’t believe it happened to us!
The staff were lovely. Hotel is shabby, walls and floors have stains on them, flaky paint, holes in wooden floor, no water on two occasions, air condition did not work and the TV did not work. Staff did there best but are working in an environment that needs attention. This hotel is not 5 star and I would have rated my experience as 1 if it was not for the staff, who are a credit to the hotel. The hotel did provide a free massage for us not having TV that we booked and paid for.
Fantastic Hotel, very friendly staff. Great facilities and far enough away from the town but easily accessible. It was our favourite Hotel from our APAC vacation and would highly recommend it to anyone
Excellent staff and beautifully designed hotel. The boutique nature of this small hotel lent itself to personal And attentive service. We will stay again!
We had a wonderful stay at Model Angkor! The staff is super friendly and willing to make your stay as good as possible. I have to mention specially Sarah, who really made an effort and was ever so friendly! Also, our driver Lin comes highly recommended.
Fantastic and obliging staffbat all times and facilities and food outstanding. Can highly recommend in a convenient but quiet end of town.
This is a pretty nice hotel, very pretty with large rooms. The pool was nice and they offer tuk tuk tours of Angkor Wat which is nice. The restaurant was very bland and expensive but hotel food is always expensive I guess. The WiFi wasn’t the best, worked only have the time. Otherwise decent hotel.
Manager has excellent pr and met every guest at check in. He was very visible. Front desk staff n rest staff were alert n attentive but housekeeping staff were not as diligent.
The staff, driver, and service was above and beyond I would come here again
The hotel if you check in after dark comes across as dower and depressing, in the light of day the hotel is nice. So the actual hotel in the end was good, however at 6 am every morning of our stay the Christmas music coming from the restaurant waking me up every morning is detrimental to a good stay. The breakfast having said that was lovely for both Westerners and Asians alike. A few tweaks and this would be a top notch place to stay
We were so sad to leave this beautiful hotel, the staff are amazing! .. beautiful pools, cocktails and delicious breakfasts, comfortable beds the hotel really made our visit to Siem reap .. thank you for looking after us so well.
Friendly staff, spacious room with great facilities
A nice clean hotel. Very friendly staff. In a good quite location yet only a few minutes from the bustling pub steet and old market area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Excellent staff, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Lovely restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Beautiful salt water pool and the room was great. Arrangements for excursions were flawless and tuk tuk driver was superb.
A great hotel. The staff were lovely, food was great, room was luxurious. Thank you!
top notch customer service =) model angkor resort is wonderful. the setting is amazing. with beautiful trees, the garden, restaurant and bar overlooking the pool. resort is extremely clean and tidy. Mom Loves the breakfast buffet; especially her hot soup. food at the restaurant was delicious as well. special THANK YOU to ALL the STAFF, all extremely helpful and very friendly. special thanks to Vannak and Ratha - who both arranged my microlight aircraft adventure - an amazing experienced - thank you again. and to Joy our driver to Kulen Mountain - thank you for driving us safety. to the rest of staff Thavann, Pov, Kakada and Phanith - thank you for making us feel welcomed and be part of my 50th Birthday celebration. recommended for a relaxed, serene and quiet resort. top notch customer service!!
This resort has everything you need! The room was amazing and huge and have huge tubs for 2 people. TV can be turned on its arm so u can watch TV/play Nintendo Switch in the Bathtub ;) . Beds are super comfortable and there is a pillow menu as well ( didn´t need it because the standard pillows where so nice. The breakfast buffet is incredible and have everything u need including bacon, fresh fruit ( so good ! ) and Khmer style cooked to order Ramen noodles that are so good u pass out! Unlimited Iced Coffe for breakfast was something I really loved ! All guests gets 20% off on food and drinks during the stay which was very welcome, and Happy hours is between 4pm-8pm and thats 50% off :D The new pool they just built with Saltwater ( not enough salty for me but they would add more they said) was unbelievable ! Cocktails , drinks and food are all very resonable priced. Don´t even get me started on the Staff because they are the BEST! We miss you Mister Sara and I hope We will meet you and your crew soon again ! <3
We had a wonderful 4 days in Model Angkor. I would only grade the hotel as 4 star due to minor design issues such as room lighting and lack of an aircon bar/lounge area. In all other respects it is 5 star. The staff are simply the friendliest and most helpful I’ve ever come across. It’s probably unfair to mention names as they were all superb, but I have to say a special thanks to Nakiim who took us by tuk-tuk to the temples. After long days out, we ate in the hotel every night rather than getting tuk-tuk to city centre. 4 stars for choice but 5 for quality and value. Overall, it’s not in the prettiest of areas, but rather the real Cambodia . However I wouldn’t hesitate to return , and would recommend to anyone looking to avoid the anonymity of the massive hotels beginning to appear in Siem Reap. Ps. Check out the woodwork in the indoor reception- beautiful.
The design of Model Angkor Hotel is an attraction in itself. Taking over ten years to build , this classic hotel is not to be missed. The architecture and design is a reflection of the attention and care delivered by the staff!!
What a great hotel! My boyfriend and I initially booked a 2 night stay but ended up booking an extra night. All staff were extremely friendly from the moment we checked in to checking out. Staff even remembered our names from when we introduced ourselves at check in right through our stay making it feel personal and welcoming. Food in restaurant including buffet breakfast were lovely and not too expensive. The pool was great with lovely surroundings and free towels was good. Room was fantastic, very comfortable bed, bathtub in room and the shower were both great with warm water, mini fridge was also good. Staff were extremely helpful when we were planning onward travel and even gave us a complimentary traditional Cambodian scarf on departure which was a nice touch. Hotel is also only a few minutes in tuk tuk provided by hotel to shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
But not a five star experience. It's a bit tatty in the details. The staff are super helpful and the location is a little off the beaten track.
The hotel is nice , really relaxing environment. The hotel employees are very kind. The room we stayed in was spacious, the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety. Cleaning needs improvements!
My partner and I have traveled a lot. This hotel staff truly made the experience incredible! The tours where great, the staff (who seemed to know our names by the end of the first day) went above and beyond on every aspect of the trip. There was a glitch with a cooking class they tried to arrange for us in town and when it fell through they set up a cooking class for us at the hotel which was by far the best cooking class I’ve ever attended the trip to the market was unreal! I would highly recommend this hotel for a number of reasons, but the people working there are magnificent and they make the trip very memorable !
We were 2 families, 4 kids age 3-9. The rooms were large and beautiful, the pool was great, but the thing that stood out was the friendliness of the staff. I would love to stay here again
Lovely calm hotel just out of town great staff and good pool
We absolutely loved our stay at Model Angkor Resort. It was our favorite place of our 2+ week vacation across Cambodia and Vietnam. The staff was outstanding, and the place is beautiful. Highly recommend it.
This resort has to be one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed. The staff were wonderful and so attentive. So eager to make our stay enjoyable from the moment we stepped through the door to the day we left. Mr Py our tuk tuk driver was a amazing and always there to take us to wherever we wanted to go and so full of information about the city that he loved. I would highly recommend the Model Angkor Resort as a place to stay while in Siem Reap.
Needed 2 key cards, went to pool, husband sya yes to rest. Could not use elevator to get down to room.
Fantastic staff, quiet location, great pool, decent food. Great spa (awesome massage) and staff always happy to help in a very friendly manner. Rooms are incredibly spacious with an outstanding bath but light should improve (darkish bathroom). Fresh natural juices would make breakfast perfect. Only real miss. Rooms were very clean but not impeccable (more 4 stars than 5).
Awesome hotel! Great and friendly staff. Everything is super well organisez there. We booked our tours, tuk tuk drivers and massages with the hotel. We had so much fun staying there. It's very quiet, awesome swimming pool and big and beautiful rooms! I totally recommend!!
Visiting for the 1st time Amazing stay here ...The staff was very friendly all shifts (morning /noon and over night .. I really enjoyed my stay here .. All stuff very friendly, helpful and all around good energy. I highly recommend staying here and experiencing this location. Very convenient ! ..Great Job Guys 5 stars
My partner and I stayed for 2 nights in this lovely hotel. The hotel itself and our room (deluxe junior suite) were beautiful and luxurious. The staff were exceptional - super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here for a more intimate experience. I had a Khmer massage which was very relaxing.
Nice hotel, the room is very spacious and the bath room is NICE. The pool area is lovely. The location is good. The staff are really friendly and very helpful
Lovely stay here whilst visiting Angkor Watt. Yes it's a few minutes out of the centre. staff is helpful and friendly
the hotel was full house during my stay, but staffs response to complaints very fast.
full house in the hotel, staffs might miss out some services in the hotel room (cleaning the toilet, forget to spray air freshener in the room). but they response to all the complaints very fast.
nice room, good ambiance, friendly and helpful staff.
We had a lovely stay for 14 days and the staff and our rooms were top notch. Really good service all over. It's not far away from Angkor Wat and we had some very good sightseeing moments there.
This hotel is really charming and very nice for couples or families (maybe not for backpackers or group of friends). Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the pool with cocktails after long day of sightseeing, surfing between tourists crowds, scooters, chuk chuk and noisy downtown area. Good level of English of the staff and always smiling. The suites and facilities decorations are very atypical, with lots of vegetation in the hotel. Feel so calm and almost romantic actually. Only lowlights to me were the breakfast quality (average to good whereas I was expecting good to very good) and distance to downtown (but chuk chuk are very cheap and friendly so this make it fun afterall to use them from/to hotel). Small tip : Go to the roof top near the pool to take pictures...
Yaang Come Village Resort was really lovely. The rooms are very spacious and traditionally decorated. The setting is lush with tropical plantings and they have a lovely spa. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the pool is large and well cared for. Perfect for families and perfect for singles or couples.
This is a rather small boutique hotel and feels very intimate (we get to see the same faces and they'll recognize us despite our short 2 night stay). Staff was efficient, friendly, helpful and was able to assist us in all our needs (tuk-tuk rides around town and back; breakfast box for early sunrise). Ambience was set well, with brilliantly carved heavy wooden doors and gates, and nicely arched tiled roof. Room was very spacious, beds were comfortable. There are ants and other insects inside the room, and the air-conditioning lacked juice even when cranked on turbo, but it does not detract too much from a very comfortable stay. Surrounding area was relatively rural (~ 10 min tuktuk ride from Pub street) and not one that you want to travel on foot when dark.
Overall great charm, great place. You do need to pay a Tuk Tuk each time you want to go to Pub Street. We did not mind. This place is very nice and quiet.
Nothing much to fault, staff are friendly and also greet you and are always willing to help with anything. The resort is in a nice quiet area for those that want to relax. Glad i have choosen this resort.
Room and the facilities were not clean. The staff was kind be but not professional.
The hotel and grounds are truly beautiful. Wish we could have stayed for longer
The hotel was great and relaxing for couples and families. We stayed in the junior suite and only had minor issues. The AC didn't work to the fullest but at night we still were cold enough to sleep after being in the sun all day. The biggest issues we had were the breakfast didn't have many options and the shower was good but it could've been a little more cleaner. Overall this hotel was great and relaxing and food was good little more then if you are out in the town but not too bad for being at a hotel off the beating path. Also the hotel staff was very friendly and were able to help with with anything we had even if it wasn't at their hotel.
Lovely stay here whilst visiting Angkor Watt. Yes it's a few minutes out of the centre, but it's $2 by Tuk Tuk! Staff were always on hand to book us a restaurant in town and Jenny the manager accompanied us to our next hotel when we checked out. Great place to stay
Very nice grounds and landscaping. Authentic vibe. Comfortable and big rooms, very nicely and uniquely furnished. Family room has two comfortable double beds. TV has excellent choice of english language TV. Could have more toiletries like shampoo and shower gel. Not enough for 4 people. Pool area very nice. Massage lady is amazing. Massage is expensive for Siem Reap ( in town 7 USD for 90 min) at the hotel 17 USD. Staff plesent, bit untrained thou. Breakfast fairly basic but tasty and fresh. Location is 5 min tuk tuk ride from anything you would want in Siem Reap at 2 USD cost. Would stay here again. Good value for money.
I love the staff members. They are very sweet and go above and beyond.
Nice hotel, the room was huge and nicely decorated with wooden design. The pool area is lovely. The location is quiet. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The location is not in the town but you can get a tuk-tuk for $2 into the town and the resort's tuk tuk drivers can pick you up from town too if you need. The restaurant is average with mostly western food and the breakfast is basic. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the town if you want to eat something else.
Hotel itself was a bit disappointing, breakfast options could improve. Staff were very friendly. Tuk Tuks were always conveniently outside so it was easy to get into town. About 5 minute ride to pub street area $2/per tuk tuk to and from hotel.
On a 3 week trip, we stayed in 8 different hotels and this one was #1. The staff was amazing. I have never felt so welcomed. Most of the staff knew us by name and always went out of there way to make it so special. Mr. Lee our Tuk Tuk driver was awesome. Mr. Say picked flowers and leaves from a tree on the property and had the chef fry them with a rice flour tempura. WOW! I can not stop thinking about the amazing flavor. Top notch resort. We will be back.
Amazing is the word to describe the place, since we got there until the last second we left we enjoyed every moment. The staff is great and very professional Especially the GM Ms. Jenny and the receptionist Ms. Alice and the hotel Tuk-Tuk driver/ guide Mr. Bean, thank you for making our stay felt like home. The hotel is well placed (10 min from Pub Street) and the food is more than great. Also the room is more than amazing and high quality of service. We highly recommend this hotel as one of the best hotels in Seim Reap.
From the warm welcome by the general manager, Jenny, I knew it was going to be a great stay. The staff were wonderful. The room was big and clean. The shower was huge and the bath was great. It was an authentic Cambodian hospitality experience and I can't recommend it highly enough. Go there!!!!
A great resort. Room was excellent. Only downside was the location. Virtually nothing within walking distance. Had to rely on the tuk-tuk drivers who were very good and helpful - but closer to the "action" would have been nicer.
Excellent staff attention, small convenient hotel with almost everything you need, very good restaurant and near in tuk tuk from central market and pub street. All directions and information about options to know angkor wat temple and other places
We stayed here in Nov 15 for five nights. We were collected from the airport in a very comfortable mini-bus and had a lovely welcome from the staff. The hotel is located a few minutes tuk tuk drive outside the main area of the city, in a nice quiet location. Fabulous rooms, gardens, bar, pool and restaurant. All in all it was a wonderful start to our holiday and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
We have a wonderful time ..... Sokkol and his team gave us a 5 star service ......
Where do you begin when the hotel was as wonderful as visiting the temples! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is attentive and kind, and the rooms are awesome (huge tube, massive shower, thoughtful decor in the bedroom). The hotel has an intimate feel and is set up with different areas to relax and sit according to your personal preferences. A serene pond wraps around the first level rooms, there is a comfortable bar on the second level, a terrace to watch the sunset from and a wonderful pool with comfortable seating options. They picked us up from the airport as well which was very convenient and we also organized our tours through the hotel given their level of service. We actually really liked the fact it was just outside of the main city area (only a few minutes by tuk tuk) to add to the peacefulness and fulfillment the hotel offered. I will certainly be recommending this hotel to friends and clients - it is spectacular and I hope to return.
We've stayed in three hotels (4 and 5 stars) while in siem reap. This one was the best so far. It was low season so there were only few guests. It felt like we had the hotel just to ourselves. The rooms were huge and immaculately clean with simple but tasteful decors. The beds were really comfortable. Only drawback was the breakfast had only few choices which was quite understandable due to the number of guests. Will definitely recommend this hotel
When we first arrived in Siem Reap, someone from the hotel escorted us from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was lovely and immaculately clean, although towards the end of our 4 night stay, the pool could have used some cleaning. Otherwise everything was perfect. You cannot make local calls from your room, but if you dial 0 the front desk will gladly take a number and arrange anything for you... From a reservation at the spa in town or a taxi service to come pick you up. Make sure if you plan on using theie complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport... That you notify them in advance of when you need the ride. Otherwise, their driver may be unavailable as he does not stay at the hotel unless needed. There is also a safe inside the room which we found useful and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Nothing to complain about!
We had a wonderful stay at the Model Angkor Resort & Residence. The breakfast in the morning was substantial and had variety. We made use of the spa and got massages (ranges from $15-30). The hotel arranged for a tuk-tuk for us to visit Angkor Wat. The staff was very friendly and I would recommend this hotel for your visit to Siem Reap.
Rarely are hotel stays emotional, but this one was. My family of four, including two young children, was traveling for two special events and prepaid for large, adjoining rooms, to enjoy what promised to be an important vacation for us. The hotel simply sold our prepaid rooms to others, informing us when we arrived with two children at 10 p.m. that our rooms were gone. I could not believe it, fought vehemently for a refund (which I received only after a lengthy, tense hour), and then could not find the accommodation we sought elsewhere. We ended up taking the lesser accommodation. To make a long story short, this hotel is gorgeous, quietly off the beaten path, and could be a brilliant 5 star retreat. But it is horrifically mismanaged. As I tried sorting out our mess, another customer called at 11 p.m. from the airport - their airport transfer was not there. The next day I waited as another customer was told what other bathrooms he could use since his was broken. We arranged a babysitter, then asked her to come the day before to meet our children and ensure that there were no mistakes. She was late anyway, and the hotel did not realize it, scrambling to call and find her. Why give an even respectable review then? Because at the end of all this frustration, I left something in my room as we left. One of the hotel staff chased us down on the way to the airport, on his motorbike, to ensure that we got it. That was very, very impressive.
This place is new and quiet. Great place for a good rest begore visiting the temples. Stuffs are friendly and attentive. Stay at this gem before everyone gets here.
