My wife and I spent he first 3 nights of our two week Grenadine vacation here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the time we started planning our trip in January. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary cocktail at the upstairs bar. The entire property is in need of a makeover, but this did not have any negative impact on our stay. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel-don't come here. If you want to chill out at the water and be within a five minute walk to several eating & drinking establishments, this is the place for you. Located directly across from Young Island Resort; they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner; happy hour with live music on Sunday. A beachfront king room for less than $200 USD/night leaves no room for complaining or bad reviews-you're in St. Vincent; life is good.
We had a great experience at Sunset Shores Beach Hotel! The rooms were updated and clean, the property was beautiful with direct access to the beach, and the services was outstanding. We would absolutely recommend staying here.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, literally right by the beach, which was without doubt the highlight of our stay. The property itself is a bit dated and would benefit from some renovation and refreshing. The room was clean and well maintained, the hotel just overall shows its age, and some updates would make a big difference. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff - especially the hotel manager. During our stay, my friend lost her phone on a local bus. The manager took it upon herself to track it down by calling people around the phone’s identified location, and then personally drove us to retrieve it. Also other hotel staff helped and checked in on us all throughout. This went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect and was an incredible demonstration of dedication, care, and customer service. It was also a real insight into how things work on a small island: people helping people, taking responsibility, and making things happen. For that alone, this stay will stay with us for a long time.
I stayed at Sunset Shores recently, and the experience was far from what was advertised. The hotel lists a shuttle service, but in reality it’s a “you pay all fees” transport. This felt deceptive, and I ended up paying full taxi rates just to reach the property — an unnecessary expense that accurate information would have prevented. The room did have comfortable beds, which was one of the few positives. Unfortunately, the mosquito situation was bad, and it made the room uncomfortable despite the decent bedding. The biggest issue, though, was the noise. The hotel hosted a wedding during my stay. Although the official event ended around 10 p.m., the party simply moved next door and continued until about 4 a.m. The music was so loud that the windows were shaking. Getting any rest was impossible, completely defeating the purpose of booking a quiet place to stay. Had I known the shuttle wasn’t actually included, I would have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express right outside the airport, which does provide a real shuttle service. After paying taxi fees, additional charges, and losing extra time getting to Sunset Shores, I would have saved money, time, and gotten better rest by staying there instead. The location is good, but that’s the only consistent strength. Between the misleading shuttle claim, the extreme noise, and the mosquito problem, I didn’t receive the value or comfort I paid for. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.
I stayed her twice, for 1 night each, as the plane and ferry schedules to get me from Grenada to Bequia via St Vincent required an overnight stay each way. The staff are very friendly and the hotel, whilst needing a little updating, is in good condition. Nice breakfast, lolvely view from the dining area towards Young Island.
We stayed for one night before we flew home. I would not recommend longer. The restaurant was pretty good and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk staff member was not welcoming and did not inform us that breakfast was included. The beach area was very small had a lot of litter. The pool area was ok.
Pool area was peaceful, Tranquility
I enjoyed the easy access to the beach before and after work
Great
Willing, pleasant staff but management needs to make a serious investment in training and communication with guests. Hotel managers in the Caribbean need to be more visible and accessible.
Great location, great food, great staff, beautiful island.
My kids loved the pool!! I loved the beach which was steps away from the pool! Food there was made to order and was always amazing!
This property is my go to every time! I’m never disappointed!
Easy check in and check out process. Room was ready on fime facility is clean with a lovely view of the ocean. Staff was friendly and very accommodated. Room was clean spacious and comfy . I'd definitely recommend and will be back.
We booked and are staying in the best room of this hotel, but we are very disappointed with the WiFi. The connection is extremely poor, especially considering the price we paid for the beachfront room. Our first impression was not good at all, as there are plenty of tables and chairs blocking our sea view. Most importantly, the WiFi is unacceptable, as we really need a stable connection. Although the room is nice and clean, basic facilities like WiFi should be resolved easily. In addition, the pool is quite dirty, and we didn’t dare to use it. On a positive note, we dined at the hotel outlet every day, and the food was good. However, overall, it is not worth the price we paid
Did not like the bed. The mattress were to soft and sunked in. My back ached the whole time.during my stay. Hot water pressur was very low. Cold water most of the time. I address the matter to the staff incharge. M was yold that all of yhe mattresses were the same, and some people like the sofness.
Cool place to catch a few zzzzz
I typically do not write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience. While the bedroom area and linens were clean, several issues made my stay less than satisfactory. The bedroom had a sliding door that did not have enough panels to cover the entire opening, which allowed light to enter and left noticeable gaps. Since I was on the ground floor in front of the pool I had to maneuver the curtain panels so that I wasn't seen from the outside but that left about a gap in the corner that was not covered. I also discovered that the screen door had been left open after housekeeping, and I unknowingly slept with it open on my last night. The main door to the room was ill-fitted, allowing light to come in and I could see outside through the gaps. There was a chain, but no bolt to attach it to, no dead bolt, just a standard bedroom door lock. In the bathroom, there was a hole under the sink that also let in light from outside, and the grip treads in the bathtub were dirty. After my first shower, I was unable to turn off the water. The only way to shut it off was to use a towel for grip and brace my foot against the wall. I requested a new room but was told that was not possible. When I asked to check out a night early, I was informed I would still be charged for the additional night due to their cancellation policy. The food was not good, though the staff was polite and tried to help where they could.
Overall everything went well,
Food options were not the best
Ok
We had three days on "the mainland" ahead of boarding a week-long sailing trip and booked a room at the Sunset Shores since it was next door to the dive shop we were using. The bad news for us was they had to close the pool to resurface it while we were there, but before we could even say "oh that's too bad" the gentleman at the front desk offered to comp us with breakfast each morning. Done! The entire hotel staff was friendly, engaging, and helpful. We did walk down the waterfront to a restaurant one evening, but other than that we stuck to the hotel bar and restaurant for food and drink. The service is very laid back--they're definitely on island time--but that's not a dig. If you want American-style, rapid service, then go somewhere else. If you want to enjoy kicking back, relaxing, and getting a chance to chat with the staff about the island and the Grenadines, then it's the place for you. And the food is good, too. The room was comfortable and clean, and we slept great. The one thing I completely screwed up is forgetting my British-style travel adapters, but that's on me. The room did have a single USB-A charging port built in to the TV receiver, so that bailed us out. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay with them.
The food was good but options were limited especially the seafood. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Amazing hotel and amazing staff
Young island is directly opposite the hotel. The staff was amazing. The rooms were very clean. The food in the restaurant needs improvement.
Had a good time. Staff were great. Nice property could use some updating
My stay at this hotel was very nice. Overall, it’s in a great location to nice views and restaurants on the boardwalk. The pool is large. My only complaint would be the fact that they have three bars, only one is use at all times, in the same place and only one bartender at a time.
On the beach in Villa
Great device
We stayed 1 week at Sunset Shores. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff and service provided. When we arrived, we experienced a few issues with the room. Upon request, we were courteously moved to another room. I would most definitely stay again at Sunset Shores.
I like the view of the sunset and the ambiance of the property.
I love this hotel. The rooms are nice although they are currently renovating some, the food is good and grounds are beautiful filled with fruiting trees, unlike the US. Any challenges you might encounter will be addressed as swiftly as possible. I've already booked for my vakay next year.
Always love my stay here!! The front desk ladies Erica and bar staff.. Lyndon, Chisom to name a few The Gm’s here very helpful. No plasce I rather stay for Vincy mas. SEE YOU GUYS NEXT YEAR
My room water pressure was trash but the no sense of urgency in tone was astonishing. They did send several people to look at it and somewhat resolved it but due to that and it seems there’s no overnight staff I would most likely not stay here as a single visitor especially with the extremely low water pressure like lowwwwwwwee!
A bit dated but overall a good stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The AC didnt work 100% but it was hot outside so that could have been the reason. Travelled with a 4 month old so the room chosen was on the ground floor. Beach was really nice. Staff was exceptional. The only downside, which is not really one, was the property catered for graduation/prom for schools which they advertized for 6-10pm but it ran to 2am. There at about 1am on the night which was a bit loud for the baby but we managed. The hotel is comfortably for the price. If you are on a budget, i would recommend.
Everthing!
My recent stay at Sunset Shores Hotel was an absolute disaster, and I strongly advise against booking a room here. From start to finish, it was clear that guest comfort is the last thing on their minds. The first night was miserable due to a non-functional AC. Housekeeping clearly hadn't done their job, and I was left to swelter until a kind young lady brought a fan. While I appreciate her assistance, it shouldn't have been necessary in the first place. The second day brought a new level of torment: relentless construction noise that lasted all night. While I understand that renovations happen, it's completely unacceptable for them to continue past reasonable hours and into the late night. By 11 PM, the noise was unbearable, making sleep impossible. When I called the front desk, the man's dismissive response was, "Well, ma'am, they will finish soon in 15 mins," before even offering an apology. As a business traveler, I've stayed in numerous hotels across the Caribbean, and I've never encountered a situation where guest discomfort due to overnight construction was tolerated. This experience unequivocally demonstrates that Sunset Shores Hotel has a blatant disregard for its guests. Save yourself the frustration and discomfort. Do not stay at Sunset Shores Hotel if you value a good night's sleep and basic guest consideration
The restaurant staff are irreplaceable. Sunset Shores is my favorite place to stay when I'm in St Vincent. The team make you feel at home, yet are professional. The hotel plant itself can do with some upgrade including better locks and latches on doors from a security perspective.
The property continues to show improvements. There are some little things that need addressing as they go along, my main concern is the restaurant staff, they continue to show some mix attitudes. This can be corrected by the proper workshops and training. Over all I am very comfortable staying at this property. Huston and Lyndon from the bar always goes above and beyond to make guest feel welcome. I will always stay here when I am in Saint Vincent.
I stayed a few times over my stay in St Vincent. Very very lovely hotel. Renovated rooms are modern and lovely. Staff are hardworking and have exceptional customer service skills. Top choice for SVG.
This property is clean, safe, and very accessible to the beach. The staff is actually very courteous and professional. I would recommend this property 10 out of 10 every time.
This was our first trip to St. Vincent as a family. The hotel was beautiful! Comfortable rooms with A/C. The staff was SO helpful! The front desk helped arrange a driver to dark view falls. Food was great and so fresh! Swimming in the sea behind the hotel and able to walk to several restaurants within 5 minutes
Beautiful Ocean View, Friendly, helpful staff.
I had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff was amazing, friendly, polite and very helpful. My room was a good size. The hotel was kept clean at all times. The food was very good -- especially the conch roti. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy any of the mangoes on the property as they weren't ripe before I left. I would definitely stay there again.
I treat this hotel as a second home. Staff are helpful and renovated rooms are lovely. As it is a rainy season I recommend you use repellant and bop out the rooms.
I brought a group of 14 people to St Vincent for a scuba diving trip, and I chose Sunset Shores for our base because it was next door to the dive shop (and was one of the shop's recommendations), and the price was very competitive, and in particular because they had an adequate supply of rooms with two beds. The entire process went smoothly. The front desk responded to all of my inquiries. Once there the rooms were plenty spacious, everything worked, and they were responsive to any questions or concerns. The food at the restaurant was exceptional as well. Overall I give Sunset Shores my enthusiastic thumbs up!
It was an amazing experience! The meals were delicious and the service excellent!
Receptionist was awesome. Very friendly and warm. Improvements can be made to the internet. Wifi in the room kept dropping.
My stay here was better than at Beachcombers Hotel. I enjoy the close proximity to transportations. The drive way is like a workout way, if you needed a little workout. I did not eat much at the property since I wanted more local cuisines. My first night I had some bakes and fish and it was good. Love the sitting area by the beach facing the ocean, where you can enjoy and relax. There were still doing some improvements from the hurricane. Some of rooms patio chairs and cushions may need some changes if it is broken or torn. Overall it was good experience.
The views were outstanding… swimming pool… outdoor bar and beach fabulous
Smaller hotel - nice bright rooms - super clean - staff super nice Close to local restaurants - food on site was excellent
Beautiful property with great staff and delicious food!
Wonder staff. Beautiful setting. Very relaxing and safe space
Cleanliness
We enjoyed the beach and the hotel grounds; the staff was helpful, patient and friendly. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. You'll love "Polly," the resident parrot. This was a great location from which to explore the entire island over a week. Our only complaint is that our dinner served there was very slow, and when it finally arrived, it was overcooked. I don't think this is a regular occurrence, though. I do recommend Sunset Shores for your stay on St. Vincent, whether you like to get out and explore the island or just enjoy Villa Beach, where the hotel is located.
The bed was very high and they lowered it Good food. Don’t drink the rum punch
Sunset shores was very clean, welcoming, and had friendly staff. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. Housekeeping kept the room clean & stocked daily. We stayed for a week on a family vacation, and wished we could’ve stayed longer!
This was a very nice small hotel. The staff was so friendly and competent from the front desk to security. The bed was so comfortable, rivaling well-known 5 star resort hotel beds. Everything went smoothly even before arriving, arranging an airport transfer all the way through departure. The room was great as were the amenities. Nice selection of tea in the room, plus coffee. Washcloths provided and towels were fluffy. The only disappointment was the restaurant menu and food. The basics were good at breakfast, but the fresh grilled fish at dinner was not well-prepared. So, I just ate at restaurants nearby, which were easy to walk to.
I often day dream about my stay at this hotel, it felt like home away from home. The rooms were clean, comfortable and house keeping came everyday with a tidy and fresh towels. The staff were accommodating, the restaurant food was nice. It’s about 16 mins walk to a supermarket and other restaurants along the board walk. The hotel grounds were lovely and don’t even get me started on the beach. I’ve been to many beaches in different countries, but the beauty of this beach was astonishing. There is no doubt I’ll be back to St Vincent again and I will book this hotel every time!
Beautiful. Amazing. Friendly. The best.
We really enjoyed our stay here . Great staff from top to bottom . Seeing the people arriving from the cruise ships was was exciting.

Friendly staff and very grounds Overall good place to stay On site restaurant was a bit pricey , but a short walk on broadwalk , you can find many more economical options
Friendliness of the staff, lots of restaurants nearby and lots to do
It was great
Resort rooms were nice and clean. Would go back again if we travel back to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Staff was friendly and helpful but beach was not what we were expecting .... could have been cleaner. I liked Paulie the Parrot. Nice little touch having him there as the national bird of St. Vincent is the Parrot.
This hotel has a great view. 2 minute boat ride to Young Island. Close to Kingstown, Arnos Vale and the Airport. The staff at the hotel is phenomenal. Front Desk - Erica, Angelique, Ronesha, Solange. Housekeeping - Denise. Restaurant/Bar - Hudson, Ronesha, Sharlon, Lyndon. Security- John, Barker, Shallow, Raguette. All of the staff provided a great customer experience. Helpful in suggestion of different places to eat and visit. Staying here was like staying with Family. Hotel is 20 feet from the beach. All the rooms have a view of the Caribbean Sea. Aproximately 90 minutes drive to Dark View Falls or Owia Salt Pond. 30 minutes to Montreal Gardens a must visit. Everything and everyone at the Hotel went above and beyond to made sure we had a great stay. If anyone write anything negative about this place then it the reviewer is just a miserable person. This place is nice and quaint. Very peaceful, walking distance to Fantasea Tours that does trips the the Grenadines.
The rooms are comfortable, although there was no water for one of the days we were there. This issue was poorly communicated. Food at the restaurant is OK, but wait times are very excessive, even with very few guests in the hotel. The area leading to the beach is nice, but there should be an organized beach clean-up between the hotels in the area, a lot of plastic debris. Staff were friendly and helpful, but somehow limited.
We throughly enjoyed the accommodations for our work trip. We booked an ocean view room which was lovely and comfortable. The conference room and onsite staff were well organized and on schedule. Food service / breaks went smoothly and overall the workshop was productive and well run. The food at the onsite restaurant was great - we dined there multiple times. The staff was attentive, kind and fun. We walked as far as Blue Lagoon and popped in to the (multiple) restaurants along the way. Everyone was very nice and happy to chat. We travel often but traveling to the Caribbean (West Indies) is our favorite - island time and life, soca music, walking around, swimming in beautiful water, jumping on a local bus instead of taxi, & spending time with locals. 10/10
Reception was quick and everyone was very friendly. Everywhere we looked, the grounds, restaurant, bars, and our room was really clean and fresh looking. This was our third visit and we will definitely return again.
The hotel staff is friendly but the hotel is very run down and would need some love. The beds are tiny.
Great location with easy access to beach, boardwalk and transportation to the city. Uncomfortable bed and slow service at restaurant
it’s right on the beach, which was perfect for me
As in the name Sunset Shores, the sunsets are amazing.
Good value for money
Too quiet. especially on the weekend. staff very friendly and helpful. willing to go beyond.
The staff was pleasant and made you feel at home. The food was on point.
A very reasonably priced hotel right on the beach. Swimming pool. Good food and drinks although could do with a bit more Caribbean food. Large comfortable rooms. Really lovely staff. Minor things I would change would be to have more sun loungers with umbrellas, and net curtains or similar so that others can't look into your room in daylight if you don't want to use main blinds. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent location with friendly staff. Rooms were a bit dated but very clean and comfortable.
.
Stayed here several times and enjoyable each time.
I would never in my over 3,000 reviews recommend this property. I found it to appear to be tired as well as the staff. We lounged at the beach for the day and went to the bar area to order lunch. They were no other guests in sight having food or drink. The bartender took our order. Even though we were the only guests; it took 30 minutes with him in bring us our water and drinks. We waited an hour and a half for chicken fingers, fries and grilled fish. He forgot our silverware so we waited 15 minutes as our meal got cold to remember our silverware to now eat our cold food. He made NO apology as I explained once again that our daughter in law was pregnant and needed to eat. He said they were “busy inside “. We saw nobody inside.
Friendly staff, reasonably priced and comfortable. Some of the fixings were dated and they need to get blackout curtains especially with the security lights outside the window 😒
Hotel is tired and needs a modernization. Restaurant food is terrible unfortunately. Location amazing with great beach and sea access. Staff good. Just needs a minor remodel and some modernization.
My husband and I CANNOT say enough about this place! We came here last years for three weeks and absolutely loved it! We like to try new places each trip and chose Grenada this time….but we took a bunch of days in the three weeks to come back here! All the staff here have been beyond amazing. The restaurant/bar staff…Hudson and Ronesha are the BEST and have made this place feel like home. The security staff, housekeeping staff, reception staff and management are also great and go above and beyond to make the stay perfect!! We will absolutely be back as often as possible and can’t say enough good things about here.
well its a lovely hotel back again and looking forward to going this year its very nice a quiet that is what we are looking for peace and like a lot of hotels here need to speed the food service the beds are real nice and do get a good sleep and air con is perfect we have a family member who comes down to see us which is nice and town and banks not to far away, the staff real friendly which makes the hoilday even better.
The property needs some updates, the toilet didn’t flush properly, vanity was too low, the mattresses were too soft and chairs in the balcony all had holes. The wifi was terrible, cut after every five minutes.
Nice rooms, very courteous and respectable staff.
Great
Peaceful
The restaurant service was poor. Day one I waited 2 hours for dinner. When it arrived it was disgusting. Tasteless and withour any flavour. Another day I waited one hour and ten minutes for 3 hotdogs for my grandchildren. It came with bread and ketchup. NO other condiments were offered. It came with no napkins. Breakfast is too expensive especially given the horrible wait and the amount that it is.
This stay exceeded my expectations, the staff was friendly and polite and the service was exceptional. The rooms are nicer in person than what is showed here, rooms are nice and cozy. The hotel being on the beachfront was an absolute plus and it’s located in an area where you can walk to the nightlife.
Staff were pleasant...big bed...beach access...food were delicious
This property has easy access to the beach comfortably bed and clean room. The staff was great . I had a Little issue while checking in but it was easily resolved.
Best Hotel for Vacation, It’s located close to the ocean beach, friendly staff and other workers ,Need more security and proper door lock Me my family and my friends LOVE this Hotel 👍
Beautiful property next to the beach, with a great in-house restaurant.
Great hotel next to the beach!
Beautiful location on the beach. Rooms were clean and the surroundings pleasant. The food at the restaurant was lacklustre but there are dining options close by.
I absolutely loved the hotel. It was so very convenient and the staff were so sweet and accommodating. They didn’t get 5 starts because upon arrival I was advised the pool was not operating and I specifically booked the hotel and room so I can relax in the pool. I wish they were forth coming with that information before booking and arrival. They do accommodate you and give you pool access to their sister hotel young island resort which is fabulous and short walk and a 2 mins ferry away but still more than I wanted to do on my relaxing birthday trip!
Amazing view of the water/beach. The property was well maintained. The restaurant was really nice with wonderful food and drinks. Great place to socialize either at the restaurant bar or pool bar. Amazing hotel staff starting at the front, housekeeping and I must stay the restaurant/bar staff were superb. Amazing customer service skills, ensuring that you are pleased and going the extra mile to satisfy the customer
